So I’ve just seen this tweet and…
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
…so I know the dates here are from the Wiki and therefore not necessarily all canon, but that’s not what I wanted to talk about (for once).
My question is:
Who is “Michael Vaas”? 😅

I'm so, so sick of seeing posts where people act like or make jokes that all of Giancarlo's more recent villain characters are the same, along with people saying they're sick of Giancarlo playing the same role over and over. Sure, I understand if you want to see him in a different role from a "smart" villain, HOWEVER, Gus Fring is NOT at all the same character as Moff Gideon, and neither are the same as Stan Edgar, and all of them are not the same as Antón Castillo.

Far Cry 6, (Male) Dani with the prompts 53 and 14 of your list of prompts, scenario? - 🐈
Not done with Far Cry 6, probably not even close, but I felt I had to write this! Sorry it's short, I had a scene I wanted to do and had no build up.... I'd need something specific to make it longer most likely ^^;
I appreciate feedback! Not fully proofread, expect mistakes.
Yandere! Male! Dani Rojas Prompts 53 + 14
"I left you a few voice mails, why didn't you pick up?"
"It's too dangerous in the world. You need me, you should know that!"
Pairing: Romantic/Platonic
Possible Trigger Warnings: Gender-Neutral Darling, Obsession, Fear of loss/abandonment, Overprotective behavior, Slight angst, Threats, Soft yandere, He just worries in this, Dubious companionship/relationship.
Tumblr media
"I left you a few voice mails, why didn't you pick up?" Dani spits but you can tell his tone was frantic. He seemed angry but it wasn't entirely due to anger. You knew that look and tone... Dani was scared for you.
In a world filled with unjust violence and rebellion... can he really be blamed?
"Hey, where's your phone... show me!" Dani orders as you hesitantly fish it from your pocket. He takes it and tries to turn it on. "Why's it off?"
"Dani, I was just busy planning with some other rebel groups, I didn't have time to charge it-" You try to explain, fear evident on your face at Dani's glare.
"I need you to have your phone on at all times..." Dani sighs, mumbling a curse under his breath. "What if something happened to you?"
"I'm safe, I was with the others!" You plead but it does nothing to soothe Dani's worry.
"... I can't lose you." Dani sighs. "If I couldn't come help you... I'd lose you. You're all I have in Yara."
"Dani..." You try to reason but Dani cuts you off.
"Antón Castillo would've had you killed like a rabid dog!" Dani yells. "You'd be shot to make a point!"
When you visibly flinch back, Dani softens his behavior a bit. He sighs softly and walks up to you. You don't make any attempt to move and are surprised when he wraps his arms around you to embrace you.
"Look... It's too dangerous in the world. You need me, you should know that." Dani whispers. "You're way too precious to lose. I need to be able to contact you, anything could happen."
Dani looks you in the eyes briefly... he grits his teeth at the idea of what the military could've done to you if he didn't come back.
"You understand... don't you?" Dani asks. "I can't bear to see you killed out there. I have to protect you."
"I'm sorry, Dani...." You mumble, Dani merely clicks his tongue.
"I'll ask Juan to give you a microphone set up like me, I don't like being unable to contact you." Dani sighs before pulling away. You nod in response as Dani leans on a wall in front of you.
"If Castillo touches a hair on your head... I'll kill him. Not just for Yara, but for myself." Dani seethes.
"I'm going to protect you..." Dani smiles... but you see it's more out of stress than anything genuine.
"No matter how much blood is on my hands... I'll make Yara safe for you."

🦁 Diego Castillo x Reader platonic Oneshot I won't let them kill you 🌇
You've never been a part of Libertad. Initially, you were waging your own solo war. You shot soldiers, hiding their bodies in the jungle, leaving no traces behind and helping ordinary people you met. However, after meeting Dani, your life has changed. You didn't become a part of Libertad, but you traveled around Yara with your new friend and helped liberate your homeland. However, the closer you got to victory, the more you began to worry about what was to come after. You doubted that after the death of Antón Castillo, everything would suddenly be fine in the country. You were worried about what would happen to his son. Diego was just a kid who had no choice but to follow his father's instructions. Dani told you about his first meeting with the boy and how his attempt at disobedience ended. You didn't want the boy to be killed during this revolution. Dani supported you in this and even suggested that the three of you leave when the revolution is over, if of course Diego himself agrees to it. You saw Clara's death and remembered how you shouted at Juan because he almost killed Diego. You were firmly convinced that you would take responsibility for Diego after his father's death. That's what you told his father when you and Dani fought your way to him. You understood that they might not have listened to you, but when you saw how he gently pushed the boy away from him and then said goodbye to his life, you felt your heart ache painfully. You didn't hear the others come in. You sat down next to Diego, who was struggling to hold back tears. When you hugged him, you felt the shoulder of your T-shirt start to get wet from his tears. You stroked his back soothingly, perfectly aware of the views of the others.
"Don't worry chamaco, I won't let them kill you..."
You didn't care how the others reacted to your decision. You weren't going to let anyone hurt that boy.

