For the cryptid au, Do you have any ideas for the V3 cast? Who would be the human since there is no lucky student? (I’m guessing Kiibo or Tsumugi but idk)

it took many hours of research (thank you yokai.com and the myths and folklore wiki) and many decisions based on bullshit, but! I now have a finished (sorta) cryptid au chart to go on. More descriptions/explainations below the cut:

**EDIT: Some people raised concerns about cultural appropriation, so I’ve changed Maki to Bloody Mary! I apologize for the lack of research on my end!

Shuichi Saihara - Apprentice Grim Reaper

If Ultimate Lucky Student equals human, then Ultimate Detective equals Death. My working theory is that Shuichi was intended to be Class 79’s resident human, but died on his way to the school and was then taken in by Kyoko as an apprentice.

**Maki Harukawa - Bloody Mary

Specifically the version where she was falsely accused of killing a bunch of kids and then burned alive for it. Now she kills, but only when summoned. Kind of like an assassin!

Kaito Momota - Krampus/Goatman

Kaito really wanted to be viewed like Santa and instead he’s viewed as like. Evil Santa. And he’s sad about it. Also he has a bridge, though I imagine he’d be pretty gung-ho about dancing on it. (I don’t have a good explanation for this either. it’s just vibes.)

Himiko Yumeno - Baba Yaga

More like Baby Yaga, am I right??? I was just going to make her witch, but that’s booooring. I’m probably never going to draw like, Old Lady Himiko, though. Maybe she was just too lazy to age normally.

Tsumugi Shirogane - Lizardperson (Chameleon)

She’s totally plain and normal! Don’t look too closely! You definitely won’t find anything! What is this AU, if not a bunch of monsters cosplaying as humans. And what cryptid would be the best for that, if not a lizard person. As for the chameleon, i like the aesthetic more than just regular lizard face.

K1-B0 - Automaton

Yes, it’s lazy. (Though he’s also in contention for Class Human, specifically so he can claim to be a robot. Because his whole childhood he was gaslit by his “creator” into being told he was a robot. And this is the first school where people hear that and go “yup, that checks out!”)

Gonta Gokuhara - Boogeyman

I really screwed myself over by making Taka Mothman, but I just love that idea too deeply to change it. So, where’d I get the Boogeyman? Well, if we operate under the Oogie Boogie man from The Nightmare Before Christmas, the Boogeyman is basically a sentient pillowcase full of bugs! Sounds good enough to me!

Miu Iruma - Nymph (Dionysian)

Again, I really screwed myself over by using all the horny monsters up on other characters, but I think this works! Dionysian Nymphs are particularly frisky and have a propensity for partying and vulgarity, but maybe the booze will knock a good idea loose every once and a while.

Rantaro Amami - Kelpie

Green hair??? Seaweed??? Hatred of cars??? I got nothing, we really haven’t/didn’t see that much of that boy. This is subject to change of his talent is revealed, in which case kelpie status will probably transfer to Tenko. He’s listed as a possible Class Human because he could be the Lucky Student? But it’s unlikely.

Kokichi Oma - Eldritch Horror

I’m not convinced he’s not an Eldritch Horror in canon, tbh.

Kaede Akamatsu - Sylph

I search high and low, yet found no piano cryptids. So I went with Sylph because they’re air spirits, sometimes depicted as hummingbirds (music theme!) Plus, Kaede can be a little airheaded sometimes.

Ryoma Hoshi - Kappa

This was mostly vibes + I drew a doodle of Ryoma with a Lotad-esc lily pad head and fell in love. Plus, uh, drowning is an essential part of both Ryoma and kappas. Dude would probably be the chillest kappa in existence though.

Kirumi Tojo - Jorōgumo

There’s a lot of Kirumi spider imagery. This seems like a shoo-in.

Angie Yonaga - Living Painting

okay this is mostly just me being on an Ib kick, but it would explain why she’s always smiling. Bonus: Atua was/is the name of her painter.

