Personality:

William is an aloof, dignified individual who strictly observes rules and formalities and expects the same from others. He performs his duties with diligence, precision, and impartiality. He does not take kindly to those who cause trouble, particularly if such trouble forces him to apologize for their actions and work overtime.

Claude's personality drastically changes after he tastes Ciel Phantomhive's blood. He begins to covet Ciel's soul and becomes erratic and bizarre; he would dance and make doilies. Having developed a strange obsession with Ciel's soul, Claude is determined to obtain it at any cost.

First of all, William is aloof and Claude is apathetic which doesn't mean the same thing. An aloof person can be apathetic or not, it depends, and even though he acts as he does I wouldn't describe William as apathetic.

William expects others to follow the same rules he follows meanwhile, in part for the work place and in part for his master, Claude tends to make others obey his rules and if Alois is not around tends to not obey the rules given him beforehand as he doesn't deem them necessary. Claude also bent the rules to achieve Ciel's soul etcetera etcetera

Claude is very much not as impartial as William is in general, which is one of the things that distinguishes them the most in my opinion.

William doesn't care for hobbies such as dancing, sewing, or anything else for that matter, in the slightest. Claude instead is seen practicing more than one of them quite a few times.

Just googled something to find out if me and my partner (I love him but damn he's stupid) get a rented place instead of staying with his mum. And I want fish, I had a very pretty orchid male Betta fish a year ago but I had to give him away when my mum kicked me out. But I wanted to know if the rented place could allow me to have more fish. But on some common websites it says that fish are low effort, easy care, and doesn't take much. As a adamant fish lover and wanting to own more. Fish take effort and time to care for them. Sure it doesn't take as much as say a dog or cat but it also takes different types of care and diligence for them to thrive and be happy in the context of a fish. It's just annoying how people are willfully saying fish are super easy. As if. My leviathan was a fickle bitch who didn't have his water changed every Tuesday, Thursday and fully every Saturday he would act all weird and kinda off. And if he didn't get feed on the same time every day or two he'd lose his shit. Like,,, wtf

I have to know if this is a common sentiment in the Ace Attorney fandom. So basically I watch a lot of Ace Attorney YouTube videos. A lot of them being rankings and stuff whether that be of cases or characters. And something that I've seen 2 or 3 times now is the sentiment that there was not an interesting/well written female characters in the series until Dahila Hawthorne. And while I do think that some female characters are lacking like April May or Lotta Hart. (Which I don't even think April May is all that bad either.) Overall I think they are done pretty well BEFORE Dahlia. Like do Adrian Andrews, Lana Skye, Morgan Fey, Dee Vaquez, and even Maya Fey not exist to y'all?

To anyone anyone who says this you just don't think about female characters writing as much as you think you do. And you don't allow yourself to see the nuances of female characters.

I’ve been watching theories and explanations of ‘Asteroid City’ and in my opinion the views that people have are completely wrong, so I’m going to explain the meaning of it, or what the meaning is in my perception.

Now, I’ll start off with the fact that one person claimed that Wes Anderson films have little meaning and value aesthetics above the story, which he’s tried to counteract by making a purposefully meaningless story in Asteroid.

No. Just no.

Every Wes Anderson film, as I see it, is used to display a certain type of relationship. The Grand Budapest Hotel shows the friendship between the Mr Gustave and Zero. The Darjeeling limited shows the relationship of the three brothers. Moonrise kingdom shows the relationship of the two children in their young love, I could go on with every film but you get the point.

The person was correct that yes, this film is slightly different to the others, it doesn’t display the relationship between people as they’re together, it more shows how relationships are everlasting through feelings of grief. Particularly the grief of the actors for the playwright, which is represented through their characters.

It’s true that the film has a sense of meaningless to it, but this is used to display the meaningless feel of death, how no one can comprehend the incomprehensible. They try to understand the alien, which even we don’t know anything about and they never can, much like how us as humans will never truly understand grief.

