I hate drawing eyewssssss

#hating my art style again tonightttt #every time I try to draw the lower lid it looks like an eyebag. Even if I draw it thinner it feels so off to me #and the eye shape bothers me. either it’s too big and it takes up too much space or it’s too small and it feels off #EVERYTHINGG feels off #I hate drawing the dip where the Chin and eyebrow are on 3/4 shots. I hate Mapping out the skull and head shape #I jst need to complain. I’ll look at more references tmrw now that the self loathing and self consciousness is mostly out of the way #maybe it’s my body telling me I’m tired and it can’t draw properly. or I don’t have the energy to like the way I draw rn #I hate eyes I hate hate hate hate drawing the pupil and deciding how to make it look normal cause all I do it draw a circle and call it a #day. TF fan moment of the week:

I copied two of my TF meta posts to a Google doc and sent them to my academic advisor/tutor to fulfill a writing requirement. He knows nothing about Transformers, so I was afraid he wouldn’t receive them well. I knew they were good, personally. I was just worried he wouldn’t recognize that.

However, to my delight, he used the word “scientific” to describe one of the pieces and went on to compliment my self awareness as a writer during our discussion today.

He also pointed out grammar and syntax stuff I’d messed up on and habits that would need to be corrected to make my future writing meet typical academic standards, but all of that hardly matters. It’s the middle of the night, and I’m over here obsessing over the compliments when I should be writing or sleeping. lol

If only I could write about my favorite silly little robots for every assignment…

v5 finale happens. BUT. ren and nora decide to stay behind to help rebuild haven (all it would take is for there to be like. ONE other teacher that was cool for this to be set up) bc lets be honest, their arcs were complete. ren and nora got to confront their past and come out the other side stronger AND together. it lets us leave haven with this sort of promise that we'll see them again and that haven isnt totally abandoned, and its bittersweet but important

and i know youre saying "oh but that means its just rwby and jaune" INCORRECT we replace them with sun and ilia

consider it! sun and ilia being there means that we get More Sun, which is great, and it means that theres more faunus in the main group, which is needed, AND theres characters that blake has dynamics and relationships with other that yang which allows both of them to feel a little more fleshed out! besides ilia and emerald endgame my beloved.

ilia and weiss getting to sort of have those hard talks and introductions and conflicts and resolutions all throughout atlas that we were robbed of! and ilia taking that place of nora, boldly standing up to ironwood in defense of mantle because of COURSE she would!
