PARAMOUNT PLUS KNUCKLES WOOOOOOOOO

Spoilers obviously!

Episode 1 thoughts: writing is kind of annoying, and I don't think I like this version of Knuckles that much - his proper arc in the movie was good but divorced from that context this is basically just idiot meathead Knuckles pushed in another direction entirely. Wade isn't funny or entertaining. Sonic's model looks worse than it did before, the forehead wrinkles are so offputting. I feel like they fucked their own lore weirdly - the second movie showed the literal founding of G.U.N. in this continuity and yet their headquarters are based in London and they're apparently already big enough to have double-agents within them working to support criminals. G.U.N. just didn't feel like such a big thing in the second movie is all, but now they are with no fanfare. Also they've acquired both warp rings and Knuckles' quills from ???? so hmmm. I'm definitely approaching this too much as an adult out to nitpick rather than remembering that this is for kids and it doesn't matter when G.U.N. became so prominent or how and when they got their hands on X macguffin, but idk I feel like the first 2 movies were paying some degree of attention to stuff like that so this just sticks out to me.

Episode 2 thoughts: actually not just Wade but I think nobody is funny or really all that entertaining to watch. I don't think the Sonic movies are great or anything but this feels aggressively like we're just going through the motions. I need a hero scene was kind of torture. I appreciate Knuckles gliding anyway since that's one of those things that's acknowledged surprisingly little despite being a core part of his gameplay in every playable appearance he's had.

Episode 3 thoughts: my favourite so far on the sheer absurdity of a lonely Jewish mother whose husband left the family and whose kids hate each other finding solace and comfort in Knuckles the Echidna and teaching him about Judaism

Episode 4 thoughts: absolutely indescribable experience. felt like a high budget fan parody. I was juggling so many feelings through my head while watching, reaching each end of the quality spectrum - this is both incredibly kino and also one of the worst things to ever grace the Sonic franchise. one must actively sever any interest in pretending this is something that should be taken seriously in order to enjoy it, although in doing so one must also acknowledge that the Knuckles show on paramount plus is now but a joke. the same Sonic movie franchise that rejuvenated public interest in the franchise has also birthed unto us a mockery of everything the series has ever stood for. Wade Whipple stole a kid's bicycle and chopped off a man's ponytail with a katana before then forcing that man to undress.

Episode 5 thoughts: this is straight up more enjoyable when consumed as a bizarre and surreal anthology but with a continual plot wherein the anthology part of it is just what is gonna be the directorial fetish of the episode. in this case it's several instances of shots being split across comic-style panelling or the same frame repeated in grid-patterns across the screen, things like that. that type of shot for bowling for 10 minutes and then a heartwarming emotional reunion with an estranged father turned heartwrenching as Jewish mother recounts the fact that he hurt us before and he's going to do it again. I almost forgot I was watching a Sonic the Hedgehog show until the bad guys showed up and reminded us that Knuckles the Echidna does actually exist in the show named after him. I'm starting to think this show is seriously worth watching entirely because it's so ludicrously detached from its source material and absurd in everything else it chooses to depict. The dialogue is so unnatural it's hilarious. Everybody has a certain voice they're doing for the camera and it's all super exaggerated. Wade actually betrays Knuckles in the end and I'm about to watch the last episode to see what happens.

Episode 6 thoughts: I think this show is incredible

Overall thoughts!

I don't even know how to succintly put into words how much fun I was having with this by the end. And I do mean by the end - you can see the progression of my enjoyment after each episode in this post itself - but it really is kind of slow and annoying to start until it eventually reaches such a level of absurdity that I turned off Sonic fan brain and turned on "I want to laugh at batshit insane media" brain. Once it got to that point though I was so fucking invested that I was feeling everything. I wanted Wade to start throwing bowling balls at the buyer so fucking bad and he did. The electric guitar kicking in when Knuckles powered back up and became the flames of disaster or whatever was the most excited I've been watching anything in a while. The juxtaposition between a serious emotional tale about broken families and standing up against those who have hurt you versus Wade Whipple in a Knuckles costume having a musical performed at him about the strength of the heart or whatever is immaculate.

I feel like this show was greenlit and allocated a budget before they actually decided anything they wanted to do with it so they just wrote some vague story outline and handed each episode off to a different director to see what they could come up with. The few who played it a little more safe, kid's action show type thing, didn't really offer much. But the ones who decided to have fun with it and just not even care about the source material, those are the ones that turned out really fun.

I will acknowledge right now obviously that none of that is exactly praise from the lens of a Sonic fan. This isn't good at being Sonic in any way, it's not even good at being part of the separate and standalone Sonic movie continuity either. Calling it disrespectful to the source material is an understatement and even the times where it decides to pull from what it's adapting you get absolutely bizarre errors like the Flames of Disaster being singularly attributed to Knuckles just for the hell of it. This should not be thought of as a serious attempt at telling a story within any Sonic the Hedgehog setting. This is a high budget parody that, through circumstances we'll never quite know, is also an officially licensed and endorsed Sonic the Hedgehog product. It's the worst Sonic adaptation ever. It's also so fucking entertaining and I would honestly recommend it to just about anyone. I'm literally already lining up a rewatch with some friends. It's so fucking fun. Like there's an element of irony and there's an element of so bad it's good and perhaps all of this is birthed by that and me being in a state of "I just finished something absurd and need to process it so I'm just yelling" but as a lifelong diehard Sonic fan who yearns for nothing more than good quality Sonic content I had more actual fun with this than almost any other Sonic adaptation period. This shit, my friends, is kino. And Wade Whipple is my new favourite Sonic character.

Beatrice remembers that as a child, her nonna used to make these “scent baggies’ as she liked to call it: she’d put try flowers and maybe scented wax and spices inside a small baggie - about the size of the tip of her thumb- and would keep it in certain areas of her house like drawers, wardrobes, even the bathroom.

It’s something she also gifted people with, something that would ward off evil spirits and make whatever it touched smell good. She remembers how it lasted for months and the smell remained for almost a year in certain places, there were areas in her parents’ house that still smelled like daisies.

