My honest opinion of each NRC student [TWST].

Riddle: After his overblot, he turned into a really cool guy. I think that he should get some therapy and learn to say no to his mom. 6/10

Trey: Very chill; probably the only normal one of the Heartslaybul group. He's like that 'mom' friend of the friend group who gives everyone food and is generally nice. 7/10

Cater: I love you 😊 Very interesting personality, I feel like I could see him becoming a very popular influencer in the future. Very funny and his reactions to everything are priceless. Questionable taste in tags. 8/10

Ace: Honestly, not a fan. Never really liked the chaotic prankster types. 1/10

Deuce: Poor dude just trying to vibe but gets yanked into Ace's shenanigans. Overall not too bad. 3/10

Leona: Um... I don't exactly hate him but I'm not a huge fan. I get the sleeping part, though. I like sleeping too. 4/10

Ruggie: Pretty neutral. He's funny and I don't really have a problem with him. He's a bit annoying in the main story, but I can overlook that. 5/10

Jack: Very nice! He has very high morals and is very trustworthy. I feel like if I told him a super personal secret, he'd take it with him to the grave. 7/10

Azul: Neutral. I'm not the biggest fan of him, but I feel bad for him a bit because of his backstory. Also, seek therapy, Azul. 4/10

Jade: He's okay. A bit neutral but leaning toward okay. Not much of an opinion here. His obsession with mushrooms in funny. 5/10

Floyd: He'd so funny without even trying, I like him. Overall, he makes me laugh 👍 7/10

Kalim: Omg my baby, protect him 🥺 He's an absolute ball of sunshine and can do no wrong. I love this guy sm (second favorite). 10/10

Jamil: Okay, I can understand his pov, but he still betrayed Kalim, so neutral. I don't dislike him. 5/10

Vil: I'll be honest. At first, I didn't really like him, but he's chill now. He's okay in my book. 7/10

Rook: ... He creeps me out, I won't lie. I mean, there's nothing wrong with his personality ig, but the fact that he could just be watching me at any time and I wouldn't know... I'll be generous and make him neutral. 4/10

Epel: He's cool. He's that one kid who will beat your ass if you say anything about his height 😂 Also, was I the only one who didn't think he was a girl? I've been catfished by too many animes, you can't trick me anymore. 6/10

Idia: Perfect. Marry me 🥺 I love this dude. He's so funny not even trying and his personality is just 🤌 10/10

Ortho: He's so adorable and the way he was ready to blow up NRC for Idia 😭 But like, he's so cute. 10/10

Malleus: Okay, don't hate me, but slightly overrated. Don't get me wrong, I still like him, he's cool, but slightly overrated. I'm gonna get torn to shreds because of this. 5/10

Lilia: Very funny, interesting personality and just overall character type. We love found parents 🫢 7/10

Silver: Very chill, we would vibe. He's similar to Jack (high morals). Bonus point because animals like him. 7/10

Sebek: I won't lie, it kind of feels like 80% of his whole character is just following Malleus around, praising him, and shouting a lot. I'm not a fan of loud noises. Plus, his character just seems a bit boring. 3/10

Grim (Bonus): Don't like. Causes a lot of problems for you in-game and overall personality grates on me. Annoying and demanding. Yes, he's a cat(?) but the cuteness isn't worth it. But I will give a bonus point because of cat-like form. 1/10

so-- malleus is an interesting situation as despite me not knowing anything abt book 7 as of now, they're still able to mean so much to me all cause i hc it as irish 😭😭 i've grown up in ireland for most of my life so i have a sense of familiarity towards irish culture and have many close friends who are irish. yuta, my yuu, is filipino and is very close friends w/ malleus (aroace malleyuu 💯💯💯) and in a way; i see the friendship between them as a reflection of the close friendship i have w/ my irish friends here in ireland 💕 i also just think they're neat :3

