Noragami Chapter 108 Correction

So, I dun goofed on my interpretation of pages 14 and 15, and assumed Yato's "I can't" only applied to his statement about living in a world where Hiyori doesn't exist. But it actually applies to his entire statement afterwards, too. That even though he lost someone close to him, he can't destroy the world like his father would have, because it's the world she wanted to protect, and is now her grave.

I've updated the translation and added new links in the original post. Sorry about that.

1. DO NOT THE OWL

2. Baby Yashiro posing is so precious 😭 “captive princess” PFFFT

3. I think this is the most of normal Tsukasa we’ve ever seen!!! I actually hate Tsukasa sm but he’s so… tolerable… like this

4. Baby Yashiro calling for hanako kun and trying to pry open the bars 😖

5. Tsukasa saying amane doesn’t come WHEN he calls… not IF he called but WHEN. I really hate Tsukasa but it’s softening my heart to him a little bit

6. Tsukasa caught Baby Yashiro when she fell :(((

7. THIS PANEL. THE DOT DOT DOTS!!!! ITS BASICALLY LIKE IN ABSENCE OF HIM CALLING OUT!!!!! I LOVE IT SO MUCH 😭 edit: upon further inspection there are like little lines there PLS TELL ME HE WHISPERED AMANES NAME PLS!!!!!!!

Ok now onto my overall thoughts:

I don’t know how the hell the trial is gonna go but I’m SO EXCITED. This chapter was sooooooo good!!!!! I’m SO wondering what Akane meant when he was all “now is exactly the time” I’m so curious what the consequences are for this and how this gonna affect the story as a whole. Also GIVE US MITSUKOU!!!!! What are those fellas up to rn 😭

Anyway this chapter was amazing 10/10 I loved it

Also I wrote a whole ass dissertation/analysis of the parallels and differences between and the tbhk and dmld so if anyone is interested in that please please let me know 🤭🤭🤭🤭

Another short-ish chapter segment this month, meaning that either 108 will be divided into 3 parts, or 109 will be the end. I'm still banking on 108 being the final chapter due to the number's significance in Eastern religions.

I want chapt 108 to begin with dazai looking absolutely pathetic, and chuuya approaches. Dazai gives a rare look of relief because despite knowing chuuya should be fine, seeing him okay is a whole new thing. but now chuuya should be human, after that speech, so the plan had come together and they can escape together.

dazai: hi, chuuya-

chuuya: *kicks dazai down the hall* Dazai: O-O

Then dazai panics because oH NO IT DIDNT WORK CHUUYA IS GOING TO KILL ME and chuuya comes over and punches Dazai again and Dazai is in severe delirious pain but then Chuuya says “we’ll finish this later. C’mon, let’s get out of here” and they escape and then once they’re safe chuuya starts beating up Dazai again and he’s furious cause Dazai nearly killed him but they’re exhausted so chuuya turns to words. “You were going to let me die,” Chuuya glares. “You were going to let me drown, you had no way to know I’d live. You were going to let me d i e.”

And Dazai just smiles sadly and holds Chuuya’s face, who winces but doesn’t pull away, and he responds “I didn’t know if you would live or die. But I didn’t know what else to do. I had to hope you’d live, I don’t… I’m glad you’re still alive.”

Chuuya glares at him but relents, and lays down next to Dazai wherever safe place they are and goes to sleep then and there, exhausted from the events and not exactly forgiving Dazai for what he did; gambling his life on hope; but too tired to care. And they sleep, injured and upset, but… alive, because ultimately without the other they both would have died, due to vampirism and poison. As mad as they are, they’re alive, and with that, they fall asleep.
