Yay I'm so happy you like my drawing! I do have a request if you don't mind writing it. I'd like a cute story about Eddie and a shy girl who works at an electronic shop. I imagine Eddie has to go to the shop sometime when he needs something for his electric guitar.

you notice a certain curly-haired nerd frequently visiting your workplace. finally, you decide to acknowledge his stalking. 1.9k

WORKING at Hawkins’ electronic store was not on your bucket list. Sure, you were fascinated by the up-and-coming technology that was slowly progressing as the years went on. But that didn’t stop your distaste for having to actually go in for your shifts.

Although the summer job had slowly spread into the rest of the year and your mind was ready to explode, you’d be lying if you said working there was all bad.

There was at least one thing you enjoyed. A certain curly-haired ‘freak’ who had a habit of stopping by multiple times a week.

You’d noticed him around three months ago. He had pranced in, mop of curls bouncing with every step he took. He was pretty to look at, although extremely eccentric, and you gathered that’s most likely the reason why your eyes had drifted to him in the first place.

But what held your gaze was how it was extremely obvious that he was coming there to see you.

You had only joined Hawkins High for your senior year, trying your best to avoid as many people as possible. You weren’t exactly the most friendly — Curse your awkwardness in social situations — But despite your quiet demeanour and sarcastic humour as a defence mechanism for your nerves, you had caught his eye years ago.

He’d thought he’d lost his chance to speak to you when you had graduated, but seeing you working here had felt like some sort of sign. He didn’t believe in God, but somebody had taken pity on him, and he would forever be doing penance for that.

The small, rusted bell above the door chimes as the hinges squeak, announcing a customer has arrived. You don’t bother looking up from your magazine, knowing already who’d be stupid enough to come in at 8:02am.

You can feel a set of eyes on you as he wanders across the various aisles of cables and antennas, watching your chest press against the wooden counter. The only sound that fills the store is his heavy footsteps and the occasional turn of your page.

He feels like a pervert. The shame creeps up on him continuously when he finds himself staring, observing every small move you make. It’s the only thing that gratifies him, even though it’s just a reminder that he can’t find the courage to actually have a conversation longer than three sentences.

You sigh upon hearing him halt, never tearing your eyes away from the bold images in front of you. If he isn’t going to make a move, then maybe you can find some confidence from somewhere. “Can I help you, Eddie?”

Crash.

“Uh…” he lets out slowly, rubbing the back of his neck. He takes a quick peek at the mess of display tapes he’s knocked over, cursing internally at his body’s reaction to hearing you speak his name. “Clean up on aisle five?”

You try not to smile, tilting your head down further to hide your amusement. “Better put those hands to good use then.”

Eddie tries to ignore the sexual meaning he takes away from your words, burning red as he drops to his knees dramatically to quickly to stack the shelf again. He tries to organise them, but the current state of his bedroom proves that he’s already no good at that. You can hear him curse from your position behind the desk, despite him uttering it under his breath.

“Just leave it,” you announce quickly, worried you’d put far too much pressure on him. You’d only meant it as a joke, not expecting the boy to actually fold in half and bend to your commands. It’s a little too much power to hold, something you’d never experienced before. “I get paid to do that, so…”

“Right,” he lets out, trying to smoothly saunter up to the counter. He ends up whacking his knee into another cabinet on the way there, earning an actual physical laugh from you this time. He feels proud, despite knowing deep down that you’re really just laughing at his pain. If a fool is his part to play, then he’ll play it with an award-winning performance. “Anyways, uh, I’m here to…” He scans the shop, desperately looking for an excuse. “Guitar strings. Want ‘em. Need ‘em, actually. Pesky thing...”

He trails off with an awkward laugh, watching your eyebrows raise in amusement. You let him ramble on about the importance of his music and how sacred it is, unable to find your voice after initially greeting him. It’s something you’ve always struggled with. The sole reason you had graduated with decent grades but not a single person to celebrate that achievement with. You wanted interaction, but with the students of Hawkins High already making assumptions about your quietness, it was hard to do so.

Eddie notices your silence after a minute or two, cheeks reddening from his mouth’s persistence. He tilts his head, a grin widening on his face when you match his smile. “Yeah… and you definitely don’t get paid enough to deal with idiots like me.”

“You’re not an idiot,” you state almost immediately, words coming out a little raspy. You weren’t even sure what you wanted to say in response to so much attention from one person, but luckily your brain makes that decision for you for once. “Kind of chatty, but that's okay.”

“Usually my voice can lull a thousand people. I’m like a siren, truly.” He gets another laugh from you, one that’s snorted and entirely unattractive. To him? It’s the most beautifully raw sound he’s ever heard. He decides then and there that he’s already in love with it. “Guitar strings? Yes?”

You falter, suddenly coming back down to reality from the cloud he’d ascended you to. Of course, the essential thing he’d ‘come in’ for. Even though you know it’s just a rouse, you can’t help but feel bad when you break the news to him.