absolutely!! im a die hard vil stan who likes to break his character down so i can definitely see why people dislike him, but sometimes i get the impression that people who dislike him, dislike him for the wrong reasons. people tend to harp on vil for his strictness, but i don't often see people criticize riddle for the same thing when it's arguably one of the focal points of riddle's character and his ob. while vil's control over epel did create some discrepancies during the vdc, he learned to ease off epel and be more open towards epel's achievements. so yes, there was fault in vil's actions and epel's anger is very much justifiable, but i don't think it should be viewed just through the lens of the initial problem when both characters realize things later on and the characters morality in this game are often more complex. not to mention, people tend to overlook the fact that epel eventually becomes determined to follow in vil's form of strength and charisma as his protégé, so it's not like he's continously being used by vil as a conduit to live through. also, people tend to sympathize with leona more over vil when their core struggles have many similarities (never being able to just be no. 1 no matter what they do. leona and vil are constantly being overshadowed by others because of something utterly and completely out of their control; leona is a higher ranking member in society compared to vil too, so it wouldn't be hard to understand that vil wants to just win when they understand leona so badly wants to be king) and it just saddens me to see how much they overlook vil for the same thing they love others for because vil is such a beautiful, tragic, and inspiring character.?? for a gacha game, i learned quite a lot about resilience and effort from him; it even gave me an incentive to monitor my health better. like i can relate to the notion of just-- no matter how hard you work, no matter how talented you are, no matter how objectively better you are in every single way, it will never be a guarantee for your dreams in a world that so easily squanders it AND ITS MAKES ME INSANE!!!! I WANT TO BE HIM, I AM HIM, I WANT HIM, I WANT HIM TO EXPLODE, VIL MAKES ME MENTALLY ILL!!!!! like yea you're deranged about him and i am too and i am so glad because vil fans who are balls 2 tha walls about him are lowk hard to find

but honestly bold of you to assume that people understand leona LMAO i have seen. some takes. i would honestly say more people sympathize with vil over leona but ive already hit my quota on discussing fandom racism for the month so that will have to be a post for another time ANYWAYS him and vil really are similar...that's why theyre so divorced lol recognition of the self through the other (derogatory). but theyre also really good leaders in their own right, like now that i'm reading portfest for the first time im really impressed at how leona handled jack's situation! (rook was like "i can see im not getting through to you maybe you should talk to someone you respect" and i was like omg is it gonna be leona. and then it cut to the greenhouse and i was like YESSSSS YESSSSSSSSSS!!!! ruggie and jack imagining leona's reactions to their concert was also super cute. i love the savanaclaw guys' relationships sm lmao) akjsddfhlaksdhfh riddle and vil are also super similar true, i think people just excuse riddle more since we've had more time to see him develop and his overblot was less extreme than. everyone elses lmao

♡ For Azul its either an unhinged crazy ass who might secretly be a boy loser or a fucking smartass scum who isnt pathetic

♡ Floyd is.... well, Floyd. He's silly! I love him unconditionally <3 (no i dont thats a lie- ACK HELP HES CHOKING ME-) Joking, I LOVE drawing him having threatening and scary faces. (that goes for Jade as well)

♡ Idia is either a whimpering begging mess or hes a fucking cocky menace whos actually threatening

♡ Leona is soft shy lion or a badass (yasss slay queen, we stan you‼️) and sassy at the same time (Have you seen the way he stans with his hand on his hip?)

♡ Vil is just strait up serving cunt, no words needed (she is always SERVING from the university of servington with a degree in serving cunt) I always draw him winning because she always is (we stay winning💯)

♡ Rook is an unhinged stalker with a crazy obsession or he's just a silly little lad whos always supportive of others (I like drawing him threatening too)

♡ Epel is my pretty boy who I love to draw because he's so pretty. I like to draw him very wild though and rambunctious

♡ Rollo is literally the same as Idias except he tries to hold his pride feeling really embarrassed

♡ Riddle has a strong presence and personality which i like to convey, being ruthless yet being incredibly soft. I like drawing him cute and pretty sometimes too :3

♡ TREY HAS NICE MF ARMS YOU KNOW DAMN WELL IM DRAWING HIM SCRUMDELIOUCIOUS

♡ Cater makes me sad, so I indulge myself in it. I like drawing him around deep and depressing themes, sometimes dark as well.

