bones please spare some isaac facts...tell me about the vibes and lore and everything you want. also what's his fave blood type to drink if he has one perhaps..(i'm taking notes)
HEHEHE THANK YOU SM i have so much to say about this man. but also he hasn't existed for very long in my brain yet so there's still many things missing from his lore currently. but here is a start for you :^)
isaac is a couple centuries old by now and from a (currently unnamed) bloodline that's a bit different from other bloodlines. all vampires have double fangs, their puncture fangs which are the regular ones they use to draw blood with, and their venomous fangs, which only come out when they want to change someone. for isaac's bloodline, the venomous fangs are a lot smaller which makes them less painful to extend and the process is quicker; but at the same time, even the smallest mistake in dosage could kill a victim rather than change them. this is why his bloodline is very small in comparison to others and changing a human into a vampire is always done in a big ritual rather than on impulse, to make sure they get the right dosage. this is how isaac was turned into a vampire :(
his bloodline is also more likely to have their feral sense (uncontrollable mode in which they hunt for blood until they're no longer feral) activated which is why they have to feed regularly and CANNOT miss any meals unlike other bloodlines who can usually miss a meal or two. their feral sense can sneak up on them without a warning and it will cause them to go feral until either their hunger or their "urge" (something vamps get sometimes when they want to change other humans. it's like a vampire ovulation) is sated. this is why many vampires of isaac's bloodline are pretty rich or important people who have other vampires working for them to provide them with enough blood so they'll never go feral by accident
isaac is VERY different from his bloodline though. he grew up in a modest family somewhere in the east of the united states and after he was turned he hid himself away in an old abandoned chapel for many many years, feeding on wildlife and the occasional unfortunate soul who wandered too far into the woods. he ended up hunted down by heavenly, my other oc for this story, who is a vampire hunter but at that point was still very young and on his first ever vampire hunt without his father; heavenly was unable to kill isaac and let him go, after which isaac moved to jericho :]
jericho is a big city on the west coast of the united states and it's essentially a vampire hub, in the sense that the government knows about the existence of vampires but isn't telling the general public but the general public tends to also know about the existence of vampires but it's also not uncommon to come across people who've never heard of them. but at the same time it's also not a huge shock to find out that vampires exist. and in jericho there's many of them and it's like a safe haven for them. am i making sense here
anyway isaac runs a church in jericho now! it's less used as an actual church and more just a homeless shelter and general shelter and community center and food bank AND blood bank all in one, for humans and vampires alike, and he's a very important member of the community he lives in :^) he really wants to help people and improve lives despite the reputation of his bloodline
it's at the same time pretty dangerous for him to be in such a lively place because if he misses a meal even once he could go on a murderous rampage. but it's a risk he's willing to take, knowing he's making a difference and not wanting people to lose their stability in life because he decides to leave or something like that
i don't have much for the story yet but the idea is that heavenly shows up in jericho give or take 2-3 decades after first meeting isaac and they reunite :^) heavenly ends up helping isaac with the blood shortage crisis and also ends up as his personal blood bag because he's a freak and a weirdo who likes getting his blood sucked by vampires. and also he's gay for isaac. and i get him. me too

