“Women matter on their own, not in relation to a man. We all deserve the right to bodily autonomy and to be treated with respect and dignity. To say ‘stop’ and be heard; instead of pushed, derided and told that a man knows more about our basic rights and desires than we do. Women are not made whole by men. Women are made whole the moment they enter this world.”

i just finished anne with an e and omg, it’s so so so good and funny and heartwarming. the ending was *chef’s kiss* wonderful, i love it.
AND IT IS MUCH GAYER THAN THE BOOK SERIES AND I LOVE IT. anne is so bisexual, like the way she and diana were holding hands, blowing kisses, and saying that they love each other is so gay??? aunt josephine is a lesbian and cole is gay?? i fucking love it.
im in depths of despair because the show is cancel and there wont be a season 4

gilbert and anne being academic rivals but also idiots in love who don’t realize their feelings for so long and decide leaving letters in others’ hands is the best way to confess their love in the eleventh hour

A couple weeks ago I did edits of my versions of the post canon calamity trio. Now that we have actual post canon designs, I figured why not edit those?

I just realized they are not talking about cows and this is brilliant. Because at this point she admitted her love for Gilbert but still doesn't know the full story so she just makes up her own as she rips Gilbert's letter 🫠
But it also goes with Mathew confronting the fact that Anne is going to collage and he cannot accept the way he is feeling, so she thinks he doesn't love her anymore.
It only took me watching this scene 2874783 times to realize this...

“You can’t know joy …unless you’ve known sorrow. Those of us who can soar to the highest heights can also plunge to the deepest depths.”
“It’s a balance.”
“That’s the beauty of it.”
That’s right. And I adore characters that represent that. I don’t ever just want to see the good in a character that I observe and engage with in art/entertainment. Frankly, despite how bad it may sound, it’s not that interesting to have a character doing good all the time. And it’s not realistic. Balance is the key. Always. You learn so much more from the representation of both the ups and downs and highs and lows and the good and bad than you ever will with a character that only ever represents one or the other.
I choose morally grey characters because they’re the realist ones. And if they’re that real - I can relate and resonate with them. That’s what I really care about.

I’ve just caught up to where I left off with Anne with an E--due to not having Netflix, not lack of interest in continuing--and I’m so thankful that Cole’s coming out to Jo Barry happens before he comes out to Anne.  Even though they respond in similar ways, the advice carries a lot more weight coming from an old lesbian than from his straight classmate

While I totally do understand not including Sasha and Marcy’s parents in the series because they felt there was not enough time left to do it in a satisfying way, what I don’t understand is why they included a scene of Anne sending letters to their parents if they were never going to do anything with it.
