Hi! I liked the first set of recipes I got from you so much, I'm back for seconds! Could I get some recipes for a mermaidkin? I'd like some meaty or fishy recipes, preferably with beef, pork, and salmon that are sort of piratey or ocean-feeling! I can't really handle spice and I'm allergic to peanuts.
Thank you so much in advance!
-Caspian
Heya!
Yes of course! I am glad you liked them so much! I did a mix of tropical recipes for you that have that pirate/ocean feeling you were asking for. I avoided peanuts, though spice in some regard is hard to avoid, some of these have spiced elements or salsa, if you find that these are too spicy for you, just omit it from the recipe they should be relatively easy to avoid!
Tropical Grilled Salmon
Spice-Rubbed Salmon with Tropical Rice
Tropical Pork Chops
Tropical Teriyaki Pork Marinade (marinade to cook pork however you like)
Ginger Soy Glazed Pork Chops with Tropical Fruit Relish (obvious reasons, omit jalapeno)
Tropical Beef Chunks
Tropical Steak Fajitas
Sweet Tropical Teriyaki Beef Kabobs
Pan-Seared Black Cod with Tropical Fruit Salsa
Grilled Fish Tacos with Tropical Salsa
There ya go! I hope you enjoy and if not let me know and hopefully I can refill the request again! :) Cheers and happy eating~ <3

I apologize if anything isn’t too your liking and tell me if something with what you requested off made it in anyway. The exclude from search doesn’t always work right. ~Shadow

Happy Memorial Day with 7 Ways to Not Gain Weight this weekend!
Tumblr media
Most people are gearing up for a fun-filled day of food, family, friends, and fireworks!  I love get togethers with friends and family(socail distancing style of course!), but it’s not always easy to be healthy.  Here are some proven tips to be healthy all while having fun and enjoying yourself!
1.              Eat healthy foods first. Watery vegetables slow digestion down with an excellent source of fiber and also low calories. Many vegetables, like broccoli, cauliflower, eggplant and spinach have a high water content of more than 90 percent!
Add mixed vegetables to any salad dish for more nutrition, and have a veggie tray as an appetizer.
Make your salads without the dressing and have them on the side. You are less likely to use as much and you may realize you may not even need them! Eating a salad beforehand to decrease hunger and avoid overindulging
But, Just because it is a salad does not mean it’s healthy! Potato and pasta salads are high in saturated fats. Instead, fill your plate with fresh greens and veggies.
Fun Fact: Choose a smaller plate!  You will eat less with not even noticing!
2.  Eat protein with your vegetables, and you will also fill up faster.
Make chicken, steak or shrimp kabobs. Turkey burgers are an excellent substitute for burgers, or make lean 1/4 lb burgers instead of 1/2 lb.  Also, a great alternative to burgers is salmon or tuna.  Not only is fish leaner and healthier, but they contain heart-healthy omega-3 fatty acids and are low in calories.
3. Skip the chips, crackers and bread!
Refined carbohydrates are the worst things you can eat because they offer little satisfaction, loads of calories and dangerous insulin spikes. Do yourself a favor and fill up with vegetables and protein and save your calories so you can have a dessert.
4. Play Games, Burn Calories
Barbeques don’t have to revolve around food, and we think it’s more fun when eating’s not the only activity for the day. Work up an appetite with old fashioned backyard games, throw the frisbeee around or even a group bike ride, or swim. With younger kids, you can also play games like Capture the Flag or Simon Says. Create circuits with your children in your games that include these patterns: Crawl, Climb, Run, Jump/Skip, Throw/Kick and Include Games of Tag: 1-Leg - Everyone hops around on one leg, Monkey/Frog - Everyone jumps around like a monkey or frog -- both the person who is 'it' as well as those not 'it' Getting more physical activity that day to help maintain better blood sugar control and you’ll burn calories all day long for you and your children!
5. Grilling Tip: Marinate Your Meat. Marinating meat helps to reduce carcinogens. Kansas State University researchers marinated steaks in three different mixtures of oil, vinegar, and herbs and spices. After grilling, carcinogens in the marinated steaks were cut by 57 to 88 percent. Dozens of studies confirm the effect. The marinade may create a protective barrier between the meat's proteins and the heat of the grill, and the antioxidants in the marinade may combat the carcinogens head-on. from Cooking Light
Choose lemon, olive oil, thyme and spices for your grilling marinades instead of sweet and sour, barbecue or teriyaki. Just 3 tablespoons of bottle marinades can have as many carbohydrates as a slice of bread and as much sugar as a candy bar!
6. Keep dessert small Or Choose fresh fruit! Fresh fruit is a great substitute for baked sweet treats.  Serving sizes can be deceiving; for example, grapes and cherries should be eaten in moderation — just 10 grapes and 12 cherries equal 1 serving. *The difference between a large slice of cake and a smaller slice of cake can literally be hundreds of calories. You don’t have to pass on dessert completely, but keep your portion sizes in check for this course.
7.  Think before you drink There is a place for alcohol in a healthy lifestyle, but making smart choices can be the difference between losing or gaining weight.  Just remember beer, wine, specialty drinks and cocktails are loaded with calories and lack nutrients. Moderation is key!
Holidays are for celebrating and are meant to be enjoyed, but you don’t have to sacrifice your health or beach body every time you attend a BBQ.  Do a few of these 7 healthy BBQ tips will save you hundreds of calories that you won’t even miss, and keep your health and fitness goals on track. Happy Memorial Day Weekend!!!

