Akihito/Sutokuin MBTI Analysis

Akihito is an INFJ (Introverted, Intuitive, Feeling, and Judging).

Right off the bat, it is obvious that Akihito is not an outgoing person. He trusts two people in the entire universe, and only two people: Yasuchika and Ibuki. Since they have stuck by Akihito's side loyally for the longest period of time, there is a certain degree of mutual trust between the trio. If one is missing, the other two feel the emptiness that occupies the space between. Akihito does not express his feelings often, nor does he know how to do so. Although the precious memories he made with Yasuchika when the latter was a child led to the preservation of Akihito's humanity when he was a wandering spirit, and Ibuki's nonverbal expression of care for him allows him to understand that he will not be abandoned like before, he internalizes these sentiments instead of letting them out. The painful experiences that haunt him from his past led to him not opening up to almost anybody. He bottles up his feelings as a defense mechanism in an attempt to protect himself from ever being in a vulnerable position again. Hence, introverted over extroverted.

When making decisions, Akihito often "reads the air" around him. He manipulates the situation to save face while calculating the motives of the person in front of him. This is a survival skill that Akihito acquired at a steep cost while growing up shunned by his father and the court. He had to always be on the lookout for assassins seeking to kill the infamous "Sutokuin," usurpers attempting to steak his throne, and double-faced liars trying to curry his favor in order to use him as a political pawn. There is a saying that, "you look into darkness and the darkness will look into you," and this is no different for Akihito. As a result of many negative encounters with cunning people in the past, he adopted their shrewd, perceptive mentality. He recognizes that one cannot always take a situation at face value and that gut instinct can communicate more information about the truth rather than what one simply sees. Akihito trusts his own impressions of a state of affairs rather than taking others' notions for granted. Hence, intuitive over sensory.

Initially, Akihito may appear to fit the traits of a coldly calculating, solely analytical personality at first, but he is in fact strongly driven by his emotions. Witnessing the aftereffects of being irreversibly cursed in his childhood and the unjust damage it wrought unto his reputation, Akihito does not want to let others suffer a similar type of injustice due to simply being born with less power than others. This is why he carefully amends the law codes to enable the poor to reap the benefits of lower tax rates, occasionally pardons individuals out of prison if their "crime" was meant to be a nonviolent help to their family (e.g. stealing a small loaf of bread on one occasion), and actively learning from the negative consequences his policies may have produced in order to shape better ones. The emperor is a complicated man, formed by his early encounters with injustice, a naturally gentle disposition, and a generous, compassionate heart. He honestly desires the best for his kingdom. Hence, feeling instead of thinking.

As the leader of a state, Akihito possesses the ability to strategize ahead for the future by anticipating opponents' possible moves and efficiently counteracting them. He does not just sit around perceiving what is happening, he actively takes a stance to support his best interests. Being raised from a young age to be concerned about Hinamoto's welfare, Akihito is skilled in matters of jurisprudence, diplomacy, and negotiation. He is willing to compromise as long as it leads to the achievement of a goal, but not on the major issues. For example, in his route, when deciding to singlehandedly take on the burden of freeing the entire kingdom of its curse by sacrificing solely himself, Akihito planned meticulously ahead, but jumped at the opportunity to further his aims at every chance. One can see the mentality of a man who grew up without much support or opportunity reflected in his self-sufficent mentality. Akihito may appear noble at first glance with an elegant face and graceful almond-shaped eyes, but there lays a backbone of steel beneath the calm facade. Hence, judging over perceiving.

The MBTI personality analysis system is not a wholeheartedly trustworthy one to understand all of the nuances of a unique individual. Nevertheless, it can be a fun pasttime to explore on people in different situations. MBTI is far from being 100% accurate, but is designed only as a hobby. This is one psychological framework that can be applied to human beings, as long as it is meant only in a nonserious context. Hopefully, the reason is clear why I placed Akihito into an INFJ personality category. If readers of this post may agree or disagree, feel free to put why into the comments below.

William Rex Chapter 18

Editing me here: So I just wanna let you know that from this chapter onwards I'm going to be making a correction in my translation. If you know me, I use JP honorifics in my ikegen translations for example 'Shigehira-kun', 'Yoritomo-sama', 'Yoshino-san' etc..instead of using the English titles like Lord Yoritomo, Miss Yoshino etc. There are two reasons for that: 1. Because the characters are Japanese and 2. Is because of Shigehira. I can simply translated 'Shigehira-kun' as 'Shigehira' and just avoid using the honorific. It's an important thing in Shigehira's route. But in Ikevil, the characters are all British, so that's why I don't use 'sama', 'san' or 'chan'. Instead I use the English titles. But for some reason, when I was reading back the previous chapters that I have translated, I didn't like how Liam was calling Kate---'Miss Kate'. In Japanese, he calls her 'Kate-chan' which is informal and I used 'Miss Kate' which is formal. So now, I want to change it but I don't know the exact translation for 'chan'. So Liam is gonna call her 'Katie' from here on. I also wanna change 'Master Elbert' to 'Lord Elbert'. Thank you, now enjoy the story~

In front of the cell where Mr. Brian is being held, I was distracted by the sudden noise from upstairs----

Liam: "Katie! Come here!"