Far Cry: Cull the Herd #0 review
The first issue of the manga is out! Here are my thoughts on it :)
Tumblr media
Spoilers for Primal’s ending below and slight spoilers for the manga itself, but it’s pretty short and just the prologue so not much happens anyway.
You can download this pilot here for free. Remember to read it from right to left!
So, I was wondering who the two teenagers on the cover were, and the answer is Antón Castillo on the right (who looks more like Diego, I think), and on the left… his sister Valeria.
Valeria Castillo is a new character, never mentioned in Far Cry 6 and created for the manga. We aren’t told if she’s older or younger than Antón, but it’s clear she has a strong and caring personality. I’m not sure she can be considered canon since it seems the game’s writing team wasn’t involved (their names don’t appear anywhere), but the idea of Antón not being an only child actually makes sense since he has a nephew!
As explained in the official description, Cull the Herd is about Batari, one of Primal’s two main antagonists, magically abducting some of the franchise’s iconic villains when they were still teenagers, making them fight against each other in prehistoric times, and… this is pretty much all that happens in this free “prelude”. In fact, the “battle royale” hasn’t even started yet.
The comic opens with Batari’s demise at the hands of Takkar, and I think the scene looks a little graphic for the manga’s rating (13+), but maybe it’s just me. As she’s mortally burnt and wondering why “evil always wins”, a mysterious, goddess-like being (possibly Suxli) speaks to her and decides it’s time to “play a game” to determine what the “nature of evil” is.
We then see a 13-year-old Antón working in Yara’s tobacco fields in 1967, as we know he was forced into labor by the revolutionaries. There are differences between the story told in the game and what we see in Cull the Herd, though, but it’s probably because canon doesn’t really matter in the manga.
Aside from the fact that Antón has a sister, it appears his father is still alive in the comic when, in Far Cry 6, he had already been executed at this point. On the other hand, although she only died in 2007 and always remained close to him, his mother Yolanda is never mentioned. We don’t see Antón’s pruning knife either, but maybe we will in future issues.
That said, again, I’ll have to refrain from focusing on the accuracy of the events presented in Cull the Herd too much since it’s just a semi-official crossover alternate universe, much like Captain Laserhawk (which I really enjoyed). Not everything is going to be faithful to the games, but since the manga series is a supernatural retelling of some of the characters’ stories, it’s not supposed to be.
This pilot is only a taste of what’s coming next, and in my opinion, it’s an effective teaser. I don’t know if the other issues will be free and fully colored as well, but I’m curious where the story is going to go, which characters will be involved, and what will happen to them. In my opinion, the story looks promising.
Don’t read Far Cry: Cull the Herd if you’re just interested in gathering more information about some of the Far Cry antagonists’ pasts; it’s clearly not canon. Now, if you’re a fan of the franchise, want to read a crossover story featuring reinterpretations of your favorite characters as teenagers, see how they survive in this nightmarish scenario, discover what “evil” is, and if it truly always wins, this manga may be for you :)

All Things Yara:
Santo Gusto Coffee Company
When you think of Yara, you might immediately think: tobacco, Viviro™, guns, and crocodiles, but did you know that Yara grows, produces, packages, and distributes its very own coffee.
Tumblr media
Founded in 1882, Santo Gusto Café has been enjoyed by Yaran from all walks of life from the peasant toiling the fields to our very own El Presidente, Antón Castillo.
Growing Coffee
If you want the best coffee, you start with the best soil. Our coffee is grown in the lush foothills of Robustas Hills in El Este region.
Tumblr media
One of many coffee plantations in Robustas Hills, Sierra Perdida, El Este.
Individual farms grow the coffee under strict regulation by the Yaran government. They use only organic and 100% natural fertilizer.

Growing coffee is certainly a labour of love.

Harvesting and Processing the Beans
Small individual farms around the Sierra Perdida province grow, harvest, and locally process the raw beans. They are hand picked, cleaned, and dried in the Yaran sun. Afterwards, the coffee beans are sent to Santo Gusto Coffee Factory for further processing and packaging for distribution.

Santo Gusto Coffee Factory
Every stage of coffee production is highly regulated by the government of Yara to ensure top quality of the final product, and for this, there is constant FND (Fuerzas Nacionales de Defensa) presence on location at the processing facility. Moreover, cameras, security systems and armed guards make approaching the facility problematic, let alone visiting it.

However we were able to grant ourselves temporary access to the factory grounds  - by means which will not be disclosed here - and got to play factory workers for a day for the sake of this article.

Jobs! Jobs! Jobs!
Coffee is an important industry for Yara’s economy and makes up for ehhh 37% of all jobs. It is responsible for creating employment for countless Yarans, from farmers, factory workers, to delivery truck drivers, and coffee shop owners.

Sponsoring Street Racing?
Santo Gusto Café is itself overseen and partly funded by Yara’s government, but the company remains independent enough to sponsor community events. It is the main sponsor for a highly popular annual street race.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
The race sets out from the small community of Santo Domingo.
Tumblr media
Santo Domingo, Sierra Perdida, El Este.
The course twists and turns through the muddy trails of Robustas Hills and anyone with a pickup with decent enough suspension can take part.

Contestants don’t race against one another simultaneously, but rather against the clock for muddy glory. This is to keep the event relatively safe since the course does run through a main road as well.

If you enjoyed this article and would like to learn more about activities, places, events, and all things Yara, come back and visit this page often and follow us on Tumblr!
Tumblr media
Stay tuned for an exclusive guided tour INSIDE the factory!
Editor's Notes:
Coffee growers being so strictly regulated by the Yaran government, some take it upon themselves to grow a little extra and sell it on the side. You gotta make a living wage somehow.
Tumblr media
Also, don't be fooled: orgánico, shmorgánico. The wind doesn’t care about your feelings and PG-240 compound IS in your coffee. Lo siento.
