One day I’ll stop baiting and actually get around to posting the Pen Pal AU but alas, it is not today.

This could also definitely be a standalone image of these two just video chatting but mentally, it is far more significant.

I’m not completely happy with how this came out, as Procreate crashed on me and lost/deleted the entire half of Gaz’s coloring, but I think I managed to salvage it. After a big error or file loss like that I usually give up on the drawing forever because I’m too mad to work on it, but I really wanted to finish this one. Hopefully it still looks good.

Continuing my legacy of only drawing art I’m happy with when I’m exhausted

Tbh this is a pretty atypical way for me to draw my favorite gamer girl but I got inspired by this Twitter artist I follow who managed to age up their fav childhood tv characters in a way that feels like a loving homage to the original art style instead of a reinterpretation. I wanted to try that out myself. It also doesn’t hurt that I’m fairly unattached to any art style for Gaz because my interpretations never felt quite right, especially when I have to draw her face (hence my tendency to hide her face lmao). This take though felt a lot more natural, and I’m actually really happy with it. This might be my favorite Gaz I’ve drawn in a hot minute.

My plan is to keep redrawing screenshots of the show to try and hone in on a consistent form. Insp screenshot under the cut.