Kate: "!?"

As soon as I heard Liam's voice, I was jerked to my feet.

We hid in the corner of a narrow aisle where cleaners enter and leave the building.

Policemen's voice: "Do you think he actually came? What's the report?"

Policemen's voice: "I don't know! The security guard was supposed to come inform us, but at the moment there is nothing...!"

Soon the heavy footsteps are heard passing close by and climbing the stairs.

Policemen's voice: "Perhaps he's not here yet, maybe his subordinate or something---"

Policemen's voice: "Tsk...if its actually really Rex, he is going to take the prisoners as intended...."

The name that leaked out tightens my chest.

(Its William after all)

I was on the verge of a violent upheaval, but I managed to control it and took a deep breathe, trying to stay calm.

Liam: "I think they've gone. I'm sorry for pulling you out so suddenly. I saw policemen coming back and I got impatient."

Kate: "No. Thanks for looking out for me....!"

Brian: "Who is this man? Where did he come from....?"

Kate: "He's a friend of mine and William's. Don't worry."

I can't stop my inner impatience, even as I try to quiet Mr. Brian's bewildered mind.

Kate: "William may have already entered the tower."

Liam: "Yeah...what do we do now?"

(The officers who were in jail have left to assess the situation...then)

Kate: "...Let's hope we no longer need a diversionary tactic to keep the cops on their toes."

Liam: "!I see...you're going to use all this fuss to get these people off the hook."

Kate: "Yes. ....Mr. Brian. A dark-haired man named Alphonse will be here with the key to the prison."

Kate: "Tell him the destination to where the prisoners should be taken first!"

Brian: "Destination....?"

Kate: "It's not somewhere shady. It's a special ward at the Royal Infirmary."

(It was the only place I could think of to temporarily shelter the prisoners)

(The director knows more about the people William saved than I do)

(Their relationship of trust should not be shaken by a single newspaper article)

(I'm sure they'll keep your identity confidential)

I'm sure Lord Elbert has heard from Harrison and is on his way to talk to the Director by now.

Brian: "Okay. I promise to tell someone named Alphonse. What about you guys?"

Kate: "I'm going to see William. To hold him back while I take the prisoners out."

Brian: "Hold him back....? ...I see."

I don't know what will happen when he comes across the prisoners who are in this state of mind.

Brian: "So that's why you came here......?"

Kate: ".....Yes."

William tramples on and manipulates the freedom of the policemen, even as he frees the prisoners.

For prisoners who have been instilled with a sense of disappointment and suspicion that they have been betrayed, this will be seen as 'evil' itself.

-----FLASHBACK------

Alphonse: " 'It's all William's fault. We were deceived by him. We lost our family, job, honor, and happiness.' "

Alphonse: " 'If you want to hate him, hate him. Well, here he comes. Look. The guards are getting killed one by one. He's a bloodthirsty murderous maniac.' "

Alphonse: "If you don't want to judged, prove you're not on his side. Come on. I've got the knife right here."

-----FLASHBACK ENDS-----

(That's the only thing I can avoid----)

Kate: "I've got to go. Please be safe....!"

Brian: "Ah.....Thank you. You too...!"

With Mr. Brian's voice at my back, I ran up the stairs with Liam.

Kate: "The police just said that he's probably still in the other building....!"

Liam: "I heard it too! Maybe the wing near the gate...."

Kate: "Let's go!"

William: "Out of my way"

Policemen: "Ah..Arghh!?"

Policemen: "My own legs are...!"

Like retainers welcoming their lord, the policemen lined up in neat rows on either side of the corridor.

William walked leisurely as they watch him in horror and bewilderment. He then stopped in front of the last one.

William: "....From the looks of your faces, I don't think we have the chief of this place here."

William: "Bring the chief inspector in front of me. If he resists, use force".

Policemen: "Nn..No...!!"

At William's command, the burly-looking officer walks off like a toy solider.

Soon after, a stern-looking man emerged, being dragged along by a manipulated police officer.

The man who is being dragged: "Let go of me! You don't know what you're doing!"

Policemen: "I'm sorry, sir! As soon as this man opened his mouth, my body is moving on its own....!"

William: "Ah, that's right! Don't blame the man, sir."

Inspector: "William Rex..!"

William: "You already know. That would save me the trouble of introducing myself."

Inspector: "You monster...what the hell are you making my men do!?"

William: "The same thing that I'll do to you. Please wait for your turn."

