Kiss Me Two, Chapter 1 (Alaska x Alyssa x Katya) - Melyssa
‘It’s not too bad,’ she offered comfortingly, ‘What happened anyway, got yourself another soulmate?’
Shangela had spent a solid three minutes laughing at her own joke before she was able to register Alyssa’s silence.
DALLAS, TEXAS
This ‘soulmate situation’ Alyssa has taken to calling is only known by a handful of people, whom Alyssa can count within her five fingers
–three fingers
The first person would be Tabatha, Alyssa’s little sister who she loves with all her heart…and had also betrayed. Their bond had taken an unstable rift these years and Alyssa is aware of its growing distance the more she avoids her family. Still, she can’t bring herself to give that explanation to her sister in fear of the look of pity or maybe even disgust she would find on her face.
One day, she tells herself.
The second would be Shangela, who didn’t allow her to take three steps into the living room before she realised something was wrong.
‘Mama I swear if you keep locking yourself in your room every single time you lose Drag Race, I might have to tell Ru not to bother considering you for All Stars 3’ Shangela says teasingly.
‘It’s not too bad,’ she offered comfortingly, ‘What happened anyway, got yourself another soulmate?’
Shangela had spent a solid three minutes laughing at her own joke before she was able to register Alyssa’s silence. Her daughter’s face, Alyssa would swear, was the most hilarious thing she had ever seen. But she didn’t even get a second to burst into laughter herself before Shangela had started yelling so much, she was torn between being regretful and being grateful for the fact that Laganja and Gia weren’t home that day.
Two people, two people whom Alyssa loves the most in the world, were aware of just how disturbingly inconvenient her ‘situation’ was, so it came as no surprise to anyone even herself when she found herself in the office of the third person.
“Good morning Ms. Edwards” Dr. Ford greets her with a teasing chuckle “Or shall I say, Mr. Johnson”
Dr. Ford was a specialist Alyssa and Shangela had carefully selected from a list of doctors to help her. He specialised in Soulmate Bonding Biology and Sciences, which in all honesty, Alyssa didn’t even know was an actual occupation.
“ ‘Justin’ would do just fine sweetie” Alyssa laughs, though the sound was stiff, maybe even weak for the one and only Alyssa Edwards.
That doesn’t matter to Dr. Ford who keeps the bright smile on his face even as his eyes harden a little with understanding.
“I know that given the fame you have in this area” his eyes sweep around his clinic in Dallas. “You’d like to keep this under the wraps.”
Alyssa gives a nod “That would be correct thank you”
“Not to worry Justin, given the law of privacy between doctor and patient appointments, no word of our transaction will not spread word unless they are from your own lips” the physician nods his head towards the door.
“Though I do think that the…extra security, will do just the job.”
This pulls a laugh out of Alyssa once again, sounding more genuine than the last one. “I suppose” If one could consider a very stubborn Shangela ‘extra security’.
Dr. John’s smile widen just by a fraction before dropping completely, demeanour beginning to take an air of professionalism as he begins to ruffle through his desk for a ziplock bag filled with pills.
“Now Justin” he rubs through the little pink contents- small little pills. “I understand you came to me for a diagnosis of what you believe to be ‘Soulmate Burns’ “.
“Right” Alyssa nods again. “Am I wrong?”
“Not entirely” Dr. John sighs, pushing towards her a printed article entitled ‘Soulmate Burns- Heartbreak In Ashes’. She’s already read that of course, one of the alarmingly few writings she’s encountered over her matter.
“Your condition, although rare, is not entirely…impossible.”
Although she already knew the answer deep inside, Alyssa asks anyway. “And tell me doc, are there anymore ways you can define this, whatyacallit…condition?”
Dr. John offers her a smile. “Soulmate bonds are one of the most powerful forces of nature, binding two people in a way where the mutual attraction is almost entirely impossible. Sometimes however, people manage to defy nature and well, break the connection, breaking the bond. They never do the people any harm, majority of my clients admitting that they’ve decided that taking separate directions being a relieving option to them. ”
“However” He leans his arms over the table and stares directly into her eyes “Some are not as fortunate. Soulmate bonding coupled with genuine attraction can make a force so strong, the rejection itself burns the person. Researches, including myself, has delved into this condition and labelled it ‘Soulmate Burns’.”
“But you Mr. Johnson” He leans back, eyes gleaming in obvious interest . “Aren’t attracted to your soulmates are you?”
“No I am not” Alyssa admits in full resolution, and yet, a stinging burst of warmth bursts from her chest, as if it was her own body screaming ‘Liar!’. She could not do anything to hide the wince that passes through her features.
