nagito has chronic fatigue and chiaki stays up late playing games, so they end up taking naps together during the day. nagito likes cuddling since he's very touched-starved, and chiaki likes the quality time spent together. she's usually the first one awake and will just lay there playing with his hair until he wakes up.

chiaki never really learned how to cook since her parents were busy a lot when she was a kid, and mostly relies on eating snacks throughout the day; but sometimes forgets when she's indulged in her games. nagito learned how to cook for himself after his parents died, but he often doesn't have the energy to make a full meal just for himself. after noticing each others poor eating habits, they started cooking together; with nagito even teaching chiaki how to cook some of her favorite foods.

whenever chiaki's playing a luck-based part of her game like gambling, she'll ask nagito to help her — especially if it's for a character she wants.

they visit an arcade at least once a month, usually trying out different ones in the area. they're both really good at claw machine games (for very different reasons) and like winning each other plushies. sometimes they'll win really ugly ones for hajime just because they know he's not rude enough to say anything about them and will be forced to keep them.

nagito likes listening to people talk so sometimes he'll lay his head in chiaki's lap while she plays with his hair and explains one of her new hyperfixations.

nagito really likes chiaki's voice due to how soothing it is, and is always interested in what she has to say. whenever chiaki gets a new hyperfixation, nagito will lay his head on her lap while she plays with his hair and listen to her rant about it.

they have game nights. sometimes they'll solve a new puzzle with a vocaloid character on it, and other times they'll invite over the others to play clue or monopoly. nagito even taught her how to solve a rubix cube.

chiaki really likes cutesy clothing, and will buy them matching pajamas with sanrio characters on them. nagito usually gets cinnamoroll and chiaki gets melody.

they play cheesy dating sims together. chiaki will be leaning against nagito's chest, going on and on about how bad the graphics are while nagito giggles at the cringey dialogue.

after noticing nagito's digs his nails into his arms when he's upset, she starts having them spend a night once a week where she'll paint his nails and make sure they're clipped so he can't hurt himself. he also does her nails (very badly).

they start jokingly referring to each other as their boyfriend & girlfriend so often that people think they're serious. it started when nagito was spotted in the background of some of chiaki's gaming streams, and they decided it was a funny enough idea to entertain.

when chiaki starts cosplaying, nagito gets interested in it and wants to do it with her. it eventually ends with chiaki forcing him to either watch an anime or play a game with her until he gets a complete understanding of the character he's going as. they usually wear couple costumes, with team rocket being their favorite.

when nagito's being playful or picking on chiaki, his main move is to pinch at her cheek. it doesn't matter if chiaki is bothering him or just simply existing, nagito will reach out and pinch her face. usually, he'll start out gentle, but he'll inevitably end up squeezing until chiaki gets fed up and swats him away or tells him to cut it out. nagito just giggles at her and backs off.

chiaki has a bit of social anxiety when it comes to loud noises and crowds, and will tug on nagito's leave or hold his hand in places like busy malls. it also helps keep them from getting separated in overpopulated areas.

whenever chiaki falls asleep on the couch watching a movie or at her gaming chair, nagito will carry her to sleep. she usually wakes up a bit and makes him lay with her so she can make sure he gets some rest too, plus she likes cuddling with him.

Cutie Reviews: YumeTwins June 19

It’s been a while since I’ve last done multiple reviews in one day, but I’m feeling pretty good tonight and since it’s too early for me to go to bed, I thought I would knock out my first of our June boxes!

Contest & Photo Prize

This month, the grand prize winner would receive this adorable Tuxedo Sam plushie, while the runner-ups received these cute Sanrio clear cases; perfect for things like holding your glasses, money, and various other small items.

Meanwhile, the Yume Prize continues the Sanrio trend, with a bunch of kawaii Sumikko Gurashi and Pompompurrin goods; all serving some practical functions for both the day and evening~

Moving Bunny Ears Hat

I think these suddenly gained popularity, which is why they are in this box this month :3 It’s a fluffy-soft cap that resembles a bunny with floppy ears and long paws, which when squeezed do this:

These were available in either white or pink, and I also know there is a panda version too, but it wasn’t in the box.

It’s very cute, and I love how soft and fluffy it is x3 I can wear it and cuddle it. The ear gimmick is a lot of fun, and on one hand the arms aren’t very practical so they might get in the way at times, but it’s not as bad as some other hats I’ve seen and it does a nice good keeping your head cozy without having much weight.