who do you think owned cream soda era
hard to believe there were really any winners during cream soda era but okay let me try answer this. i just rewatched the stages for research purposes heavy breathing how has it already been (but also only been) 2 months....
it's difficult to say considering the "era" was a week tops + the fact that the styles varied so much with different members standing out in each concept . BUT i'd be lying to myself if i didn't admit it's kyungsoo for me 😪 what can i say my eyes are always drawn to him during the performances (although that could just be from the gravitational pull of his boobs...) he kinda made the choreo his bitch idk i think his dancing style suited the song really well like he hit every beat (for the most part) but him not having the intensity set to 110% + his constant unreadable expression + his post-military post-lasik gymbro confidence (+ probably the genuine happiness from promoting as a group again) made him look effortless he had that shit down!! there's a specific moment in the relay dance (at 2:22 if the time-specific link isn't working) that really does it for me.
styling-wise xiubaek consistently came out on top for obvious eyeshadow and babygirlism reasons . but i also think mr jongdae fought against the short styling straw he's always forcibly given and actually put up a good fight (not enough for a win but he came close #teammatteo) . i personally really liked his leathery/plastic blazer + leather pants look.
it's just a shame that we didn't get to see much other than what we had already seen in the teasers. no wait we actually saw less than that because we didn't get the colourful outfits.... sigh remember when exo promo days were long enough to get interesting and well-thought-out group styling on stage yeah me neither
going a bit off topic here but side note: no one owned those fuckass suits they wore for inkigayo (apart from mayyybe shoomy his outfit was the best given that he could actually raise his arms in it but calling it good would be a stretch)... horrible decision to put them in restrictive and boring suits for the final live performance of such a complex dance. you can see them having to fight against their outfits throughout the whole song it's so distracting idk how that got approved as a good idea but fuck it what do i know. i didn't particularly like the suit teaser photos either they felt lacklustre in comparison to the others but i guess that's not important because that last set of teasers was always going to be overshadowed by the funky colourful sprite advert photos.
also just have to say that had kim kai not been apprehended my answer probably would have looked very different 💔
tl;dr: kyungsoo.

OMG
Let me tell you lmfao. His name is Astarion he's from a video game (it's only available on pc atm. Will be out on ps5 soon) called Baldur's Gate 3. He's an elf turned vampire that joins your party and you can romance him and yes fuck him in the game. Honestly maaaajor Casteel vibes. Unfortunately I cant play it cause I don't have a ps5 and my laptop can't handle the game. I live vicariously through others. But damn do I want him.
Becs bless you for this absolutely vital information. And bless the game for making him fuckable lmao! They know what the people want. He is a capital H Hottie! And yes, the Casteel vibes! No wonder I was instantly like WHO IS THAT??! 👀🔥😍 God I'm so predictable, I see a pretty man with great hair and fae/vampiric vibes and I go nuts! Unfortunately I'm not a gamer so will also have to live vicariously 😭 But luckily there is a lot of him on my dash right now! So I'm so thankful for that lol

What’s the public perception of humans and vampires and half vampires? How does this vary by region? Are there any diseases specific to vampires?
The public perception that humans have of vampires tends to vary from person to person.
Vampires, both half and full, are generally more accepted in modern society, although there's still a bit of discrimination against half-vampires due to the fact that some humans don't know how to perceive them (half-vampires can survive off both fully human diets, or fully vampire diets, although it is advised to have a mix of both to maintain good health).
Back in the day (medieval times and whatnot) vampires were both hunted and attacked if exposed. A human would never win a fight one-on-one with a vampire, so small human communities were formed to take down vampires. This continued into the late 1970s until it became illegal to attack vampires without a warrant (because the government saw a profit in blood banks and knew that vampires had longer lifespans than humans so they could milk more money out of them for longer! Yay corruption!).
Conservative areas are more likely to have a distaste towards vampires, whereas more liberal/democratic areas don't really mind them.
Politics aside, vampires in Catalyst are essentially an allegory for the existence of queer people, and human beliefs on them are formed as such.
As for diseases: yes, vampires can carry disease.
The disease itself does not affect them greatly. It may make their skin peel a little bit, but other than that they don't tend to feel any serious pain or other side effects.
A corpse cannot be affected by disease, it can only carry it. Vampires are technically just a bunch of walking corpses.
This makes for an interesting experience when it's pandemic season (which is every hundred years. Crazy for humans, not so crazy for vampires). Vampires are usually put under stricter regulations by the government, being forbidden from leaving their places of residence out of fear of spreading whatever disease was affecting humans at the time.

I wish Durge/Tav could've just ask Astarion to drink his blood other than just biting him without permission. It doesn't make sense why they didn't add it since you can bite him? But can't ask him properly? I mean. You need to ask him for a kiss, but can't ask him if he's comfortable with you drinking his blood now?.. it's just unfair. Especially considering his whole story. Drinking someone's blood is, you know, very personal and intimate thing, so it doesn't make sense to me.
