eye doctor was trying not to scare me today bc i have a sight threatening condition 🥲 it's probably treatable but i need to go to a specialist

#havent been to the eye doctor in six years but i was like okay i need to update my prescription my headaches are getting really bad #and my prescription barely changed so the doctor said it wasnt that #also this other condition doesn't cause headaches either so treating it wont even help :( #tho it does make me light sensitive which is a trigger ao maybe it will help a little i hope #but mostly i hope its treatable #also i have no health insurance so hopefully its not expensive lol #but at least the job search is going well so maybe i can handle the treatment myself #but since i will go blind if its untreated my parents will definitely cover it if i cant i just feel bad #they paid for my appt to get the new prescription today too but that wasn't very much i didn't even get the new glasses #but seeing a cornea specialist regularly to treat a scary condition is going to be expensive 😭 #i dont even know how expensive yet tho #maybe i should make a gofundme or something #this has been a shitpost #im not 100% sure my parentsncan afford it if its expensive #probably depends how far its progressing and how fast andnwhat the cause is and a million other things #but i know it can be difficult and resist treatment 😰 #and its not early for catching it at all

Sam Reid as Lestat is absolutely pulling the Tom Hiddleston as Loki effect. He's playing an absolutely horrible person, like objectively, and he plays it so well. But then there's the little moments. the soft spoken, soft eyes quiet moments of genuine heart that make you just wanna cuddle him bc dammit he's a horrible person but :( he's insecure and has abandonment issues.

And if I may say something blasphemous. He's doing it BETTER than TH. He's beating Loki at the Loki Effect.

Please give Sam Reid every fucking award for IWTV. he put his whole soul into playing Lestat and it's goddamned terrifying. No man should be that good of an actor.

#sorry i think he's SO fun honestly. but it might also be bc i can not just tolerate but actively enjoy 60s comics writing #which is not an easy task. it is certainly not for everyone. but i think there is a lot to find within there for these characters #as they start to really shape themselves up. there is a lot that is just the style of the time writing. #but i think there's more in there than some people might think! #again... i think early vol 1 stuff like this does take a particular taste to enjoy if ur not dead set on trying to read as much as possible #which no one ever has to. who knows if i ever actually will catch up on all of dd. #but if ur up to it i think you can have a good time when you just understand what to expect of 60s style writing + keeping in mind a LOT of #the cultural attitudes/historical context in mind. it makes things some things definitely easier to accept and give grace to #not saying it's good or right and i def find some stuff that even for the time just feels soooo excessive #but sometimes writing even within its time is just bad lol. like everything on earth. bad writing exists everywhere always #anyways. you guys get my point on all this. as a whole im highly charmed by early vol 1 #but truly delighted as it starts to shape itself into something a little more #static.soundz

hard mode activated: trying to make myself eat when I feel nauseus with a migraine. Reason: I haven't eaten yet bc it's one of my usual "migraines after I wake up and catch up on sleep when it's both shady and sunny outside" types and I still need to eat something bc sometimes it helps me feel better too (while feeling worse at the same time)

#blabbering #i usually get migraines after waking up the next day after a work shift when it's a day off #idk my body hates it when i don't get enough sleep or when I get more than that when catching up #i get them fairly regularly (not as much as I used to after switching to contacts; but still often enough) #it's not as bad as my usual ones thankfully #but it still sucks ass and I hate how this feels #I'm mostly just complaining to make myself feel better lakjdfl #its' the dormant looming type that settles on the left side of my head and is just like; a silent threat #but also it still throbs when i move too much and i'm sensitive to light and all that #it's super annoying #it hasn't hit me 100% but most of the time I can prevent that; but even then just the partial looming dormant stage of it is enough - #- to drain me and make me feel like heck #hopefully i am still combating it early enough to salvage the rest of my day

#work tag #the new manager is absolutely awful and since hes taken over nothings been done properly #the managers that are left are sick of everything they barely do anything on shift the slackers are worse than ever #the newbies dont take anything seriously or have any common sense whatsoever so its just completely downhill #we had an EHO visit last week on the boss' close had lost a star on our rating as a result so the area manager came in a couple days later #he bollocked our boss for the way hes been acting but then he went right back to being a prick #so apparently after i left last night the district manager visited and they had to shut the store early for cleaning #but this was after my manager told me that the boss has been blaming everyone for the state of things but #when they offered to close the store and do a deep clean he refused because of money #the district manager was not happy he pulled both managers aside and now theyre gonna have to close the store for a deep clean #but they might also have to shut down temporarily to get everything sorted but the thing is since this new guy took over only about #half of the closing cleaning tasks have been being done because close is usually made up of the slackers and they just dont wanna do #anything properly its been an ongoing issue for months now and now its catching up with them cus theyve got in the habit of not doing it #one of my managers has kept saying he doesnt think the store will last until Christmas but everyone else is sure were gonna be shut #well before that point like its gotten the bad its part of why i quit #anyway i just got the rundown from my coworker who was on close when this all went down last night

juno is actually so mad bc we thought she was dead for 2 days until we heard her crying during her memorial yesterday, then she snuck back outside during the night & we thought she was really gone this time, only for her to start crying in the neighbour's driveway AGAIN, and now she's chilling with me after nearly 3 days of being thought dead

I dont think i have ever mentioned nick on this blog bc hes an oc that has. Nothing to do with kurt or in common w him but looking at him next to kurt actually is so interesting to me because they're both around the same age coming from abusive homes and trying to just do what they have to to survive and theres so many interesting parallels between them

#i think they both have this. put side to side its like. they have this spectrum of how grown up a person can be in their early 20s #kurt has a very young feeling to his age and you'd believe hes younger than he is. hes immature #hes incapable of a lot of things and depends heavily on his parents and as a single child hasn't had much opportunity to learn from others #and just generally tends to feel a lot younger especially since his trauma makes him shrink down and age regress a little #whereas nick. hes spent so many years being the older brother and while he did have joe being older he still felt this huge responsibility #and he put it on himself to be the protector of his brothers esp when joe went to college so he had to grow up young #and his history of abusing substances has in many ways aged him #and he has this thing this. he got out of that house and he got free but the moment his brothers need him he moves back in #he faces down the abuse again and almost dies for it because his brothers needed him #and its something kurt never experiences because he never has the protective drive for a sibling #when he ends up back at that house it is because kurt feels too weak to stand on his own feet #when nick does it its because he knows he can be strong enough to endure long enough to protect his brothers #and theres a Lot about nick that makes him more grown up than kurt emotionally #and i do think being a single dad to a baby is very very heavily involved in that but thats a whole other thing #if/when kurt has a baby he shifts to be more grown up tok but thats not the point of this #i started this saying they have nothing in common but they r v similar actually and maybe they should kiss #i ship a lot of my muses w kurt simply bc he deserves all the love #god i love nick i miss him catch me yelling on my multi ab him
