No because like my castle’s prophecy is nearing 200 years old and I’ve met a ton of people whose prophecies are over twice that age. How in the name of the Surface God are they only 20?

Okay this post just unlocked some long dormant memories in my brain and if I don’t talk about it with someone outside my castle I think I’ll lose my mind so you guys better be sitting down.

For some context: until around 7-8 years ago, my people were under almost constant threat of these giant sea snakes because they had unknowingly killed the head of their den. Savage things. Would take any opportunity to attack us. We couldn’t even find a new castle cause they would follow us everywhere. Because of all this, our elders ended up creating a prophecy, which stated that the Beacon would eat the carcass of the head snake, causing the rest of the sea snakes to leave us alone.

So when I was like 13, the Beacon had arrived at our castle to fulfil our prophecy, and as you can expect, we were all very excited and I remember trying to get to the front of the crowd as fast as possible to see them. They were like nothing I have ever seen before and have seen since, we all were in complete awe of them. However, the thing about them that ended up surprising me the most was that they were young. Like, pretty damn young. They looked a little younger than me. So while our monarch quickly went to make sure all the preparations were complete, they entrusted my parents with making sure the Beacon was comfortable, giving my family the opportunity to have small chat with them. Curiousity getting the better of me, I asked how old they were. 13. They said they’re 13 years old. They were MY age. I didn’t know what to do at that point and basically throughout the entire time our prophecy was being completed, my mind was just stuck thinking about if I was destined to eat that giant smelly snake

Floyd's Nickname Analysis

We all know that they can be correlated to how they look or act, but what if they were also actions or personality traits that each person has?

Riddle- "goldfish" or "kingyo"

He's red (Trigger for Floyd). He feels bad that Riddle is trapped in a "fishbowl" and hopes for him to explore the ocean. Can get violent, unlike what he seems (goldfish eat other fish; they can be at the top of the food chain depending on what fish you consider)

Ace- "crab" or "kani"

He's spiky and red (hair and personality-wise). Eels eat them; they are great prey for them (like in the 3rd arc, with the contracts)

Deuce- "mackerel" or "saba"

Mackerels are called "blue-backed fish", which spoil easily (In Japanese it can be translated to "Fast legs". Mixed with his track/field club). In France, I think, April Fools can be called April Fish day. Mackerels can be caught a lot in April. He is kind of... Stupid (Fool)

Cater- "snapper" or "hanadai" (This is from the wiki, which is correct, but I'll explain why I can't translate this correctly)

I can't translate his name because there isn't an actual fish; there are tons of fish that are called hanadai (just to name a few; akaobihanadai, sujihanadai, nagahanadai), kind of like a sub-family (different personalities). He is the only one so far who has a more vague nickname.The ones I think about have a tall nose, which reminds me of Pinocchio, whose nose gets taller the more they lie. They are pretty though.

Some of them are called “sea goldies” (a clue about how he could have been ex-dorm leader)

They eat shrimp... Maybe one day he'll hurt us

Trey- "sea turtle" or "umi kame"

They're smart, and they can also go on land (Secret?). He's the father of Hearts, and turtles and Disney remind me of a certain sea turtle in the Nemo series. And I think turtles are smart (glasses maybe?)

Leona- "Todo" or "Sea Lion"

As it's called, he is a lion. Sea lions can go on land... I wonder if he knows something outside of the ocean (Twisted Wonderland)..? Reminds me of Grim in a way.

Ruggie- "sharksucker" or "kobanzame"

He's always with Leona, like them with sharks. They eat scraps, and look out for a chance to strike, like for food.

Jack- "sea urchin" or "uni"

He's spikey with his hair. He's different than he appears; Sea urchins look inedible, but they are rich and creamy. I mean rich as with knowledge and mild as in personality in his case. And he is from the north, where I think good sea urchins are harvested. I wonder if the orange has anything to do with his dorm color. I can't say this for sure, but rich as in money.