Her favorite one was, obviously, lavender. She’d have two: one for her wardrobe and one for her backpack. It brought a sense of comfort,especially after her nonna passed away and she wondered if she could do something like that for Rooster. He said he liked how she smelled and he missed her a lot while he was gone…could she do that? Would that be legal?

It’s not like it was drugs. It was just a tiny thing with pressed flowers. Shells noticed her friend looked way too worried, more than normal, and lowered the box of supplies she was carrying to watch Bea sweep the same spot on the bar at least twice, “Ahem.” the brunette blinks, looking up at the other woman, “What’s gotten you extra sweeping today?”

“I’m just thinking.”

“Yes,” Shells smirks, crossing her arms, “I know, that’s why I’m asking,babes. What are you thinking about?”

Beatrice parts her lips to explain, then leans the broom against the wall as she turns to Shells, “I want to give Roos something, something small that he can take with when he’s gone and…you know it’ll remind him of me.”

“Your underwear?”

‘My under-NO!” Shells cackling was loud enough that people outside the bar could hear it, thankfully her aunt left for a bit or else Beatrice would die. Her cheeks turned bright red and she glared at the blonde, “No, not my underwear. Something small and,you know, that he can put in his things or his pocket if he misses me. I gave him my ring once, but I don’t know, I could add something else. And my nonna used to make these um…these tiny baggies with dried flowers and herbs that made everything smell amazing.”

Shells arches her eyebrows with her lips pursed, “Nice, and you plan on doing that?”

“...maybe, I don’t know, is that even legal?”

“I mean…unless you are planning on using the good ol’ Mary Jane, I don’t think it’s illegal, Bea.” the blonde crosses her arms with a smile, leaning her back against the bar counter, “I mean, I don’t think it is, never heard of someone being kicked out of the Navy because of fucking flowers.”

Beatrice lets out a worried noise and bites her lower lip repeatedly, “I just don’t want to get him into trouble.” she explains, “You know? It’s just…something.” Beatrice sighs, flopping down on the stool with her legs dangling, “I don’t know, maybe I should get him a keychain or something.”

Shells hums, walking closer to her friend and sitting down on the stool next to hers, “Well why don’t you make it a keychain?” Beatrice blinks up at her with confusion, “Think about it, he can dangle it over his bags and such, then he could put it inside if he worries it’ll rip or something, you know?”

She had a point, Beatrice hums while thinking about it and then chews the inside of her cheek “Maybe you are right,” she ignored Shells’ “obviously “ and stood to her feet “I just need some help from my aunt, she knows how to make these…scent baggies better than I do, so I might show up later…do you want to come with?”

Shells leaned on her elbow, looking at Beatrice before turning to look at her phone “Well we’ll be done here in about fifteen minutes so we wait for aunt Penny to come back and then we can go, I think I just met your aunt at the wedding, is she the really tall one that looks like Demi Moore?”

“Oh she’ll love that you said that,” Beatrice giggles “But yes, that’s her. She might have some ideas I can use, she knows so much about nature and whatnot.” She did feel a bit more at peace after that conversation, her heart feeling lighter and her smile no longer nervous.

It doesn’t take too long for Penny to come back, and since the bar was already clean all the girl had to do was tell her where they were going and they wouldn’t take too long, after all it was just a chat with her aunt, just to know some instructions. And she had a feeling, since Shells had no idea where her aunt lived that she’d be a bit starstruck about it.

She knew her aunt had some money but Bea didn’t tell Shells what she did exactly because she knew her friend would be…intense once she found out about it. Hence why when they arrived at Martha’s gated community, Shells was already looking around with amazement.

“Wait, your aunt lives here?”

“Well, yeah!”

“Why wasn’t I never told???”

Beatrice opens her mouth, then closes and offers her friend a shrug, “Oh I just…I didn’t want you to freak out too much,” more than normal that is. And the blonde woman just stared at Beatrice in pure disbelief, leaning back on her seat and looking out at the immense houses with beautiful Halloween decorations hanging from the roof and on their front yards.

She does a few turns until she finally reaches her aunt’s house, not being able to hold back her smile at Shells’ “Holy shit! Look at the size of this place!”

“Shells, come on.”

Shells just makes a series of noises, gesturing to the huge house once they step out of the jeep, “I mean, what do you want me to do? Look at this!! It’s huge!” the blonde was too busy admiring the whole structure to notice she almost stepped on Martha’s garden and Beatrice gently held her by the crook of her elbow, pulling her back with a small grin.

Yep, definitely awestruck.

Beatrice takes in a deep breath, about to ring the doorbell only for her aunt to open it with a smile on her face, ‘Hello Beatrice, and Michelle.” she says, “Come on in,I have iced tea in the fridge.” both women stare at Martha’s retreating back as she walks deeper into the house, looks back at them then spreads an arm as if to say they should get inside.

Shells is tugged inside by her brunette friend, who also closes the door behind them. Once they are inside, she lets go of Shells’ arm and the blonde tilts her head back, turning her body in a full circle to take everything from the house in, “Holy shit.” is whispered yet again. Beatrice thinks Shells will be okay by now, so she takes the time to talk to her aunt.

Surprisingly, her dog isn’t at home, yapping about at the newcomers, but like always her aunt answers her unasked question once she enters the kitchen, “Luna took him for a walk with the kids.” she explains, pouring iced tea in tall glasses, garnishing them with peppermint leaves, “They’ll be back later, now,” she turns, holding both glasses up with a grin, “Thirsty?”

“Oh, uh, yea, thanks auntie.” she turns to Shells after grabbing her glass, then turns back around to her aunt,”Shells…she’s going to take a while.”

“Is that Madonna??!”

Martha smiles kindly when she hears Shells’ voice, reassuring her niece it’d be fine, “Is there a reason you came over, dear? I hope your married life has been treating you well.”

“Oh,no no, it is.” Beatrice says with a smile, following her aunt in the kitchen as she pours some tea for herself, pouring a generous amount of honey inside. “I just…uh, do you remember the baggies nonna used to make? With the flowers?”

“I do, yes.”

“Do you know how to make them?”

