In regards to solving sheep; what parts of Grian did the Watchers take to make Three?

In an earlier chapter you said Jimmy had like 1/3s of him. Was that all Jimmy could carry? Were there parts left behind?

If so, does the guilt just eat him up inside?

Did the Watcher’s do some grave robbing like?

And since the Watcher’s probably have Grian’s head, how did they make Three whole?

Did the just make Three regrow those parts? Are they other people’s parts.

What are the parts and how is it fully/able-bodied?!?

oh I’ll go ahead and answer this in two ways.

watsonian answer: yeah, grian was mostly dismembered, and jimmy only managed to carry Some Of Him. at one point I was going to make reference to grian losing an arm, ala winter soldier. as for how the watchers made three, we’ve established that process as a thing that involves undoing and remaking the vessel, that three says could repair anything as long as the watchers still have the heart. additionally, jimmy establishes that in his case, the only reason his leg wasn’t healed is because he refused to forget, since that process causes you to lose yourself. so in total… yeah the damage was repaired since the watchers had the greater part of grian.

doylist answer: thematically this doesn’t matter so I didn’t go into that much detail on it; I emphasized the emotional details of how three was made/remade more than the physical ones because the way everyone REACTED to all of this mattered way more than the mechanics. the physical details here largely exist to serve the emotional themes.

honestly? longer than you might think. After explaining things to Koichi's mom, she makes sure that Yasuho is much more careful when it comes to visiting. Paisley makes things even easier and erases any digital records, so there's that

but of course, she isn't able to stay off their radar forever, ESPECIALLY when she starts dating Toru. She's never made aware of the fact he knows, but they do

however....... the Mori-hole actually also isn't as useful as they hoped. It's a portal to another universe, of course they thought of all the ways they could use it! ......but as we've seen, the Rokakaka fruits, specifically the plants, are incredibly delicate. They need very close and careful monitoring, and if things go wrong for even a little bit the whole plant can die (maybe this also sparks a theory/rumor that the other side is toxic and slowly kills you or something? It's untrue obviously, but that could add an interesting mild conflict with some investigation)

so..... yeah the Rokakaka fruits aren't able to survive being stored on the other side. This doesn't mean the hole doesn't have its uses, but the biggest one has been rendered null so while they make sure only a handful of people actually know about it, it's not regarded as a priority and they let Yasuho go back and forth as she pleases

what they do do is keep close tabs on anyone who comes through. After all...... they still have no idea what the hell this thing is. It's not just a hole in time, it's leading somewhere completely different where there are differences that range from small and inconsequential to enormous, history altering events. Who knows if the people on the other side are even human, hell, who knows if this was even caused by a Stand of if it's from some other power they don't understand yet

Koichi of course gets the most of their attention. Rohan, the rest of the Duwang Gang when Koichi eventually shares, occasionally Jotaro, sure they all pop over on occasion, but as far as they can see Koichi has been coming here the longest and knows Yasuho the best. He's the most regular anomaly, claiming to be Yasuho's sibling which she readily and openly accepts. They've got a whole file on him from their observations, and while they don't know what to do about it...... he is being watched

an absolute travesty we only had the DoctorDonnax2 for like half an hour total. can you Imagine the chaos. the doctor is all like "he was born in fire and blood and war" because hating himself and his choices is his oldest pastime and lookee here! free doctor he can blame and boot out of the tardis! i think they were indicating that blue had donna's memories, but i adore the concept of them having a twin telepathy thing.

the doctor is right to be scared. there are now two people in the tardis who have ALL the context to call him out about his decisions. one is him, who we already know he Despises. one is his best friend, who's literally carrying a piece of him right after he's had the idea that he turns everyone he lets close into the worst parts of himself planted in his head. both of them are part donna and therefore categorically incapable of letting him comfortably retreat into his drama persona and avoid his problems. both of them are also part timelord and therefore he can't "i'm a 900yo alien from the most advanced civilization in the world, i am Unknowable" his way out of it. there's two of them, so they're ready to tag-team him into oblivion.

picture it. we get another donna season. it's just the doctor trying desperately to run away from his worst nightmare of being Known and Loved and Called Out On His Bullshit and the DoctorDonna twins chasing him down with cheerful bloodlust. incredible.

Hi anon,

So about half of characters in the Birthday series actually aren't in the omegaverse* world, and therefore don't have scents. And of the ones who are, almost all of them are in the stories as AUs and not as main stories.

It's a cool idea though, I'll have a think about it going forward, maybe in the trivia section or a quick facts section, but most folks here aren't here for the Underline series, and were here for the Fae Tales stuff. Just like I'm not necessarily including everyone's alignment (Seelie/Unseelie) or fae species. These things are very specific to certain universes! The character birthdays definitely aren't just the Underline folks, and even when it is, those folks often started in stories that have nothing to do with the omegaverse series. :D

(The colours picked aren't the character's favourite colours! They're the colours I personally associate with the vibe/mood/energy of the character :D Nate doesn't love royal blue - he'd probably find it a bit overbearing as far as blues go - but I think it fits him best).

*Just a note to not use a/b/o without the forward slashes, because that's a really bad slur for Aboriginal people in Australia, and it's why I repeatedly use omegaverse or a/b/o! There are Indigenous folks from Australia who read my stuff and I'd just rather them not see the slur at all, thanks! :)

beyond the spiderverse speculation/unhinged babbling that i hope is true

okay fam just got out of the Across the Spiderverse theater and I have-- a few theories. Well-- more like hopeful speculation that gets more and more outlandish as we go out, so-- please bear with me for a couple paragraphs. Spoilers under the cut.