If anything I wish it had a little bit more detail though, because I keep thinking “I know its a bunny, but it looks like a sheep.“ and the details it does have are a teensy-bit messy on mine. It’s mainly little snips and seams of string that aren’t cut neatly or are sticking out.

Sparkly Kawaii Bowl

Our next item is an adorable, colorful translucent bowl that features several unique drawings of the character representing it. The others include colors like pink, clear/white, red, blue, and feature Rilakkuma, Sumikko Gurashi, Doraemon, and My Melody. Each bowl has a diamond or gem-like appearance, and as you can see I got the Hello Kitty one x3 it’s very pale pink and white, pastel blue, lavender, hot pink, and pastel yellow on the images.

What’s nice is that if you don’t want to use it for food (cold foods like snacks or sweets, because I don’t think this type of material could stand really hot things), you could use it as an item holder, for things like jewelry, makeup, knick-knacks, etc.

There isn’t really much to say about a bowl though, so I’m kind of rating it for the fact it’s really cute and I love hello kitty. But I would have been happy with any of them. I also think it goes well with the Party Animal theme.

Sumikko Gurashi Coaster

I never really use coasters around here (I have some, but I never remember to grab them), but I couldn’t resist getting excited when I saw these, we all know how much I love Shirokuma~

Besides him, there was also Neko, Penguin, and Tonkatsu available, each with their little friend or personal item. The coasters are basic cork.

The mage and detailing is pretty nice, and for a coaster it seems a little flimsy. If I bend it certain ways the paint cracks so I’m not sure how to say this will hold up durability wise... but in going with the theme, I think it’s a useful and cute item.

Sakura Kitchen Set

Our next items are a 2-set (although I’m not sure if they actually are when sold, I’m thinking not?) featuring a pretty pink and white Sakura flower theme. These may not say party animal, but the cleanup is pretty important afterwards wouldn’t you say?

The little box is perfect for folding leftover food or packing some food with you on a trip, or just for a snack you might not finish- while the sponges... you know, help clean off things like dishes, or you can use them to clean the walls, floors, sink, whatever.

I feel like with these items there genuinely isn’t much I can say. Like I can see why these were included and I like the fun twist on the party animal theme, but if I really had to say anything, it’d be that I feel like the box should be bigger because I really don’t think it would be a good leftover bin; unless it was just a small snack or some dessert. I don’t know if it can be heated up, but I’m pretty sure it could hold hot items.

With spring passing when this box was released I also kind of like how this fits as a farewell spring item. I love sakura flower x3 they’re so pretty.

Sanrio Letter Set

Letters and notes are pretty important when you plan to host a party, and with that this month we could receive 7 different Sanrio-themed sets. Each comes with 12 stationary, 6 envelopes, and 1 sheet of stickers.

I wouldn’t say Pocaccho is my favorite Sanrio character; but next to Hello Kitty he’s the one I grew up with. So I always had a fondness for him.

I can’t say I have much use for stationery sets like this personally, but it’s a practical item and I still appreciate it. One day it could come in handy- like if I throw a party :D or whenever I send presents to friends I could use it. I always like to include a note, so this type of set is perfect in those situations.

One thing I did think was funny though is that the entire set is blue and white striped, as you can see. But when I turned over the set, I looked at the paper and its entirely pink and white! Kinda random, but it does include the various items from the front and still sticks with the theme.

Glitter Character Keychain

Our final item is this adorable blind box featuring 4 sets of 4 character shaker keychains, each translucent with color detail and with unique glitter!

I got the sanrio set, so I could get Hello Kitty, Little Twin Star, Cinnamoroll, or My Melody. The other sets included Crayon Shinchan, Doraemon, and Sumikko Gurashi. Honestly I would have been happy with any of them, except for Shinchan because I don’t like that series.

These are worth 5 Sanrio points.

Well in terms of looks, I guess I could see the party animal theme in this. They’re very colorful and a lot of fun to shake and watch the glitter role around x3

♡ Cutie Ranking ♡

Content - 4.5 out of 5. Quality wise everything seems to be pretty decent and well-detailed. I like the items, but I know right away I might not use a few of them. At least not now. I like how they were practical and we had a nice variety.

Theme: 5 out of 5. This one left me a little complex again because almost all of the items do include animals. They all feature lots of colorful details, and mostly all of them could be used in relation to a party, before or after .I especially liked the clever way they included cleaning items for the after party.