Martha lowers her iced tea to give her niece a small smile, one that just screamed ‘I know why you want this.’ before she leans her arm on the kitchen counter, “I do, what sort of flowers are you thinking of?”

Beatrice pursed her lips in thought, then shrugs, “Uh…lavender mostly? I mean, I’d want to have them done this weekend so Roos can take it with him once he leaves? But I don’t know if it’ll be enough to dry them all.”

Martha, who once again smiled like the witch who was ready to cure all the ailments you’d have if you lived in the 16th century, just looked at her backyard, “I have a drying station, Beatrice.” she says, “Sometimes, we experiment with some dry herbs with the wine and that’s how I do it.”

Of course she did. “Oh.” Beatrice laughs softly, “Okay. So…um…can you help me?”

“Of course, follow me, Bea.” she makes her way to the double doors, only to stop and look back at where Shells was, “Will your friend be okay?”

Beatrice faces Shells again, the blonde is too busy checking the record collection hanging on the wall, then the many pictures of celebrities who enjoyed her aunt’s wine with her mouth hanging open, “Yeah, she’ll be fine.” she says and both finally leave the kitchen, “She’s just a bit…surprised I guess.”

Martha grins, lifting the ends of her dress to kick off her sandals, “Take off your shoes, preziosa, enjoy the grass.” Beatrice blinks but kicks off her sneakers and socks, letting out a soft yelp when the cold grass touches the soles of her feet, following her aunt down to a small guest house they had out in the poolside. Usually, people used these houses as a guest room or at best somewhere they can put random things in, but her aunt was always full of surprises.

There were several flowers and herbs on racks and on top of tables right outside the guest house and the smell was incredible. Beatrice looked with pure amazement at the now dehydrated flowers that still held some of the vibrance from when they were fresh, she didn’t know how her aunt did it, but again she was basically a witch. “Now,” Martha begins,”What would this trinket be used for?”

“Protection,” she says immediately, “And strength, calmness too.”

Martha takes in her words, looking back at the flowers she had on and then smiles, “And his birthday month is June, correct?” Beatrice nods, “Ah, rose and honeysuckle. Love and pure happiness.”

Beatrice had no idea those were his month flowers but they made so much sense to her. “Yeah…” she smiles shyly, turning the wedding band on her finger with her cheeks turning red, “I…I am open for more options, auntie. If you have any.”

“Mmm…” Martha hovers her hands over each herb and flower, letting out an ‘aha!’ when she finds something, “Malva flower, for extra protection. I know you worry about him when he’s away and it wouldn’t hurt.” Beatrice only nods with the same smile, “Now, I cannot do this, the intention is yours, so, you must pick every herb and flower for him. There is fabric inside the top drawers of this table if you need it.”

Beatrice sets the iced tea aside, wiping her damp hands on the soft fabric of her shorts before stepping in front of the table, “I don’t want it being too big, auntie. I want him to have it as a keychain of some sort, you know?”

“Then you must choose the small ones, preziosa. Do take your time, I’ll check on your friend while you are busy.”

“Oh!Okay!” Beatrice turns her head to watch her aunt walk back up to the house with the wind moving her long dress. The breeze wafted more of the fragrances surrounding her, the windchimes dangling by the corner of the guest house tinkled serenely and Beatrice looked down at her options, moving her eyes at every little flower and leaf, trying to focus on what she wanted.

Beatrice chewed her lower lip, grabbing a bit of everything: lavender, honeysuckle,malva flowers and rose petals. While arranging the little baggie, she immediately stopped moving, hovering her hands above the dry plants with her brows furrowed, “...what if he thinks it’s weird?” he hadn’t yet, but what if this was the point he wouldn’t handle? What if he could handle the unborn child voices but the flowers for protection.

She clenched her eyes, hating how every time she’d want to do something for him she’d have second thoughts, she’d always worry that this would be the moment he’d notice her family is just crazy and will back away…and yet…he had proven time and time again he didn’t. He didn’t leave, he endured whatever brand of weird her family is and he did not mind it, not at all.

But Beatrice was still unsure, “I don’t even know if he can have these.” she says to no one but the flowers on the table, tapping her fingernails on the dark wood as she sighed, dropping her weight to her elbows so they could support her face as she rubbed it up and down with her hands, interlacing her fingers in front of her mouth. She looked down at the flowers, the tiny dried flowers that smelled amazing and she frowned the more she thought about it, “What if people make fun of him? What if they just…don’t get it?...I-I I shouldn’t do this, it’s weird.”

But she didn’t step away, she just bit her lower lip harder, groaning against her palms and hitting her forehead against her fingers gently, “I fucking hate this.” she tried to hold back the insults she’d throw at herself for still having these thoughts, still worrying that she wasn’t good enough, “We’re married, god damn it.” she growls, hitting the table gently with her fist and then throwing her head back with a loud sigh, “I shouldn’t feel like this, it’s like I don’t trust Rooster. Which I do, I trust him so much. I love him! And…” she frowns, “And I’m talking to myself again, expecting the wind to bring me an answer.”

A soft breeze touched her arm but she ignored it, “...I just want to show him how much I care, that’s all…maybe…maybe I’ll keep this hidden, yeah, okay, I’ll keep this hidden and then on Sunday I’ll bring it up, if he doesn’t want it or it’s not legal, that’s fine! That’s totally fine!” she puts every tiny piece of flower inside a thin fabric, the scent already getting even more prominent as she folds it into a small square, tying it tightly with a thin cord at least twice so it wouldn’t break apart.

She moves it a bit, then spins it to check if she tied it tight enough. Thankfully, she did because nothing seemed out of place or flew off when she did so. The smell was amazing, she couldn’t help but bring the small package to her nose to take a whiff, smiling with her eyes fluttering closed, “I think this is good enough.” she whispers, holding the tiny square with both hands, “...I hope I’m not being weird again.” and Beatrice keeps it in her hand as she walks back up to the house, not daring to put it in her pocket so it breaks apart.

Beatrice hears noise from inside, something that weirdly reminded her of crying and her brows furrow, speeding up her step until she reached the glass doors, wiping her feet on the colorful rug her aunt had outside to not bring a trail of grass inside the house. She furrowed her brows even more when she noticed that the person crying was no one other than Shells.

