This is the forth and last map I've made for The First Ones story: The Komorebi continent.

The story hasn't arrived in these lands yet, but they will in the future, so I thought it would be nice to have it ready.

Since I get better by doing, this map is probably the one I'm most proud of, even if it's not perfect. Please have a closer look here.

Hello, Nonny! Thank you so much for asking me! But my, my, my, this is a difficult one! There’s so many lovely historical storytellers here both past and present as well as all of the CC creators, lookbook makers, mod geniuses, builders, challenge creators, and just general vibe makers, each of whom make this little historical simming community amazing.

So to make this question a little easier on myself, I’m going to limit my answer to historical simmers who are still either actively or semi-regularly posting gameplay/stories here. It is inevitable that I will forget some people so please, please tag ourself in the comments so that Nonny and everyone else can go check out your historical pixels as well!

Your Aspiration: Renaissance Sim 

In Game World You'd Live In: Hmmm, this is tough, because I do love to travel but I think my hometown would be Copperdale. I like an old, small-town feel.

Favorite Townie: What's a townie? Kidding... I never play with townies, but I do feel a connection with the Pancakes. In fact, I have some neighbors that remind me of them, a lot.

Most Used Pack: Cats and Dogs, hands down.

Favorite Decor Object: Oh gosh. Um. I do love all the indoor plants. That rubber tree plant probably makes it into 80% of my builds.

Something You Want In the Game: Cars would be amazing, but I don't know that it's what I want the most. I really wish we could place different foundation heights right next to each other.

What Color Is Your Plumbob: It's probably green, maybe with the slightest tinge of yellow creeping in. I have my 2nd cup of coffee here and I'm dreaming of lunch.

Last tv show: My favorite was Game of Thrones as the series was based on the original book A Song of Ice and Fire. But I like all the historical TV Shows. I think the last one I saw was Domina about the Roman Empress Livia Drusilla.

Currently watching/listening to: The Boys. I like how this series dialogues with reality. Homelander is fucking crazy !!!

Currently reading: Ayla, a filha das cavernas (The Clan of the Cave Bear) and any prehistory books I can find (fictional or not).

Current obsession/hyperfixation: The Sims 4, youtube simmers and the Tumblr stories. Even though I don't have the time or enthusiasm to post often, I'm playing the Legacy History Challenge and always following other simblrs. I think it will take me 200 years to complete the challenge and all game achievements, read about the historical period, improve my study of the english language, learn how to create more historical custom content and finish what I've already started. It's a lot of things !!! hahshshahsha

currently watching/listening to: i'm watching a quiz show on tv

currently reading: I don't read much for pleasure, since I read so much for my thesis, but every now and then, I open a book called "Egyptian Mythology: A Traveler's Guide from Aswan to Alexandria" by Garry J. Shaw! It's a great read about the Egyptian Gods and the stories and temples, and it's written in a way that makes you feel like you were actually traveling up the nile!

current obsession/hyper fixation: hmmm... can't say that I really have one at the moment... I wish it was my thesis lol

The agreement was made, and the wedding became expensive, just as Queen Alkmini had predicted. There were many prominent guests, and even the big throne room filled up.

The bride and groom didn't seem overjoyed, but perhaps they were affected by the seriousness of the moment.

The King of Koiláda Chalkoú was invited but did not come to the wedding. He was probably still a bit crossed, even though he had received a handsome compensation, in form of horses, cattle, gems and precious metals. However, he did send his sister to represent him at the wedding, the incredibly beautiful Princess Amphiera.

Other honorable guests were of course Prince Heraklis and his family. It was the first time little Myrrhini was attending publicly, but she seemed more interested in the birds outside than in the wedding ceremony.

The bride's family were also there, even if it was quite a long journey for them, and for that reason little prince Philokratis was left at home. Queen Laonome was not feeling well, it was possible that she was expecting again, so they took a more discreet position in the throne room, to be able to slip out to the private chambers if necessary.

The distinguished ladies of Manthos were all there, of course, and Kyria Figaleía wouldn't miss it for the world.

It truly was a grand celebration, and everybody agreed that it had been a fabulous ceremony.

Except maybe for the bride and groom.

I got one of those asks (thank you @taanoir and @sims-half-crazy ❤️) that said: “List 5 facts about a favorite sim of yours, and send this to 10 simblrs whose sims you adore ❤️” Since I’m so late to the party and most of my friends have done this already I’m not going to forward it to anyone. (But if you want to do it, just go ahead!)

It is tempting to do one of the active characters in my running story, but then I would have to disclose what will happen, and I absolutely don’t want to do that!

So I chose to do Won Ngo, a side character from previous chapters, and uncle to Noor and Eira, the present heirs and main characters. One reason why I chose him is that I was really tempted to let him be the main focus of the story, but that would have been a totally different story of course. 😊

So, here we go

He never got to explore the jungle, which was his great dream (ambition) in life. He chose to stay in Oasis Springs in stead, and build a new camp with his childhood friend Lea. It is not very often that Stone Age cavemen chose love over their personal interests and drive, so that says something about how special he is. The fact that he also has the noncommittal trait, makes his “sacrifice” almost unbelievable

He is one of the best hunters in Oasis Springs. His talent was apparent from childhood. One of the reasons for his success would probably be his exceptional listening and observation skills - which he also uses in his relations with people.

He doesn’t like to brag about his own achievements, nor talk about personal views. He is very polite, discrete and friendly, but still very firm when decisions are to be made. If he lived in modern times he would be the perfect diplomat or ambassador.

He went through a depression that lasted for years, that not many sims know about. It was set off by the grief over many miscarriages and children’s deaths he and Lea experienced. In this period of his life he came extremely close to his eldest daughter Bils. She has the spellcaster gene like her mother, and I believe she healed and helped him through this difficult time, in a way that nobody else could have done.

He really dislikes parties. Out of politeness he will always come if invited, but probably leave as soon as he can. Unnoticed, of course. He is very charming and witty, so people usually flock around him at social events, whilst Won himself prefers to be alone, or in quiet surroundings with his wife and kids.

CHILD: When you grow up in an aristocratic family, part of your education is to bow and kneel. Marit thinks it's fine. Etiquette is a help for people who are not completely safe among other people. She's an introvert, loving to play and make art, but forced by circumstances to an extrovert lifestyle.

TODDLER: The one thing Myrrhini hates more than anything, is being left alone. Not that there is much chance for that, there were always some nanny or other servant looking after her. But I'm just saying.

INFANT: While her older sister cried day and night Myrrhini was very silent. If it wasn't for the servants reminding me, I would probably forget to feed her, her mother admitted.

Uhmmm i’m in the middle of updating my Sims Adaptation, finishing some of the dresses i have on my WIP folder and creating some new things that ineed for said story. Also i’m putting some pause on my Sunset Valley: 1954 proect because i’m a tad uninspired lately for that.

Flash forward ......

Khur, Callisto, Afon, Muirenn and Earendil made it to the fishing grounds. Life there is different than the valley, they have given up following the resources and instead focus on making them here. They build shelters with wood, stone and clay, gone are the tents made of animal skin and rushes. Rather than spending their days hunting and foraging, the groups here grow large gardens planting only the best seeds. They build fences to raise animals for food and even bring them into the house when the frost comes. They have have many creators that make cloth, pottery, and tools, then sell or trade them in a market. There is a much larger focus on creating surplus, they store food so that when the land is frozen they survive.

The group builds a home on a spot overlooking the river. Khur uses his handiness to create a space where his children and their children will thrive.

Khur will never forget the valley and tells Earendil, who is now approaching 5, many stories about the family's time there.