Jamil- "sea snake" or "umihebi"

He's a snake. And like one, he is pretty, but with poison. I wonder if Floyd knows about the snakes' hint in the mirror. Anyways, I think Floyd thinks Jamil is similar to Jade (Sea snakes can be mistaken for eels sometimes)

Kalim- "Sea Otter" or "Rakko"

I wonder if his hair was brown, and not white... They are gourmets and can't eat without their favorite rock (Jamil). And he is hunted down because he is rich... (Sea otters were hunted down for their pellets). The turban reminds me of the seaweed they wrap around.

Epel- "guppy"

Not good with bettas, and loose to them. They are sensitive with temperature; Epel get heated up sometimes and is usually cool (faking his personality)

Vil: "Betta"

They get tired after flaring too much (overblot; with the issue with Neige). Really pretty, and aggressive. Not good with mirrors because of this (Mira with Vil)

Rook: "black-tailed gull" or "umineko"

He's in the sky, compared to the ocean. They can get wild and fast when they want. He's also a hunter (they hunt fish). He also has cat eyes. (they are literally called sea cats in japanese)

Idia- "firefly squid" or "hotaruika"

They glow like his hair. That's all I can say as for now

Ortho- "sea angel" or "clione"

He is an angle, but they can change rapidly with their looks to be quite... terrifying.

Malleus- "Nudibranch" or "Umiushi"

He's kind of cute with his personality, actually, he's more fluffy than cute though. They have something that looks like 2 horns.

Lilia- "flapjack octopus" or "mendako"

Like Azul, he is strong, unlike his looks. His hair reminds me of a flapjack octopus.

Silver:"jellyfish" or "kurage"

They're usually kind of white. They can hurt a lot when they attack. Unlike the people in his dorm, he is human so his life expectancy is short compared to them.

Sebek- "crocodile" or "wani"

Probably a reference to Sobek, the Egyptian god. He does remind us of a crocodile/alligator; he eats a lot, his phase in battle, etc.

The ones he adds -kun to (Cater, Jamil, Rook, Sam, and Trey) are a bit... troublesome in some way. I think Floyd sees Twisted Wonderland as the Ocean if you couldn't tell, so if they can go on land, they either know something or correlated in some way to MC/the lands beyond it.

what other people want added to Minecraft: g u n s

what I want added to Minecraft

•Birds

-For multiple biomes, but mainly for the forests.

-Songbirds would add SO MUCH life to the otherwise quiet areas of the game

-Ravens and crows would be awesome and could use some of the parrot mimicking AI

-Cardinals in the snow biomes would bring a GORGEOUS pop of colour into the white atmosphere

-Seriously we need something to populate the sky, parrots do NOT fly like they should

-nests in trees, can find eggs in them

-doesn't really add a use but fun new feather types would be cool

•Owls

-technically still a bird but would go really well in covered rooftop forests and snow biomes

-we're already getting larger avians added in the form of vultures so why not more large birds?

•Mice and / or rats

-absolute precious babies

-sadly would go well with owls :(

-with cave update coming we need adorable rodents scurrying around

-lil bastards could make mouseholes inside of blocks

-will they be tameable? idk.

-adds the necessity for cheese

•Deer

-MOJANG this is a MUST, this is a NEED

-You literally have pigs, chickens, cows, and sheep spawning in forests what the fuck

-Deer with spotty baby fawns??? Yes

-Young bucks with different stages of antler growth? Yes

-Fawns frolicking in flower forests bc they feel safe

-Stripped wood appearing on trees where bucks scrape velvet off their antlers

-Being able to collect sets of antlers when they fall off periodically (would NOT be attainable by killing the deer, you have to wait for them to shed)

•Elk and Moose

-Same vein as deer

-Bigger, much bigger, neutral instead of passive, less shy

-Snowy biomes

-Better additions than fucking llamas tyvm

-Sidenote but savannahs could also really use some endangered deer-like species to help raise awareness for their status

•Squirrels

-Mojang plz

-Adds nuts to Minecraft ;)

-Black, grey, red, and mixed colour squirrels and breeding

-Brings life to forests like songbirds and deer

•Bears

-Mojang bby you literally already have a neutral bear in Minecraft why have you not reskinned it for grizzly/brown/black bears?