William: "You know all the people who have been taken prisoner because of their relationship with me, don't you?"

Inspector: "....What are you going to do then?"

William: "Unlock all their prisons and their handcuffs"

William: "Oh and 'Come back when you're done'....After that, I want to hear more about the person who gave you your orders."

Inspector: "Shit...! Why the hell is my body...!!"

Walking away with a look of humiliation on his face, the inspector begins to hurl curse words at him.

Inspector: "Even if you help them in this way, it's not like you saved them!"

Inspector: "Because of you, the world will look at you with suspicion and because of you, they will be unhappy!"

Inspector: "It's all your fault! You monster!"

William: "If you have a heart to lament their misfortune, why did you hurt them without ascertaining their guilt or innocence?"

Inspector: "....Nn."

The frightened inspector was then silenced by the horrifyingly cold voice.

William throws a joyful voice back at him as he heads towards the wing where the prisoners' cells are located.

William: "You are right. Even if we rescue them from here, they will never be free."

William: "It takes a bit of performance to prove innocence."

William: "Don't worry, I'll think about it later, Inspector."

With a giggle behind him, the Inspector bit his teeth in humiliation.

Inspector: "....You maniac...!"

..................

Female prisoner: "Ah...the policemen are back....!"

Male prisoner: "Ugh...I'm sick of this! I'll do anything. Please someone, help me...!"

The prisoners are in an uproar of fear when they see the Inspector descending into the prison.

Young prisoner: "W-Wait, something is wrong."

Inspector: "Tsk...William Rex..! I'll never forgive you for this...!"

The Inspector, with a look indignation on is face, pulled a bunch of keys out of his pocket and began to unlock the jail cell.

Brian: "...What are you...?"

The prisoners watch with amazement as the heavy locks are easily released in front of their eyes and the prison door open.

The prisoners finally swallowed the situation after their shackles were removed.

Male prisoner: "So you're finally admitting we're innocent, huh? After torturing us so much...! Say something!"

Inspector: "This is not my will! I am being manipulated by William Rex!"

Male prisoner: "Manipulated!? What are you saying---!"

Young prisoner: "Wait...is William...is William actually here?"

｡⋆｡˚🦋˚｡⋆｡

Young prisoner: "Wait...is William...is William actually here?"

The Inspector looks at the young man's face and smiles darkly, as if he has just thought of something.

Inspector: "....Yeah, that's right. Sir Rex, the man who did this to you, is here."

Inspector: "He has strange powers over my men and me, he's forcing you all to leave."

Older prisoner: "Forcing us...? But why...?"

Inspector: "You're fellow murderers, so why not?"

Young prisoner: "We! We didn't do anything...!"

Inspector: "....If that's true, then maybe he's going to manipulate you and use you as a tool for murder."

Inspector: "You all are criminals now and will be abandoned by the society. Doesn't that make you perfect for slavery?"

The Inspector removed the prisoners' fetters one after the other, while spouting incendiary speculation.

Inspector: "Apparently, his ability to compel action, but not the words you speak."

Inspector: "Yeah....maybe that's why he's on drugs? Drugs prevent him from speaking properly, which is a good thing."

Young prisoner: "...I can't forgive him....!!"

Inspector: "You have a lot of potential. You'd make a good police officer, wouldn't you?"

Inspector: "So. I have a favor to ask you..."

Young prisoner: "....?!"

The Inspector walks up to a young man in prison and whispers something to him while removing his shackles.

Young prisoner: "....!"

With a thoughtful look on his face, the young man pulled something out of the Inspector's pocket.

Brian senses something unusual and shouts out involuntarily.

Brian: "Wait! What he says may not be true...!"

Young prisoner: "....So you're saying that the newspaper articles and the police are lying!?"

Brian: "...! Please listen to me first---!"

Male prisoner: "Why don't we just check him out in person when he's here instead of telling us what to do!"

Female prisoner: "Where is Sir Rex!?"

Inspector: "He is at----"

Brian: "Wa...Wait!"

Several prisoners, led by a young man, run up the stairs unheeding Brian's silence.

Inspector: "Hahahaha....you're so brave."

With a mocking smile, he finished unlocking the last cell and disappeared into the darkness upstairs.

Brian: "....Damn!"

Alphonse: "Oh dear, what is this delightful situation?"

Alphonse, who had just passed the Inspector, came down the stairs with a light touch.

He looked round the prison with amusement, fiddling with a bunch of keys.

Alphonse: "These keys, I don't think you need it anymore"

Alphonse: "Those who remain are...those who are injured, debilitated and immobile, and...."

Alphonse: "You, who is all wise but pathetic lamb who still can't bring themselves to doubt Mr. William's even in the worst of circumstances."

Brian: "Black hair...Are you Mr. Alphonse!?"

Alphonse: "Yes, I am Mr. Alphonse. I'm sorry, do I know you?"

