Cómo identificar revistas de acceso abierto de alta visibilidad e impacto
El acceso abierto a la investigación científica ha demostrado ser una poderosa herramienta para democratizar el conocimiento y promover la colaboración entre académicos de todo el mundo. Sin embargo, con la creciente cantidad de revistas científicas disponibles en línea, identificar aquellas de alta visibilidad y reputación puede resultar una tarea desafiante. Aquí es donde entra en juego este valioso recurso desarrollado por el Equipo de Ciencia Abierta de la Universidad de La Frontera, en el marco del Proyecto ANID - Ciencia Abierta INCA 210024, que presenta herramientas clave para realizar esta importante tarea.
Una de las herramientas mencionadas en el documento es "Scimago Journal & Country Rank" (ScimagoJR), una plataforma en línea que proporciona métricas y datos de visibilidad e impacto para revistas científicas. ScimagoJR se basa en el índice h de Hirsch y en otros indicadores bibliométricos reconocidos internacionalmente. Al utilizar ScimagoJR, los investigadores pueden evaluar la calidad de una revista en función de su factor de impacto y otras métricas relevantes.
Otra herramienta destacada es "Google Scholar". Esta popular plataforma de búsqueda académica permite a los usuarios explorar literatura científica, tesis, libros y artículos en diversas disciplinas. Además, Google Scholar ofrece la posibilidad de encontrar revistas de acceso abierto y evaluar su impacto a través de citas y menciones en la comunidad académica.
Es importante resaltar que este documento es una guía práctica y detallada sobre cómo utilizar estas herramientas para identificar revistas científicas de alta calidad y acceso abierto. Siguiendo los pasos y consejos proporcionados, los investigadores pueden tomar decisiones informadas al seleccionar la revista más adecuada para publicar sus trabajos.
En un mundo cada vez más conectado, donde la ciencia y la investigación deben estar al alcance de todos, el acceso abierto a las publicaciones científicas se convierte en un pilar fundamental para el progreso de la humanidad. Lanzan proyecto Ciencia 2030 para potenciar la ciencia aplicada y la innovación
La iniciativa busca incentivar el vínculo entre las nuevas generaciones y las distintas realidades territoriales, nacionales y globales.
La Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María en conjunto con la Universidad de Valparaíso, y en colaboración con la Agencia Nacional de Investigación y Desarrollo, ANID, realizaron la presentación del proyecto “Ciencia e Innovación 2030: Una alianza para los desafíos del futuro”. La iniciativa tiene como objetivo fomentar la ciencia aplicada y la innovación en las facultades y departamentos de ciencias de las universidades del consorcio, y así respaldar la diversificación de la matriz productiva a través de nuevas generaciones de profesionales de las ciencias que estén vinculados con las realidades territoriales, nacionales y globales.
El financiamiento del proyecto proviene de la Subdirección de Redes, Estrategia y Conocimiento de la ANID y tiene como propósito impulsar la ciencia y la tecnología en el país. Asimismo, Ciencia e Innovación 2030 busca establecer estrategias que permitan integrar la investigación y la innovación a la sociedad y de esta manera contribuir al desarrollo del país en el ámbito científico-tecnológico.
Juan Yuz, rector de la USM y su homólogo de la UV, Osvaldo Corrales, lideraron el acto, donde también participaron el seremi de Ciencia, Tecnología, Conocimiento e Innovación de la Macrozona Centro, Jorge Soto; el vicerrector académico de la USM, Andrés Fuentes; la directora general de Investigación, Innovación y Emprendimiento de la USM, Mónica Pacheco; el vicerrector académico de la UV, Carlos Becerra; la vicerrectora de Investigación e Innovación de la UV, María Soledad Torres; y el vicerrector de Vinculación con el Medio de la UV, Carlos Lara. A la cita también asistieron directores y directoras generales, investigadores y estudiantes de ambas instituciones.