-Bear caves

-Hibernating mobs

-Brings more use to the beehives and bees, bears could be attracted to any area that has more than one bee hive with honey

•WOLVES AND DOGS

-They NEED the ocelots and cats update

-More wolf types (red, timber, snow, black, etc)

-Actual wolf packs (the AI would be difficult to program but the doges are worth it)

-Please let the howl at the moon, if foxes get to say ringdingding all night long wolves deserve to be allowed to howl

-More dog breeds (I know that there's no reason for domesticated dog breeds in Minecraft but ACTUALLY THERE IS)

-Hunting dogs like springers that can jump and run faster

-Foxhounds :D

-Most Important Goodest Boy: Herding dogs like collies and sheepdogs

-Herding dogs could be found in plains where cows and sheep spawn and create herds

-LET DOGS LAY DOWN FOR FUCKS SAKE

•Herding

-Instead of having to pen up and enclose your livestock you could form herds of cows and sheep

-Your Goodest Boi herding dog would protect them and move around with them when they graze

-Just soft peaceful minecraft tingz

•Salt licks

-Something SO SMALL but would make SO MUCH HAPPINESS

-Drawing new cows into your herd by putting up a salt lick

-I'm soft

•Bird feeders

-idk I think it would be cool

-The coolness of wolves, the chaos of foxes, the cunning of cats

-I know it's a lot to ask and it would be hard to make them look good

-super easy to add, just reskin vines and add a string crafting recipie

-Bflies could be a unique mob to flower forests and friends with bees

-if moobloom is added they would all be BEST BUDS

-get it "buds" ahahaha

-help with flower polination but just gives a TON of life to flower forests

-We literally have lanterns in minecraft why do we NOT have moths? Such a cool aesthetic addition.

-helps fill both the daytime and nighttime sky

•Hummingbirds

-fourth member of BEST BUDS

-just soft baby

-i love birbs okay

-the only avian who does not work for the bourgeoisie

•Fireflies

-10 million of them please

-they give great hugs

-adds so much atmosphere to the night world

•Cheese

-We have milk

-We have, presumably, goat milk

-Quit being cowards and add butter and cheese

-Butter churn job block for villagers

-V funny bc they have no arms to churn with?? Oh well

•Seashells

-Something decorative and beautiful that could 1) liven up beaches and 2) have snails and crabs inside!

-Mojang plz do not add sand dollars to the game people already don't know how to tell if they're still alive before trying to take them home

•Whales

-WHALES.

-Imagine something as massive as the ender dragon but peaceful. Allows you to stand on them (idk how but make it happen Jeb)

-WHALE SONGS.

-Being so deep and far out into the ocean, and when the moon is high in the sky and you're sitting in your boat, you just hear the beautiful melancholy sounds of the whales in the distance

•Jellyfish

-Idk if y'all know this but the glow squid is a bad idea

-Dream buddy you fucked up, please use your influence to get in contact with Mojang and have them redo the vote. People would have so much regained respect for you if you tried to fix your mistake.

-Also why does a speedrunner get to tell millions of people what mob would bring more life to Minecraft? He's only playing the game for 5 minutes smh

-Jellyfish could literally do everything the glow squid is going to and look better for it AND possibly be neutral instead of peaceful

-Not much to say but it would liven up the frozen water biomes a bit

-Never going to happen since passive mobs are generally real life animals but it would be so cool

-they can hold hands

-brings life to the rivers

-wouldn't do much but needed

•Fairy Forests

-NOT Twilight Forests. Not a new dimension.

-Just gentle hidden groves in forests

-ADD FAIRY RING GENERATION TO MINECRAFT.

