Hard Wood Log Farm

Hi there! Have you ever been fully stocked on all the wood... EXCEPT HARD WOOD?! Happens to me ALL the time, but fear not! I shall disclose to you a farming route that has been passed onto me by an ex-guildmate!

The route presented below will grant you around 30 hard wood logs every hour per character! The map is Sparkfly Fen, bottom right corner. The screenshot attached was from an exceptionally good map instance because I got almost 50 logs. While you wood farm, you can also get some platinum :)

As someone who has many alts, I have 4 alts in Sparkfly, each brings me usually those 30 logs, which makes it 120 logs per run, which is 40 wood planks. Now, similarly to the Elder Wood Log farm in Malchor's Leap, the trees respawn every hour. While you don't have a guarantee of landing on the same map as before, you will still get some sweet, sweet wood.

I'm in the mood to ramble about some of my OCs. Here are four of my Nightmare Courtiers: Deturavil, Lanisera, Kehydin, and Vyranaveld

(Long wall of text below~)

First is Deturavil, the Duke of Hounds. Deturavil is a kennel master and raised many loyal Nightmare hounds within the Court. He chose to join the Court, mainly cus he was following Lanisera. Deturavil oversees all the Court in Brisban WIldlands and was the one responsible for forming the alliance with the Separatists and Inquest there. In my story, Ebon Knight Cariaddar is one of his personal Knights who represented the Court. Deturavil eventually left the Court when most of his Courtiers deserted and went with the Toxic Alliance. He now travels around Tyria with his four main hounds: Murra, Vukedas, Irensi, and Vilek. I based Deturavil after the Devil's Trumpet flower (a datura huehue~)

Next is Lanisera. She's a Duchess who looked up to and followed Faolain at the start of the Court. Lani specialized in scouting and recruiting potential Courtiers. She acts as a mentor in the Grove and seeks out Dreamers who aren't satisfied with life in the Grove and are striving for more. She has converted Dreamers into Courtiers without force, as that is her main goal. She detests the use of Nightmare conversion pods, as (in my story) they tend to really, really derange the minds of Sylvari. She was even more opposed to the use of the conversion pods when her prodigy was put into one in order to save his life. Lani follows Faolain to the jungle and nearly got turned into a Mordrem. After the events of HoT, she allies herself with Duchess Chrysanthea and the two slowly rebuild whatever can be salvaged of the Court. I based Lanisera on the marigold flower

Now, Kehydin. He was a Warden and he once had an older podtwin by the name of Iredyne. They were both stationed at the Hamlet of Annwen and used to patrol the Wychmire Swamp to weed out Courtiers and cut down Trolls. However, one day they went to Brisban Wildlands to negotiate the release of captured Dreamers, and they got ambushed by Inquest. Kehydin's podtwin was presumed killed, and Kehydin returned to the Grove, seeking the Pale Tree for some guidance or answer as to why these events happened. He didn't get an answer from the Pale Tree, so he joined the Court to search for the one who sold out his patrol to the Inquest. Kehydin gets kinda messed up cus of his 'Dearheart' Vy, who messes up his mind and makes him lost in old reveries. He goes with the Court to the jungle and gets turned Mordrem against his will. His fate is unknown at this time I didn't base Kehydin on any plant. He was kinda made on the spot.

And lastly, Vyranaveld. Vy was a very kind and soft mender who Lani picked up and trained. He was her prodigy and she wanted to coax him into the Nightmare slowly, but some events happened and he was put into a conversion pod. He came out as an unhinged sadomasochist. He became the Count of Pains and oversaw the Brokenhope Court in Sparkfly Fen. He was Kehydin's 'Dearheart' in which he manipulates and messes with his mind every chance he gets. Along with messing with anyone else's mind when they're in his proximity. Vy stayed loyal to his mentor, Lanisera. Up until they went to the jungle and the Elder Dragon awakened. He didn't hesitate to embrace the dragon and became a Legendary Mordrem. He eventually gets put down by Commander Roaj, Aurenthir, and Malyck. I based Vyranaveld on (specifically red) wildflowers

Being that Chrys is a Priory Magister and Auri is a member of the Whispers, there have been times where they came looking for information while he's organizing, and Chrys takes one look at their outfit to determine whether or not Auri was getting pranked by their faction.

Example:

"Hey, Chrys, looking for information of [x] region in Sparkfly Fen."

"Sure, anything-" Chrysallus eyeballs Auri's outfit, which seems ridiculously out of character with the wild colors and general mamba vibe. "....anything in particular?"

"Rumors of Court activity in the area. Apparently, I'm to act as bait."

"... Mhm... well, bait is the only good reason for that outfit, I suppose. Though, why you have to look like a tie-dyed moa to get their attention seems unreasonable. They'll target anyone who's alone or outnumbered anyway."

"Are you telling me this is someone's idea of a joke?"

"If it is, I pity the fool who came up with it. Let me know how that goes, here's the information I have of the area."

Hiya! Thank you for the ask! :D For this, I'm gonna be doing a scenario for Maxwell Stoneworker in a dating sim. Should be interesting :eyes: Quick note: I'm making the player a human, but this could be interpreted as any race x Max. Just imagine you're a very short charr. lol Also, would like to apologize for how long this took me! Writing inspo comes and goes, so. Thank you for your patience!

👋 - meeting

You are wandering through Lion's Arch. You had recently heard of the Commander's exploits against Zhaitan, and you were itching to join her. You were on your way there now, but were a bit lost, so you made a quick stop in Lion's Arch for supplies and directions.

You felt prepared enough for this. You could take on a dragon's undead army. You could face a well-known hero.