“You… know this is an electronics store, right? We don’t sell anything, like, remotely close to guitars.” You watch his smile evidently drop, although he manages to somehow keep the corners of his lips upturned. There’s a flash of rejection that passes over his eyes, a look that has your heart squeezed impossibly tight. Eddie is the only person who’s remotely considered approaching you, other than the band of jocks that occasionally took a dig at your shy nature. In light, he was the only person who’d been kind. You didn’t want to let that go.

You can see the tops of his thighs twitch, the only part of his legs visible from where you’re standing. It’s enough to alert you that he’s going to leave, and although this is your first time conversing something other than ‘Enjoy your purchase’ or ‘Have a nice day’, you found yourself oddly connected to him.

So much so, that you offer the only thing that comes to your mind.

“W-We do sell amps though!”

Eddie Munson finds himself the new owner of a glossed amplifier a few moments later, covering the empty hole in his wallet where his cash should be with a forced smile. He’ll have to explain the lack of groceries to his uncle later. Something a lot better than wanting to impress a person he finds attractive.

“Aaaand here’s your receipt. You can return it within ten days if there’s any issues. Company policy, and all that fine print stuff…” You don’t finish the rest of your trained response, deciding he’s probably bought enough things in here over the last few months to know what you’re going to say. He simply nods, patting the large speaker awkwardly on the desk.

“Forgot how big these things are,” he begins, smoothing his palm over the dials and buttons as you draw your bottom lip between your teeth to suppress another laugh. He lets out a low whistle, and you ignore how your neck begins to flush with heat at the sound. “Like, wayyyy too big. Huge. Enormous, even-”

“You already have an amp, don’t you?” You finally put him out of his misery, watching his nose scrunch in embarrassment before he pats the speaker again, this time a little more forcefully.

“...Yeah.”

You open the till. “Okay, give it back. I’ll refund you-”

“W-What? No- No no no, I can take it. I don’t wanna get you in trouble, or anything- I’m a bad influence but not this bad.” He rushes out, hands waving in front of his face in frantic motions. You reach forward bravely, taking a hold of them to still his movements.

His breath hitches.

You strain your neck to look behind him, gazing over the empty parking spots out front on the street. They’ve been barren since last night. “I don’t see your van outside. There’s no way I’m going to actually let you carry that.” You chuckle along with your words, watching Eddie blink rapidly at you.

“You know my van?” He asks out of disbelief, but there’s a hint of a teasing tone to his words. He doesn’t mean to. However, there’s a natural charm and cockiness to him that never seems to cease. You kind of like it.

The sound of the register opening distracts him from his shocked stare, coins jingling within the metal. You count out the bills he’d handed over, sliding them across the counter with another timid grin.

“Being off the radar means I do a lot of observing,” Eddie gingerly reaches up to swipe the money, short-circuiting when his fingers envelop yours, unmoved from where you had originally laid them down. “Like what car you drive, and the new patch on your jacket, and the fact that you’ve been in here five times this week already.”

This time, Eddie blushes. A full-on rosy tint that spreads across his cheeks like the first brush stroke to an empty canvas. It paints him beautifully, mentally applauding yourself for finding comfortability in talking to him. It’s a personal success you can celebrate later.

“I… didn’t realise you could see me.” He admits honestly, rubbing at the back of his neck as he takes a quick glance around the store. His body physically turns to spy his multitude of hiding spaces, ones that he’s thought were somewhat decent. He hides his dismay well.

“You’re kind of hard not to look at,” Eddie nearly contracts whiplash at your response, eyes wide and mouth agape at your somewhat confession. Him? Lanky, scrawny, non-showered, freaky nerd Eddie Munson? You giggle at his obvious starstruck expression, deciding to take another leap of faith. You lean forward over the counter with the cash in hand, fingertips tracing the waist of his jeans as you stuff the bills into his front pocket. “See you same time tomorrow for those guitar strings?”

Eddie nods, body numb and on auto-pilot as he backs out of the store. His parted lips soon pull together to produce a grin when he reaches the door, green notes protruding from his pocket like some sort of ‘mark’ you’d left on him. He tries not to let his mind wander too far at that idea, for his own sanity.

“It’s a date.” He mutters eagerly, despite knowing that a ten minute conversation at your workplace is the worst romantic idea he’s ever come up with.

Still, you eat up every ounce of his dorky charm with a wide grin and a flutter in your stomach. “Yeah... It's a date, stalker in aisle five.”