“May I see your soulmark Justin?” Dr. John’s voice softens as he stands up towards her. Alyssa only nods as she begins unbuttoning the polo she had on that day, button by button until it revealed her soulmark- a lipstick stain pressed on her chest, still as firm and purple as ever.
Not to her doctor apparently.
“It’s fading alright” He sighs “May I touch it?”
Alyssa nods again, alibi, a little bit more hesitant as fingers gently probe her mark.
“Ng-” Hot, short, electricity bursts from the contact, causing her to jerk away as Alyssa finds herself shocked in every literal manner. .
“Yup, it’s Soulmate Burns alright” Dr. John sighs as he goes back to his desk.
Just as Alyssa had buttoned back her shirt, he pushes towards her the pills, expression indescribable as she took it from his hands.
“Those pills will help regulate your Soulmate Burns, making sure that the mark doesn’t inhibit the usual painful processes of rejection.” The doctor explains.
“I see” Alyssa remarks dryly as she stares at the little pink balls in the bag. There were plenty of them, about more than a hundred pieces made to last her for at least several months. They looked harmless, cute perhaps, just like the beads and sequins decorating one of her favourite dresses.
“Be sure to take them once a day. But if there are any cases where you believe you will encounter your soulmate in an afflicting situation…you’re free to take a maximum of three per day.”
“Afflicting situations?” Alyssa rolls the word over her tongue “Such as?”
Dr. John begins listing things off. “Oh you know, anything you feel will provoke your soul bond, such as kissing, sexual acitivites, romantic acitvities and moments of sentimentality with your soulmates.”
Sexual activities-
Against her will, the image of Katya pressing Alyssa against the wall in the bathroom of their film set flashed in her mind. Her lips on her own, her body pressed against hers, and her hands all over her, big strong hands feeling her and feeling so warm and so…
Another burst of hot pain goes through her, forcing Alyssa back to reality.
“I-I see” She swallows as she tries to will her face to cool down.. The doctor looks back at her, this time eyes holding an obvious look of disapproval.
“Now I remember that you mentioned in your phone call that you are to be in constant range of your soulmates.” He frowns “Is that still non-negotiable?”
Alyssa nods.
“And not one of them knows you as a third party?”
Alyssa nods again.
The doctor leans is chair back with a defeated sigh as he stares with something almost akin to pity. “Any chance you’re not considering leaving this situation whatsoever?”
Alyssa only drops her eyes back into the pills, its bright pink colour in contract to the sound of her chuckling voice which was hollow and grave as she responded.
“Trust me darling, if it was possible to permanently remove myself from their presence I would.”
The doctor says nothing more as he escorts her to the door. However, just as Alyssa was about to bid him goodbye, he begins to speak again.
“Now Justin” Dr. John sighs nervously “Those pills can only do so much, so uh, there are certain conditions in which they could only work.”
Alyssa looks at him in belwideredment, why didn’t he say things sooner? “What are you talking about?”
“It means Justin, that the moment you fall in love with even one of your soulmates, they lose their effect.” Dr. John says gravely “So I highly suggest-”
“Removing myself from situation?” Alyssa asks almost laughingly, despite her inside crumbling from the information.
So if she even gains one speck of genuine feelings for one of her soulmates…
“Oh I’m gonna be fucked” she whispers to herself as she exits the clinic, wishing that the bag of pills she had in her hands was a contract instead- one she would have definitely not signed if she knew this was going to happen.

“...GET YOUR TICKETS NOW! AND WATCH MY ALL STARS, STAR ALL OVER THE WORLD-”
“You sure are up early”
A warm husky voice, that should have startled Alaska, speaks behind her ear. Instead, the young male chuckles as she shifts comfortably under the duvet and the pair of arms that surround her.
“You’re the only person who finds 9AM late darling.” Alaska turns around. Instantly, she is faced with eyes, a pair of the most beautiful shade of blue she’s ever seen. They were blurry from sleep, but she catches them brighten as they meet hers.
“You cunt” Katya laughs as she pulls her nearer so their faces were only an inch apart.
“Oh” Alaska feels herself heat up, her cheeks probably turning into a shade of pink as Katya quirks an eyebrow at her.
“Oh?” Katya laughs again, the sound so unbelievably beautiful, Alaska feels her own smile widen.
“Oh good morning?” Alaska tries again as she scoots just a little bit more nearer into her partner’s space. Just a little bit.
Katya only smiles. “Oh good morning to you too then.”