Primal Grilling Guide (+ 7 Recipes) http://bit.ly/2XzulrL
We’d argue that grilling is one of the best parts of summer. Over the years, Mark has served up tips for making the most of your grill cooking, including these Primal grilling tips and techniques as well as a guide for how to cook a whole fish on the grill. For those cooking away from home, we’ve even got ideas for some car camping favorites. Today we’re rounding up more than just grilling resources but seven recipes you can enjoy this month. From beef to seafood to vegetables, we hope these ideas inspire some great dinners.
Sticky Ribs With Teriyaki
The story behind these sticky, fall-off-the-bone ribs? Two delectable sauces to flavor pork spare ribs. We start with a sweet, salty, umami (from fermented fish sauce) marinade with the nuanced spice from chili sauce and the warm bite of fresh ginger, and let that seep into the ribs for a few hours. Then, we baste the slabs with Primal Kitchen No Soy Teriyaki before and during grilling to ensure a caramelized crust on the exterior of the meat.
Sausage and Veggie Skewers
Summer cooking means skewers, and this recipe offers a unique kick beyond the typical beef or chicken kabob.
Grilled Shrimp Kabobs
For some lighter fare, we love these Primal- and keto-friendly kabobs with summer veggies. Primal Kitchen® Lemon Turmeric Dressing and Marinade makes this dish incredibly easy and flavorful—without much time and effort on your part. Just a few minutes at the kitchen, another few at the grill, and this delicious, low-carb dinner is served. It’s great for a quick family meal or an impromptu get-together.
Grilled Romaine Caesar Salad
Grilled Romaine is an unexpected summer classic. Paired with shaved Parmesan and gluten-free croutons (totally optional), it’s a perfect (and fast) way to put a show-stopping salad on the table.
Mark’s Grilled Steak
It doesn’t get much better than a juicy New York strip hot off the grill. Throw in a generous side of broccolini and some steak sauce (I happen to know a good one), and that’s dinner for me. Grilling a steak isn’t hard work, but a few things can make a big difference for the end result.
Primal Burger With Secret Sauce
It’s an all-American, grass-fed burger (and fries for those who want to splurge) with a triple classic condiment special sauce. You can’t go wrong with this summer favorite.
Turkey Burger Lettuce Wraps
For those who prefer a more creative spin on the traditional burger experience, this turkey burger offers a tropical taste. Creamy avocado and optional pineapple make for a sweeter summer meal.
Enjoy your summer weekend, everyone! Have a grilling recipe you’d like to see Primalized (or keto-fied)? Let us know on the comment board.