The Ink Demonth 2023 - Day 6. Machine

Day 6. Machine Crossover: Scooby-Doo, Where Are You? (and later series) "Scooby-Dooby-Doo, where are you? We got some work to do now. Scooby-Dooby-Doo, where are you? We need some help from you now." I cannot wait for the scene when they take Sammy's mask off :3 I'd watch an episode like that. Btw. in case anyone is wondering, Shaggy checks whether bacon soups are 20 or 50 years after expired, because it depends on whether he decides to heat them before eating or not :D

Am I a fan of Scooby-Doo? Well... yes and no. As a little kid, I loved the show, I even had VHS tapes of the episodes... But then my lil brother got hooked on it and watched it so obsessively that I hated the whole show (especially since his favourite was that damn Scrapy-Doo, so he was tormenting me episodes with him, and Scooby-Doom, the other son of the b*ch, which I hate). However, I still enjoyed the full-length movies, and to this day I still enjoy watching some of them (for example: "Scooby-Doo! and the Reluctant Werewolf" or "Scooby-Doo! in Where's My Mummy?..." by the way, the former was made in the year of my birth, so he's older than me, yay!) But then came the era of weird Scooby-Doo series that delighted me again and stole my heart, like "Shaggy & Scooby-Doo Get a Clue!", "Scooby-Doo! Mystery Incorporated" or crazy one "Be Cool, Scooby-Doo!" (I love self-ironical, self-parodying shows). So... yeah, I guess I'm a Scooby Doo fan now. What's more, I will now say something that will probably make some people hate me: I like the "scandalous" show "Velma". Uuuu! Everyone will stop following me now, what a drama.

I have to admit that I had fun - although it was probably one of the most difficult Ink Demonths so far (counting the future ones I've already drawn). Scooby-Doo is damn hard to draw, because he has very caricatured features while having quite a dog's build, and when broken down into simple shapes, he's... just plain ugly to draw. Shaggy was a bit of a challenge, but it was a real pleasure to draw Velma. By the way, these two are my favourite characters - and I ship them in their youth (in their mature life, I prefer Shaggy with that cool alien from one of the movies). I used, of course, the background from BATIM - and choosing the right one and then framing it the best took me a lot of time and frustration too. I originally wanted a setting from the first chapter, but nothing looked right with the characters on it. I finally made it to the second chapter - and I think it turned out really nice. However, I am extremely proud of how cans turned out, the expiration date of which is checked by Shaggy.

If anyone doesn't understand why this entry is for "machine" theme, let me remind you that the Gang drove a cool, colourful van called... that's right! The Mystery Machine! If you didn't know that, you can't consider yourself a Scooby-Doo fan :D

UM. HELLO THERE. so, i wish i could say that YAY HIATUS IS OVER I'M BACK, but.. nope, it's not over yet. i think these first months of uni will be very busy for me and when i finally manage to get some free time, my energy levels are just too low for writing, haha.. so yeah, i'm not sure when i'll be able to go back to writing imagines.

but i didn't want this blog to be totally dead, so i decided to do this fun little thing! i saw a lot of people doing posts like this and my class gc is. well. a whole circus, so i thought i should try this too. idk if these are going to be "in character" but i hope they sound like something twst characters would actually say.

this is going to be mostly heartslabyul, because i feel like our class really has heartslabyul energy jnmfdkdldf.

Ooh yay! This got uhhhh out of hand lol

1. What do you like most about your favourite character?

*cue the instant argument in my head over who's the favourite*

I was literally about to go "look John gives me physics so..." and Scott shouted in my head "what about piloting, there's soooo much maths and physics in that and Virgil went "I'm a qualified engineer???" and Gordon said "oceanography has a huge focus on applied physics, and what about the biomechanics of the body we talk about as athletes" and Alan looked me dead in the eye and just said "SPACE?!?!"

I'm very physics obsessed and since I'm on summer holidays this is only going to build until I get back to school and get to torture a new set of students with my one true love 😂😂

Uh, anyway, aside from that the unfailing and unflinching decision to do what's right over and over and over again, even when it's hard, and to not only do what's right, but to do it with love and kindness and patience. Quietly getting on and solving the problems and it's the old story of all that pain and it only made him kind (thanks doctor who that's permanently etched into my being now but it's so real and it killlllllls me)

and now I'm all weepy 😭😭😭😭

*giggling* I don't have any pets and all I can think about is Hagrid saying that sometimes people can be a bit stupid about their pets

"She's grown so much, Brains! How's she eating?"

"Scott, it's a machine, it doesn't eat. Thunderbird One's fuel cells are currently operating at 78% efficiency. We need to break 80% if we want those top speeds to be accessible."

"She'll get there," said Scott, cooing slightly as he stared up at Thunderbird One's shining hull. "She's the best plane in the world, she'll do anything we ask her too."

"It's not down to her - it - it's a machine Scott!"

"Oh, you're much more than that, aren't you girl?"

"It's the physics that determin–"

"You listen to me," Scott interrupted, paying Brains no mind. "We all know physics is important, but you and me? We have a bond beyond the physical world, I can feel it. You can feel it too can't you girl."

He paused, listening to a response from beyond the universe as the sun struck her silver casing and made it sing. Brains looked fit to explode beside them.