She finally stepped in, her quick steps leading her to where the crying got louder and Beatrice stopped a few feet away, eyes wide, when she sees Shells holding something in her arms, “What’s going on??!”

Shells, who looked like she’s been crying for hours, can’t come up with a full sentence, so her aunt who appeared as if out of thin air by Beatrice’s side, explained, “I offered your friend a Kylie Minogue VIP ticket, she’s going to have a concert by the end of the month and I don’t plan on doing, so I thought she’d like that.”

“...oh.” Shells is still crying, “Auntie, you didn’t have to-”

“Shush!! Don’t ruin this for me,Bea!”

Beatrice closes her mouth because she knows how much Kylie meant to Shells, so she just accepted it in silence, “Okay. Um…thanks auntie,” Martha just grins, her eyes moving to the tiny square she had dangling from her fingers, “Oh, ah, I finished it.”

“So I see.” Martha smiles, clasping her hands together in front of her stomach, “And you still look doubtful about it.”

How does she do this?!

“Um…a little I guess, I– can we talk in your kitchen? Shells I’ll be right back just…” her friend moved her teary eyes to her, hiccuping in response, “Uh, stay…here.” and Beatrice hurried back into the kitchen with her aunt not far behind, Martha’s smile just widened as her niece held the tiny flower baggie in her hands.

The only sound they could hear were the birds chirping outside and Shells’ sniffles coming from the living room as Beatrice tries to voice her worries, opening her mouth to finally explain after minutes of silence only for her aunt to say, “He loves you.” she cuts her niece off with a serene smile, “He loves you more than you know.”

“I–...how do you–”

“He will like it.” Martha steps closer, holding the tiny flower square between her fingers and then placing it into Beatrice’s palm, curling her fingers over it, “He will treasure it. Like anything that you do for him, preziosa.”

“What if–” her aunt just touches her cheek, gives her a small smile and leans closer to peck her forehead, “...okay. Thank you zia. I better um…go now and take care of Shells before she floods your house.”

Cue to the blonde’s crying getting even louder.

When Rooster comes home she’s sitting on the couch with her legs crossed by the ankles and a sleepy Jolene immediately standing to her four legs to greet him by the door. Beatrice smiles, hearing his voice baby talking the pitbull and his footsteps approaching the living room, stopping by the doorframe.

She turns her head to meet his gaze, then stands to her full height as well, approaching him with a huge grin, “Hi,” she coos, draping her arms around his neck, pressing a soft kiss to his lips, “How was your day?”

“Tiring, a lot of paperwork, been missing you most of it.” he smirks, “The usual. How about you?”

“Oh, well,” she shrugs,”Helped around the bar, and then…visited my aunt for a bit.” she chews her lower lip, “I…have something to give you.”

“Oh?”

“Yeah, but…okay,I better do it before I chicken out again.” her voice gets fainter the more she walks away from him, leaving her tall husband furrowing his eyebrows as she disappears into the kitchen only to come back with her hands folded on top of her chest, eyes wide and filled with worry “...my nonna used to um…make these little things, I call them baggies but,I have no idea what they are called, for you know, her family and loved ones.”

She reveals the tiny square, wrapped tightly with a thin cord but he could see the faint colors of flowers and leaves pressed inside of it. And he could smell the lavender already, with hints of the other plants mixed in, “And, my aunt knows how to do it and I wanted to– I mean…I…I know my family is weird, Roos.” his brows furrow again, and he recoils in surprise, “I know…they are unusual, and a bit cryptic with some stuff and I know I joke about how some of my family being witches and whatnot but– w-what I’m trying to say is…I did this, for you.”

She offers him the little trinket and he could see she’s shaking. The thin string wobbles we she tries to keep her hold steady, “It has lavender, roses, honeysuckles and malva flowers. It’s for you to remember me by and for um…protection….I don’t know if you can have this, I can just give you my ring and you know, let that happen-”

“Bea.”

“--but I-I really thought about it because you said you loved how I smelled like lavender and a hair tie isn’t going to help and I thought why not do this, but you don’t have to take it if it’s illegal or if it’s…I-I don’t know, not what you can have, or if you don’t want to!That’s fine!”

“Bea.”

“Because I don’t want to force you to have–” and he kisses her lips to stop her rambling, pulling back with a soft smack and leaving Bea with her lips pursed in surprise. He cups her trembling hands in his own, rubbing her palms with his thumbs, surrounding the tiny square.

“...you made this for me?” she nods after the shock passes, chewing her lower lip “...fuck,Bea-”

“It’s weird, I know-”

“It’s fucking amazing.” he says immediately, making his wife’s green eyes turn up to his almost guiltily, “You did this for me. Fuck, baby…of course I want it. Of course I do. Are you kidding? And it smells great. Everyone will be fucking jealous of me.”

“...are you serious?”

Rooster’s eyes softened, “I’m always serious when it comes to you, gorgeous.” he reassures her and the goblin voice that growled in her brain slowly slithered back to the deepest parts of her mind, leaving only his voice. “Hey, remember when we stood in front of each other, recited vows and cried a lot? Remember when I slid the ring on your finger?” her cheeks redden but she nods, “It’s for life, baby.”

And Beatrice had to hold back the soft gasp and the tears that brimmed on her eyelids, only letting out a soft laugh with her eyes on him, “...okay.” she whispers, placing the tiny fragrant packet in his hand, watching how tiny it looked. Even tinier when he picked it up and brought it to his nose, “I…I’m glad you like it.”

“I love it.” he turned it in his hands, his smile broadening, “It’s incredible, thank you for this, gorgeous. I’ll make sure to keep it safe.”

Beatrice’s heart fluttered even more over his words, her cheeks warming to the point she could probably boil water on them but she was happy and relieved “I know Roos. Um,” she clears her throat, “I’m going to take a shower, so we can go to the bar.”

“I’ll go later.” she walks around him but he holds her wrist, stopping her, “Hey, I love you, pretty girl.”