-Tigers, lions, bobcats, panthers

-Literally anything that could finally add a strong predator possibility to savannahs and jungles

•Zebras and Giraffes

-Shy and skittish

-cannot ride (their skeletal structure is NOT MADE FOR CARRYING HUMANS)

-Super cute tho, brings much needed life to savannahs

•Camels

-The better llama

-Can honestly just be a reskin

-brings much needed life to the desert

-spits and wears carpet and forms caravans like llamas

•Lemurs

-Easier to add to "jungles" than monkeys

-it would be really cool if we could just get a Rainforest biome

-King Julian stans awaken

-we need them

-cuter than normal pandas and you can @ me

-better idea than sloths or koalas

•More Eldritch Horror Hostile Mobs

-Fun fact time

-The enchanting table language already has Lovecraftian references

-Found in temples, mineshafts, and caves

-implied to be the remains of miners and explorers

-also implies that every skeleton you kill has some backstory since they look the same

-Not real world star maps but completely unique to Minecraft

-chance for LOTS of fun references

-The stars are your only companions in an apocalyptic world where you are the last of your kind

-Space is gay minecraft is gay thus minecraft space is gay

-we have butter in this list

-we have salt in this list

-popcorn. That is all.

-mostly a joke but would be a cool crop

-100% a reference to Hatsune Miku the creator of Minecraft

DISCLAIMER: I recognize that mobs are added to Minecraft to serve a purpose within the game and that many of these mobs would be better in mods and such, but I also feel like many of these suggestions would really bring so much more life to parts of the game that really need it. Even if they don't serve a huge purpose, they would still be really amazing additions imo.

Artemis Fowl II Headcanons

- Contrary to popular belief, Artemis will absolutely listen to modern music- just not much. He listens to music to drown out his own overthinking sometimes, and pop-ish music is just too loud and overstimulating for him. He listens to indie rock or something like that instead (Glass Animals, Mother Mother, Two Door Cinema Club, etc).

- Artemis gets sensory overload very easily. If he cannot remove himself from the situation he eventually becomes very sardonic and bitter from stress. Butler has learned how to recognize the signs of Artemis becoming overstimulated (twisting hands, lack of focus, frustrated expression) and will help him get away if Artemis can’t do so himself.

- Artemis occasionally wears makeup, typically after learning something new from Juliet. He’s not very skilled at putting it on himself but he’s getting better. The two often practice on each other.

- He’s very artistic/musically gifted, with a particular talent for the violin. He enjoys playing for others, though he has to relearn much of the muscle memory post-TLG. Artemis is also very gifted when it comes to watercolor painting, though he rarely shares those finished works, preferring to keep them for himself. He’s very pleased to see that Beckett also has a knack for the musical and encourages it whenever he can.

- Don’t be surprised if you can’t find Artemis in the Manor. Artemis knows every secret passageway/hidden room/difficult-to-access area of the estate and can easily make it from one wing of the Manor to the other unseen. For the most part, his family makes no effort to discover these hidden routes and rooms- they’re simply Artemis’s. Artemis did eventually show his family a few secret passageways out of the Manor in case of emergency, but for the most part the majority remain unknown to everyone but him.

- Post-resurrection, Artemis had a lot of recovery to do. He spent most of the first weeks in bed, battling a constant fatigue. When he eventually began to readjust to his normal life, he often needed the help of crutches to get around, and several renovations to the Manor were made to make it easier for him. He’s doing much better, but still occasionally suffers from muscle weakness- those days he spends inside.

- He remains unsettled in regards to the ocean after the events of TAC- his friends may have found the giant squid fiasco very funny, but Artemis most certainly did not.

- Tries his best to keep an eye out for his brothers. He played “Butler” to many of their earliest adventures exploring the areas near the Manor- many times he has had to catch the unruly twins before they could go running over the cliffs that mark the coastline. Eventually they learned to watch their step, but by that point he had nearly had a heart attack several times.