"That's right," Scott said, humming in agreement. "When you're all grown up, it'll be you and me, girl, we'll take them on together. Not long now, help Brains with his work now."

Scott patted her hull one final time, and grinned at Brains.

"She'll be good I promise. Forget 80%, I reckon she could hit 85."

Brains huffed.

"I'll keep that in mind."

For a moment, Scott lingered looking down at the blueprints spread out across the holos.

"Could you send me a copy of that one?" he asked, pointing at the very first technical drawing Brains had done, Jeff dictating his vision at his side.

Brains looked up at Scott, forlorn in the knowlesge that he'd be leaving 'his girl' behind once again as his leave ended.

He sighed and waved a hand, transferring a copy to Scott's device.

"Go on," he grumbled good-naturedly. "Take your baby photos and get out of here."

Oh yay! I don't usually get asks for Storyteller Saturday (probably because I'm not online on the weekends) but yes, I do have a book coming out this year! And I would love to talk about it!

Dragon's Daughter is book one of a two-part lesbian knight/dragon love story and my elevator pitch is:

A young dragon is mistaken for a princess trapped in a tower and forcibly "rescued" by a would-be knight in shining armor. Carried off to human society, and with no ability to leave, she has no choice but to accept her newly bestowed noble title and do her best to navigate all of the drama that comes along with it.

(Just to make it clear, her love interest is not the same knight as the one who "rescues" her)

Some tropes: knights and ladies, dragons, general 1200s-ish fantasy setting, finding oneself, found family, political intrigue, lots of queer characters, a medium amount of world-building

The story will be serializing as a web novel starting July 15th before being published as a physical volume. It will be available on the publisher's Patreon along with a second very good, very gay novel by another author.

The cover reveal (and first full chapter, for free!!) will happen in about two weeks, so you're a bit early. But I can say that the story will have 14 very sweet illustrations which are being done the old-fashioned way, as actual block carving prints!

Just for you I will share a thumbnail that we decided not to go with (in favor of another option) so that you can get an idea of what the full art looks like. We're going for the visual style of fantasy novels printed in the 40s and 50s.

And I do have an image of the main character, Lady Patrice Drake, that I drew a few months ago.

My #1 post of 2022

Multiple times in the past 2 weeks I've had people say things along the lines of "but you probably have really specific ideas about what your characters look like" and "but you probably have really specific ideas about what your character sounds like" and the answer is no! I don't!! I have no clue!

I cannot visualize things for shit!

I cannot picture things in my head, be that actual visuals or audio or taste or anything else. I have almost complete aphantasia. Whatever I write down description-wise is usually pretty vague.

Whatever you think my characters look like or sound like based on whatever limited description I give, that's totally fine with me.

I just want to put it out there that like. I am a fantasy author who has a very, very poor ‘visual’ imagination, and that's fine. Almost always when I'm talking to people they think that I must be able to see like. Movies in my head or whatever and the truth is it's a blank fucking slate, that's all. I don't see anything. I don't hear anything. I make up everything with my best guess work.

That's also why I tend to use a lot of descriptions and metaphors that have to do with animals, because I'm very familiar with animal behavior, but I'm not very good at visualizing things so…comparing things to animals it is!

It is something that has a big impact on my life. I am really bad at directions because I can't visualize maps or routes in my head. I can't remember what people's voices sound like, I can't remember what their faces look like either, not until I've known them for really long time and have seen them frequently, I can't remember what things I've eaten taste like…so on and so on.

Just want to say that you can like. Really not have a single god damn clue, and still write just fine.

Don't feel like you have to think about your writing in a certain way, or that you have to provide a certain kind of stuff for other people. You do you, and they'll do them, and that's okay.

You may have answered this already but what are your thoughts on a Targ baby? I'm 50/50 on a pregnancy with more certainty on it never being born if she is pregnant. Story wise there really is no reason for a baby. The only thing it does is give Dany a baby she didn't think she could have show Jon honoring his vow of not having a bastard by marrying her. So foreshadowing a Targ baby is either a legit foreshadowing or a misdirect.

This misdirect can be a complete mislead where nothing happens or it can be a misdirect where if it does happen there will be a twist. Because let’s be real this foreshadowing has also helped with the whole Dany is Fire and Jon is Ice and together they make miracles. (I want to add real quick that for me this Targ foreshadowing has nothing to do with Sansa writing Cat’s wrong and loving a bastard baby. She already loves that bastard baby. Cat not loving Jon had to do with Ned’s choices

and what she assumed about Jon’s mother. It was about their marriage.) This is why I’m 50/50 because I can see it as a misdirect which can be for 2 reasons. I do think it might happen but not exactly how people think it will. (Targ miracle baby). Jon saying he will never father a bastard. After learning what Ned did for him and the choice he made I can see Jon making a similar choice. Choosing to make the baby a bastard for whatever reasons. My guess is to go against Dany.

