“ Dovevo ben insegnare come il cittadino reagisce all’ingiustizia. Come ha libertà di parola e di stampa. Come il cristiano reagisce anche al sacerdote e perfino al vescovo che erra. Come ognuno deve sentirsi responsabile di tutto. Su una parete della nostra scuola c’è scritto grande «I care». È il motto intraducibile dei giovani americani migliori. «Me ne importa, mi sta a cuore». È il contrario esatto del motto fascista «Me ne frego». Quando quel comunicato* era arrivato a noi era già vecchio di una settimana. Si seppe che né le autorità civili, né quelle religiose avevano reagito. Allora abbiamo reagito noi. Una scuola austera come la nostra, che non conosce ricreazione né vacanze, ha tanto tempo a disposizione per pensare e studiare. Ha perciò il diritto e il dovere di dire le cose che altri non dice. È l’unica ricreazione che concedo ai miei ragazzi. Abbiamo dunque preso i nostri libri di storia (umili testi di scuola media, non monografie da specialisti) e siamo riandati cento anni di storia italiana in cerca d’una «guerra giusta». D’una guerra cioè che fosse in regola con l’articolo 11 della Costituzione. Non è colpa nostra se non l’abbiamo trovata. Da quel giorno a oggi abbiamo avuto molti dispiaceri. Ci sono arrivate decine di lettere anonime di ingiurie e di minacce firmate solo con la svastica o col fascio. Siamo stati feriti da alcuni giornalisti con «interviste» piene di falsità. Da altri con incredibili illazioni tratte da quelle «interviste» senza curarsi di controllarne la serietà. Siamo stati poco compresi dal nostro stesso Arcivescovo (Lettera al Clero 14.4.1965). La nostra lettera è stata incriminata. Ci è stato però di conforto tenere sempre dinanzi agli occhi quei 31 ragazzi italiani che sono attualmente in carcere per un ideale. Cosi diversi dai milioni di giovani che affollano gli stadi, i bar, le piste da ballo, che vivono per comprarsi la macchina, che seguono le mode, che leggono giornali sportivi, che si disinteressano di politica e di religione. Un mio figliolo ha per professore di religione all’Istituto Tecnico il capo di quei militari cappellani che han scritto il comunicato. Mi dice di lui che in classe parla spesso di sport. Che racconta di essere appassionato di caccia e di judo. Che ha l’automobile. Non toccava a lui chiamare «vili e estranei al comandamento cristiano dell’amore» quei 31 giovani. I miei figlioli voglio che somiglino più a loro che a lui. “

* L'11 febbraio 1965 un gruppo di cappellani militari in congedo della Toscana, riunitisi in assemblea a Firenze nell’anniversario della conciliazione tra Stato e Chiesa, votarono un ordine del giorno in cui dichiaravano, fra l’altro, di considerare «un insulto alla Patria e ai suoi Caduti la cosiddetta “obiezione di coscienza”, che, estranea al comandamento cristiano dell’amore, è espressione di viltà». L’ordine del giorno, pubblicato dal quotidiano «La Nazione» di Firenze, fu fatto conoscere a don Lorenzo da alcuni giovani di San Donato e da un amico professore di Prato saliti a Barbiana la domenica successiva. Il Priore stava facendo scuola. Lesse il ritaglio del giornale insieme ai ragazzi. Se ne discusse un’intera serata, e maturò così la «Lettera ai cappellani militari toscani che hanno sottoscritto il comunicato dell'11 febbraio 1965». La Lettera, firmata da don Lorenzo, venne diffusa a stampa in forma di volantino e fu riprodotta parzialmente da vari giornali e per intero dal settimanale del P.C.I. «Rinascita» [ Nota del curatore ].