Beatrice’s soft gasp leaves with another laugh, her eyes shining, “...I love you too,Roos.” and he slowly lets go of her hand so she could go ahead, fingers gently tracing her palms and a wave of warmth darting from them.

Your role in the Ministry is...Session musician for Papa Emeritus III

Basically if they need someone to play an ocarina or a french horn on a track they call you.

You explained to Terzo you'd rather stay home which he totally respects and he says he needs your talents in the studio anyway.

You get plenty of time to hang around with the Ghouls as well. Mountain is enjoying having another drummer around. You two have kinda formed your own little gang and sit tapping out drum beats or chatting and so on.

You get plenty of time to read fanfiction, but if Swiss catches you he'll come and sit beside you and read over your shoulder. Then he will start acting the fanfic out in the most over dramatic fashion. It's hilarious and he does it because he loves it when you laugh. If you asked him to stop he would he just likes acting it out.

One time Swiss sees you are too tired and struggling to read. So he sits with letting you rest your head on his shoulder and he reads the fanfic to you.

Mountain then joined you both followed by the others. If the fanfic is about anyone in Ghost they do make the odd joke. They enjoy hearing all the stories about them, but you are careful what you read with them all around.

You are one of the Ghouls and they look out for you as you look out for them.

Terzo once over heard a fanfic about him and he smiles to himself. He walks straight up to you and with a totally straight face asks if you want to live it for real. He's only half joking, testing the waters, if you say yes he'll happily honour it, if you say no he'll just grin and make it out to be a joke and say "Of course not, Papa has err way more tricks up his sleeve than they can write."

🎮 Jet Fletcher 👥 is the typical leader of the group, appoints himself as such, will make sure to push the work into perfection so everyone who rightfully contributed to it gets a perfect grade. He is very strict and expects everyone to do their best. If there's a missing link there, someone who refuses to work, he will give them two tries before notifying the teacher that the teammate did nothing/the bare minimum and doesn't deserve the same grade.

Due to this, Jet does better with people who can take orders or with leaders that don't mind becoming part of the "followers" to someone else. People that have brains to them or unparalleled drive to do good and learn.

Twst characters he would do well with in a group project: Jack Howl, Sebek Zigvolt, Deuce Spade (bc of his drive to be a honors student), Riddle Rosehearts, Jamil Viper, Kalim Al-Asim (due to his enthusiasm to learn), Trey Clover, Vil Shcoenheit

🖋 Zion Oum 🖤 is very introverted, he does best as an order follower than the leader that organizes the group. Ideally, Zion prefers groups composed of his friends or friendly acquaintances so he isn't forced to interact and talk with others he doesn't know. If needed be, he can take on the position of leader/team representative. Of course, Oum would like to be in teams where everyone carries their own weight. He doesn't stand lazy students that do shit. His way of "calling out" these useless student to the teacher is not adding them to the project cover and adding a note at the end of the project to notify of the situation.

Zion does better with people who are outspoken, friendly and respect his boundaries, and that carry out the project to their best capabilities. They don't need to get a perfect score, he's content with having everyone in the team do their best efforts.

Twst boys he'd do well with: Deuce Spade, Jack Howl, Epel Felmier, Ortho Shroud, Ruggie Bucchi, Idia Shroud, Silver, Lilia Vanrouge

🔮 Tzuriel 🌟 is an elusive little fellow... They can definitely take the rule of leader, but that's too time consuming and a big responsibility~ Won't you do it better than him~? They're certain you will! If push comes to shove (aka it's one/two days before deadline), then they'll put on those big boy pants and order everyone around.

If there's dead weight in their team, they will very much kick them out of the team's group chat before taking screens of the convos to have evidence of their uncooperative ass to show to the teacher. Tzu is a drama lover and is NOT AFRAID AT ALL of standing up for the hardworking teammates. Square up, Tzu's ready to yell at your face with all his sass, THEY WILL ROAST YOU in front of the entire class

However, there's an easy way to "win" their favor.... Pay up, be it with money or high end beauty products, and they'll add you back into the project without objections. OH! Yeah, pay EVERY hardworking teammate what they desire. Until everyone gets their pay, you'll be added back no sweat

Tzuriel does better with earnest peeps that can pull their weight; friends, acquaintances, unknown people, he does well with everyone. Like Zion, the work doesn't need to be perfect, but Tzu does the finishing edits and additions to make it very damn near perfect. If you want a good grade, but don't wanna work and have the money to waste, join their team and simply give the pay everyone involved desires. You won't be disappointed by the resulting grade

Twst boys he'd do well with: Ace Trappola, Ruggie Bucchi, Leona Kingscholar (guess who paid the price~), Kalim Al-Asim, Azul Ashengrotto (there's a lot of jabs at each other), Cater Diamond, Lilia Vanrouge

🔴 Mikhail 👁‍🗨.... hmm.... He prefers doing the work by his own accords. Doesn't want or need others to pull him down when he can do everything 10x better than with any potential teammates. He's quite smart, but there are some subjects that just... scramble his brain badly. It's only in those classes that I can see him trying to join the team he was assigned on/was leftover to join (damn my heart broke writing the 'leftover'). Will be very straight to the point and explain he's no good with these topics, but he will try.

May the Seven forbid him from joining a team full of lazy students in these difficult subjects... He will try to do all the work himself, keep only his name on the cover. If difficulties arise, Mikha calls up Helios for help (and sometimes Helios extends a formal card to the teacher explaining his brother's difficulties and asking for an extension)

So, Mikha prefers working alone and veeery rarely relies on the team he's on. If no one wants to work, he'll do his own personal project with the help of his brother if he finds it too difficult to understand. Ideally, Mikha would need teammates that are patient, smart, good at explaining, but have firm authority over him to wash away any ideas of reveling from his mind (aka Helios 2.0).