And that was all she said before cupping Alaska’s cheek and pulling her into that day’s first kiss.
That seemed to be how Alaska woke up every single day now ever since All Stars 2. Here in Katya’s embrace, her kisses, and in her home- their home? They never really gave much specifics to it, but it had only taken them a month before Alaska had unofficially moved into the Russian’s homey abode.
They would lie around for a couple more minutes before one of them kicks the other out to shower while the other makes breakfast.
It was soft, it was domestic, and Alaska never realised how much she missed waking up next to someone until Katya pulled away from the kiss, a sleepy smile on her face.
“Good morning.” Alaska sighs again. Katya opened her lips to say something again, but was interrupted by the sudden sound of RuPaul’s voice from her phone.
“-TICKETS ARE AVAILABLE IN-”
“Shit hold on-” Alaska fumbles for the device behind her as Katya releases a long yawn.
“They already posted the announcement?” Katya asks the brunette.
“Yeah they posted it in Youtube this morning.” Alaska answers, only to groan as she hears a small ‘thud’, a tell-tail sign that her phone had fallen down. Unfortunately, it didn’t hit the pause button as the video continues blaring under the bed.
“-AND SEE THE QUEENS, GINGER MINJ, ADORE DELAN-”
Katya only snickers as she begins to untangle herself from the covers. “Good luck with your phone sweetheart, but I’m going to start breakfast alright?”
“KATYA”
Alaska doesn't move from where she’s pushed her face into a pillow, but can’t help but smile when she feels a pair of lips press against her forehead.
“TATIANNA, DETO-”
“Yeah go ahead, we have to pack today don’t we?”
“-XXY ANDREWS-”
Katya hums thoughtfully, “Yeah, do you need a ride to your apartment?”
“ALASKA THUND-”
“Yes thank you.” Alaska yawns “Gosh there’s a lot to do today.”
“COCO MONTRE-”
“I told you that you should have moved in already.” Katya laughs as she ruffles her hair. Alaska groans yet again, but smiles fondly as she gets up to watch the other walk out the door.
Moving in was a concept they had discussed over several dinners, but Alaska hadn’t had the motivation to go through the hectic process of moving. She’s surely regretting it now, because majority of her drag was still in her original apartment from where she now apparently has to travel to in order to pack.
With a final groan, she stretches before getting up. There was no use complaining now she supposes.
‘I’ll move once the tour is over’ she promises herself as she bends under her bed to start her day.
“-AND FINALLY, ALYSSA EDWARDS!”

Yeap, I absolutely adore RPRD. I try to stay away from talking about it on social media because the fandom is very toxic and it stresses me out, but the truth is it is one of my favorite shows 😁 I’ve been a fan since season 4 and each year during off-season I watch them all again.

'party' fucking SENT me oh my god lmao. I just finished the season and I'm watching the reunion rn (I am SHRIEKING at Detox and Adore talking about just going to town with their fans lmaooo), I think Alaska did well so it was deserved that she won even though her meltdown before the finale was Yikes. The 'Read U Wrote U' number in the Finale was absolutely Iconic. My personal fave will always be Katya so I'm gonna go binge unhhhh now. Who are your favorite drag queens on the show and in general?
!!! Party WHAT A MOMENT A moment that is most pleasing to me in my career
I think Alaska deserved the win too, even though I’m definitely a bigger fan of Katya as a drag queen in general. I think the thing is that Alaska brought the most to the competition and even though Katya was in the top a fair amount, she felt a little less well rounded than Alaska. But I really, really wish that Alyssa had been top 4 so we could have got a verse from her in Read U Wrote U instead of Roxxxy’s weak attempt.
My fave queens from the show, in no particular order, are - Raja, Raven, Katya, Trixie, Shea, Bob, Monet X Change, Miz Cracker, Adore, Ben, Willam, Peppermint, Alyssa, Detox, Alaska. I tend to gravitate more towards comedy queens but sometimes I’ll show up to stan for a look queen. And my fave queens who’ve never been on the show are Coco Peru (OBVIOUSLY), Horrorchata, the Boulet Brothers, Hot Chocolate, West Dakota and Miss Toto.

💜 Kiss Me Two, Prologue (Katlysska) - Melyssa
I hope you all are having a great Pride month so far. In further contribution to our flag, here is my submission for the color purple: part two of my Katlysska soulmate AU <333.
“Mama open this door!”
Alyssa couldn’t help but think of how hauntingly familiar this situation was.
