It’s not as charming… But can you blame him? He's just a real traditional boyfriend who wants to do all those romantic gentlemanly tasks—pick you up from work and take you out to eat and buy you jewelry, and all he ever expects you to do in return is put out—give him a blowjob here and there and a little strip-tease before letting him fuck your brains out. -While Ratio can have lots of patience for people of all walks of life, he has found a challenge within you and your form of intellect.. -Once he caught you losing nearly all your money against Aventurine, stating “third time's the charm”. YOU DON’T EVEN KNOW POKER?! Even Aventurine was laughing along in all the confusion one can show without being odd, and he had to say he wouldn’t have taken the money, this was just a ‘friendly-fire’ sort of thing, he says. Well that’s lucky for you, considering you had rent and food to pay for!

-He drags you away while you jest about it and also apologize too, because he looks like he’ll explode

-Ratio may or may have not hit the top of your head with his codex..once or twice, but it’s all in good spirits - trust

-He really does mean well, especially if he seriously sees you struggling with something. He won’t hand you the answers on a silver platter unless it's a last resort sort of thing, but he would prefer to guide you to the answer, basically making you think outside the box and such until you arrive at the answer yourself. He is always open to advice and keeps an open mind, and with that he could entertain an idea you may have, yes.. even the more... silly ones. But also be ready to be shut down immediately for the absurd ideas you may bring up. He doesn't waste time nor does he like or plan to.

-Dr. Ratio is the voice of reason in your life, and he's there to reel you back to the ground when you may be getting ideas for something that would not benefit you, or god forbid - if you plan to do something risky that could harm you or your reputation.

-He often goes out of his way to make sure you’re doing things on schedule, so waking you up, sending you a message to eat (no crisps, go eat something good, something healthy), he’d send you articles about things he remembers interest you, papers on your favored topics

-A more tender thing he does is do your hair. It’s a simple thing yet it means a lot to him and you. Just a few minutes of quiet as his fingers thread or comb through your hair, brushing through it with meticulous moves, making sure he doesn’t pull or yank.

I’m still on HoH, so I haven’t seen all the Jasico interactions yet, only some.

I 1000% ship them platonically, I 0% ship them romantically.

I am LOVING how Jason keeps accidentally befriending all these tiny traumatised orphaned autistic boys, and is just like “Whopsie daisy! Welp, I guess I have no choice but to be their safe space now, silly me!”

I am such a hypocrite bc, while I’ve written Valgrace fanfiction that is almost 6,000 words long, I ABSOLUTELY INSIST that Jason is the Token Straight friend. He is an Ally. He is so wholesome and sweet and supportive of Nico. I love how he was a little confused at first, like the clueless heterosexual that he is (“Why is Nico so worried about revealing his crush on Annabeth?”), but as soon as Jason.exe started to function he was IMMEDIATELY smothering Nico with love and support. He is that mom that goes to Pride Parades and offers free hugs. He’s that mom who sits in the front row of the school musical and yells “THAT’S MY GAY SON, NICO, PLAYING VILLAGER #3!!! HE’S GAY AND I LOVE HIM AND HE’S MY SON AND HE’S GAY!!!!”

Seriously, where are the Wine Mom Jason Headcannons?

But Jason’s whole “If anyone gives you shit, they will have to face my wrath,“ thing, and how he’s absolutely adamant that the others will support him, and if they don’t then fuck ‘em-

No, he doesn’t entirely understand it, but he doesn’t have to understand it to know that he loves you.

Jason being super supportive and protective of Nico is 100% in character for him as well, seeing as how he’s also the only one who sees through Leo’s mask, and is generally a massive softie and too pure for this world.

Yes, I have read the spoilers. Yes, I am completely denying the fact that he’s gonna die.

As for romance? No.

I think it’s beautiful to have good, strong, platonic dynamics.

Nico doesn’t need a boyfriend from Jason. He needs a friend. He needs someone who will love and support him unconditionally. Jason doesn’t love Nico in any romantic way. He’s just a supportive lil’ guy. He just sees this weird small emo kid and he sees him hurting and is now determined to be his friend. That’s what I love about Jason.

So yes, I ship them platonically but not romantically.

Heyyyy!! I just read your “goodbye love you flew right by” it was absolutely AMAZING!! It was so heartbreaking and wonderful!!! I am an avid hater of that Jeid scene where she confesses her “love” because to it was so lazy on the writers end and a pretty stupid secret to me because nothing can be done and it’s just so silly for her to come up w that especially when we’ve seen how much she loves Will and the boys, but your fic made it sooo yummy and angsty and romantic !!