As far as Dany maybe she has something to do with the child not being born like she did with her Drogo baby?

I swear this Targ baby foreshadowing business will be the death of me. lol I actually haven’t answered any asks regarding this but this theoretical “b0atie” (isn’t that what the cool kids are calling it these days?) is just everywhere.

I really don’t know what to say about it honestly …

My main gripe with this baby business is that I don’t like that it’s being brought into the story, particularly since Cersei is apparently pregnant as well. What is this? Days of Our lives?!? How is this supposed to be remotely interesting to me? We have a zombie apocalypse to get through, a Dance of Dragons, Jonsa to finally happen as well as a host of other well loved characters that I want to see through to their endgames. Why the hell bring the whole idea of “b0atie” into this?!? I really, really would hate for this theoretically baby to rob me of precious time with Arya, Brienne, Jaime, Tormund, Bran etc., etc. I genuinely do not care about D*ny and Cersei’s baby drama and in many ways it cheapens their characters. They have enough to do without having to check if they’ve gotten their periods. Just leave well enough alone.

My second and biggest gripe with b0atie is not so much Sansa related, as is Jon Snow related. Fathering a bastard has been Jon’s greatest nightmare to date. This man stopped himself from having sex with a prostitute because, and I quote: “I didn’t want to father a Snow. It’s not a good life for a child”. This would be a catastrophic event for Jon and he’s been through enough of those, thank you very much.

But … since Cersei is actually going around telling people she’s pregnant and the writers essentially held a huge, neon sign above D*ny and her womb, the b0atie and the lion cub will come into play one way or another. I have no doubt about that. So I don’t think it’s a complete misdirect.

Now … the real question is will these babies be born? I’m going to go with no on that one. The fact that both Cersei and D*ny’s fertility is brought up at about the same time feels to this simple brain to mean they are paralleling these two supposed pregnancies. Which would make sense since both Cersei and D*ny were given children related prophecies. Cersei’s been told that she will have 3 children and they will all die while D*ny has been told that Drogo will come back to her when her womb quickens and she’s able to give birth to a living child (meaning never).

We know that Cersei’s baby, if she indeed is pregnant, won’t be born. Does that tell us anything about D*ny and b0atie? I would say yes. Now if you think D*ny’s story is one of triumph and heroism, this might seem like a juxtaposition instead of a parallel. So where Cersei fails to have the baby, D*ny delivers b0atie and she and Jon will be the happy parents of a lizard controlling second coming of Renesmee Cullen (Gods! That’s a stupid name!). Yay! Fun!

If you have been around my blog for long enough, you know that I don’t believe D*ny is the hero of this story but rather the ultimate antagonist, hidden under our noses since the beginning of this story. So going by that, the reason why Cersei and D*ny seem to be sharing this baby story line is in order to draw parallels between the two of them, instead of setting them up as foils. Which means, by extension, that D*ny will not give birth or at least not to a baby. A lot of things can come into play here, of course. D*ny could in fact become pregnant but lose the baby. D*ny might think she is pregnant when she isn’t, in a play on Bloody Mary with her phantom pregnancies which would keep in line with the historical references that GOT/ASOIAF are littered with.

My favorite theory, though, and one I’ve seen only a few people mention (sorry I don’t have a link on this. I saw it a while back) is that D*ny will give birth … she’ll just give birth to a shadow baby. GOT/ASOIAF has always played with the idea of monstrous motherhood: Lysa Arryn comes to mind, D*ny and her dragons, Cersei and Jofferey and … Melisandre and her shadow king killing baby.

We know Melisandre is coming back in season 8. Now … it’s pretty obvious that Jon isn’t going to welcome her back with open arms. He promised he would hang her for the murder of Shireen and Jon is a man of his word (or he tries to be … lol). D*ny on the other hand took a liking to Mel instantly, once she heard of the possibility of being even more special than she already thinks she is and adding a new title to her list of monikers: “The Princess that was Promised” ( I agree with Tyrion. It just doesn’t have the same ring to it :))) ).

Mel’s intentions are good in that she wants to stop the Long Night and the WW. However she is a religious fanatic with a penchant for burning people alive. She really did a number on Stannis and Stannis was much harder to sawy than D*ny would be. Stannis didn’t believe in the Azor Ahai prophecy, at least not for the most part. D*ny is already inclined to believe just about anything that confirms how awesome she is. So I could see Mel working on D*ny much in the same way she did on Stannis. And what better way of ensuring D*ny trusts her and keeps her around than to give her what Mirri Maz Duur took away from her?

Of course, Mel’s plans are never truly successful in the long run and she bungles everything she touches (with the exception of bringing Jon back - incidentally the one thing Davos had to talk her into doing) so instead of a baby, D*ny gives birth to a shadow. It would also be a nice parallel to Rhaego and Mirri’s description of him as being monstrous and having been dead for years. And also in another parallel, since I also believe D*ny is Azor Ahai, she will end up burning Melisandre, fulfilling Mel’s dream of dying in the service of the true savior but flipping the whole story on its head because Azor Ahai would not be a savior, she would be an antagonist on the same level as the Night King and Mel would die basically for nothing.