Tenko Chabashira - Yeti

I…I got nothing for this. I ran out of man-hating monsters, and I wanted something that could beat the shit out of you. It was this or a Chimera. I dunno.

Korekiyo Shinguji - Naga

I only know this because of his FTEs Korekiyo compares himself to Medusa at one point and says it’s his favorite folktale. Unfortunately, gorgon has already been claimed by Miss Celestia Ludenburg, but luckily we can still get that snake monster symbolism. Mask is to cover up that unhinging jaw probably. (Also let’s just say that he isn’t dating his sister for this AU, yeah? I don’t want to deal with that.)

Also, some adjustments to earlier cryptids:

Toko Fukawa/Genocide Jack: Some people raised concerns that having any sort of cryptid that “played off” Genocide Jack could be considered offensive to those with DID or MPD, so I changed it. And honestly? The Kuchisake-onna works so much better. Woman who’s insecure about her body image and carries around a giant pair of scissors?? If that’s not Toko, I don’t know what is!

Mukuro Ikusaba: I love Mukuro, but I felt like the Waheela was just sort of me grasping for any sort of wolf symbolism, and it didn’t really work. Now she’s an incredibly intimidating curse demon who can control the weather! Much better.

Junko Enoshima: I think she was technically a Wraith before?? but Lich just seemed more fitting. She’s every DND campaign’s BBG.

For canon clothes - I used to have the official Ruby (RWBY) headphones before they broke. I think I sent something in about this years ago, but it still makes me sad. I asked for a red cloak/cape for my birthday which my sibling is making me too. I am going to be rocking that Ruby Rose cape.

As for clothes I still/already have, I have a yellow jacket that I adore and always wear in Angie Yonaga (Danganronpa V3) shifts. It's yellow and big which fits with canon Angie, but it's also very very similar to a coat I wore in my NWP Angie canon when it got colder, so I like it even more/extra.

I have a bunch of nautical and sea themed clothes for Wadanohara shifts. Just tons of navy sea themed clothes. I recently bought a swimsuit with little navy anchors on it, it's very cute. I sadly out grew some of this, but I still have a fair amount.

I used to put my hair into two pigtails a lot back when Junko Enoshima (Danganronpa) was my main shift - I did have to stop that due to how tender headed I am in this life, though. Same thing with bleaching my hair - I did so because of my common Junko shifts, but it hurt my head too much to continue. Red lipstick and red nail polish also are staples for Junko shifts, plus I have two purses that I really like in that shift too. I wish I could wear high heels, specifically high heeled boots with red laces, but they hurt my feet too much too, aha. I also have some cheetah print dresses/cloth items I wear when in Junko shifts too! I haven't found any that's the exact same as my cheetah print outfit in DR3, but I'm looking!

Along with my swimsuit I got for Wadanohara, I also bought a checkered one that reminded me of my scarf I wore as Kokichi Ouma (Danganronpa V3). Plus, I used to have a Sailor Moon themed swimsuit that looked like our sailor suits for my Usagi shifts. I did out grow that one, though. Another one I outgrew was my Mavis (Fairy Tale) dress that looked almost exactly like my dress in the show... I also had a yellow and black dress that resembled what I wore as Rilliane (Evilious Chronicles) that I think unfortunately didn't make it in the move.

That's all I can think of from the top of my head! I didn't include any cosplays I've done of my kins, just things I wear casually.

The reminder makes Kirumi frown. She tries to disguise the look, but Kaito’s eyes sharpen with understanding. He’s so observant. Barely anyone else in the class knows it, but Kirumi does. She tries to notice everything, where her classmates are concerned, for the purpose of serving them more effectively, and so she can gauge their potential as future clients. Kirumi doesn’t especially want to go to space—though she would if she was asked to—so Kaito wouldn’t be the easiest man to serve, but that doesn’t stop Kirumi from noticing his capabilities, either.