Brian: "Kate told me. She told me what's going on....!"

Alphonse: "Is your leg injured?"

Brian: "Ah...I had a bit of a romp before I was brought here."

Alphonse: "You seem to be in a lot of pain. Shall I give you a good dream?"

Brian: "Dream....? No, more like, can you give me a shoulder to lean on...?"

Brian: "The safety of Miss Kate and....Sir Rex is at stake....!"

Alphonse: "....I am weak myself. Physical labor is not really my thing you know."

..............

(What should I do after I see William?)

(...No don't even think about it...I must find him first....!)

The tower, which should have been noisy just a few minutes ago, is now very eerily quiet and still,

The anxiety that stirs in me pushes me to run through the corridor.

Liam: "Katie that's...!"

Liam: "Katie that's...!"

(Those are... the policemen?)

Across the corridor, an orderly line of policemen could be seen.

The pale policemen are silent, as if they have been ordered not to speak.

(Only one person can do this....)

I looked down the corridor, beyond the line of policemen.

Even in the darkened corridor, her silver hair was dazzling.

(....He's finally here!)

It is a person with a mysterious charm that makes you forget yourself with just one look.

Self-righteous yet loving and kind.

A terrible person who left me with only wishes for happiness, but won't even let me hate him.

Kate: "William!"

William: "....!"

When William turned around, he was taken by surprise.

His blood-red eyes catches me.

William: ".....Kate?"

(No)

(We're not in a safe zone yet....)

(But I'm so happy, that I'm going crazy...)

The joy of meeting him, and the words I want to say to him, are all converted into strength that helped me rush towards him.

Kate: "Haa...Haa...!"

William: ".............."

William simply stares at me, as if asking me a question.

With a look that tries to find out why I came here and what I wanted to do.

(I want to talk a lot)

(But that's not the important thing right now)

Kate: "I'll explain the situation later."

Kate: "William, you need to get out----!"

???: "There!!"

Just as I was about to say, 'Please leave this place' a sharp voice pierced my ears.

(Eh....!?)

When he turned around, the prisoners I had seen in prison were there.

Kate: "Why are they...?"

William: "I ordered the Inspector in charge to set them free."

(William was one step ahead of Mr. Alphonse....!)

Let's get out of here

We'll take care of this

Kate: "Stay back. It's not safe for you to see them now!"

William: "Yeah, I know. I don't mind."

William said this as if to appease me, then stepped forward to hide me behind his back.

William: "It's what they need to do to be free."

Kate: "....!?"

William: "I'm right here. 'Come to me."

Female prisoner: "What the...!? My body is....!"

Young prisoner: "So what the Inspector said is true....!"

In front of the silent policemen, prisoners are drawn towards William, their faces drawn in fear.

I watched the whole scene in dismay.

(There are two ways to prove the prisoners' innocence)

-----FLASHBACKS-----

Kate: "There are two ways to prove his innocence. Either William pleads guilty and testifies that he has nothing to do with them...."

Kate: "Either that or William himself will be in a situation where he cannot be charged with a crime."

-----FLASHBACK ENDS-----

(William is now...trying to do the former)

(By using their abilities to take away their freedom, he is trying to crush what little hesitation there is in them)

(So that they would see William as a sinner...as an enemy)

Because it proves their innocence and sets them free.

Kate: "William---!"

William: "Good evening, everyone. I hope you're all doing well."

｡⋆｡˚🦋˚｡⋆｡

William: "Good evening, everyone. I hope you're all doing well."

William: "It seems everyone are not here... I'll check the others later."

William makes eye contact with each of the prisoners lined up in front of him, as if to check.

Young prisoner: "...William...! You really did deceive us...!"

I watch with a sense of dismay as the shadows of fear and disappointment grow darker and darker in their eyes.

Kate: "No...William, this is....!"

William: "So who are you again? I'm sorry, I don't recall your name...."

Young prisoner: "....!!"

(He's lying. He always makes a habit of remembering his people...!)

William: "Still...that's a nasty injury."

William mutters painfully.

I could see that he had said it on purpose to get on the young man's nerves.

But he young man was incensed just as William had hoped.

Young prisoner: "W-Who's fault do you think it is!?"

Young prisoner: "It's all your fault! You monster! You did this!"

Kate: "...!"

(What he is saying is right)

He even killed his father, yet he is unrepentant and brutally condemns those he deems evil.

He has enough sin in his hands, to be labelled a 'monster'.

(But....)

-----FLASHBACK-----

William: "No one can save everyone they see."

William: "Just because you couldn't save them, doesn't mean you have to kill yourself. Kate."

----FLASHBACK ENDS-----

(William to me is...the man that I love)

(He changed the world, he is a savior)

He makes you want to send a flower, or search for him on the streets.

Somewhere in my heart, I felt a rainbow that will never fade, as special as a passing shower.