That’s essentially all I got on that, nonnie and I’m sticking with it until Renesmee- come-again rips it from my trembling fingers! :)))))

(#3 of 3) I'm honestly just here for the storyline and fantastic writing style, the smut is just an added bonus. I'm just not excited to read the chapters anymore since I know there's a good portion of it that's just murderbird interactions. I hope this doesn't come off as rude, I've rewritten this about 10 times now to try and not make it be so.

In video game terms, this is the sidequest roundup before you start the trip to the final dungeon. Because it’s fanfic, yes I’ve put in a lot more fluff than I probably should have. and does that distract from the seriousness/tension of the main plot? Yes. But every time I mention “maybe I should cut this…” people go, “Please don’t.” So that’s why I’ve left so much in: it’s fanfic, and extra fluff is fun.

On to more bare bones behind the scenes stuff.

I realize not everyone is going to be “yay pet tropes!” And maybe some people find the scenes tedious. That’s fair. And to be honest, if I were an artist, I think the best medium would be to draw little Isha side comics. But I’m not. Sadly.

Isha’s gotten a bit of screen time, partially because dino fantasy pet, partially because whenever I add a new character, they do get more attention at first, then slowly integrate into the story. That’s how it went with Chang, Tataryn, Távio, etc. I can wax poetic about the symbolism of Lucky getting a pet, blah blah blah, but let’s skip that and I do acknowledge there will be Isha interactions throughout the rest of the fic, or until I kill her off. I mean… But, the screen time will diminish, because as I said, I am in the process of getting the pieces situated for the Hanoi showdown. There are a lot of sideplots to tie up, and I haven’t forgotten them. (Unless I have, but: Ainsley, Lao, Zenyatta & Kwento, internal traitors, Family Day, Gérard/Ziv, are the ones I can think of off the top of my head.)

So no, sadly, I do not intend to write another 100k of murderbird adventures. I’m too busy picking which characters to kill/finishing up subplots. :D

Episode 2 - "I DON'T WANT THE MYSTERY MOUSE-CA-TOOL BESTIE" - Ellie

At the tribal, Ping was voted out of the Pendragon Tribe nearly unamimously. Tribal immunity for this round is Pictionary.

I bet all these bitches know i voted for Keith and now they are going to come kill me in my sleep if i die i blame dylan

yass round 2 i either think im in the best position on this tribe or theyre all secretly coming for me thats all

Tribal went as well as I expected it to go. No major drama. It seems like Keith is in real trouble if we do go to tribal again though which would put me in a very tricky spot. For now, though, I will be trying my best in the upcoming challenge. The problem is, however, timezones and schedules. Jon is going to be our drawer, but he can only do it tonight or in the early afternoon tomorrow which I will not be there for. Additionally, Keith is asleep so we have no idea what his schedule is going to be so we basically had to schedule the challenge without him. And Nya could only do right before the deadline tomorrow which Jon cannot do. I hate this for us, truly. I just hope that Moth and I can rub our brain cells together for this one so that we can pull out a win. OR somehow the other tribes fail horribly. On the bright side, I am finally starting to catch up on Duolingo exercises. They're a lot easier than I thought, but it is still going to be tedious af to save up enough coins for some of the higher end products at the shop. As a final note, I am going to work with Nya in the long term as we promised each other to. Hopefully that actually works out. Time to actually be loyal and be a hero this time around. Need to try something different.

If we lose this challenge, I will be very upset. We went so hard on this challenge!!! I believe that we can at least get second place, but I don't know how crazy the other tribes are. So, let's see what goes on

Ayyyyy soooooooo looks like the four, Colin, me, Ava, and Brayden are officially in an alliance!? I’m really hyped to be working with everybody and already have sights on who should go if we have to go to tribal 👀 but like I’m gonna feel so bad if we go to tribal and I orchestrate a whole plan to take someone out I gotta do it when I’m not in my feels and the planets aren’t fucking with my emotions too heavy. But go alliance ! This means I’ll be able to stay safe until hopefully a merge and hopefully we can avoid a tribe swap till then which I get those vibe from it !! But I’ll be here to survive two more tribals just in case which is pretty rad. Other then that hopefully me offering to draw doesn’t end us up in the bottom and we can keep killing ! But anyways that is it as off know hopefully I have a lot more coins tomorrow morning and I get hit the hat shop bright and motherfucking early.

Just got asked to be apart of an alliance <33333 the besties in the group trust me which maybe ain't the right move but for now we gotta love the bonding. exciting!!!