Outside, Shangela pounds into her door, yelling at her to open up and that ‘it has already been three days and she should get up now’. The older drag queen wanted to scoff, because she distinctly remembers being given at least a week the last time she came back from Drag Race.
All Stars.
Now that was hauntingly familiar.
The challenges, runways and lip syncs had once again left Alyssa feeling like she’s just walked out of the most marvellous daydream the second time. However, unlike last time, she walked out of the competition with 15,000 dollars and 2 wins under her name. Her initial plan had been to walk out with 100,000 dollars and a crown of course, but Alyssa wasn’t complaining. Oh in no way in hell was she going to be ungrateful for the opportunity to say “I’ve done Drag Race twice!”
Alyssa almost wanted to laugh because the entire experience still felt so surreal to her. She’s got two returns, two chances, two wins, two lip syncs, two-
Two…
Two soulmates.
This time, a hollow laugh does leave Alyssa because she’s certain she might start crying again. It seems all she’s been doing lately, being stuck in some sense of emotional bi-polar roller coaster. If she’s not getting lost in the high of the past, she’s drowning in the reality of the present.
The present where the universe where Alyssa was given two soulmates.
...and she couldn't have any one of them.
For the umpteenth time those three days, a slight burning sensation went through Alyssa's chest. The source? The third soulmate mark lying right over her heart, who was currently sending slight tingles of pain that wasn't actually painful. Alyssa would compare it more to the feeling of strong stinging facial cosmetics. It wasn't painful, but it didn't need to be when Alyssa knew exactly what it was.
Soulmate burns.
Alyssa was having soulmate burns.
And if that was the worst part, it seems that while Alyssa couldn't have any one of them, they had each other.
Alaska- the person whose eyes changed Alyssa's very definition of black, of the night sky, of the photos of space she would see online, had been her first soulmate. She was smart, she was talented, and she was caring, attributes Alyssa would have killed to have in a partner- in a soulmate.
Katya- the attractive outgoing Russian, was Alyssa's second soulmate. She technically used to be a markless, what should her status used to be no Alyssa does not know, but most importantly, she was hers, even if it was just for one and half a day.
Alyssa didn't know how it felt to kiss Alaska, but she sure knows how it felt to kiss Katya.
For a moment, Alyssa felt like Katya was hers, but now even the universe had to take that feeling away from her. Replacing it was the feeling of betrayal she had felt when she rounded up the corridor and watched Katya and Alaska kissing.
Her two soulmates locked in each other's arms, staring into each other's eyes because underneath all that make-up, dresses and pads, they knew they had a purple lipstick mark lying on their hip and on their shoulder blade.
A slight pained noise escapes Alyssa through her teeth as pain shoots up her chest- where both of them didn't know, lied her own purple lipstick mark- the third soulmark.
Was it possible?
Alyssa didn't know. How three of them became soulmates Alyssa didn't know.
What's going to happen now?
Alyssa did not know.
What she did know however was that everything she once knew about soulmates were now on the floor in a crumble of dust and pieces. She knew that if she wasn't careful, her heart would join that pile.
'That does it' Alyssa thinks to herself once the stinging subsided. 'Maybe the universe is a bitch afterall.'
And with that final thought of the past, Alyssa launches herself off the bed, determined to face the present. Because she was going to be happy whether she had one soulmate or two.
...or even if she had none at all.

Trixie Mattel is struggling with the powers that came to her two years ago. The voices in her head nearly driving her crazy. But then she meets someone and finds out there are more people like her. Girls with superpowers. And so she becomes part of RuPaul's school for extraordinary Girls. Will she learn to controll her powers? Will she get part of the squad fighting misguided Girls? And will she finally find someone who will love her as she is?
This idea came out of nowhere and rolled over me like a big wave - I was helpless. So I had to start this FF. Hope you like it, too. I'm bad to summarize this - so just have a look and find out. It's some typical X-Men FF but with the most beautiful Girls in the world.

I visited RPDR Sorter to figure out which Drag Race queens were truly my favorites, and it may as well have told me “YOU’RE BASIC.” The list of my top twenty is under the cut, make of it what you will.
So there’s quite a few ties here, but here it is. Oh, I’ll also say it’s probably not as accurate as it could be because I kept catching myself shifting the basis on which I chose queens and finding myself unable to choose between two (mostly Monique Heart and other people).