La máxima autoridad de la USM, Juan Yuz, reveló que la iniciativa busca fortalecer el trabajo en ciencia dentro de las instituciones y ponerlo en valor en la sociedad. “Es un proyecto muy interesante, en el sentido que nos permite actuar con universidades de la región, como la Universidad de Valparaíso, con la cual tenemos una larga historia de colaboración. Además, el proyecto cuenta con ejes importante de desarrollo, como llevar el trabajo que se hace en ciencia al interior de nuestras instituciones y ponerlo en valor en la sociedad. También nos va a permitir y relevar el rol de nuestras investigadoras, nuestras académicas, y esperamos que nos permita atraer a muchas mujeres de ciencia y tecnología, y aportar al desarrollo del país”.
También señaló que, al fomentar el desarrollo científico y tecnológico en la región, la USM busca fortalecer el ecosistema existente y reconoció la importancia de contribuir en la valoración y aplicación de la ciencia.
Fortalecer la investigación
El rector de la UV, Osvaldo Corrales, manifestó estar muy entusiasmado de fortalecer las capacidades de investigación y ponerlas a disposición para atender los grandes desafíos que tienen la región y el país. “Estamos muy contentos de estar lanzando este proyecto de Ciencia e Innovación 2030, en conjunto con la Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María, con la cual queremos hacernos cargo de una brecha que tenemos en materia de innovación y transferencia tecnológica. Nuestro desafío es, por supuesto, solventar y fortalecer nuestras capacidades de investigación, pero sobre todo ponerlas a disposición de resolver algunos de los grandes desafíos que tienen nuestra región y el país. La única forma en que nuestro país alcanzará el desarrollo es precisamente a partir del desarrollo del conocimiento, de agregar valor al proceso productivo, de diversificar nuestra matriz productiva, pero también de enfrentar desafíos muy relevantes que estamos teniendo en múltiples áreas”.
Corrales afirmó que el proyecto representa una oportunidad única para el desarrollo del país a nivel científico y tecnológico, y espera que tenga un impacto positivo en la sociedad y la economía en los próximos años
En esa línea agregó “esperamos que esta iniciativa contribuya a que nuestro país mejore y fortalezca sus capacidades de investigación y supere esta brecha que hay entre la investigación y la innovación y la transferencia tecnológica”.
De igual manera, el vicerrector académico de la USM, Andrés Fuentes, acotó que “la importancia de la alianza entre la Universidad de Valparaíso y la Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María radica principalmente en que tienen ejes formativos distintos. En particular, la USM tiene un desarrollo principalmente tecnológico, mientras que la Universidad de Valparaíso tiene una tradición importante en las ciencias básicas, y pienso que esa combinación es esencial para el éxito de este proyecto”.
En tanto, María Soledad Torres, vicerrectora de Investigación e Innovación de la UV, indicó que “la unión con la Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María no es nueva. Actualmente tenemos dos programas de doctorado en conjunto y, además, nos une una larga historia de colaboraciones en investigación. De tal manera que este lanzamiento es una nueva oportunidad que nos va a permitir seguir colaborando de mejor forma entre todas las distintas áreas de las ciencias que están comprometidas acá. También permitirá que nuestros estudiantes tengan un nuevo enfoque sobre la innovación y el desarrollo, y poder capturar todo lo que significa esta nueva forma de hacer educación en las distintas áreas de la ciencia”.
Ricardo Bravo, decano de la Facultad de Ciencias del Mar y de Recursos Naturales de la UV, expresó que “es un proyecto tremendamente importante, con muchísimas proyecciones, desde la alianza que significa estar trabajando en conjunto con la Universidad Técnica Federico Santa María, con la cual tenemos una larga data de interacción, hasta lo que significa este aprendizaje en términos de traspasar la investigación básica a la investigación aplicada. La innovación, el emprendimiento, como también la relevancia de propender a la igualdad de género son algunos de los aspectos que considera este proyecto. Por lo tanto, estamos muy motivados y tenemos bastantes expectativas”.
Vinculación con el medio
Con relación a este contexto, Carlos Lara, vicerrector de Vinculación con el Medio de la UV, destacó que “este tipo de proyecto es trascendente para la vinculación con el medio de ambas universidades, porque busca acercar la ciencia a la sociedad a través de productos que el proyecto genere, de forma tal que va a permitir no solamente un acercamiento por medio de acciones, sino que además con productos concretos que tengan un sentido para la sociedad y la región. Me quedo con dos grandes ideas: la modificación de planes de estudios por un lado y, por otra parte, la puesta en valor y el aporte de la mujer en el área de la ciencia”.