The meaningless is reflected through the character of Augie (played by Jason Schwartzman) who tells the director that he still doesn’t understand the play. It is no coincidence that this is also the person who had a relationship with the playwright, who died. These two are interlinked because much like the way that he doesn’t understand the okay, he doesn’t understand the grief that he’s feeling.

What I’m trying to say is that Wes Anderson has clearly thought out his films thoroughly and filled them with meaning and to say that every film is entirely meaningless is completely wrong. Rant over.

the car is shit because it doesn’t have a strong front (like the f1-75 did @ the start of 2022), and they can’t change the chassis because of the cost cap. it’s too expensive. so we’re stuck with the chassis binotto & co. designed to suit carlos’ driving style (re: understeer). i know they’ve tried to add some aero-related pieces to strengthen the front in their development (e.g., new diffuser, front flap, etc.). which is why charles was feeling a little more like his old self yesterday and carlos fell off a bit. i’m so ready for the 2024 car since they’ve said they’re designing it toward charles’ driving style (oversteer, fast). hope they can deliver for him. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 he deserves a great car!

I truly have no words...

Charles did a great Q3 lap. Drove on the edge a few times in sector 2, and then the rear just... doesn't respond in sector 3. And his lap time is nowhere as a result. He really could have done nothing more. The SF-23 truly belongs in the trash. Absolutely disgrace of a car.

What's worse is this disgrace of a team, who developed the fast pointy F1-75 into an understeer tractor AND stopped development early to focus on the SF-23 (LMAO), an even worse understeer tractor that they now can't develop out of a wet paper bag. They need to bin their organizational philosophy, bin a perpetually feckless strategy team (notice how this season Merc always finishes where they deserve by just ... you know, behaving normally?), bin their useless second driver who at best gives bad data (Silverstone tire wear) and at worst does everything to undermine their fastest driver (Silverstone quali, Austria race, Monaco quali, Australia quali, Saudi race - weaving, Silverstone 2021 race - shoving off the track, etc. I can't even keep tabs anymore, it's actually getting comical) while politicking car development into the midfield.

I'm constantly mind blown this team cannot do simple math. To win WDC/WCC, you don't need both drivers to be comfortable, you don't need your drivers to finish 1-2, YOU NEED YOUR FASTEST DRIVER TO FINISH P1. The points difference between P1 and P2 is fucking enormous. As long as you make a car that CHARLES can win in, it doesn't matter if his teammate is P3, P4, etc. (or if you're special like Perez, DNF in FP1 and then P9).

There's talent in the team. Charles is generational. I think Vasseur is trying to do right, but dear god - there's a reason Schumacher was so successful. He had the political sway and brought in his own people to absolutely GUT Ferrari over several years and turned it into something unrecognizable. To win with Ferrari, you must first disrespect and destroy Ferrari.

ANYWAYS! Therese Voerman and Felix, have a lot in common lol. Like, they are both stern looking, smart blondes that have an affinity for wearing black formal clothing.

They BOTH have an identical relative, that they are identical to for... Reasons. (The reasons being so much more different and plot oriented then just " biology!", such as the fact that Felix AND Adrien are sentimonsters, and the fact that Therese and Jeanette are actually the SAME person with a personality disorder, that is cranked up to 11 due to being a malkavian vampire. )

Which they BOTH have a secret soft spot for! (Though sometimes they have a real funny way of showing it cough cough Therese trying to shot/kill Jeanette/Felix pretending to be Adrien to low-key ruin his life), and while they have kinda drifted apart/fight, it's confirmed that they were ONCE very close. The people they look identical to are also far more nicer and outgoing then they are too.

They both have daddy issues ( Though Therese's dad is WAY more fucked up than colt.. PERIOD. As bad as Felix's dad was, he never touched him inappropriately.. then again, it's not like they COULD show that in a children's show.)