Who was your favorite and least favorite queens of all the seasons? I'm curious :)
ok turns out i had more to say than i thought i did i don’t have a lot of friends to talk about drag race with feel free to ignore
so i have never been able to figure out how to get my grubby hands on season 1, lmk if y'all have a way that isn’t those illegal streaming sites because their links are always broken as shit, but i saw tammie brown on all stars and she’s the most bizarre thing i’ve ever encountered so i’ll go with her for my s1 fav, and my least fav is uhhhhhhh pfuuhhhh hhsghjaak rupaul
s2 my least fav was morgan she just never impressed me and i found her sort of irritating. my fav is a tie between mystique and juju. and listen. listen. juju got fucking SHAFTED. every week she came out beautiful and poised and hilarious and charming, and the judges were all, “eh :/ it’s a little costumey.” and meanwhile raven comes out looking like glam golem like she’s never even heard of a teasing comb or padding and the judges like piss themselves about it like she’s skilled im just perplexed about the judges’ repeated dismissal of jujubee and heart eyes for raven like i didn’t get it then and i don’t get it now. and tati? tati was the only one who stood up for mystique. the only one.
s3 my fav is raja 1000% i am obsessed with her runway walk. i remember when that season was airing i told one of my friends that i had a crush on her and somehow neither of us concluded that i wasn’t straight like where are we even. also love carmen like she knows herself inside and out and i respect the shit outta that. least favs were mimi and shangela like have you tried closing your mouths for four seconds ever. god.
s4, i don’t really like that season? phiphi is trash and madame lequeer was obnoxious. willam was skilled as fuck and was funny a lot, but a lot of the time she said shit that was just confusing and strange. it came across as super scripted. she still comes across as offputting to me. but i saw latrice perform once irl. she was a sweaty angel.
s5 i really liked jinkx and alaska. alyssa is a fucking crackup i love her. i love her. serena is trash. roxxxie is really skilled and polished but she came across as unnecessarily and alienatingly mean. to her credit, she knows that and she orchestrated a successful and endearing redemption arc. coco is boring except for the “i’m not jokin’ bitch!!” scene.
s6 adore was really endearing and i frankly didn’t find her as endearing in all stars lol. least fav was laganja like aside from her irritating overuse of the kiki voice i’m super over anybody who bases their entire persona around weed lmao. also? darienne lake. listen. your looks were consistently basic. i have no idea why they advanced her so far into the competition. like i told lamb this a long time ago, at least mystique didn’t have a dressform and was being bullied by her fellow contestants, what’s your excuse? bianca was fun. trinity k bonet grew so much and i was emo about it. studies show that courtney can literally go away.
s7 is my favorite season in spite of how fuckin white it was lmao. trixie mattel is my real dad. katya is the president. pearl is great violet is great ginger is great but super bitter like SUUUPER bitter. my god girl you’re a grown-ass man. kennedy, i was like what the fuck is your problem lmfao like are you not drinking enough water or something like chill. i liked her in untucked though in the ugly dress challenge she was literally just like lying around lmao. jasmine masters was cool but i hate when half of a group of people get together just to be nasty to the other half it was super mean and unnecessary. in s2 that heathers shit was so benign and the fact that all the moron pageant queens were offended indicates how tone deaf they are. when jasmine went i was like bye. nina’s impression of her in s9 was everything.
s8 was an AMAZINg season. the friendships that formed in that season were genuine and unashamed and oh man - bob? i love bob and i’ll tell you why. bob is hysterical and when she couldn’t bring the look, she sold it hard. but what i love most about her? is that she laughs really hard and genuinely at other people’s jokes lmao. she doesn’t pull any of that too-cool-for-school shit. she’s utterly unthreatened by anyone. the brief drama that came up was ALWAYS because of derrick barry, who is boring and annoying. acid betty is the worst and no amount of cynthia being like “:) she visited me in the hospital” will redeem her stank-ass attitude and ugly drag. sorry.
s9 isn’t even done yet but i love trinity and i love peppermint and i LOVED nina and i love sasha? listen. when sasha walked into the workroom day 1 i was like mkay sweetheart we get it you were inspired by alaska yawn. so it took an episode or two but she won me over hard. god she’s so odd and so talented and versatile like i had no patience for charlie, not because old queens can’t compete! just because i will never understand these queens who just go “oh i don’t do x.” like you KNOW what this show entails! why would you even apply! eureka was pointlessly nasty, aja got on my nerves for reasons i can’t really articulate, and alexis michelle was yawnzo. farrah was lmao let’s admit it she was p basic, but something about her just endears her to me maybe it’s that she’s fishy but i LOVE how much she WHINES. valentina’s stumble came as a huge shock to me she was slaying every week. and in the end that was her downfall, she lulled herself into a false sense of security. if she had learned the lyrics to that ariana song she might have been able to save herself.