(But William is, of course, just a human being, just like us)

----FLASHBACK----

Kate: "Last night's absolution prevented the rise of the Golden Butterfly.....right?"

William: "Kinda. Evil is stubborn. It might come back to life again and again."

William: "So we will have to keep an eye on any chrysalis that is still left and prevent them from hatching."

----FLASHBACK ENDS-----

(Even if you can't save everything, you can't stop fighting, you're not a quitter)

----FLASHBACK----

William: "My life is dedicated to my evil, I will continue to be as evil as I want to be."

William: "Until the end, when something or someone comes to cut off my head."

----FLASHBACK ENDS----

(He is a troubled man who has devoted his life to his ideals)

(William is-----)

(Because he's the only one I love)

Kate: "William...please leave now---"

I wanted to cover his ears to prevent him from hearing the abuse.

Young prisoner: "Don't you dare...I'll prove it to you...!"

Something glowed in the young man's hand.

The candlelight reflects a sharp blade.

(That's a knife----)

Young prisoner: "You're not my benefactor...nor a friend....!"

Young prisoner: "I...I'm going to clear everyone's name who's trapped here because of you...!"

(William, please command him)

(Stop him)

Young prisoner: "ARGHHHH!!"

The screams sounded somewhere in the distance.

The young man with a knife appears to be running towards us as if in slow motion.

(William----)

William: ".........."

William looked at the young man and smiled lovingly.

----At that moment, my body moved.

As if my heart ordered me.

(If you call William evil and put him to the sword)

(I don't care if he's righteous, evil or if this the end he wants)

(I want to protect him. I want to be his shield)

I have come so far for this selfish desire.

Liam: "KATIE!!"

For the first time in my life, I knew what it felt like to have a knife thrusted into me.

This would also be the first and last time, I'd learn this.

It didn't seem like a bad life.

Even until the end, I made the right choice that was important to me.

........

Silence fills the Tower of London, which until a few moments ago was engulfed in a whirlpool of anger.

Only the sound of the rain playing, gently embracing the darkness of the night, accompanied the silence.

William: "..........Kate."

A drop of heat falls on the cold stillness.

His eyes are a careful blend of love and sadness.

It was poured single-mindedly into Kate, who lay in his arms.

William: "....I remember wiping the blood of your cheeks the night we met."

Fingertips, stained the colour of blood, gently caress her cheek.

Meanwhile, an increasingly pervasive red invades her white clothing.

----Like a flower that knows when to bloom and change colour.

William: "I've been thinking about it ever since."

William: "Red really suits you."

Thank you so much again!!

I had no idea Ikemen Revolution was discontinued. That’s such a shame. I would’ve loved to see how the MC met Dean (he’s a rouge one for me).

I really want to read Ikemen Villains and Gen. Because apparently the MC in Gen is actually the best amongst all the Ikemen universes. Hopefully someone has translations for these.

Not at all a problem!

IkeRev's recent and last route was for Dum, but both his and Zero's route contain a fairly decent amount of content involving Dean. Zero's route also contains a little bit of content for Mousse as well as Oliver's. However it's still depressing that we won't get content for Mousse, Dean, or Blanc now because of the direction Cybird chose to take for IkeRev.

I personally would have loved to see what direction they would have gone for Dean myself. But alas, it'll never be.

As for IkeVil and IkeGen, I believe @archiveikemen has a fairly decent amount of things translated for IkeGen, there's a fair amount there, so I'd wander over there. They also have a few things translated out for IkeVil as well, same with @otomefiend. So I recommend taking a look at their wares for both!

And yes! IkeGen's MC (or Yoshino) is one of the better built MCs that Cybird has going currently, as she's rather well rounded and fairly realistic with the things she's been pulled into. (though in my heart, all the MCs are #1 but that's because I'm Bi and Bias)

I appreciate it all the same! So thank you so much for listening to me ramble about here and there on some things. Obviously I'm in no way an expert, but I do what I can with the time I'm able to lay out.

Hi so about the request stuff... I wanted to ask you about if you can translate Benkei's route since I don't see a lot of ikegen blog doing him. I can wait for it, if you accept since I myself is also busy with real life. But, another small request can you give some bits of part of Benkei and Yoshino where he kidnapped her and brought her to their rebel faction?

I've been playing Ikegen, and I've been brain storming ideas for an oc. It's been a while since I've done anything with ayakashi BUT.

I've been thinking about a Yuki-onna, and to self indulge-a Therodontasaurus shapeshifter 👀.

The mythology behind Yuki-onna has always intrigued me to be honest, and the idea of one as an oc would be funki. Mayhaps a friend of the mc Yoshino in the past of sorts, or fellow pharmacist.