Both of them are both labeled monsters, seeing as Therese is a VAMPIRE and Felix is a sentiMONSTER. I could see Therese scoffing at the fact that he's called a "sentimonster", because she's seen real monsters. Monsters that hurt and kill, ( aka vampires lol), and finds it all silly.

All and all, I can see them having an oddly deep conversation. They could bond over having soft and too trusting of "sister/cousin", and that Therese wouldn't be so mean to him (still pretty mean though), seeing as he ISN'T human. She'll probably be somewhat of a bad influence, thinking about it.. like she would be all like " just kill them.. duh.. they're humans.. their lives are worthless..". And I guess they would also bond over having shitty fathers.. ( wait..did Therese come to terms with that?? I don't remember..) also, I oddly see Felix being oddly sympathetic for her, since she's never even had a mother.

Idk, maybe I should play more bloodlines again lol, I miss Therese AND of course Jeanette.

Children of Time Rant

Tldr: Read Children of Time by Adrian Tchaikovsky, it's very good. Also sentient spiders have five names apparently, and there are personalities associated with said names.

Just read through Children of Time (by Adrian Tchaikovsky), started reading Children of Memory, and promptly realised it was the third book and not the second. So now I'm waiting for Children of Ruin (book 2) to arrive on Amazon. Did I start CoT about three days ago? Yes. But I need more spider content. Gimme the spider-Human interactions.

I love how we get five names for those spiders, and one is only used once, but I still remember it because we get five names and they are: Portia (always our PoV), Bianca (always Portia's friend), Fabian (male), Viola (important side character), and Osric. Osric is mentioned once and it is to tell us that he died.

But like I love how we get around 2000 years worth of spiders and still we have four names in use. Going into the characters (traits associated with names) in more depth: (oh and when I refer to anything relating to gender, the Portiids basically have "reverse sexism:biology edition")

They're always powerful and always smart, the leaders of their society. Fabian is often very outspoken for a male, and he's smart, often a pioneer of technology, which is notable because---again---he's male. Bianca and Portia sometimes switch up, but they swap between scientist and warrior, and are close friends. Fabian is often one of their assistants. Viola is always a high-ranking spider, influential, but a side character. These are basically just their roles and not personalities because those do flip-flop.

Anyways, little rant over. Read the book(s). They're good. Or at least the first one, haven't read the second yet.

Few parallels I noticed between Vlad + Lisa and Trevor + Adrian:

1. Both Vlad and Trevor are shown as "rude" and untouched with reality/having no empathy. Both get called out on their shit by their respective blond(e)s

E.g- Lisa sassily telling Vlad "Maybe you need to relearn some manners" when he doesn't properly greet her, and Adrian sassily telling Trevor "God you still think you're funny" when he makes an unfunny joke about bloodletting(I thought it was funny but ig it was too soon for him-)

2. Both Lisa and Adrian then enter their respective brunets' home and proceed to make fun of their knowledge/social skills.

E.g- "you don't travel much" "I can travel :(" "but you don't :/"

And,

"But you knew that the word 'teloch' means 'of death' right?" "shut up -_-" "It's the magical door of death, Belmont >:D"

3. Ofc there's the scene where Vlad and Trevor bow to Lisa and Adrian, Vlad introducing the "pure science" to her and Trevor giving away his family hold to Adrian. I made a separate post about that actually.

4. The blond(e) x brunet dynamic is pretty popular and yes I'm gonna count that as well, even if that's not a parallel in the sense.

KARS INFODUMP / RANT / RAMBLE

Kars is the leader of the Pillar Men, and also the creator of the Stone Masks.

The Stone Masks are Masks which if put on with blood splattered on it will turn people into fricking vampires.

His so to say "evil" plan is to evolve from his natural form to become immune to the sun's rays, and for this he needs to find the Red Stone of Aja to make his masks more powerful, to do this he tries to beat a lot of people and one of them is Joseph Joestar(obiviously the jojo of that time).