You feel a force against your legs and you buckle, face planting into the ground. You groan, slowly lifting your head, and you hear giggles behind you. You look. A small Charr cub is what you see, their tail swinging back and forth playfully.

"Sorry, stranger!" They laugh, not sounding very sorry. "I was running from my papa and you were in my path. Kind of your fault, if you think about it."

"Rhys!" A new voice joins the frey, and you can only assume it's the cub's 'papa'. A strong paw lifts you off the ground, dusting you off. "I'm so sorry about him, he's still young and rambunctious."

"It's... quite alright." You say and you look up to meet his face. You pause. You're met with a Charr who towers over you, having to look down at you at an awkward angle. His fur is a light grey, highlighted by a white muzzle and underbelly. He smiles kindly, his large fangs glinting in the sunlight. It's an odd contrast to the heavy armor he has on. "Uh..."

He blinks at you, confused. He then seems to have a realization and laughs heartily.

"Oh! I apologize, my size must have startled you. Don't worry, I won't trample you." He teases, and you laugh in turn. "Ah, well, joking aside, I do apologize for my cub. Are you hurt?"

"No, no, I'm alright! Just a bit dusty now. No harm done."

"Good, good. Is there anything I can do to repay you? A drink...? Meal? GOLD?" He looks like he's panicking.

"Hey, none of that's necessary!" You say awkwardly, holding your hands up. "It's alright, really. I know how children can be. I'd just love some directions to Fort Trinity."

"Oh! Fort Trinity is south of here, through Sparkfly Fen. I'd suggest getting some friends to assist you along the way, those roads are infested with undead and bandits..." He frowns. "Maybe you could ask some Lionguard to escort you."

"Eh... not a fan of Lionguard. I'd rather go on my own. Besides, if I want to join the Pact, I need to prove I can handle myself on my own."

"Ah, looking to join the Pact. A very noble path." He smiles again, and you have to admit, it's kind of adorable. "I think they'd understand. You achieve nothing by being alone, friend."

"I... I'll consider that. Thank you, uh...?" You look down nervously. You don't know his name.

"Maxwell. Maxwell Stoneworker. And this is Rhys, my son." Maxwell introduces himself, and then shows off Rhys proudly, putting an arm around his shoulders.

"Nice to meet you both! I'm [Y/N]." You wave at Rhys, who grins and puffs out his chest. "Are you both in a Warband?"

"Oh no. We're Gladium." Maxwell waves the notion off. "I'm not fond of the Legions, though if my son wishes to join, I won't try and force him not to."

"I see." You nod. "Well... I think I'll have to head out now. If you wish to find me, you know where I'll be. I stay on the main road, so..."

"I'll keep an eye out." Maxwell says, letting Rhys begin to walk off. "It was great to meet you. Have a good, safe travel." With that, he follows his cub, leaving you to consider the encounter. You hope you meet him again.

💖 - heart scene three

Maxwell approaches you quickly, sweeping you into his strong arms. “[Y/N]! I was so worried, I thought you were killed!” He sobbed, nuzzling into your neck. You laugh weakly, patting his back with the remaining strength you had. Your wounds stung against his cold armor, but you didn’t care. He was here.

He picked you up, cringing when you cried out in pain. “I’m sorry, I’m sorry!” He said, trying his best to be careful. “I’ll get you out of here!”

You watched the treetops whiz by as he ran with you in his arms. Everything was a blur, and the blood dripping down your head over your eyes certaintly didn’t help. At the very least, Maxwell’s strong arms provided you a sense of comfort and safety.

After what felt like ages, he came to a stop. You could hear chatter around you but nothing was clear enough to understand.

1.) My cousin gifted me Guild Wars 1 Deluxe Edition for Christmas back when I was about 14. I had no idea what I was doing, but had a ton of fun. He played with me for a couple of months and quit, but I still kept going. I had a Necromancer Elementalist named Endorall and a monk elementalist named Sashimi. I didn’t know what Sashimi was at the time, and thought it was pretty. 

2.) The one singular time I took a break from GW2 was during Living World Season 1 and I’m still salty at myself about it. I remembered Lion’s Arch from GW1, and when I walked into it all destroyed, I remembered thinking “Something happened here...” I thought the dwarves had something to do with it.

3.) I dropped 200 dollars on gems in one go for gold so that I could buy the permanent bank contract at a cheaper price on the Trading Post a few years back. I use it literally every day, and don’t regret the decision.

4.) I’m an avid roleplayer on GW2 and have been part of a roleplay guild for 5 years come January 2021. (Hit me up if you ever wanna talk characters!)

5.) My two most favorite memories in GW2 are: 1. hearing a dragon roar for the first time in Sparkfly Fen, only to crest a hill and see Tequatl for the first time. It was chaos. Everyone was dead, Tequatl was wreaking havoc, map chat was panicking, I still didn’t know that enter allowed you to use said chats... Yet we still beat it. 2. Looking into the sky and seeing Kralkatorrik for the first time legitimately made me cry. It was so seamless and amazing how that moment was presented. I’ll never forget these moments.

To me it's her hair. I absolutely love her long braid and it makes me go wooooooooooooooo. But I also really love the basic norn thing about her - her muscular frame. I wish I could do it justice in my art (and one day I will!) To general public though it's probably her bosom, which she doesn't really mind, but she's not super happy about it either.

😍 : What does your OC find irresistible in others?

women-- I mean, Freya is really into a good sense of humor and high alcohol tolerance.

🔥 : What’s a surefire way to make your OC get flustered?

Flirt with her when she least expects it. You're gutting risen and fighting Tequatl in Sparkfly Fen? Tell her she looks georgeous with all that blood all over her armor. She will be thinking about it for half a night or longer.
