This album slaps. It's got the vibes of Queen and Billy Joel whilst still having something uniquely Panic about it. I understand why some wouldn't like it but maybe try not shitting on other people for enjoying it? Music taste is subjective and individual. Hell, I can't stand BTS but I'm not gonna bash people for enjoying it, as long as they don't force me to listen to it, we're good!

I’m tired and delirious and maybe I can explain more thoughts later but… the Viva Las Vengeance music video had a lot of echoes of other stuff in it, primarily stuff from Dallon Weekes. I’m not super deep into the IDKHOW lore and I’ve only recently started listening to Brobecks, but I’ve seen a few videos and I know their basic theme.

So we’ve got the Razzmatazz colors. The 70s/80s vibes. That intro. I saw a white mask appear several times and immediately thought of our good friend The White Shadow. We’ve got the line about not wanting to kill the DJ (another tumblr post pointed this out) and the line about having his favorite song stolen was interesting.

So this could all be a stretch but I’m curious so if other have more knowledge of band lore than I do please tell me this could be fun.

Yeah, I rb'd some stuff on how I'm just . . . not the biggest fan of the new P!atd song by like, a long shot. It made me physically cringe and I just couldn't believe that I used to be a huge fan only 4-ish years ago. And I still stand by my old posts about not sending hate and all that, but I do have to say that the song has the classic, almost tasteless if you will, jokes Brendon does, which are either directed at the haters or Dallon, whichever you choose.

And I despise it so much. I'm not saying that Dallon is the all power musician and knows what music is, but he was at least a little more subtle with it with "The White Shadow" and music alluding to how the scene he was previously in just wasn't for him. It was subtle, the lyricism had it tied up in a bow for us to screw around with. Fine, music is an escape, everyone needs that.

Brendon's just feels weirder then because of the "cancel culture hate" (whether you believe it or not, the tweets and discussions still happened my guy), he just went on a huge hiatus and just released this song and again! Music is escape! But when you've got an ex-band member and old friend that just didn't vibe with the time there, stuff that old fans still believe about you, if music was the answer, that song was straight up silence to me, no discussion. Still not a fan anymore, I'll never get to liking them after the race stuff considering I'm black lmao amongst other things, but it kinda solidified my shift in viewing him and his music.

(I joined the fandom in the 2019 ME!/ Into The Unknown era) it was truly love at first listen. This song alone honestly made 2022 one of the greatest years ever for me. Thank you Panic!