Total Rank: 10 out of 10. I don’t have very much to say about it but, but I really liked this box. I liked the items from our last one but with the price we pay, and giving it more thought after I posted it I began wondering if it was worth it. We got a bunch of small items and I didn’t really think so, but this one is more worth it. The items are practical and come in a variety of sizes, mainly medium-big, and for just an any day or everyday scenario, these will be useful.

1. Glitter Character Keychain - I fell in love at first glance; I love clear things with pops of color, and I’m obsessed with glittery things. It was meant to be. I really wish we got more blind boxes like we used to~

2. Sparkly Kawaii Bowl - It’s gorgeous! I know I’ll use this item too, because it is a kitchen item and everyone eats. It would definitely catch attention from friends ;3

3. Bunny Ears Hat - It’s really cute and I love how soft it is... but I’m one of those people who feel stupid and is convinced they look stupid wearing hats. So I feel a little silly wearing it >3<

4. Sakura Kitchen Set - I like the items and it’s nice how we get 2 for the price of 1. Again, not sure I’ll use them much, but I like how they look at the very least...

5. Sanrio Letter Set - It’s very cute, I love the various Pochacco images, some of which I saw before and some I didn’t. I like the striped background especially x3 I love stripes.

6. Sumikko Gurashi Coaster - it’s very cute, but it’s pretty basic and I feel like this would be the item I use least; I also think it might be the most frail. Again I’m worried about its durability and how well the image will last over time.

hyunsik’s handsome face was on her computer screen as she poked her puffed up cheeks at the camera. even if he wasn’t two anymore, he still heartily giggled at his mother’s attempts to be funny. a sweet kid, she thought to herself, and a forgiving one at that considering as to how much she lacked as a mother to him. “hyunsik-ah, there’s a new talent show in hongdae that umma is thinking of doing. what should umma do?”

she had honestly been at a lost when the information had come out. everything that she had in mind was so typical and safe. she didn’t really know if she had any unique talents now that she thought about it. had she kept up her taekwondo skills as a kid, she would have done a dance integrating the taekwondo moves, but she had quit when she had gotten her blue belt and that was many years ago to begin with. she had never thought it could become a versatile skill that would come in handy for a talent show.

however, as the conversation continued on, she was starting to lose hope in coming up with anything. that was until hyunsik mentioned something about the cute bento box that she had made for him when he was in the hospital. “hm ....” she mused aloud. would it be weird to try to cook and sing at the same time? she didn’t know if that could be classified as a talent, but in some ways, she could see it as something that could be variety show worthy in the future. scouts could potentially look for things like that, right?

“you know, maybe you’ve got an idea there,” she exclaimed, jotting down notes as she thought about what things she could make. there was a two-minute time limit, which meant that whatever she made would have to be fairly simple. plus, with the limited time, all of the food would most definitely need to be pre-prepared so that it would just be a matter of assembly. anyway, the element of cooking in front of an audience would lead to a higher probability of error, and that was something she couldn’t afford.

over the course of the next ten days, suji had practiced the routine to the point where she honestly didn’t want to do it anymore. when she went to bed, she felt like the song that she had chosen seemed to just continue circling in her mind. in some ways, it was a nightmare, and in others, she was glad it had become such a part of her that she hoped it would show when she was onstage.

nonetheless, it didn’t make her any less nervous to be waiting to get onstage. she knew that once she was there, she would be fine, but just waiting made her so uncomfortable. there were so many people whirling about that she couldn’t even stay focused. all she could do was just check through her bags of things to make sure that all of the supplies that she’d need for her performance was there.

“bae suji, you’re up,” suji heard a voice exclaim as she quickly nodded, grabbing the bag of pre-prepared food that she had put together and following the staff member. she was handed a headset that would be her mic so that she could use her hands freely for the other half of her gig. she also handed off the track that she had mixed to fit the time limit.

as she got onto the stage, she quickly laid out the boxes of items that she had prepared. “hello! i’m bae suji, and i’m here today to prepare a bento box for you that you can enjoy while you watch korea’s hottest drama, goblin, tonight.” she had ensured that she had washed her hands before coming onstage as wearing gloves might ruin the swiftness in which she could complete the task. she doubted that anyone would actually eat the bento, but she might as well try go be as thorough as possible.

