I don’t do these year in review things much, but, there was at least a lot of improvement in my willingness to put my whole [redacted] into things and commit to things I didn’t do much before (group pics, interacting with objects, stronger shading and rendering) Hopefully this year i will continue to improve!

I didn’t get as much done this year (honestly had to fudge december and november bc I got so little finished this month) but the art I did manage to do was fun :) I’m really glad I finally started doing stuff with my ocs and that it was well-received, you’ll never see me shut up abt them now

Year in review, 2022!

I think my art new year's resolution will be to start posting what I work on, which is an insane thing to say, but it's true. I don't post my art on tumblr because I figure it won't be reblogged, and that will make me sad. I post my art on discord with my friends! But I think I want to put myself out there more this year and share more art. It'd mean a lot to me to spread my work and really give it a good try.

So here's to 2022 - I did some really good stuff. I'll be posting near everything posted here! (I'll be queueing it) and trying to post everything I do in 2023. Let's make it a good art year.

My new year's resolution for 2024 is to be less embarrassed about my art. So here's a bunch of sketches that I liked from throughout the year! More info below the cut :)

January:

This is the brilliant and amazing sketch behind one of my most popular posts here

February:

I gave all of the ghosts from BBC ghosts a pokemon, I liked Robin's the best (Lycanroc). I often think about if his tribe would have had some wolves, since he was alive after the domestication of wolves is thought to have occurred

March:

Some little sketches af my fursona when I was trying to get used to drawing them

April:

Some hetalia girlies I drew as mermaids. I was planning on finishing most if not all of them for mermay, but life got in the way ^^;

May:

My SU Aquamarine OC. I have a whole story with her that I might post on here at some point when I get my head around it a bit more clearly

June:

Hetalia's nyo!Spain and Hungary as mermaids. I also have a whole story with them which is kind of like the little mermaid but kind of not at the same time. Might post it at some point? It's nyo!spuk and scotfra endgames and I know they're not the most popular ships but that's just kind of how it ended up lmao

July:

A very old Lombax OC of mine that I did a couple of sketches of when I found some old drawings

August:

Pen sketches of Dr Nefarious and Lord Vorselon from Ratchet and Clank: A Crack in Time. Tbh, August was a shitty month for me so this was literally the only thing I drew that month, and I already posted it here

September:

Towards the backend of August and into September I bingewatched all of The Simpsons, and read a couple of carlenny fanfics, one of which i adore [here], so obviously I did a couple of sketches

October:

Couple of sketches of our boy William <3. I was kind of upset that more people didn't seem to be excited to find out what one of the star ghosts looked like but oh well :')

November:

I'm actually surprised I hadn't drawn at all last month, so the last picture is from May but I wanted to show that I do still think about Ghostalia and I hope to feel the motivation to post some more about it this year. This sketch was me figuring out what Sakura's character would be wearing (historically accurate), and a lil sketch of her and Julchen together <3

Overall, I have drawn a whole lot more than I ever post on here, and I want to start posting more of the sketches I do even if I feel a bit embarrassed by it. Most of these have full pages of other sketches that I may or may not post, depending on how I'm feeling. I have other fandom stuff in general too, but this post didn't need to be any longer than it already is bikhdfb anyway,, Happy New Year! Hope your 2024 is a good one :D