As for the Thero, general idea of someone trying to survive comes to mind, maybe they're new to Japan and came upon it via a failed trading route from another country? Or maybe they came upon the country themself needing a new place to live? Going with the theme of survival perhaps things just weren't-enough in their former home, and they needed a new place to call home. Or maybe perhaps that very competition for survival got them kicked, chased. Gahhh that would be so funki I'm so tempted to self indulge and do that.

Tamamo has my heart in the meanwhile gyahh, I'd kill for this fox man.

Kurama isn't to bad lookin himself either, his personality has me 👀👌

I know not many like him but I can't help but already be smitten with him. Like helloooo?? Hedonistic and prideful bird boy, grrrrrr

Ikegen - Yoritomo - Love Letter

Pairing: yoshino (ooc) x minamoto no yoritomo

Warnings: maybe a bit suggestive

Word count: 926

A/N: although this is my 2nd yoritomo's fic, it was the first one I wrote, probably after that event yoshino had a baby. Yoshino's personality here is different from our 'original' Yoshino. And btw, this is also my belated gift to yoritomo for his bday. Happy birthday sadist shogun :D

Prompt: Yoshino is a fighter and works for the shogunate. She got injuried in a battle and physicians told her to rest for a few months. She is bored and decided to send a 'love letter' to his husband, Yoritomo.

As the seii-tai-shogun, people surround Yoritomo all the time, so he built another house just so his family could have some privacy.

Although Yoshino loved their private residence, she also visited Yoritomo's 'official' room in the palace quite often. However, due to her condition, she must not leave her place for the time being.

Their kids are always visiting her. They usually don't spend all day with her because they must follow strict rules and traditions in the shogunate. Most of the time, they sleep in another area of the palace.

While she loves her kid to death, she is still bored.

Yoshino is a very active person, who works a lot on a daily basis, so being on complete bed rest is the worst thing that could have happened to her.

Seii-tai-shogun's lady just wants to enjoy her life to the fullest.

But her husband is perceptive. He knows her more than anyone else. Yoritomo made sure to order guards and maids to watch her 24/7 when he is not around.

He didn't tell her, but the truth is that he gets desperate to think of the possibility of losing her. The shogun will do everything in his power to guarantee she will fully recover.

Yoshino is not dense as some women in Kamakura, she is aware that her husband is doing all this because he loves her deeply.

But she will obviously blame him for ruining her life. Who does he think he is to stop her from doing something?

On another tedious day, Yoshino had an idea. She was in a bad mood (again) and decided to send a love letter to her dearest husband. Or something like that.

"Let's see if I can ruin your day too, Seii-tai-shogun. Hehe"

"Kanako, could you please send this letter to my lovely husband?"

"Of course, my lady. Ohh... how romantic! No wonder everyone in Kamakura says that you are the best couple in all city. I wish I had that kind of chemistry with my husband..."

"Hehehe, I can't deny that we were made for each other. But let me tell you... Don't compare my relationship with yours. Believe me, it's a bad idea. We are both crazy. Me and that demoniac man."

"Hehehe. I don't see how Yoritomo-sama could be like that. But, well, it will be my pleasure to deliver your letter, my lady."

After the maid left, Yoshino signed defeated.

"It looks like people don't actually believe that we are a weird couple. They really don't know Yoritomo's true nature it seems... Oh well... It's not like it's my fault. I warn them all the time."

"Now, let's hope that idiot will read my love letter soon."

Meanwhile, Yoritomo is in the palace working. He spent all day long discussing plans for their next expedition. They have a battle coming, and he can't afford to lose it.

It's a shame that he can't bring his wife with him to the next war. Now that the kids grew up a bit, Yoshino is joining them often.

As he was checking some papers, a guard enters the meeting room to deliver something to his lord.

"Yes. What is it?"

"A letter for you, Yoritomo-sama."

"A letter? I'm busy right now. But I'll check it as soon as I can."

"As you wish, my lord. The maid told me this letter is not urgent and not related to this meeting."

"I see. Thank you. By the way..."

Yoritomo makes a sign for the guard to approach him so he can ask something in private. "How is she?", murmurs the lord to his subordinate.

"Oh... The maid who is watching the lady said she is recovering without major occurrences."

"I see. Make sure to ask someone to check on her in a few hours. I want to know everything about her routine."

"Yes, my lord."

The meeting was longer than expected, and after four hours of deliberation, Yoritomo is finally alone in the room. Before he could leave, he takes the letter the guard gave him.

He was desperate to visit his wife, so he was a bit annoyed to waste any more seconds with work obligations.

*signs* "I hope it's not another problem... I just want to focus on my family now."

"Huh? What kind of letter is this?"

Yoritomo opened the anonymous letter and once he saw what was the content of it, his distinctive smirk was evident.

"Huh, you have guts, woman, I'll give you that."

After reading it, Yoritomo heads straight to Yoshino's place. She was bored staring at the ceiling when he enters her room unannounced.

"It seems someone here missed me a lot lately."