Okay this is heavily based on assumptions and logic and what I personally noticed from the movie and how I personally think the Spider-Verse runs on, so please bear the hell with me.

I think Miguel’s canon theory is incorrect and that the multiverse has ways of self balancing itself because of Miles’ self correction. He had canon events like the death of Uncle Aaron, IE his Uncle Ben moment. It’s also established that it’s possible for multiverses to exist without canon events/canon events can be tweaked, such as Gwen’s dad quitting, and Mayday existing. It's also implied that if there's a Spider-Vacuum, so to speak, that universe will seek to fill it. Like Miles getting bitten to cover for Peter Parker's death. Ik this theory also works in reverse, like if there's too many Spider-People from one universe, one of them is going to die. But it also assumes the existence of Spider-Vacuum, because of all the Spider-People get bitten at the right time/place. If a universe needs a Spider-Person/will need a Spider-Person, someone's getting bit.

So if it's established that the multiverse can self-regulate itself, then it follows that Earth 42 needs a Spider-Person and that the multiverse/his universe is currently acting to try to fill that Spider-Person vacuum. You can argue that The Prowler is technically this universe's Spider-Person, but if we're going by what seems to be the multiverse's logic AND NOT MIGUEL'S-- that being someone needs to get bit by a radioactive spider and become a "hero" so to speak-- and someone from Earth 42 is gonna have to get bit.

IE-- Prowler Miles.

This is speculation held together by duct tape, spit, and prayers, but I think that due to the timey wimey multiversality, etc etc, kinda bullshit shenanigans of the next movie, Earth 42 Miles is gonna get bit by a radioactive spider, maybe have his canon event of Uncle Aaron dying (big emphasis on maybe there because the death his dad can act as both canon events and its established they can be tweaked), and take up the mantle of Spider-Man. Albeit more of an antihero, and influenced by Uncle Aaron. Because his neighborhood is not friendly and they need a tougher Spider-Man.

Think abt it, if Miles WAS supposed to be Spider-Man in his universe AND in Earth 42, it makes sense that Prowler Miles would eventually get bit, even if it takes more time then usual. He ALSO HAS the canon events of Uncle Ben/the police captain (just consolidated into one person-- hey tweaked canon event!), and there's a Spider-Man vacuum in his home universe. It would also back up the idea that Miguel's idea is wrong, because the universe fixed its "mistake" and solved the "anomaly" by itself. It's proof that the multiverse doesn't need a Spider-Cop for the rest of the Spider-People, and he needs to take a goddamn chill pill and let the Miles Moraleses do their thing.

Hell, maybe these dimensional rifts in the first place are the multiverses' attempts to self-regulate and get a radioactive spider into Earth 42, but Miguel keeps fucking it up and that's why Spot was created. To FORCE Earth 42 Miles into the wider multiverse AND GET HIM BIT whether he wants to be bit or not. This last paragraph is probably not true at ALL-- but i wanted to throw it out there because I don't believe in consistency, like Hobie.

Plus an antihero Spider-Man that's taken some hits/had some bad influences in his life would reinforce the idea that "anyone can wear the mask". Sure, Miles G Morales was the Prowler, and he made some bad choices. His methods are unorthodox even by Spider-Person standards. But he's still Spider-Man, and that mask is his regardless of how it got there. Just like it belongs to OG Miles as well. So c'mon people, let's do this one last time--

TL;DR: Prowler Miles is a late bloomer Spider-Man and is gonna totally own Miguel with multiversal facts and logic.

Hello! I've recently read your fic "Across the Skies," and I found it to be a great read and a very interesting concept! My favorite lu character is Sky, so seeing him interact with all the Links and Zeldas was a lot of fun! :))))

I have a question, but if you don't want to answer, you really don't have to - are we going to keep meeting different Links or are we going to see the full chain together in the following chapters? Again, if you think this is too much spoilers you don't need to answer.

I will say that we're going to be seeing the full chain fairly soon. I'd recommend taking another look at the work summary, as that may give you a hint as to how many Sky meets separately (the wording isn't super specific, but the hint is there!). Regardless, the full chain meetup is coming closer and closer!

In regards to your first comment, I feel like Sky gets along with all the Zeldas, so I'm glad you like seeing that! I've been trying to put in a little bit in each chapter, lol. He's just so huggable and friendly until you piss him off :).

Your Honor, you don't understand, with the confirmation of multiple Gwens in Beyond, not only do I need to have Gwenon in the movie, she needs to be completely unhinged.

Batshit crazy levels for real.

I need to look at her and send shivers down my spine, feel that intimidating aura and be both scared and in awe. She needs to have a slightly murderous, off-kilter smile. Rock has to be her main ost. A sarcastic and acidic personality. That those blue eyes are less the summer sky and more glacial cold.

This Gwen (who is traumatized and probably already lost her father in her universe) has a freaking sibionte! The thing that is fundamental villains in the Hobbie universe and is directly responsible for Peni's devastating canonical event. I'm talking about a face if an ally on the enemy's body kind of narrative. Think of the huge potential of it! A Gwen who is always on the verge of causing Havoc and talks to Venom in front of everyone and makes jokes about eating people. A Gwen that is so similar yet so different from the Gwen we know. A mirror for her like 42! Miles is for our Miles.

And of course, a Gwen who despite all the chaos still has a soft spot for Miles after all, because she is still a Gwen after all.

I need to see this.
