My secret dream for Haruka as a character ever since I played this substory is that once Haruto's a little older and all the kids at morning glory are out in the world doing their own thing she ends up having a little streak of Kiryu in her, i.e not being able to mind her own business so she ends up helping solve a mystery or two around Okinawa and catches the detective bug which leads her to getting her P.I license- And this is how we get a grown up Haruka protag game.

#she of course has to go back to kamurocho bc some big mystery only she can solve is happening there #and Yuta stays home with the kid (s)?#Then we get to see Haruka interacting with old cast members as she investigates #and they're all like Omg Haruka chan youre so grown up :')#so its cute and all #Ough she can run into Kaito and Sugiura and get help from them too #tie the judgment games in #anyway yeah <3 #it wont happen but boy itd be fun #AND she gets to punch

thanks for the encouragement y’all heehoo <3 here’s my unsolicited opinions about saw 2004, as someone who’s too squeamish to watch the movie in its entirety but has read a lot about it and also watched plenty of clips from it, so i know the gist even if i might not know every single detail.

plenty of people have made every point i’m about to make much more eloquently and with more evidence backing it up. for all of these, assume the source is “dude trust me.”

anyway tl;dr adam is trans of gender and also gay and also alive. thank you for your time.

content warnings: i’m not gonna talk in detail about any of the torture or gore. i’m not here for that. i’m here for the little gay people. HOWEVER, it’s gonna be mentioned, so tread lightly.

i think i’m just gonna copy-paste the frantic rant i sent in one of my discord servers, with a few more points added.

1. lawrence and adam are chained up together in a small, filthy bathroom and essentially told to find their way out in the next few hours, whatever it takes. also lawrence is tasked with killing adam as part of that, b/c if he doesn’t then his family will be killed, because i guess fighting for your own survival isn’t enough huh.

2. a significant amount of the trap’s elements are designed to make lawrence and adam distrust and be hostile to each other. and yeah that’s kinda The Point and that does happen. but this leads into my next two points.

3. lawrence does ultimately shoot adam to save himself and his family, but MAN.... he doesn’t shoot adam anywhere that would actually kill him. he shoots him in the shoulder. which, yeah, if that’s not treated that can still kill him, and it’d ultimately be a much slower and more painful death, but it’s SOMETHING... yeah you could argue he just didn’t know how to aim or whatever but i’m choosing to believe he didn’t actually WANT to kill adam

3. OKAY I’M THINKING ABOUT THIS A LOT... and yeah this is probably another case of Watch The Actual Movie Idiot but the movie makes a point to say Several Times that adam is a very angry person, and yeah on some level he is! he’s rude and mean and clearly has a lot of pent up shit.

but it’s hard to actually judge him based on his actions in the movie because this is uh.... an extreme situation. and even then the only time he’s ever actually violent towards another person is when he fucking kills someone to save lawrence. and arguably himself, but AFTER LAWRENCE SHOOTS HIM.... IT WOULD BE SO EASY TO JUST LET ZEP KILL HIM. BUT NO ADAM FUCKING BEATS THE SHIT OUT OF ZEP AND KILLS HIM, EVEN WHILE ACTIVELY BLEEDING FROM A SHOULDER WOUND.

4. WAHOO POINT FOUR..... OKAY SO THIS IS THE THING I THINK EVERYONE I’VE SEEN IN THE FANDOM IS OBSESSED WITH. but yeah even while actively bleeding to death, instead of immediately seizing the chance to escape, lawrence takes the time to crawl over to adam and comfort him and press their foreheads together. and he tells him over and over that they’re going to be okay, that he’s not going to just leave adam there to die, that he’s going to get help and they’ll both get out of there. VERY much lessening his chances of escaping by taking precious time to make sure adam is okay.

(also yeah i know lawrence ultimately never does come back, or at least he only comes back years and years later when adam is already dead and gone, but i choose to believe that’s not because he didn’t want to. it’s because he never ultimately had the chance to, and by the time he DID it was far too late.)

5. i just wanted a fifth point but ANYWAY- i think it’s fucked up that adam didn’t really have a chance to actually survive and his test was essentially fucking rigged--it wasn’t set up correctly and yeah maybe he COULD’VE had a chance but ultimately he didn’t. and it’s unfair as hell and fucked up because ohhh yeah jigsaw sure all of your tests are SO so fair and everyone always has a chance to survive. get fucked, adam shouldn’t have died. i choose to believe that theory that he’s alive.

i don’t know how to end this i just have a lot of feelings and thoughts about adam as a character and don’t know what to do with them </3 uhhh take this screenshot i like. i don’t know how to explain why he has trans energy to me so i am simply going to say “trust me.”