"Oh, so you got my letter, Yoritomo?"

"Yes, I did."

"Did you like it?"

"That was a lovely letter indeed. I was so touched that I can't forget what I just read. Especially that part you said you hated me and that I was a terrible husband because I didn't let you do anything."

"I'm glad you like it. I was so inspired to show all my love to you in that love letter. After all, all Kamakura says we are the best couple in town, so I need to step up my game as the shogun's wife hehe."

"Haha, that's right. We must live up to their expectations."

Yoritomo takes his time to walk toward his wife, thinking of the best way to entertain Yoshino without hurting her. One way that only the weirdest couple of Kamakura could think of.

About Ikegen Management Team Message!

The fact that Ikemen Genjiden Management Team formally send out a statement to thank everyone who send them supportive and kind messages after the announcement of EoS and saying that they themselves are sadder than the players itself really makes me think that Ikemen Genjiden must have been their passion project. This really feels like a shut-down that is forced rather than planned like Ikemen Revolution. Correct me, if I'm wrong, because Ikemen Revolution suddenly stopped releasing new trailers for their game out of nowhere, and sometime after, they formally announced their EoS. Usually, an EoS of a game means that, a new game announcement is right around the corner. Ikemen Revolution was killed to bring out Ikemen Villains. But I feel like Ikemen Genjiden's EoS is out of nowhere. I don't really think they planned this to happen, at least not this year. I don't know. Everything really feels sus, because they just released Kurama and Ibuki's sequel and everything was going well. Let's just wait and watch if there will actually be an announcement for a new Ikemen game this year or not.

According to them the management team haven't changed since the start of the development of the game, which means, every single member in the management team has longing memories for this game.

The story is about Rikka was already in development 2 years before the game's launch, and he is meant to be the counterpart to Tamamo and the starting point of the whole Genjiden story. According to the Management team, the story hasn't even reached its full potential yet. If the game was still on-going, we would have been able to see more crazy things unfold. It's sad that no matter how many kind words and encouragement to continue the game we sent, nothing will change because at the end of the day, it's a business and this is a strategic decision made for making profits.

The management team, did say that they will try and release as many stories as possible before the end day. So lets' look forward to that.

I really love the management team of Ikemen Genjiden. They are so creative and passionate about Ikemen Genjiden that it saddens me that the game did not get the recognition it rightfully deserves. People were asking for the English release, but they don't seem to understand that if the Japanese market doesn't do well, they won't be releasing it in English. That's why I have always been saying people to go play the Japanese app if you're that interested to play the game. But whatever. This was bound to happen someday.

When I saw the introduction of Rikka, I had hope that this game would at least go on until Rikka's story is released but I guess it did not and that makes me even more sad. Rikka is such an interesting character and I'm still dying to know more about him. I wish, if they are not going to release a main story, they at least release an event of something or give out free stories about Rikka just so that the fans could learn more about him. The fact that everything about this character is now going to disappear in fucking space.....I'm sad. I'm really really sad.

I wish that this Management Team really gets the praise that they truly deserve. I hope this same Management Team, comes together again and create new game which could be even better than Ikemen Genjiden. This Management Team has the potential to create stories that truly touches one's heart and soul. A MC like Yoshino who is so beautiful and lovable than any MC I have ever seen in my life. Eccentric but lovable suitors with very unique and some of which have never-before-seen personalities. Hilarious brain-dead nonsensical humor. Amazing and heart-touching dialogues. Beautiful music. Beautiful art style. Best cast of VAs ever. Everything about this game is so positive that I'm dying from the inside when I see my child slowly dying.

I love you, Ikemen Genjiden Management Team. You guys are literally the GOAT!!! I really hope you guys do well in the upcoming years and have more opportunities to shine!!! I'll always pray that upcoming projects get recognition it deserves!

William Rex Route Review

Okay~ Finally, I sat down and completed William's route today morning.....till 4 am. Yes, I have no life and my opinion is....it's kinda good! Honestly, a part of me was expecting it would be a snoozefest and another part of me was like 'Don't worry, it's gonna be fine. You'll love it!"

Usually when I play an Otome game, if the game doesn't manage to impress me within the first 30 minutes, I'll just immediately uninstall it and would never download it ever again. But I have a soft corner for the Ikemen series because their games really fill up my lonely heart....anyways. I'm not gonna sit here and compare Ikemen series with Voltage games or anything. We'll only compare ikemen games with other ikemen games!

