ik antivaxxers are nowhere near as common but goddamn i hate them so much. specifically when they say 'guys they give you autism'. not only is that completely untrue, it also means 'id rather have a dead child than an autistic child' which is absolutely heartbreaking.
there are, of course, other types of antivaxxers, most notably those who believe it's the government trying to chip you, and while they still annoy me, they at least make me laugh a bit. it just really demonstrates how much people hate autism, which, unsurprisingly, upsets me as an autistic person.
im just glad i wasn't this age around the time the mmr antivaxxers were going round, or i'd be so much more upset.

I am just so sick of admins protecting people being actively harmful to the disabled community under the guise of "preventing ableism".
Assuming every person who says something misinformed or foolish online is mentally disabled is ACTUAL ableism. Expecting marginalized people to be able to spend mental energy and time to educate every person who shows nothing but intention to harm their community is fucked up.
Sometimes you only have the energy to just call them an idiot.