♡ Ruggie is either street punk cool and swaggy or damn attractive with an unhinged and sneaky overlay

♡ Jack is so cute to me, I like drawing him as the tsundere he is with a playful side to him with the overprotective bodyguard vibes

♡ Ace... I HATE THAT STUPID MF!!! God he's so annoying we might as well date already >:( He's super playful and flirty and i like drawing him sly and sometimes awkwardly flustered

♡ Jamil being a sassy overworked mom who always too tired to show any type of expression other than showing anger, exasperation, or an anxious stressed out look. Other than that, its a tired deadpan face for me as he's holding a mug saying "kys." Jamil is like a little hater to me and I stan that <3

♡ Kalim being oblivious and a bit slow, but other than that hes the happy radiating sunshine we all know as. I like giving him moments where hes so genuine and kind where you're just completely soft around him and an arrow shoots through your heart

♡ Ortho is that friendly neighbor! I like him drawing him being supportive of others and always being Idia's right hand man who can also be sneaky and sly

I'm just gonna share what's on top of my head here:

1. So I believe that "Cater" is derived from the French word for four wc is "Quatre", so the name ideas are inspired from that. So one is "Heartstring"; we know Cater puts on a happy facade and maybe his beloved is what really tugs him to drop it. Maybe "my Diamond" too (major SU vibes), diamonds are sturdy and four is the number wc represents stability and foundation. Or "Angel" as well as I believe 4 is the angel number for love. Also, FOUR👏LEAF👏CLOVER if you do poly.

2. Azul was the first person in my head if it's rivals to lovers. Maybe s/o is also business-minded like him, just not as shady and ofc it's bad for business if his victims clients are stolen easily. Maybe Vil as well, but not like Neige (I now underatand why Vil hates him), but like he's the understudy for them sometimes and vice versa. They help each other out when they seem to be stuck how to depict a specific role, etc. But tbh, ACE is the best candidate for a rivals to lovers scenario imo. He's a lovable little gremlin and we know it.

3. "Royals" for the Vil fanclub cause queen duh, but if it sounds too reminiscent of RSA, then maybe "crowns" or "jewels". Maybe his "garden" as well cause he likes calling people spudlings.

★ my first ever impressions of twisted wonderland characters.

ace trappola — i remember thinking he was definitely one of the heartthrobs from otome games. his pose when i first saw him made me think, “he likes to egg people’s houses and steal his friends’ snacks and hit on girls.” i still don’t like him obv.

deuce spade — i thought he was one of those silent but popular types. 💀 i was so shocked when he literally did not know that grocery store eggs don’t have chickens in them.

riddle rosehearts — his appearance kinda gives his personality away, i think, but i’m stupid, so i told myself, “he’s one of the mean but soft-at-heart kind of guys. so harmless.”

trey clover — average asl. i don’t hate him by any means, but he’s just not noticeable to me.

cater diamond — honestly, my first original look at cater made me think of asmo (i forgot if i started playing obey me before i started playing twst wait). i like his hair and his earrings — “definitely one of the carefree, ‘i’m-just-coasting’ kind of guys.” i still need more lore.

leona kingscholar — “OMG he’s so fine” and “DAMN”. my first thoughts. not gonna elaborate on this.

ruggie bucchi — so fun fact!! i used to have a really big crush on ruggie back in my early twst playing days. pls do not bring this up to me. they were not good times and i will cry.

jack howl — idk what it was abt savanaclaw man.. i wanted him to be my bf so bad.

azul ashengrotto — he’s one of the characters that i could never get into or seriously simp for. i don’t know what it is. when i first read over his backstory in book 3, i felt bad, but i don’t think i’ve ever really had romantic feelings for him..?? also i hated him to the CORE for evicting me.

floyd leech — i took one look at him and jade and said, “he’s the better twin.” he was honestly comedic relief to me, but i remember getting so happy when i got or groovified new floyd cards.

jade leech — i kinda fluctuated with jade cause on one hand, he’s really pretty and is def a sebastian michaelis kinnie. which is hypothetically everything i would want. on the other hand, he’s literally sm worse than floyd..

kalim al-asim — RRSFGHAHHUHGYS i used to sing prince ali but i’d replace prince ali with his name. idk who could ever hate kalim???? he was like my everything.