Loved the triangle aspect of them dating and JJ being their best friend. I also loved the argument outside afterwards 💋🤌🏻 it was so incredibly well written! chefs kiss 10/10

hi… first of all thank you so much! 😭🤭 would you believe i got inspired for that fic while i was sleep deprived … i have never been a jeid shipper… when i was younger (aka a 17 year old with an unhealthy attachment to spencer reid lol) i despised them so terribly, but i think now (especially during my latest rewatch) i have grown to appreciate jeid . i don’t ship them, but i do think they made a point to have jj be an anchor for spencer in certain ways && i think in certain instances he was an anchor for jj as well.

all that to say… I do not think they should’ve made it a plot line one season shy of the end of the show… it felt very out of place… at least to me. i read this character analysis that basically said the storyline fit better for hotchniss rather than jeid && i agree, but ofc with so many of the originals being displaced by that point in the series... it sort of made sense that they'd go that route when they had no one else to turn to... but that doesn't mean it wasn't such a lazy left field sort of thing. i feel like the writers overestimated themselves & what they'd established for jj & spencer. jj definitely COULD have become attracted / grown to love spencer... but i would never say she felt that he was her "first love"... it just- agh anyways.

i also think casey's reaction validates your feelings. that secret was not all that lol. it didn't have any real pushback or point because the only people that really knew were jj & spencer... it didn't do much narratively, it didn't change their motivations... it didn't strengthen their bond or anything of the sort... it mostly just gave matthew + aj the room to be able to flirt with one another (which is fine lol) but i agree it's always been a pet peeve of mine...

i think what was most important with writing that piece was that i wanted to move away from the narrative that jj was some monster... it was a really stupid thing to say LOL, but she's not some horrible woman, because she fell for her best friend. which was why she was so clearly guilty... i don't care much for the villanization of her .

all that to say.... i honestly felt like that was a weak plot... it became so overdone (writing the jeid confession with spencer in a relationship) but i have been so excited + relieved to see all the love and people that enjoy the route that i went. this message is so incredibly sweet & i am so appreciative of you taking the time to check out my work !! i am definitely planning a part 2 , i can't wait to share it with you all.

its so funny to get asked this knowing that I can't reveal too much about Neves without spoiling a bunch of things from my fic, despite that I would love nothing more to spill all her lore......what I CAN tell you is that she was sent to the Lands of the Old Faith for a very particular reason and she's kept safe by the Lamb for a reason too. She comes from a pastoralist/agrarian upbringing and spent the entirety of her life in this profession (hint hint). Livestock, land cultivation, and the demoralizing poverty in a society that does not value such work and considers it a degrading role for outliers! you know, the usual. She talks like a farmer and a butcher, which is how u get silly stuff like THIS happening when she's getting to know the Lamb and their Flock:

(She's talking like a butcher here, which obviously is off-putting for the Lamb, mostly because they can't quite gather context, and she does....make a lot of jokes like this but. She's just human you know!)

Neves is firm in her convictions and is stubbornly attached to the idea of her own righteousness. She's just too smart to be misled.

She believes herself above indoctrination, of course.

She has too much wit

Still thinking about Hozier and am currently feeling incredulous about the “fairy goblin gentle bog man” perception so many people have of him. WHERE did that all come from??? Solely from Wasteland, Baby???? Listening back to self titled is insane because nearly all of the songs are overtly or subtextually sexual or political, or both! Take Me to Church goes straight into Angel of Small Death and the Codeine Scene, there’s a brief upbeat interlude with Someone New but goes right back into it with To Be Alone. It Will Come Back. Foreigner’s God!! The “goblin”est songs off this album as far as I can pick are In a Week and Like Real People Do, and even those are so much richer than -core ing them enables them to be. For 2014 I’d say this is music that borders on gritty and morbid, it’s not designed to be palatable. AND YET!! The complexity of Hozier’s music being boiled down to an easily accessible aesthetic makes me want to 💥💥💥‼️

#this is definitely not anything that hasn’t already been said but I haven’t listened 2 self titled in a while and I went at it +#from the perspective of someone listening to Hozier for the first time and was frankly stunned by the sexuality and messaging #of basically every song.