YAY FOR ROUND 2! Okay, so I meet once again with the Hat Shop and... third times the charm! Except,,, the charm is getting nothing AGAIN lmao I'm not complaining though, still got that extra vote :P I stayed up at 1 AM for this challenge, and I honestly think our team popped off. Anastasia was guessing a ton, and Riley was amazing at drawing real quick! I have a relatively good feeling about our performance, so I hope I wake up to the news of our tribe being immune :D

so yesterday I set myself on a mission to get an alliance. I wanted Ava + Brayden + Toph + me as a majority alliance. it was our day off from tribal so I thought it was the perfect day to do it!! I talked to Brayden about it first because he's the person I feel the most comfortable with, and then after a lot of coordination and careful communication I was able to pull it together!! I think the most important thing when making alliances is making everyone feel like they're a big part in it. So I was careful to ask each person how they feel about the others, about the game, and made a point to say that I wanted to work with them specifically. Some may call that a little manipulative, but I wanna make sure that I'm an essential part of the alliance!! i need everyone to feel like they need/want me there.

all of this happening so soon into the game is a testament to how aggressive I'm playing this time around. I usually like to lay low and just rely solely on my social game in the start, but I'm trying this out to establish myself early on! I wanted to play the tribe leader and I think I'm doing that in a smart and subtle way!!

so yes now we have a 4 person majority alliance named "duolingo owl hate club" because fuck that guy. I think we're the 4 most active and present people on the tribe so it's only natural for us to work together, but I think it's definitely worth noting that I was the one that was pulling the strings here.

We just did the pictionary challenge, I have a good feeling about it!! Toph was an amazing artist, and if we win, all credit rightfully goes to him!! I think the guessers also did great of course, but like come on, the artist has to be the mvp. I'm really hoping we pull through!! I don't mind going to tribal, but I genuinely don't wanna vote anyone out yet. I'm fine just playing the game in a precautionary way. I know I'm in a great position if we do go to tribal, but it's always preferred that we don't go.

Toph Soooooo we finished the challenge with 32 points and like wig !! I was a quick as drawer for 32pts expect when my internet lagged, but still ! I think we whooped some ass and if we do go to tribal I know it won’t be me going, thanks to Duolingo owl hate club but I’m also worried same could have and advantage because they seem pretty kean on learning a lot in like 3 hours and then tried to cover that statement to not seem so threatening but like babs s a huge threat too apparently they love Duolingo and know 5 laugnes ? This is from brayden but If so go babs ! That’s absolutely iconic for real Life but fucking scary in this game ! I gotta be buddy buddy with them so hopefully if they do have something it won’t be them going home first and it will be Ava. But I’m thinking we might get second place again unless someone is a fucking wizard at this.

anastasia asked me to call yesterday and i was like sure lets talk but it is damn near impossible to hold a conversation with her idk i tried BUT she did tell me “yeah i just got off a call with ellie” im like i see. she says shes down to work with ellie but that quickly switched from ellie being ~experienced~ but good to know ellie is also playing hard. anastasia also mentioned that she talks to riley a fair amount who i still have yet to connect to well. but dat makes me think ellie is def talking to riley too miss debate team is definitely a talker. but good on her for the social game i guess

Ava Second challenge was Pictionary and I had a ton of fun playing. The tea is: toph did a great job. He was pretty vocal about not being a great artist but really I think he did great. However, Babs was super inactive yesterday and ~too late~ said they were a great artist and should've been picked to draw. It was kind of like.... k babs thanks for the belated "help". They did do great guessing which scored a point in my book. Brayden was supposed to play but last minute logged off without saying anything so we did the challenge without him :/ sorta a bummer. Anyway the lack of participation from Sam is kind of popping off so we'll see where that leads them... Overall a fun game and fingers crossed we did well!

Happy I made it out of that tribal. I had raffy backing me with whom I played. Last time we played. We were at odds. We didnt work together but whats worse that we were against each other. I was really bummed tbh. Like I thought we did well but circumstances with the challenge were just really unfortunate, from conflict about who wanted to be the artist to people disappearing the moment the challenge started, I think we did well despite all of that. Except we did kinda get stomped anyway. Oh well!! The game moves on. Tribal has to happen.

Initially I was gonna push for Babs, just because I feel like I don't wanna attach myself to them too early on. I've seen how much of a bitter player they can be, and lets just say I'm not the most loyal ally to have. however! 9 minutes after we lost, Ava announces to our alliance that she's voting Sam. I wasn't surprised, Sam has been the one not really pulling their weight. But I had some good connections with her!! we both did colorguard and shes so sweet and easy to talk to. I was really conflicted for a little bit, debating on whether or not to actually push for Babs. I think brayden sensed my hesitance but we both knew there was nothing really I could do to stop Sam from being the vote. At first tribal, the initial name always spreads like wildfire.

However, my mess was stopped abruptly by Sam asking to be voted out. welp!! okay then!! babs stays i guess!! i'm not too bothered. I'll never turn down an easy vote hehe.