jamil viper — from my first time looking at him, i could never even guess that his backstory is what it is. BUT WHEN I TELL YOU I WAS WHIPPED LIKE.. 😭 when i tell u i had the most downbaditis i’ve ever had ever. i listened to genie in a bottle so many times twirling my hair and thinking of him pls don’t metion this ever again.

vil schoenheit — another fun silly fact!! guys i used to HATEEE vil schoenheit. i mean i HATED the way he acted, the way he talked, the way he looked at me. i was such a wrong and horrible person to my wife back then.. BUT!! i have come to severely appreciate and love him (in concerning amounts maybe).

rook hunt — funny enough, i never paid much attention to rook in my early twst months. i found him gross actually. and really creepy. CRAZY LOCO INSANE i know because now that im a changed person ill never let him out of my basement arms 💗!!

epel felmier — “awwww.” that was my first mistake because i would’ve gotten my ass beat if he heard me. um. i feel like we all thought epel was a girl right. not just me.. the harveston event maybe sparked a little something in me. maybe. do i have a crush on him ?? u will never know.

idia shroud — SHUT ur mouth i need to speak. IMMEDIATELY i was hooked on idia. this walking bright blue pixie stick of depression yep!!! im the biggest idia kinnie u will ever see btw!!! um from the day i met him i swore to protect his life and his comfort so erm. we’re locked in.

ortho shroud — i can’t really talk about chapter 6, but he didn’t get much screentime OUTSIDE of that so i’ll just say he’s a sweet kindhearted baby and move on.

★ malleus draconia — i gave him a star because he was my first ever twisted wonderland card!! i picked him i think because he had pointy ears and that regal look on his face. nevertheless, i still love how coincidental it was that mally is one of the only characters that actually has a romantic fanbase with the mc (me lol) and he was my first pick. <3 (I LOVE YOUV HORNTOBSJ)

lilia vanrouge — I WNATED TO MARRY HIM SO BAD OMG OMG OMG I DONT. WANT TO TALK ABOUT THIS PHASE OF TM LIFE PLEASEEJ JUST SKIP THIS. MY FRIEND STILL CALLS ME A STEPMOM TO THIS DAY IM SICKKKKK

silver — i still have nothing noteworthy to say about him and it’s been a year. idk what to put down. he’s cute when he sleeps ????? i sound like rook ????

sebek — loud mouthed little fishfart. please just stfu. i used to have a crush on him too. embarrassing please don’t ttm about that either..

grim — i kind of just thought he’d be like paimon 💀 twst got me so good with that

Vil and Yuuna would be a girl, like def, called Diana, inspired on the wishing well. I would say she has a personality just like fluttershy— BUT THAT IS AT FIRST SIGHT, bc once you know her she is just like Rarity (yes, mlp, whatever i am a teen who loves this show😭)

Grace and Floyd? TWINS. Two girls (Grace won in life). I don’t have anyone to inspire them both in, so I will keep it vain for now :,))

ADELINE AND MALLEUS OMG— Inspired on the rose AURORA holds awhile sleeping. She is quite alike to Aurora personality tbh, I think she is Aurora mix up with Tiana. And her name is Rosalynn. But they have a older boy who is inspired on the Beauty and the Beast rose and his name is Anthony and he is like Silver and Deuce (Also check ur messages I have an idea)

Maizie and Azul, like I said, Coraline, inspired in Ariel’s jewels. She is a ray of sunshine and if I am going to compare her, it will be with Rapunzel and Cinderella, their personalities are similar.

I LOVE THIS SM IM CRYING... LOOK AT ALL THESE BABIES!!! I LOVE THEM ALL I WANNA HOLD THEM IN MY ARMS

I did think of making Maggie inspired by the pumpkin carriage from Cinderella but also the more I think about it the more I feel like she should be inspired by one of the three hyenas from The Lion King — just bc she's also a hyena

Also I am SO SURE Kalim and Jeanne have like 4 children, it's just so funny like Kalim has 30 brothers dude is not stopping at one kid. But also. His wife will not let him have as many like nope she loves her body and life she's not going through that-- definitely think one of them would be the second star to the right from Peter Pan btw