Twst boys he'd do well with: Sebek Zigvolt (booming voice definitely tones Mikha down), Riddle Rosehearts (angry small, very smart and disciplined, a leader he's willing to follow), Azul Ashengrotto, Jade Leech (too eerie to cross), Jamil Viper (poat chapter 4), Vil Schoenheit, Rook Hunt (intimidating as is to ever think of disobeying)

2) OC Flying Capabilities

~ Garden's Bounty ~

Best at flying: Xeron Bhatt 🌺

Worst at flying (on broom): Thais Adamante 🐐

🌼 Thais 🐐 is no good when handed a broom. She struggles to keep her balance. Being more aware of the height sitting down like that prickles her slight fear of heights, sometimes makes her dizzy.

She has others means of flying that require no broom, does LEAGUES better with such means (still deciding if Vargas allows her to use this method or not)

She calls it "going with the wind", a skill commonly taught to kids back in her hometown to travel fast between isles. A gust is summoned or utilized to have it carry her off to wherever she needs to go. Since her forte is plant magic, there will often be leaves, petals, or stray flowers in her winds to ground her magic better.

Broom skills: horrible

Pose on broom: I'd say like Riddle's, just more trembly and with a very tight grip on the stick

Going with the wind skills: perfect

Pose in the wind: looks as if she were standing, surrounded by swirling gusts (more less like Ortho's take off pose)

~ ~

🐇 Blake's ❤ skills are okay, nothing too notorious or flashy. Average flying skills, he sits as one normally does on a broom, but tends to lean forward. The leaning leads to struggles when taking off and gaining speed. Reflexes are on point, though Holds his ground (or shall I say air?) well

Overall: average skills, nice reflexes; with practice he can get better

Pose on broom: similar to Deuce's

🌫 Sei 💜 is the risktaker of the group, go figure. He deosn't sit, his broom isn't even in a horizontal position. No no, he goes VERTICAL, loosely hugs the broom like a sloth And you know what? It works very well for him! His skills are marvelous!

Just don't make/let him go too high up because the bright sunlight hurts his eyes and breaks his concentration. If he wants to go high, only at night

Overall: great skills, wack flying style

Pose on broom: vertical broom with a Sei hugging it like a koala does a trunk

💥 Xeron 🌺 is the best flyer of this group. Steady flying, perfect posture, sharp reflexes, and decent speed. Xe applies the same outlook to flying as he does to horse riding: respect your steed and have mutual trust, everything will go smoothly afterwards. This boy very much treats his broom like a horse.

Although he has the skills to, Xeron prefers not to practice risky maneuvers and flashy tricks. Flying is a discipline and a means of transportation to him, not something to be stupid with.... but maybe this mentality could change later on~ (c'mon, fae~ losen up a bit! "Not everything in life merits seriousness," as your guardian said)

Overall: wonderful flying skills; teach him how to have fun

Pose on broom: very similar to Silver's, I'd say

Best at flying: Koron

Could do better: Tzuriel

Honestly, everyone from this group is a decent pilot!

🌑 Koron 🔥 is all about the SPEED!!! He's a sporty guy that likes his freedom (what, if not flying and feeling the breeze in your hair, gives a greater sense of freedom?), and is a thrill seeker. Not to mention, Magift was one of the things he loved and enjoyed the most.

Steady flyer, sharp reflexes, easily gains speed, makes flying seem easy with how relaxed and cool he looks. K-Boy likes to do tricks, loops, drops, races, everything (omg he tries so hard to be the cool senpai)! Flying is simply the best~

I will say, however, Koron's flying skills are more suited for sports rather than transportation or racing

With the help of Zion and other dorm members, he'll build a broom that utilizes his UM to zoom around everywhere!

Overall: perfect skills with a dash of cool flashiness. Could use some awareness of injury though, he's too reckless

Pose on broom: changes depending on what he wants to do. Sometimes he stands on it like a skateboard, sometimes he sits all pretty, others like one normally sits, and there are times where he hangs off the thing

~ ~

🎮 Jet 👥 is the runner up to Koron (he likes to call himself Koron's protege). Nice balance, good reflexes, can do a couple tricks, but what stands out is his ability to steadily and gradually gain speed and height. He developed his own technique to basically not end up exhausted and nauseous when doing this. Steady and in the perfect balance of slow enough for his body to process the change, and speedy enough to outrun opponents

His flying style is more suited for long distance races, or idk... some competition of who can fly the highest without passing out asadffd (forgive me i know nothing about sports)

Overall: great skills, unparalleled stamina and endurance for long flies

Pose on broom: similar to Sebek's; lays almost flat over the stick when going at his top speed and height

~ ~

🖋 Zion 🖤 is probably the most suited for piloting a broom when someone else is traveling with him. He's also the best suited for racing (and escaping, if you ever need wings)

Nimble and light, Zi-Guy can make the narrowest turns and squeeze between obstacles with no difficulty. He isn't as efficient as Jet with his stamina for speed, but the burst he can muster is something to behold

Overall: good skills, needs some work on endurance

Pose: legs together on one side, leaning slightly forward and progressively leans more as he speeds up. If someone's flying with him, he sits normally

~ ~

Don't get me wrong, 🔮 Tzuriel 🌟 being pointed out as the "worst" of this group doesn't mean he can't fly or does a terrible job at it. Like I said in the beginning, everyone here makes a good pilot

The thing with Tzu is that they don't really... input much effort to flying. It's not something they're interested in, so why bother?

Average skills, decent reflexes, but nothing to exalt. They do like to try his hand with the occasional trick, mostly when someone accompanies them... yanno, for the lolz

Overall: Average skills, not interested in flying

Pose on broom: kinda like Zion, where their legs are both to one side and they can look all royal and elegant

~ Asshole Brigade ~

Best at flying: Izel

Worst at flying: Mikhail, Helios close behind

Rich Royal Dragon Boy... that should say it all (? 💠 Izel 🐲 does as he pleases with a little bit of bribe for the crow

He flies using his wings. Powerful things, I tell ya. Add to it that he's a wind dragon fae... yup, there's no one who can outdo him or compare to his skills

Pirouettes, speed, sharp turns and dodging moving obstacles, flying high, dips, drops, loops, rolls, he can do it all! He only puts on a show when he wants to impress someone or assert dominance over the skies ("My family crest doesn't say 'Rules of Skies' for nothing!")

He's still a great broom rider, though!