- He’s very aware that something is not quite right with his mental health- he’s just not sure what, and he’s scared to find out. While he’s made efforts to go to therapy before, it’s difficult for him to get past his fear of “being known” (though he still tries to go at least semi-frequently). On his bad days, he tries to just stay inside, somewhere out of the way of his family. Myles and Beckett try to help (sometimes they manage), and of course Butler and Juliet are familiar with this and help him in any way they can. Sometimes he just calls Holly or Minerva, if they’re available, and he’ll spends hours talking to them about all manner of things in order to distract himself.

- Builds with Legos if he’s out of ideas and needs something to do. Myles and Beckett enjoy assisting him, though he and Butler together are responsible for most of the larger builds he’s accomplished.

- Once performed a vocal cover of Stromae’s “Tous Les Memes” in competition with Minerva.

- Very outspokenly against the exotic animal trade/black market after the events of TTP, in an effort to “make up” for giving Jayjay up in the past.

Sir these are my emotional support new Squishmallows

The one on the top is Soda Pop the bunny. They are a talking bunny who uses they/them pronouns and likes to paint pictures. They have a calm personality. They are kind of shy and a bit quiet, because they don’t know how to approach people. Even though they are a bunny, they are able to roar. The picture of them I took was in school (in Japanese club a week ago when nobody showed up due to the virus lol. I was going to say goodbye to everyone because school was closing down but nobody showed up anyway...)

Goo is a shy talking jellyfish who really admires my OC Nagisa. He loves superheroes because they give him courage. He says that Nagisa is like a superhero to him, because she saves people and has a heroic heart. One day, Goo wishes to be able to help others too.

Macaroni is a curious pudgy bulldog who likes to eat pasta and explore places like forests and caves and have adventures. And he also likes to dress up, hence the bunny ears. He is a playful and loyal dog. He may only bark, but other animal characters understand his speech.

Periwinkle is a cheerful talking squid, and she really admires my OC Rhona. She is very interested in what life is like for land-dwellers, especially humans. She could even be as interested in land culture as Rhona is about the ocean! Periwinkle admires how Rhona wants to learn more about the ocean, along with her heroism.

I had a dream about you last night

I awoke in a world of purple skies and pink flora, where the wind was light and gravity’s power sang like a theremin. Honeysuckle accented the air, with undertones of orange and whiskey. I knew this world, terraformed a mere three years ago. Seas of yellow and sands of blue, mechanical bees trying their best. You were stationed here a month before I, and true to yourself, spent all your time working. You were a nuclear engineer, and the head of a huge energy project researching antimatter. I was a medical officer, young in the head and a ready grin. It took a week before I saw you, beneath a grove of orange-blossomed trees in the living city. When your eyes met mine, I felt the same connection as before, now that we weren’t worlds apart. You stood up, lost for words, and I bounded over to you and hugged you. You hugged back for once, and with some urging, spoke of your days here. Where I spent my free time at the beach, exploring the breathable sea, you were studying the world around us for research of antimatter. We walked hand in hand to your lab, where I got your new discord and I kissed you on the cheek. As I was walking to the hospital where I worked, I got a friend request from you. I accepted it, and messaged “OMG HIIII I MISSED YOU”. You responded with “<3”, a message pattern reminiscent of our high school days. I closed the app and got ready to work.

Days passed in this world where the sky never changed, and days turned to weeks and then months. We spent time together frequently, and I still remember the first time you slept over. It was 01h00, and we had spent the night traversing the star-lit clubs of the living city, and we had both overindulged on an alcohol made of tritriticale. Laughing, we weaved our way through the streets til we reached my flat. I pulled you in, and we had a firefly remake marathon. You spoke of early mornings and dark streets, and I replied with “why don’t you just stay over?”

And you did.

I woke the next morning with you in my arms, freckled skin and light blue eyes. It wasn’t awkward, we’d known each other for so long. You asked what had happened, and I honestly did not remember myself. I pulled you out of bed, directed you to the bathroom, and gave you a change of clothes and pointed to a drawer of new toiletries. You came to the kitchen as I was making chai and a paratha for each of us. This world’s grain was strange and coarse, but it behaved well for chapatis. You asked why there was just a drawer of new toiletries in my bathroom, and I hesitated. Truth be told, in the years prior, I had filled my emptiness with one night stands, set to https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VaKzNtwPQxE . “Hmm” you said. “That will have to change.” Only then did you check the time, and panicked. You asked if I had a car. I did not. I had only a one-person hoverbike, which you did not know how to ride. “I’ll take you, just hold on tight and never let me go.” We made a strange pair, you taller and less prone to flights of fancy, holding on to me, laughing as we roared down a crowded street beneath the speckled purple sky.