“Maybe more like restless?” Kaito guesses.

“Ah… perhaps.”

My Danganronpa oc, Buyo, and her relationships with Danganronpa V3 characters:

Kokichi Ouma: He teases her a lot. She absolutely hates it and will willingly punch him in the balls every time she sees him.

Gonta Gokuhara: BESTIES. They find and catch bugs all the time together, and when they aren't doing that, they are always by eachother's side.

Shuichi Saihara: In between friends and acquaintances. They've spoken once or twice.

Kaito Momota: She follows him around and sticks sticky notes filled with random doodles on his coat. It annoys him slightly.

Maki Harukawa: Maki hates everyone, Buyo hates everyone (but Gonta). Mutual hatred for each other and everyone else.

Angie Yonaga: Buyo helps with the offerings to Atua by giving her blood to Angie.

Tenko Chibishira: They don't talk much, but Buyo admires Tenko's hatred for men.

Miu Iruma: Grrrg they anger at each other. Similar to Kokichi and Miu but without words. Just deathglares.

Kaede Akamatsu: Buyo thinks she's a bit bitchy. Just the little things Kaede does that pisses Buyo off.

K1-B0 (Kiibo): She will stare at him for minutes on end without blinking, and then go and blink at someone else. It freaks him out.

Tsumugi Shirogane: Buyo likes to listen to Tsumugi rant on about her favorite animes and how she makes her cosplays and such. They mutually enjoy each other's interests.

Rantaro Amami: Buyo had never really talked to him. All she knows is that he's a weed smoker from Kokichi's rumors... and the color of his hair.

Kirumi Tojo: Buyo likes her maid outfit. That's all.

Rioma Hoshi: She doesn't talk to him at all.

Himiko Yumeno: MAAAAGIC!

Himiko is forced into showing Buyo card tricks because it keeps Buyo entertained like a toddler on an ipad.

Korekiyo Shinguji: Once she found out he had a very feminine face under his mask, she kept fawning over him. She eventually got bored though as he was very stubborn and wouldn't show his face to her.

Chiaki Nanami - She’d be higher but I feel like the developers got tired part way through per backstory and just threw something together

Sakura Ogami - Great character overall, but I feel like her design was just… 100% shock value.

Shuichi Saihara - Like… I’d be fine if the game started with him being the protagonist, but I’m still kinda peeved that they just threw him in last minute.

Tenko Chabashira - I’m sorry, misandry is not a personality trait or a quirk and the joke got old quick.

Tsumugi Shirogane - I hate her and everything having to do with the ending of this series.

Toko Fukawa - Why are people cool with her but not Miss Piggy? At least Kermit is into what Miss Piggy does.

Monokuma - I actually threw him in C because I didn’t know where else to throw him. I actually don’t have a lot of feelings about him as a character.

This is more of like a recap chapter and just a bit of talking from the characters. It might be a bit slow paced, but I hope that you all enjoy it just the same as any other chapter.

This is where I give my final warning. This is a sequel. So if anyone hasn't read "Limitless", there might be some confusion and there will be massive spoilers ahead. Please read Limitless now, so then you'll be good to go for "Running".

Enjoy the story.

Kaito tapped his foot impatiently as Maki set up a half dome shape on the ground. They were standing on the side of a road, Kaito's motorcycle parked safely beside it. They had been on the road for forever it seems. Since this morning, at around 7am, they had been on his motorcycle without stopping except for a food and bathroom break and to stretch their legs for a moment. They were used to this by now.

It was about a year ago now since Kaito left home. He didn't want to but he had to. To keep his grandparents, his only relatives, safe. It was only a year ago that he was forced into a fight that caused him to be pushed off of a roof. Only to find out that he could fly. To find out that he was a Limitless. The day after, he was kidnapped by people that claimed to help him and others like him to control his powers. That was a lie. The scientists at the Facility tortured the Limitless. They all escaped about a week after Kaito was put in that place. They set up a hiding place, only to be discovered a few weeks later. Their group had been infiltrated by someone who they thought was a friend.