Simply put, the wind is his element, and no one's bond can compare to his

Overall: Best One Of Them All

Pose: I mean... however you imagine dragon humans/humanoids to fly? Similar to how angels fly

On broom: typical sitting position, sometimes in a sidesaddle position when he wants a calm ride or is in company of other royals

Ah, the most reckless-but-in-a-clam-way of all.... Vihaan

👑 Vihaan's 🧡 skills are average. He gets a passing grade and fulfills whatever exercises Vargas demands, that's enough skill, in his opinion. He has more importan things to focus that energy and effort to ("Like music!")

Sufficient enough to pass class, get him around places, and for a quick calming ride when he's in need of destressing

"But, Zack, you said he's reckless." Ad he is! If he's flying with a friend or someone he wants to chat up to get something, he will be in a playful mood. Meaning: Vihaan will attempt to do some tricks to impress or threaten the person. He also tends to get distracted when flying, breaking his concentration and having him pummel straight to the ground. He reacts fast, don't worry, it's just minor scratches

Overall: average skills; remaining focused on the task would help a lot

Pose on broom: both legs on top of the stick, crossed, he's leaning some ways back, one arm behind him as support (looks kinda like when you lean back and relax on one of those beach chairs, but with a hand back as support)

~ ~

Dear public, we've arrived to Disaster Land

⚫ Helios 👁‍🗨 isn't built for flying. He won't ride a broom unless it's one of the mechanical ones his family's conglomerate produces. Does not trust regular brooms AT ALL (shares a fear of heights with his brother lol)

How did he pass P.E. then, since he's a 4th year? He always carried a mini stabilizer and propulsor combo, hidden within the bristles of the broom. Little does he know, he can fly decently now, without the tech aid

Let's just say... he's more suited for piloting airships Like, seriously, he pilots them perfectly. Suddenly, that fear of his is gone

Overall: cheats, could be a decent pilot

Pose on broom: similar to Azul's, he kinda drapes himself on the stick and holds tight

Finally, Disaster Land founder himself

🔴 Mikha 👁‍🗨.... uuuh.... yeah....

just... yeah

He has a very notorious fear of heights he disguises with aggression Every time the broom (read as: his own self controlled magic) goes haywire and causes him to suddenly dip, he bites the freaking broom stick

Don't torture the poor guy, let him be

Overall: the most horrible flying skills. Actually, there's no skills in this one. Don't let him lift off, keep him on the ground

Pose on broom: deranged hugs the stick close to his chest, lays almost flat on it

🐐 Thais - "Oh dear, I'm so sorry! My apologies!" Will blush and apologize. She didn't mean to fall asleep there and inconvenience you! But she will be flattered, a tiny bit, that was a very kind gesture. "Say, what's your favorite flower, or fruit? Do you like honey?" Expect a small bouquet, fruit basket and/or jar of fresh honey from her home isle as thanks

🐇 Blake - "Ah, I did that? Hmm... Well, much obliged!" There will be a slight blush on his freckled cheeks (scratches one to try and mask the dusting of pink), ears droop down a little in embarrassment. He's thankful for what you did, will give back any way he can (homework aid, a blanket when they are sleeping in a random place, share his sweets, anything)

💜 Sei - "I was treated... like a princess! *cue his uneven chuckle*" I'm certain Sei woke up when he was being carried, but his mind was still heavy with sleep, probably ended up saying something ridiculous in this state. He's grateful! And will show it through food; be prepared to have a box worth of your favorite snacks to be left off at your doorstep, signed by "the light in the dark"

🌺 Xeron - "... thanks..." You can see steam coming off him as he bashfully delivers a very strained thanks. He's not looking you in the eye, either. My poor fae is very nervous, and surprised you managed to lift him up and put him to bed. Count on him to return the same favor if he catches you sleeping somewhere strange (you may also be offered a small plate of your fav food or bread)

~ End Of Line ~

🌑 Koron - "Oh... Really? That's embarrassing... Anyways, thanks, I appreciate it." He's quite embarrassed about it, would appreciate it if you didn't mention it to anyone. Regardless, what you did was nice. Next time he sees you struggling with something, Koron will lend a hand.

👥 Jet - "No you didn't. *walks away*" Yeah, this one, tough guy or so he says. He won't outwardly say his thanks, but he'll be giving you a hand next time... disguised as a "It's because you don't know how to do it." He's also prone to forgetting what you did if he doesn't know you well. 50/50 of getting a favor back or not

🖋 Zion - "My bad, haven't slept well, sorry. Is there something I can help with? A chore, homework? ...I'll find out, regardless." This one likes to help people, so they'll immediately ask what to do in return. He likes building machines to aid with daily chores, so you may receive one soon for the chore you most detest doing

🌟 Tzuriel - "Silly me~ Thank you, dearest. Hope those eyes remained where they should've." They're by far one of the least likely to be caught doing that, cares too much about their health and body to be so reckless and sleep somewhere random instead of a proper bed. The last comment is regarding the papers they had with them at the time, or about the last thing showed on his laptop's screen. Also the least likely to return the favor, but if he's feeling particularly kind, probably. You'll get visited by C4ST0R with the test answers or assignment you most needed

💠 Izel - "Yeah... I was there kinda on purpose. Thanks, I guess... How did you even carry me?" Izel does everything with a purpose, or so he says. If he was sleeping outside, it's because he put himself there for a nap. Doesn't take kindly to being woken up or having his napping plans disrupted. Won't return the favor, but may interrupt you nap in return c:

👑 Vihaan - "Oh? Oh, really? Ahaha, ah... Thank you, that was nice." He's a little embarrassed about it, but appreciates what you did. If you ever need some help, go to him! He will remember the deed and try to lend a hand as much he can. HEY GUYS!!!! (/・ω・)/ (New mini rule!!)

Hey guys so yeah my request are going to open soon. WOOOOOOOOO!!!! Hell yes. But! I have a new rule to introudence before opening it. Well it is not a big rule but a mini one. Ok so here is goes...