Carlos Becerra, vicerrector académico de la UV, señaló que “es una iniciativa muy relevante que nos permite potenciar la ciencia, pero también la transferencia y la innovación. También es muy importante cómo miramos los perfiles de egreso y la formación de nuestros estudiantes de pregrado y postgrado en aspectos tan relevantes como la ciencia, la innovación y la transferencia tecnológica. Pero también la formación y el trabajo conjunto de nuestros académicos y nuestras académicas. Por lo tanto, es un proyecto muy relevante para la sociedad, para el país y para nuestra región”.
Durante la ceremonia se presentó el comité asesor del proyecto, que apoyará en la definición de estrategias y lineamientos para poder aportar con soluciones concretas desde el área de la ciencia. El equipo estará conformado por el gerente de Capacidades Tecnológicas de CORFO, Fernando Hentzschel; el director ejecutivo del Distrito de Innovación V21, Jaime Arnaiz; el seremi de Ciencia Macrozona Centro, Jorge Soto; la experta en emprendimiento y liderazgo femenino María Esther Fernández y Marcela Carrillo, de la Red Asistencia Digital Fortalece PYME Aconcagua–Quillota.
También se agradeció el apoyo de decanos y directores de departamentos, tales como Ricardo Henríquez, director del Departamento de Física de la USM; Alejandro Allendes, director del Departamento de Matemática de la USM; Luis Espinoza, director del Departamento de Química de la USM; Marisol Tejos, decana de la Facultad de Ciencias de la UV; y Ricardo Bravo, decano de la Facultad de Ciencias del Mar y de Recursos Naturales de la UV;
La ceremonia contó con la clase magistral del académico Eduardo Vera, doctor en Física de la Universidad Brown (Rhode Island, Estados Unidos), quien ofreció la conferencia “Innovación desde la Ciencia”.

Not the Mama...or the Father
This takes place in a universe where Jango Fett survived Geonosis AND where Palpatine is defeated without Order 66 coming into being (the chips still existed, yes that is important).
After the war ends there is an absolute legal quagmire regarding the clones. Their origins (Possibly commissioned by the Jedi, a Republic Entity, outside of Republic Space, on Kamino, using the DNA of a Non Republic Citizen for a Republic Army, paid for by means that no one has been able to identify-presumably illegal and/or embezzled) mean that acknowledging their sentience also means that everyone involved broke so many laws that prosecution would take a decades. This compounded by the fact that it is an all or nothing kind of situation, on paper the Jedi who did their best were tied to those crimes just as thoroughly as senators who abused the Guard. While the Jedi, as a whole, would be willing to face that prosecution if it meant the clones would be considered sentient, they had rather less power than the Senators who did not want to face their crimes. In the end the only way to get the support for the Clone Rights bill was to add a clause that the bill would not be considered retroactive. The clones would be considered sentient after the bill was turned into law but could not seek any kind of reparations, back pay, or even acknowledgement that their rights had been violated prior to the law.
NOTE: It horrified everyone (though it should be acknowledged that the Jedi and the Clones were horrified for very different reasons than many of the Senate) when the Coruscant Guard successfully sued a number of Republic Senators, their aides, and several citizens for ‘sexual abuse of a non sentient’(It was a very odd lawsuit where Thire, who had taken to law with a frightening passion, was able to argue that the Clones could bring the suit as their own owners, since being sentient with a start start date essentially meant that they now owned themselves and the laws around abuse of non sentients are written so that new owners can sue past owners for abuse-written so that animal abuse could be fully prosecuted even years after the fact). Criminal charges were even filed, though it was harder to get those charges through the system.
Jango Fett, due both to the Clones legal tangle and how it had to be resolved, could not be brought up on charges for his part in the creation of the clones, their training, and the chips. None of it was technically illegal. The fact that all of the clones looked like him meant anyone who did not know better tended to consider the clones his children. At first Jango was just as quick to correct people, somewhat violently.