Tsumugi Shirogane, the girl that loved to cosplay and used metamorphosis to do so, had been dead for a long time. Replacing and pretending to be her was another Limitless that went by the name Junko Enoshima. Three quarters of the group were recaptured, Kaito included. Which left the group mentally scarred, especially Kaito after the last experiment he was in left him in a bad catatonic state. After being rescued by Shuichi, Himiko, Maki and Keebo, they took Kaito home to help him recover. However, despite being home and getting support from his family, Kaito wasn't showing any signs of recovery. Only Maki was able to bring him out of that state with a kiss.

The celebrations didn't last for long. Junko had escaped the Facility during the rescue mission. She tracked the group down to Kaito's home. She was desperate to get everyone's powers by consuming their blood and drown the world in despair. Kaito was able to stop her, but almost died in the process himself when he sent her to space. After the fight, everyone agreed to split up to try to hide themselves better. Even Kaito had to leave behind his family to try to protect them. Since Junko escaped, there was a chance that any surviving scientists might have escaped too. It was better to be safe than sorry.

There was a beep from the device and a rectangular projective of light popped up from it. The sound snapped Kaito out of his thoughts. There was a bit of static, showing that the communication device was making a connection to the others. This was the agreement that everyone decided on. Once a week, at a certain time on a certain day, the group would contact each other to catch up, report anything important and to make sure that everyone was okay. The only time that they wouldn't do this, would be if there were any emergencies. So far there haven't been any problems, but who knows how long that would last?

"Greetings once again everyone."

A flurry of voices erupted as six sections of the hologram showed all the faces that Kaito and Maki knew off of by heart. Angie Yonaga, a girl with expert artistic skill with telepathy; Gonta Gokuhara, a gentle giant capable of communicating with insects; Himiko Yumeno, a girl magician that can turn invisible; K1-B0, or Keebo, a robot that was built by the Facility to track down Limitless but changed sides; Kaede Akamatsu, a pianist that can control minds by playing the piano; Kirumi Tojo, a maid that is capable of making webs out of thin air to help with her work; Kokichi Oma, a pathological liar that can borrow another Limitless's powers for a certain amount of time; Korekiyo Shinguji, an expert in anthropology capable of speaking to the dead; Miu Iruma, a foul mouthed genius that can take apart machines and can put them together to repair or make something new; Rantaro Amami, a boy that is capable to heal injuries and cure diseases; Ryoma Hoshi, a former tennis pro who is capable of running at almost impossible speed; Shuichi Saihara, an apprentice detective that can see over a huge distance, and finally Tenko Chabashira, a professional fighter with enhanced strength.

As for Kaito and Maki, as previously said, Kaito can fly and Maki has telekinesis. She was the one responsible for helping to break everyone out of the Facility, both times. She was also responsible for killing the head scientist in charge of the Facility, Dr White, ending only a little bit of the nightmare.

Everyone spoke like they were all meeting up in real life. Some of them in groups: Shuichi was with Kokichi and Kaede, currently staying with Shuichi's uncle; Rantaro was with Kirumi and Ryoma to try to find his sisters; Miu and Keebo were in Tokyo, with Miu running her own electronics company under an alias and Angie was on her home island with Tenko and Himiko. Only Kiyo and Gonta were on their own, Kiyo continuing his work in anthropology and Gonta hiding somewhere deep in a seemingly unknown forest.

"Hey, sidekick! How's the crackdown on White's remaining people?" Kaito asked Shuichi as the idle chat seemed to die down. That was what Shuichi and his uncle had been working on for a year. It took a while, but it turned out that some of White's people had managed to get away. The numbers were small, but still enough to potentially do damage in the future if they were caught. Unfortunately, telling by the down look on Shuichi's face, the answer won't be good.