He is absolutely the smartest and strongest of all the Pillar Men. He created all the Stone Masks aaaand because of that, "artificial" vampires too so Kars is one of the more important characters in all the anime and manga!

Basically his invention, in the long run, caused all of the shit that happens in jjba lmao. It will affect the Brando, Joestar and Zeppeli families.

And to think a lot of people skip this season. Respectfully, go watch the fucking thing, this shit's important

Superhuman Senses He is able to hear anything from whale calls to bat screams. His vision is akin to an astronomical telescope (can you imagine that? That's so cool tbh)

Superhuman Strength Kars possesses incredible strength, estimated to be almost 900 kg/cm2 (mmm I'm having feelings about this idk what that meant but yes)

Regeneration Kars can heal any wound in a very short time I'M FAST AS FUCK BOIIII

Immortality Kars is immortal, invincible and nearly indestructible it seems. He doesn't age and he can survive only having himself as a source for everything (he's even ecologic would you look at that/hj)

Personal rambling and praising of the subject

I LOVE HIM. No no no no no. Love is too weak of a word. I ADORE his character. He's just so perfect, every time i see him on screen I flap my hands so much because of how excited I am, I know he's a mass murderer, I know he doesn't care for humanity, I know he's a dick but he's also my comfort character.

Every time I see something about him I freak out. I feel so connected to him for some reason. He's such a self assorbed bustard but I love it tbh. If I could draw anatomy well i'd draw myself with him a lot more but I could draw him decently like once or twice so yea... wryyy...

There are no words able to describe his character as beautiful as I see him fr.

His hair is perfect, I adore it, like bitch you been in there for 100,000 years and you're hair is majestic points to you for sure. He's elegant, petty and arrogant and A LOT of other things that just make him Kars and they are all so spot on. He's so well written I could feel him through the manga if I wanted to.

His powers are great, just great. I'd let him experiment with them on me fr. Example... super strength? Crush please and thank you.

I love his eyes, they're so cool, aswell with his makeup ofc.

listening to Adrian Tchaikovsky's Eyes of the Void*, and i can't get enough of Havaer Mundy—peak wet rat energy. arguably more so than Idris, who is admittedly also a battered lil guy but he has people who love him and whom he can rely on.

Havaer is just a lil guy with his back against the wall in a morally fraught job with dubious superiors, and he wants to join the nice warm bickering spacer crew but he Can't 'cause he has Obligations to the intelligence service that doesn't give a fuck about him at all.

Next in the week we had the Adrian Newey leaving Red Bull rumors. Since sources like the BBC have leapt onto it, I am more likely to believe it.

However it won’t make that much of a difference in the short term, apparently Newey won’t be able to return until 2027/28 ish. What it will do is level out the playing field, Newey is the reason that the Red Bull is a rocket ship. Take him away and it’ll make the sport really interesting.

I could sit here and optimistically think that this threat could make the Red Bull higher ups wake up and smell the coffee and sack Christian Horner. Adrian Newey leaving directly threatens their current dominance, and they don’t want to lose that. However, this is highly unlikely to happen. But good on Adrian for having a moral compass!

Once again raging over the epilogue of The Ruby Circle not mentioning anything about where Adrian and Daniella get blood. You're telling me they just don't need it? Sydney suddenly performed the biggest plot twist of all time and became their feeder? Eddie relapsed from his time in Spokane? Adrian feeds on the kids he teaches? It's such a core problem that could have such a simple answer but there's nothing.

There could have just been an extra sentence here about it having small Moroi groups where feeders were readily accessible?

idk I just find this extra wild bc I only went back to TRC to recheck Declan's timeline, and while doing so I found scenes where the leader of the dhampir commune make it clear to Adrian there's no feeders, plus when Jill is rescued there's a big deal about her drinking animal blood and then getting her and Adrian to an actual feeder. tf kind of oversight is this bro.