she looked over at the staff member and nodded her head. as she heard the music go off, she began to sing along just as she had practiced, not letting the cooking distract her from the way her voice projected. while she knew that it might not be as great as if she were just singing, she wanted to be remembered for something else, too.

as she sang, she began to take the rice that she had packaged, molding it into the shape of the respective parts of cinnamoroll. it was only after she was content with the shape that she began to lay down the colored sheets that she had bought to line the bottom of the box. soon after, she carefully settled the lumps of rice on top, assembling each part that she had finished earlier.

it was funny how she had started to hate her whole performance as she was putting it together, but as she was singing now, she came to realize just how beautiful the song was, which was quite fitting of its title. what the audience might now know was that she had chosen to start the song midway through because she especially liked the colors that came with how the song progressed. it wasn’t flat, in terms of its progression, and it really allowed her voice to shine.

her fingers very carefully began to lay down each piece of the seaweed that she had cut out beforehand. one wrong move and it could potentially rip, which would really throw suji off, but that had only happened in the first few run-throughs that she had done. by the fifth or sixth time, she knew at just what angle her fingers would have to turn to cause an unfortunate rip. practice was a beautiful thing, and she could really understand how that translated into the training lifestyle too.

she opened up another box and settled a small salad to add some greens into the background of her bento. she backed away for a moment, taking a look to see how it was, the other half of her mind still having to focus on the words of the song. she smiled as she was pleased with the result, carefully taking hold of the seaweed ( settled on cheese ) bow that she had made. she then picked up the small dots of cheese with her chopsticks, making sure they looked natural on the bow.

the most fun of all, however, was the flowers that would be coming up. in an effort to not get kicked out of the competition by bringing in a knife, she had sliced up the ham and egg in a way that she would only need to roll it up to turn it into a flower. her hands delicately rolled the items together, lifting it up to the audience when it had “turned” into a flower.

she settled the flowers into the box, which was one step away from the final one. she felt like she had succeeded as she picked up the final pieces of ham ( two tiny ovals that would represent cinnamoroll’s cheeks ) and laid them down. in her mind, she exhaled a breath of relief as she came to the final notes of the song as well. while she had no idea what the audience or the judges would think of what she had come to do, she had fun, which was the most important thing, right?

“thank you for your time. i hope you will enjoy this,” she gestured towards the box bowing ninety degrees for a few seconds before standing up straight. she had a good feeling about this, but she had also learned not to get her hopes up. the last time she had thought she had done well, it had all come crumbling around her.

maybe this time was different.

maybe it was finally her time.

Thoughts on S*nrio D*nshi, which no one asked for

The S*nrio D*nshi campaign has been on my radar since it was announced, (I’m interested in original marketing ideas) so I was looking forward to the anime. • It’s a lot angstier than I expected! So far, I’ve found it pretty moving, so overall, I quite like it. I’m glad that they’re moving on to explore other characters, because I think we’ve spent enough time on Kouta for now. • I couldn’t tell if the Cinnamoroll fan’s body is anatomically correct, but I’ve never seen muscles drawn that way before? :V • The Blue’s Clues bits where they address the viewer before the ad break are fucking weird.

• Kouta seemed a bit more bratty this week? Last week I sympathised with him a lot more because he was shown to be kind (e.g he helped the lost little girl) but he seemed to lash out at people like his mum a lot this time. I guess he is a teenager... • I like how they stylised Gift Gate photos and used them as background art lol, I wonder how much the footfall in the shops will increase... I don’t think I’ve ever been in a GG branch that wasn’t completely packed, so maybe they’ll need to start a queuing system? • I may have misinterpreted the opening scene, but I was annoyed that they made it look like two of the characters lived together, only to reveal they had just edited that way and they lived in separate apartment blocks. It didn’t really add anything, it was just like ‘What, you thought that two guys might be living a nice domestic life together?? Of course not!’ I forgot that a lot of anime still have this sort of ‘fanservice’ which does a disservice to teenagers in the audience who might be looking for validation. The anime spends a lot of time normalising liking what you like, so I find the constant ship teasing (which I associate with the fetishising aspects of BL) jarring. TL;DR I’m pleased to see an anime that challenges gender stereotypes, but I find the amount of ship teasing somewhat patronising. Like it’s addressing one social issue, but perpetuating another (I’m not sure if ‘queerbaiting’ is the right word but hopefully I’m making sense). I didn’t like the second episode as much as the first, but maybe next week’s will be more sincere? I wish they had the balls to make a pairing canon...