"Sorry, Kaito. Every time we find one of them, they commit suicide. They seem to be one step ahead in ensuring that their secrets don't get out." Shuichi sighed hopelessly as Kaede gently rubbed his back in support.

"Big fuckin' shock! They don't want to be caught with their pants down!" Miu shouted, following her eyes so hard that they seemed to go to the back of her head.

"We'll keep trying, but I can't promise anything right now." Shuichi said quickly, trying to reassure them before a panic could start.

"It's no problem, Shuichi." Keebo spoke up, also trying to not start a scene. But it was a problem. Any one of White's people could take over what White had left behind. They could restart the Facility and start the torturing of Limitless all over again. It was only a matter of time.

"Anyone else got anything to report?" Kiyo asked as he brushed some hair away from his eyes. Everyone muttered a no and shook their heads.

"Same time next week then everyone!" Kaede smiled, trying to cheer everyone up. Everyone said their goodbyes, some of their speech overlapping others. The hologram turned static again as everyone signed off. With a quiet sigh, Kaito stepped over to the dome and turned it off. He grabbed the backpack that he and Maki shared (Maki's smaller backpack was tucked safely inside it) and placed the device safely inside it.

"We should find somewhere to sleep. I could do with sleeping in a bed after sleeping rough for a week." Maki muttered. The way she said, it seemed like she was thinking out loud without meaning to.

"Same here." Kaito agreed. He placed the backpack down by the motorcycle. He scanned the wide open field. In the distance, there was a wooded area that the main road leaded into. As far as he could tell, only he and Maki were the only people for miles. "Wait here for a minute." Before Maki could ask what he was about to do, Kaito suddenly shot up into the air.

"Kaito!" Maki shouted up to him, but Kaito ignored her. He got high enough so he could see over the woods. The sun was far in the west, slowly setting. The sky was starting to turn into a mixture of orange and blue. There were mountains in the east. Too far away to try to get too before nightfall. And just past the forest area, there looked to be a small town. It should take about three to four hours to get there. Maybe two if they keep up good enough speed without being distracted by something. Seems thing to be going their way for now. Better not jinx it though.

"There's a town just past the forest. If we go now, we should be able to find a cheep hotel or something before it gets dark." Kaito said as his feet touched the ground. Maki didn't say anything. She had her arms crossed with her left eyebrow arching up just slightly. "Okay, what have I done now?" Kaito knew that look all too well by now. Maki would sometimes give him that look whenever he did something or said something that she was unimpressed with. It was rare for him to be given that look, but he knew that he might be in trouble if he ignored it. And the last thing that he wanted to do was to upset his girlfriend.

"You really need to be more careful, Kaito. One of these days, someone's going to see you up there." Maki scolded, sounding almost like a parent. Kaito was tempted to chuckle at that. He knew that Maki must have picked up that tone when she was saddled with taking care of the children at the orphanage that she resided at before she was recruited as an assassin.

"Sorry, Maki Roll." Kaito sighed, gently rubbing the back of his neck. Maki didn't respond to that, biting her thumbnail a little instead. "You okay?" Another thing that Kaito picked up on was that whenever Maki seemed nervous, she'd either pull her hair a little, or nibble at her thumbnail. A nervous tock that she had suddenly picked up.

"Yeah. I'm fine." Maki quickly said, trying to cover up her nerves.

"No, you're not. I know you better than this." Kaito sighed, gently stepping up to Maki and rubbed her shoulders gently. Maki bit her lip a little, trying to keep it in. However, when she looked into Kaito's warm, lavender eyes, she caved in. She trusted him whenever she was open with him. He never made fun of her, or brush off her worries as nothing. He'd always listen and help to find a solution.

