Ssssooooooo thoughts on The Riddler Secrets of the Dark

Spoilers and my own opinion underneath

So I'll start of the things I didn't like

1. 2. Eddie's sister her motive was so fucking weak like I get it what they where going for but they should have had some flashbacks of her dealing with the other rogues or at least their victims to make it a little more impactful maybe more about her husband other than he was Haitian and was a okay hand shaker I get they maybe trying for a she's on a edge too she might go over like Eddie (already did)

I do like the idea of Eddie having a sister though and the impact he had on her and her anger is def justified

3. How mean Alfred was- HEAR ME OUT HOLD ON just I know it's canon in several different Batman franchises that Alfred was apart of essentially British Ninja Network ( I remember M-6 is what they are actually) so I wanted to roll my eyes at his big ol speech at Eddie both of them tbh cause sure you can act like you had some moral high ground cause you killed for you country but I'm no patriot you killed people Alfred possibly people who where innocent or even if they weren't might of had family. This might be the writing this might be the VA it it might both so I set this aside for something different but Bruce was wayyy too different in character for me if they had done this before Bruce's run in with ivy and his talking with Eddie I could believe it but this is supposed to be Bruce after that and he immediately fought Croc and was insistent on taking Eddie to the asylum....just no not our Bruce

I'm actually pretty excited and drafting/plotting the future chapters with the new Information we get every week, so I'm being a bit slower on the WHD side of things.

nothing really makes me want to give up writing. when you finally let yourself get away from other influential factors, the idea of "quitting" is non-existent. i keep writing because it's fun, freeing. this goes beyond fanfiction. i love the excitement of getting an idea and rushing to write it down lol.

Im trying to not really talk about it cause it's. Eugh. So bad I don't wanna subject anyone to it. And I'm being very intentionally vauge LOL but this shit is so mind numbing and kind of sickening like. People take this character who genuinely means a lot to me and completely twist him into some abusive pervert and act like thats what he is in the text when in reality that is just so insanely dissonant from whats actually there. This is about like that horrible horrible fanfiction I read yesterday but its not really just that its not just one crazy guy who thinks of this character like that there's multiple people and I genuinely cannot comprehend why these people want this character to be so nauseatingly horrible so badly. And they like. Make him like a fucking homophobic caricature "homosexual" "vile" "degenerate" like ok do you fucking hear yourself there is no reason to fucking do that other than horrible self-deprecatiative edginess. I can't even say there's no reason to all the horrible suffering and manipulation this fuckhead is writing he's clearly projecting all his own issues and like im sorry you're dealing with that but this is not the right outlet this is not catharsis. Like step back and see what you're doing. And go fucking reread the text you clearly didn't absorb literally the most blatant shit. And learn how to write dialog that doesn't make the characters sound insane