I thought that Ikegen was gonna be my fav game forever and I used to think I wouldn't love another game and its characters as much as I love Ikegen. I mean look at Yoshino, for example! Do you really think any MCs could ever beat her? She's honestly the best thing to come out of Cybird and very thankful to them that I finally got an MC I could truly love!! Since Ikegen set the bar up really high, I was hoping the next upcoming game to be even better or at least the same as Ikegen........and then we got something that I don't even wanna talk about :/

So I was skeptical about the projects after that and then we got the news about Koihana. It got me interested, but it wasn't exactly a game in the 'Ikemen series'. There is no 'ikemen' in the title. Not that I won't play, I will when it comes out when I have time. After that out of nowhere, they dropped the teaser for Ikevil and I was SHOCKED!! because I was expecting a teaser of Koihana that day. I was honestly shocked that we're actually getting two new games for the 10th anniversary. The bgm in the teaser was so good (but too bad they didn't use that bgm even once in the whole game!) and I got intrigued about the characters, how they are gonna look, the MC, what's the story about, whose the artist, MC's role blah blah blah etc etc...I was super hyped.

Then the game came out and I played. Like I said, if the game doesn't impress me within the first 30 mins, I was gonna immediately uninstall it, because what's the point in playing if you're not gonna enjoy it, right? I need that 'first impression' to be the best impression! Honestly, I wasn't expecting a gore scene IN the prologue. I thought the prologue would be nice, calming, and maybe a little bit violence here and there...BUT NO! They didn't hold back at all and I LOVED IT! It got me really excited.

I started with William's route because I was planning to translate it and was expecting a lot more gore. William's route is good..................if you can sit through at least 15 chapters without sleeping, then I guarantee you that you will enjoy it. This is also coming from a person whose fav type is not William. Let me divide William's main story into two parts, without giving as many spoilers as possible. The first 1 to 3 chapters are okay. It just gives basic info about William, his personality, and other characters....simply basic stuff. The chapters from 4 to 14, are basically filled with William and his friends doing various missions and William helping Kate to be honest with her desires. It's mainly the bonding stage and I wasn't really into it because I felt like nothing was happening. Even William and Kate's interactions were alright, didn't get me that excited at all.

The story was moving really slowly and it felt like a lot was happening but I wasn't finding anything exciting. There was no 'real' conflict for example, there is no enemy that is terrorizing the Crown. The Crown members look severely overpowered and they are killing all the butterflies without breaking a sweat. The Crown members having these abilities as the 'cursed ones' is honestly very op if you use it in the right way at the right time. There is not much hand-to-hand combat which I personally love watching and translating. But I also love that they are all working together on these missions in groups. It's not like each member is assigned a different mission. All the members have faith in each other and help out each other when doing missions. No egos are clashing, no unnecessary fights, I love that about Crown, even though they all state that they are not friends.

So In between I was thinking...."What's the real threat here? What is Kate's role? Is her role only going to be just standing around and watching people die? Because if it is, then it's very boring."

It was only after chapter 18, that I really ended up liking William's route. William after chapter 18, is one hell of a badass character. There is this certain scene in chap 19 that I really love and it really caught me off guard for a second. There are some lines said by him that I really love. I can't wait to translate that chap and the madness ending. Also, William and Kate's relationship gets really fun. It's cuter and William keeps teasing her whenever he gets a chance (reminds me of a certain other King with black hair and blue eyes who is also cursed!).

The route has some gore and creepy scenes which are really good in showing how horrifying the world actually is. There is no filter. It feels like no one is safe. I don't even know why because at some point, I thought that there is going to be a scene where Kate is also gonna be injected with drugs. I don't know why I thought something like that, maybe in the future, some golden butterfly member will kidnap and inject drugs into her or something to mess up with the male lead's mind....who knows? But it feels like Cybird is not holding back with this one.

Now, coming to Kate. As an MC, I think she's good. She's very nice, caring, understanding, and possessive (lol). I like her a lot. I feel like out of all the Ikemen series MCs, Kate is the only one that has some sort of character development. She goes from being this shy and reserved person to more lively and talkative. It's kinda cute. She gets more bold in the latter half and doesn't shy away from expressing what she wants to do. I like that. Thank god, cybird didn't end up ruining her character in an attempt to make her look pure-hearted. The only, drawback I have with her is her job as a 'fairy tale master'. Honestly, it's such a.....meh job for some reason. She doesn't really get to do much, she only has to stand at the side and watch the male leads mutilating people. It's kind of boring because she has no real goal in life. I thought her job was to find a way to break the curses of the Crown members but no, she simply writes reports that are to be submitted to the Queen. *Sighs* it's fine, I still like her though and I hope her personality doesn't change once I switch routes, or else I will be mad.

Final thoughts, not bad as the first route. I mean it's still the 'first route' and I'm sure the future routes will be crazier....especially Jude's route (I hope I don't die before that!). I feel like his route is going to be before Victor. But still, William's route did a good job in making me wanna continue playing this game, so that's a plus for me. If not, I would have uninstalled it immediately, waited for Jude route, and re-install it then.

I was thinking to start Harry's route next (not translating that btw!) but I'm restarting William's route again to get the other ending not because I'm poor and saving up gold for Harry's route, pfffttt not at all!