"I guess I'm just...fed up." Maki caved, trying to avoid going into too much detail. This has been on her mind for a long time now, but she didn't want to burden Kaito with it. Kaito gave her a gentle look that told her to let it out. "We've been moving around for a year now, on the run. And we're trying to find other Limitless that a dead man's claims to have escaped from him. That's like finding a needle in a haystack. They've hidden themselves too well." Kaito internally winced at this. When he was told that there were Limitless that escaped from White before, he was ecstatic in a way. He wanted to find them, to tell them that White was gone for good. After a whole year of searching, all that came up were dead ends. So far things were only proving to be more difficult.

"Remember what I told you? The impossible is possible! All you gotta do is make it so!" Kaito smiled brightly, trying his best to make this situation better than it looked. Maki maintained eye contact with him. "We'll find them. And when we do, they'll help spread the word that White and Junko are dead." The plan that he had in mind was find a few Limitless and help get into contact with more. That way the word about White being dead can get around faster. Then they can return to Kaito's home and plan where they want to go from there.

"And what then? We can't be on the road forever." Maki asked.

"We'll go back to my grandparents until we can figure out a new plan." Kaito continued to smile and gave Maki a quick peck on the cheek. He stepped away from Maki, returning to his motorcycle. Kaito couldn't deny that the thought of going home excited him a little. He hadn't seen his family for a ear but remained in contact with them by phone to make sure that they were safe and to reassure them that he and Maki were still alright.

"Your grandparents deserve to see you properly again." Maki muttered again as Kaito slipped on one of the helmets that sat on the road vehicle. She looked a little guilty about worrying Kaito. She tried to shake it off as she walked over to him. "Sorry, it's been on my mind for a while."

"Don't apologise, I get it. Besides we can't go back to my grandparents yet until we know for certain that it's safe." Kaito said, understanding what Maki was going through right now. There had been at least more than a thousand times that he wanted to turn around and go back home. But the risks were too high. Kaito took out Maki's helmet and gently passed it to her. "Let's get going before it gets dark." Maki nodded silently, slipping on her helmet. She slipped the backpack on her back before she sat down behind Kaito. When he felt her arms wrap securely on his waist, Kaito started up his motorcycle. He checked his mirror just in case a car was coming up from behind them. When he made sure that it was clear, he and Maki sped off towards the direction of the town.

Not quite realising that someone had spotted them.

And here's the first chapter. Honestly, I'm kinda worried that it won't be as good as Limitless, but I hope you all still enjoy it all the same.

Started Danganronpa 3

Some initial thoughts. I haven't reached the first murder yet; Just got past the fakeout where Monokuma died and then respawned the following day. Some thoughts. Spoilers after the jump.

So, I may have figured out the twist. I know there's usually a twist regarding the outside world. In Danganronpa 1, the twist is that the school is actually a safe space, and the outside world is on fire. There are no homes to go back to. In Danganronpa 2, the twist was that Jabberwock Island was a simulation all along.

Here, we have a school building under construction that seems overrun with greenery. There are giant mechs being used by the Monokubs. We're surrounded by huge walls and, not only that, but the whole thing is inside a massive birdcage.

What got me was Gonta talking about the lack of bugs. There are no bugs. Absolutely none. This is a bug-free environment. And that seems odd, right? There's no possible way that there wouldn't be bugs in an open-sky environment like this. That's only possible in a sealed-off space.

So I'm looking at the bars of the birdcage while thinking about that. And I'm thinking, why is there a birdcage? What is the point of the birdcage? It wouldn't just be there for no reason, right? It's not like the birdcage is keeping us in; That's what the walls are for. Why is it there?

And I'm looking at the sky that I can see through the bars. I start to think, what if I'm not seeing the sky beyond the bars? What if I'm seeing the sky between the bars? What if that's not a birdcage, but a dome? What if those are panels?

So here's what I'm thinking. I think we're in space. Maybe a satellite in Earth orbit or something. The overgrowing greenery is for oxygen production and the Exigal mechs are for construction and maintenance. There's no bugs because this a controlled atmosphere.