TOPOGRAFIA POLITICO-SENTIMENTALE PER FLÂNEUR D’ALTRI TEMPI

Di solito andavo a piedi, qualche volta in bicicletta o in autobus, mai in auto, anche perché non ce l’avevo. Se l’avessi avuta non sarei diventato un inguaribile flâneur. Da adolescente e da giovane ero anche un “flâneur politico”, (era la seconda metà degli anni Settanta), perché la politica si faceva anche per la strada, nella strada e comunque i luoghi della politica erano topograficamente tangibili e non “virtuali”. Io li ho frequentati tutti o quasi dall’età di tredici-quattordici anni in avanti, ma anche prima con mio nonno Giovanni che qualche volta mi portava da qualche suo amico nella sede del Partito Socialista Italiano in Largo Buscaglia a Novara. Un palazzo austero che esponeva un cartello dipinto a mano con la falce e martello sopra la quale campeggiava la scritta: P.S.I. (il simbolo del garofano venne molto tempo dopo). Lì vicino, c’era un altro luogo che qualche anno dopo, frequentai assiduamente, la sede del Circolo Anarchico di Via dei Mille. Spesso, dopo qualche riunione del “movimento studentesco”, ci si trasferiva in Via Dolores Bello, appena in cima alla scala che portava sul Baluardo, nella sede del P.C.I., al primo piano di un palazzo antico e allora un po’ trascurato. In Corso Cavour c’era la Sede dell’ANPI e in Piazza Tornielli Bellini aveva la sua sede l’M.L.S. (Movimento Lavoratori per il Socialismo), molto organizzato ed efficiente, in cui si andava a “ciclostilare” i volantini (cfr. La voce “Ciclostile” su Wikipedia). In Via Mossotti, all’incrocio con Via Canobio, ha avuto la sua sede per pochi mesi il periodico politico “Brontentola” (nome nato dall’unione di “Brontola” e “La pentola”) giornale degli studenti di sinistra di Novara, cioè praticamente tutti. Non tutte strettamente sedi di movimenti politici, ma ascrivibili ai luoghi di ritrovo di “compagni” (termine che una volta designava le persone di “sinistra”), erano la sede della CIGL, in Via Marconi, ma anche bar e circoli, come il “Mombaruzzo” di Via Fratelli Rosselli o il “Ramlin” di Via dei Gautieri, ma pure la legatoria di Marco Peressi , che diventò per qualche tempo la redazione di un’altra rivista post-movimentista, “Macedonia”, o radio libere come Radio Kabouter in Via dei Cattaneo o Radio Voce Popolare di Via Pontida, la Libreria “La Talpa” di Via Solaroli (mia seconda casa). E la periferia? Semplicemente era periferia solo topografica: in Corso della Vittoria aveva una delle sue sedi Lotta Comunista, l’altra era in Corso Milano. Lotta Continua aveva sede in un locale prospiciente il sottopassaggio di Corso Risorgimento. E poi tutti i “circoli” a cominciare dal “25 Aprile” di Corso Cavour, ma anche la Soms (Società Operaia di Mutuo Soccorso) della Piazza di San Martino, il Circolo Operaio della Bicocca, la Fratellanza, il Circolo del Cascinone… La politica era per la strada. La politica, almeno quella della sinistra, era un tutt’uno con le strade: i comizi si facevano in piazza, i cortei percorrevano le strade, i volantini si distribuivano davanti alle fabbriche e alle scuole, i sit-in si facevano sui marciapiedi, i blocchi stradali si facevano in mezzo alla strada, insomma i luoghi della politica insistevano “sulle strade”. Oggi la politica non è più nelle strade, la politica è solo “virtuale”, lontano dal “reale” e la sinistra ha perso e continua a perdere. Un caso?

Entregará Sesver y Ayuntamiento aparatos de movilidad gratuitos #EnContrasteVeracruz #Córdoba @encontrastever - El 9 y 10 de noviembre es la recepción de documentación Córdoba, Ver.- Servicios de Salud de Veracruz (Sesver) y la Beneficencia Pública Federal, en coordinación con el Ayuntamiento de Córdoba trabajan de la mano en beneficio de la población que requieran de un aparato de movilidad, auditivos o lentes, esto como parte de la campaña gratuita: “Jornada de Aparatos Funcionales”, para lo cual, los interesados podrán entregar sus documentos los días 9 y 10 de noviembre en la explanada del parque 21 de Mayo de 9:00 a 16:00 horas. La Coordinadora de Salud Municipal, Adriana Arteaga Vega, indicó que, como parte de esta campaña, se entregarán sillas de ruedas: estándar, P.C.I. , P.C.A., Andaderas ortopédicas, muletas auxiliares, bastones estándar, sillas con cómodo, además de auxiliares auditivos y lentes de armazón. Los interesados deberán presentar los siguientes documentos: INE, CURP, acta de nacimiento, comprobante de domicilio (no mayor a tres meses de expedición), y para quienes soliciten auxiliares auditivos y lentes de armazón tienen que acudir personalmente el día de la jornada. En caso de ser menor de edad, podrá acudir en su representación el tutor o tutora del beneficiario junto con la documentación solicitada; para los aparatos de movilidad, el trámite lo podrá realizar el beneficiario o un familiar directo.