However as more and more clones began to distinguish themselves he started to play into it. Saying how proud he was of his children and that his genetics must have been superior (incidentally giving Boba more than one complex in the process). Most of the clones have no idea what to do with this behavior, since acknowledgement by Prime was something that almost all of them wanted as children. Also he wasn’t really acknowledging any clone in particular. He was simply soaking up the accolades of being associated with so many driven, accomplished people.
Though the Commander batches tended to be the most well known, every batch of clones had at least one or two members that distinguished themselves in a positive manner.
Then comes the very public wedding of Commander Bly and Aayla Secura. While the two are very much in love it is also a political/PR move. The scandal of the Amidala/Skywalker marriage left the galaxy with a very skewed view of the Jedi and marriage. The fact that Skywalker would go on to tell anyone who would listen that he was kicked out for falling in love made the issue worse. (Commander Cody and Obi Wan were also considered for this PR move, however they were not quite at the point where they wanted to get married, also Anakin’s…reactions to the scandal of his marriage left some scars for Obi Wan. It would be quite some time before being perceived by a large crowd of beings-with the exclusion of the Jedi or the clones- would be something Obi Wan could tolerate)
Though the Jedi wedding traditions are typically a private affair, with permission of the happy couple every tradition would be made into a public spectacle with explanations for the traditions. One such tradition is that a parental figure (generally the Master if it is a Jedi) for each member of those getting married would escort their children down the aisle, as it were. This was a way for the parental figure to signal their support, or at least acceptance, of the marriage. Within this tradition it was very noticeable when a particular parental figure did not show up…or was not invited.
The public nature of the ceremony meant that Jango knew when and where to show up. He did not think much that he was not specifically invited, having bought into his own propaganda of being the father of the Clones. He arrives at the staging area, Boba in tow, to loudly announce that he was there to walk Bly down the aisle. Very publicly.
All preparation stopped for a moment, a silence descending that almost echoed. Then Bly scoffed loud enough to be captured by the recording equipment (Every moment of each tradition was being recorded by no less than three recording crews at all times, currently there are six recording the lead up to the ceremony).
Derision dripped from every syllable coming from Bly’s mouth, “Why should I care about your approval of my life partner” (harkening back to the meaning behind the tradition).
Jango spluttered about being Bly’s parent.
Bly tilted his head, eyes distant as if looking into the past, “What was it you said, when you heard Ponds ask Alpha-17 for a name?”
Jango looked perplexed, clearly not remembering the interaction.
Wolffe stepped from crowd, “you said, ‘livestock doesn’t need a name’”
Cody took his place at Bly’s side ‘You are no parent to us, you lost that title when you sold us.’
Bly nodded along, “Cody is walking me down the aisle (In the background Alpha grumbles that it is only because Cody is tricky little shit. All the clones in the room smother a grin as Cody shoots Alpha a smug smile-NOTE: There was a duel/tournament between fifteen Alpha and CC clones that were considered ‘older’ than Bly on who got the honor of escorting him down the aisle, since the explanation of what constituted a parent left them with the firm belief that any clone that is older than you could be considered such) and you, Prime, are not welcome. Go back to the son you claimed.”
The galaxy at large absolutely ate up the ‘You are not my father’ drama, which frankly served to humanize the clones, and their assorted Jedi, better than anything else.

Miss Anide is a 37yr old chemist who is very much not doing normal chemistry. In her early 20s, she lost a lover dear to her, and began spiralling after she failed to clone her. Now she's been trying to make a chemical that can bring people back from the dead and has taken many lives while doing so. And kill her boss while she's at it.
Her favourite experiment was on someone named Malley, who she successfully managed to get her boss's conscious into and get them out of her way. It was also the most interesting to watch.
You should vote for her because she's also a mother. The clone she failed to make ended up as her daughter and she loves Allay so much. She may be a little evil but she would never hurt a child. She has love in her heart even if it's violent.
Angel also loves cupcakes and would eat them in one go.