I don't know why we're in space. I don't know how we're in space. I don't know how we're going to leave space. But I think we're in space.

Regarding the characters, my first impressions are as follows:

Kaede Akamatsu, Ultimate Pianist - Ooh, female protagonist. This is the first core Danganronpa title to have one. I'm surprised that she has a "real" Talent, so to speak; She's neither the class's obligatory Lucky Student nor ???. This feels very different.

Kirumi Tojo, Ultimate Maid - Oh, this character can go a variety of ways. She seems like the most dangerous, but dangerous can be either good or bad. She could be a major asset or a formidable Blackened.

Himiko Yumeno, Ultimate Mage - This character is precious and I want to keep her forever. I love the running joke that her "real magic" is just stage magic but it's TOTES REAL I SWEAR. I hope they never decisively answer whether or not she can cast real spells.

Maki Harukawa, Ultimate Child Caregiver - This character is an asshole. She's probably never going to be a Blackened. The obvious asshole is never the culprit. For reference, see Byakuya Togami.

Tenko Chabashira, Ultimate Aikido Master - Her dynamic with Himiko cracks me up. Extremely distrustful towards men specifically but given the context, I can't exactly criticize. This is a killing game. You do what you need to do to keep yourself safe, ma'am! If anything, be more paranoid. You're leaving yourself open to 50% of the potential Blackened.

Tsumugi Shirogane, Ultimate Cosplayer - This character freaks me out. She seems nice and sweet and kind and all that, but she freaks me out. She's Ultimate Cosplayer. Her entire persona could be a cosplay. I still remember when Mukuro Ikusaba cosplayed as Junko Enoshima. No thank you. I have my eye on you, cosplayer.

Angie Yonaga, Ultimate Artist - I love her. I'm going to be really sad when she dies. I don't know why, but I just feel like she has tragic victim written all over her. She's a fairly simple character with a funny joke that she retells every time you talk to her. And it's funny every time, but it doesn't seem like it lends the character much longevity. I mean, the same could be said of Gundham Tanaka, but he didn't exactly make it to the endgame either.

Miu Iruma, Ultimate Inventor - I'm still figuring out what to think about her. The way she breaks down at the slightest criticism makes her mean girl attitude seem totally artificial. She's definitely obnoxious to talk to. Maybe she's going to be the Byakuya asshole we never get rid of?

Shuichi Saihara, Ultimate Detective - I'm sorry, Ultimate what!? Oh, you'd better buckle up, Shuichi, because those are some big shoes to fill you're stepping into. Kinda nervous because he's the starting round buddy-buddy to hang out and help you out. One of those characters tried to frame mine for murder and the other was Nagito Komaeda, so that's not a role I trust easily.

Kaito Momota, Ultimate Astronaut - When he first told me his Talent, I was like, "Haha, whaaaaat?" But now that I think I've figured out this whole space station thing, his skillset suddenly seems extraordinarily relevant. We need to protect this guy with our lives. Unless he's the Mastermind. Shit, that's a possibility.

Ryoma Hoshi - Hahahaha deep-ass fucking 40-year-old voice coming from a 5-year-old body. That's hilarious. This toddler's been in prison!? XD This character is a very funny joke. 10/10 Good job.

Rantaro Amami, Ultimate ??? - He has to be our Lucky Student, right? Every class has a Lucky Student. If it's not him, then we don't have one. That wouldn't make sense. Also, he seems to be the only character who is actually familiar with the Killing Game. I think he may have seen Junko's broadcast? I'm intrigued.

Gonta Gokuhara, Ultimate Entomologist - This character is precious and I want to keep him forever. He's a sweetheart and I adore him. I rank him 9 out of 10 on a trustworthiness scale. The only way I could conceive of him ever being a Blackened is by accident.