One day, we visited earth together. Our bond was unspoken and unbroken, and I knew we would always be friends. We basically lived together at that point, some nights at mine, some at yours. Our flats displayed the differences between us that made us work, neon and over the top to your museum-esque quiet. That doesn’t mean that you didn’t know how to let go. I’ve seen you laugh, and I’ve seen you cry. I’ve held you in my arms through times both good and bad, and I’ll never let you go.

That day on earth was to see your parents, as mine were also offworld. We walked from the spaceport hand in hand, the scent of the earth enveloping us and taking us back to school days. Days where I’d throw post it notes at you as you rolled your eyes and pretended to be annoyed, where you looked to me during nervous presentations and my eyes and my smile reminded you to breathe.

Your parents saw us, and they welcomed us home. I was treated as a member of the family, and I met the turtles you couldn’t bring offworld. I saw the turtle who was reminiscent of me, and the tree she always got stuck in. I saw the pacific ocean by your side, the lights of San Francisco extending above the horizon. I saw the waves of a non-breathable sea crash and foam, and that struck me with an idea. I took everything off but my underwear, and motioned for you to do the same. You rolled your eyes, ready for another one of my dumb ideas, and I pulled you into the sea with me.

Crashing waves and thunderous whales surrounded us, and I pressed the sea-helmet button I installed in a tattoo. I insisted you got one too before we visited, and I pressed it for you. We dove deep into a world seldom seen, and we went deeper and deeper til we reached a dark place where the only light was from the connection between you and me. We spent nearly a day down there, communicating with thought and thought alone. We learned the language of the deep, watched as deep-sea octopi enveloped their prey and giant squid scurried away. Eventually, we rose, and it was a world of coral and bright colours. We reached the surface, and I realised that the current had taken us far from the forests of kelp we were used to. We dove once more, heading south. We stayed close to the coast, and explored forests of coral, mirroring the shore’s redwoods.

That day ended with us on a pier near the bridge, drinking boba with my head on your shoulder, smiling as you looked to the sea. We went back to your parents’ house, and spent a week there in total. Eventually we had to leave, and your parents took us to the spaceport. They held each other as they waved us goodbye and you tried not to cry. I distracted you with a debate about space politics, and you pretended to be enraged at my devil’s advocacy.

A day passed before we reached our home planet, and another before we reached the living city. Usually, I would remain awake and watch the stars go by, but that time, like most space travelers, I fell asleep. I awoke with my head on your shoulder and you holding me. You were watching a program about physics and how it was changed by meeting extraterrestrial life, “Always thinking about work, aren’t you?” I joked. “Not when I’m with you” you mumbled. I leaned into you again and went back to sleep, the rhythm of your pulse and breathing like a gentle wave rocking me to sleep.

Months passed under the many-sunned, purple sky, and we grew ever closer. I feared that this would end like most of my friendships did- fizzling out when I hit a dark spot and the weight on my chest grew too heavy to bear. When those days came, you were a firefly in a world that swallowed all light, but you persisted and flew your way to my heart and you stayed and you lit up the world til morning came. You swore that you would never leave me, and I believed you.

This morning I awake in a world of purple skies and pink flora, where the wind is light and gravity has the sound of a theremin. Honeysuckle accents the air, with undertones of orange and whiskey. I know this world, explored laughing with you. Seas of yellow and sands of blue, days spent dreaming of you. I recall the day before, lost in a forest of alien honeysuckle with you by my side. I turn over, and I see you. I pull you closer and stroke your hair, getting lost in our dream once more.