Like, Stoki’s still my favorite Steve pairing but Stony’s really cool too…you know I ship almost everything XD (also am I the only person who sorta hated almost everyone by the end of CW? Speaking of Illumi, do you know that Hisoka/Illumi is an incredibly popular ship in the HxH fandom? Probably because both of them are so horrible that they have like 0 friends other than each other. Nobody else wants to hang out with these losers. (Chrollo tolerates Hisoka and the adults in Illumi’s family seem to spend enough time with him to give him orders, but that’s about it.) It’s a trash ship with two trashy people and tbh I love it XD

FINALLY. Fellow Death Note fan <3333 Who’s your fav? Do you have any ships? Are you done with the anime??? :D (also do you know…you picked a really interesting time to join the DN fandom. The American live-action movie just came out and it sucks so freaking bad, like I haven’t even watched it yet and just from the reviews/clips, here’s what I got:

-They turned Misa into this Harley Quinn-type character. Only without any depth.

-Light/Misa is an actual canon ship, like, it’s not abusive or one-sided like it is in the anime/manga, it’s just…a thing. Light loves Misa. Misa loves Light. It’s like every cringey high school romance movie ever, only with more murder

-They freaking bent the Death Note rules just so Light could get away with all sorts of ridiculous stuff

-L cries, L rants, L is overly emotional

-Light tells L where he hid a page from his Death Note. Light doesn’t deny being Kira. Light shows Misa his Death Note when they like barely know each other and she’s still a complete stranger to him. Light acts like an idiot.

-Oh sure, he’s Kira, God of the New World, but he still cares about going to prom with his girlfriend and making stupid faces as they pose for pictures

-So much unnecessary gore. Heart attacks are Kira’s thing, Light isn’t that emotional about his kills, he doesn’t care as long as the 'villains’ are dead, so why???

-Apparently Rem does not exist. Sayu doesn't exist either. Light’s mom is dead (probably so he can angst over her)

-Light Turner. Light TURNER. Out of all the surnames they could have chosen…

-And now, for the most unforgivable sin:

And then random things: JJ and Light have the same voice actor. Yurio and Mello (imo…have you met Mello yet?) could be long-lost twins.

I think you’d actually like the manga? It takes a pretty dark turn compared to the anime and deals with lots of mental issues (the whole theme of the later volumes is Madness). Also, lots of death XD Well, the artwork changes drastically, so which one are you talking about XD

The girl in the coat (left first pic, middle 2nd) is the same person for reference. Death the Kid was one of my first anime crushes. The guy has OCD and is a total badass.

MUHAHAHAHA I think someone uploaded the Lizzy fight to youtube so you can probably find it there, but I am in love. The animation is beautiful, so that’s also a huge plus. All in all, it was handled really well.

So last I’ve watched is ep 25, aka the one WHERE L DIES. And i am not okay. I am nowhere near okay. Nope. Not at all.

Oh i’ve heard all about the adaptation. Tbh I find the whitewashing hilarious. Setting the movie in America removes so much of the series’s logic, so why? L being the way he is is probably my favourite mistake. They took the best character and ruined him completely. POTATO CHIP SCENE NOOOO But my question is: did everything go just according to the keikaku?

Have fun w SU! I’ve watched it for a while, but gave up at some point. I might pick it up again if I have the time ^^ Word of advice, watch out for the fandom, they’re among the most toxic ones I’ve ever encountered. One time, they almost drove an artist to suicide because she didn’t draw Rose ‘thick enough’. So yeah.

the mall didn't burn down entirely (like from the outside it looked fine). the ventilation system caught fire so it was more internal—ceilings and all that. covered things with soot(?) and ashes so the entire mall was closed for nearly 2 years. and hey, i've experienced a school fire too back when i was younger. i, too, thought it was nothing but a fire drill until i saw the charred remains of the buildings behind our school : D thankfully, no one died.

the new nct track is for a samsung commercial AHAHA it's funny because nearly everyone uses apple TT_TT and the mv screams neo culture tech tho (well as it should lmao). yes, i was talking about that part in hot sauce but yes, it grew on me too.

ateez really know how to do a performance. they put the standard so high for me when it came to performing. their facial expressions and overall stage presence just impresses me. it's been a while since i've seen idols draw me to them by those standards.

oof the pd48 scandal is extremely complicated. to condense it in a few statements: all of the girls' rankings have been rigged since the very beginning and it was rumored that they already had their end group before the show even started. it was like this for pf48 and pdx101 (group x1) which was why x1 disbanded within a month of debuting, and izone were on hiatus for like 4 months. im not the best at explaining stuff like this haha, but i think you get it. you can check out yt or search up 'pd48 scandal', a ton of articles and videos. as for new groups, nothing has been made clear yet. theyve only made instagram handles for now and appeared on variety shows haha. as for acting career, hyewon was supposed to do acting but was forced to join pd48 so maybe she'll continue acting afterwards? nothing is confirmed yet!