Kokichi Oma, Ultimate Supreme Leader - Also a potential candidate for the "It's never the obvious asshole" tag. He calls himself Ultimate Supreme Leader but I think he's full of shit. I bet you money this guy's the Ultimate Liar, because every word out of his mouth sounds like an exact inversion of what he really thinks.

Korekiyo Shinguji, Ultimate Anthropologist - He's just so weird. I don't know what to think of him. He rubs me the wrong way. Reminds me of Mikan.

K1-B0, Ultimate Robot - Oh hey, it's Genos from One-Punch Man! This character is precious and I want to keep him forever. He doesn't deserve to face the kind of robot racism that Kokichi subjects him to. I wonder if he's connected to Alter Ego in any way?

So that's where I'm sitting. I tried to complete the obstacle course of doom by save scumming, but wound up giving up on it anyway. Too intense for me. If you can beat it, all respect to ya, but I had to throw in the towel.

Looking forward to getting to the first murder. Monokuma promised there wouldn't be a class trial for the first one? That can't be right, can it? Junko Enoshima would be spinning in her grave to hear that we're skipping the trial. That's like 80% of the Killing Game's appeal!

I'm waiting for the boot to drop. It has to drop, right?

We wouldn't. Actually skip it. Right?

Shuichi Saihara ; Bi, with a female lean. I haven’t really thought too hard about it, but I could settle for Bi! Shuichi. ✨

Kokichi Ouma ; Comfortably identifies as gay and trans, however he’s probably fallen for a girl once and only once, ever since then it’s just been other men. 👀

Gonta Gokuhara ; Straight, drinks his respect women juice, because that’s exactly what a gentleman does. 💕

Rantaro Amami ; AroAce, I think it’s also heavily implied, but I really do rock with this interpretation too. 💕

Korekiyo Shinguuji ; AroSpec Pansexual, but I also support the headcannon that Kiyo was gr**med by his sister because I feel like it makes sense, that may be a hot take, but I’m not too sure. 🤔

Ryoma Hoshi ; Probably also straight, however, Ryoma doesn’t seem like the type to put a whole lot of thought or desire in relationships. 💅🏻

K1-B0 / Keebo ; Pan !! I definitely don’t see Keebo as the type to think gender is the most important thing in a relationship. He’s still learning about the romance aspect, he’s new at it. 💕

Kaito Momota ; I’m going with either bi or straight ally Kaito, I could see both being feasible, but either way, I think it took him awhile to get the the point of not being homophobic. ✨

Kaede Akamatsu ; Just like Sayaka, she is one hundred percent a basic straight girl with a very generic taste in men. 💃🏻

Tsumugi Shirogane ; Probably pan, she probably also doesn’t care much for serious relationships, but through cosplay, realized everyone makes her a bit ‘awooga’. 💕

Kirumi Tojo ; Also AroAce !! Kirumi doesn’t think much about relationships, and even when confronted with the topic, she recognizes that she doesn’t care much for personal romantic / sexual relationships. She’s just here to do her job, man. ✨

Tenko Chabashira ; That right there is a lesbian, though I’m sure she hasn’t connected the dots yet. Yes, wanting to kiss the homies Goodnight on the lips is a little bit 💅🏻, Tenko. 💃🏻

Angie Yonaga ; Angie is also a lesbian and I can’t be convinced otherwise. However, she’s one hundred percent not ready for anything serious. 💅🏻

Miu Iruma ; Bi, and no, I don’t want to elaborate, me and all my homies dislike Miu Iruma heavily, but Bi for you Miu enjoyers out there. ✨

Himiko Yumeno ; Straight, she probably questioned herself a little at one point, but she eventually figured out that she can find her friends pretty and not feel attracted to them, but she supports her queer friends. 💕

Maki Harukawa ; Also bi, but she hasn’t quite figured it out yet, just like Keebo and Gonta, she’d very new to the whole romance thing and she’s figuring it out day by day. 💕