So when you request for reacting for all of the mercs. I would appreciate it if you added the top 1~3 characters/mercs you want to see. You see, sometimes I cannot do all 9 mercs. I also have a life and is not generally busy but not free all the time either. So um if you could put the 1~3 character that you defiantly want me to write about, that would be epic. Of course, you could leave it to me to choose too! So basically here how it would look like.

How the mercs heat patting you. (medic, sniper, scout)

Something like that. So like just adding the last (____) means that if you do not have time, I would love to see these characters done.

AND! Of course, you can request again with the same scenario but with different characters if you liked it (like a part 2 for example)! This is a pretty small rule but helps me stress out less with this little rule. It makes sure that I don't push my limit and overwork myself. So yeah it would be nice if you added the 3 mercs you would 100% like to see. I hope it makes sense. It really isn't a big deal. If you didn't do it, it doesn't really matter. But it's just a mini rule!

ALSO!!!! Please do not request too much. Like it's okay to request but not TOO much at once. So just don't send 10 in one go. You know? Just be mindful of others' options and my life/time. That is really my rule. These are just rules there for the request/asks box to stay open longer. I just don't wanna open and close it all the time. It is annoying for you and me. The Sixers Are Gonna Do This Bro!!!!

Yo dawg. This is happening, dawg.

Look, we’ve been in this phase of Sixers history since Embiid’s first full season as a starter, and for all that time and even before, there was one team we could not beat, could not solve, could not account for , and even at times didn’t belong on the court with.

In game 5, the most crucial game of the series, on Boston’s home court, we not only beat them, we forced thier starters to the bench with 3 minutes still to play in the 4th, because the score was a blowout.

This was Boston’s great wakeup call, and at no point, did anyone believe they could lose a decisive game at home by the kind of margin that they did.

Joel Embiid’s 3 to put the Sixers up by 17 with 8 minutes remaining in the 4th quarter, took the air out of TD Garden. All that cute s### came to a cease at that moment.

The whole idea that the Celtics are the better team is evaporating before our very eyes. They didn’t come close to making a come back. Maxey’s pull up 3 over Jayson Tatum with just under 4 minutes still remaining, sent their starters to the bench looking very meek while they were at it.

Celtics fans reportedly booed the home team off the court at the end of the game.

We hve waited for a statement game from Joel Embiid and this here was it.

33 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists and 4 blocks, and it needs to be said that for the most part Embiid carries our defense. It’s not something that is just starting in these playoffs the bailout for any perimeter guy that gets blown by is that Joel Embiid is in the paint and he’s a great shot blocker.

He seemed more decisive tonight, Charles Barkley on NBA On TNT after the game noted how Embiid “either shot it quickly or passed it”, not allowing Horford to use his leverage and bother him.

Zach Lowe of ESPN noted how this was probably the first time the Celtics were truly scared to play Joel Embiid. The league MVP 1000% had that energy for the C’s in game 5.

Tyrese Maxey is the most special young man in all of basketball.

I had literally given up hope that we were going to get a big game oout of him in this series, and he comes out and gives me 30 points, 7 rebounds and 3 assists, he was not bashful at all tonight, finally playing up to the level we know he is capable of and his performance was the catalyst and cherry on top of a collective Sixers performance that was just beautiful to witness.

He was absolutely fearless in game, I mean just attacking no matter who the switch is, made Marcus Smart go the wrong way several times, his last shot over Jasyon Tatum, no hesitation pull-up 3′s or going to the rim, he was incredible.

It was a lot of things in this game up anc including Tobias Harris’ best game of the season with 16 points, 11 rebounds and 1 assist, plus Doc River’s decision to paly Danuel House Jr over George Niang means he deserves his share of credit and recognizing the need for a more athletic guy in the lineup..

James Harden pitched in with a healthy 17 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists, he lived and did all his work at the freethorw line and again, the effect of that is how the Celtics can’t use thier athletecism in transition. I fully believe that Harden is not the problem with this team, even if we do have our problems.

Right now however, no team other then Golden State is in as much trouble as the Boston Celtics.

And now Boston Celtics, let me talk to you, playas.

Bro, do ya’ll really believe that you’re the better team, and if so then why?

Why do you believe that you’re better when you can’t stop Joel Embiid from routinely dropping 30+ points. How are you the better team when Marcus Smart and Derrick White are out here routinely selling games?

Do you realize that Al Horford put up 0 points tonight. Is that a sign that the Celtics are better?

Jayson Tatum put up the least efficients 36 point game you’ll ever see out of him but the real issue with Tatum’s inefficient shooting night is that Jalen Brown was a very efficient 9-16 from the field and had 24 points, and this here is the problem with Boston.

Why can’t the Celtics star players have the kind of shot distribution between the two of them that leads to wins, instead of awkward disparities and uncharacteristically passive performances out of either of them at the absolute most inopportune of times.

I’m telling you, that the most concerning thing about the Celtics offense is that Jayson and Jalen do not run enough 2-man-game and pick’n’roll action between the two of them.

Game 6 will be the biggest in the careers of their top stars and potentially a deciding game for the future of the Celtics as a franchise.

Her comment had earned her puzzled looks. “What do you mean?”

They cry, they scream, they’ll ask their gods the typical ‘why me?’ question in several desperate ways … How can you enjoy something over and over again that’s never really changing. I mean … don’t get me wrong, it’s fun and all for a few times, but doesn’t it get boring after a dozen or so?”

The devil had been scratching his nose. “Now that you mention it, it sure is getting that taste of ‘same old’ after some time.”

“Right? Have you ever tried doing the same with guilty people?”

“Never really thought about it. Most of the time they either get killed immediately or we use them as life stock for Kyouhukou’s children.”

“Shame. You should try to torture them for once.” The elder succubus had flashed the devil a mischievous grin. “Nothing beats them first trying to reason with you. Some even think they can threaten a demon. But once they realize that the very thing happening to them is by some means what they were asking the fates to hand them when they behaved the way they did … “ She had tried and failed to suppress a full body shudder of excitement. “… now then they start really begging for their lives. They plead; they whine … they would sell you their entire family if it meant they could get out of there alive and in one piece.”

Chuckling, the seventh floor guardian had rearranged his glasses. “I see the appeal there. The potential is seemingly endless.”
