Over the last couple of years, I’ve had the priviledge of judging many open submissions and art prizes. Through doing this, I’ve learnt how you can maximise your chances of success. It seems like such a simple thing to do, but so many applicants get it wrong. You're paying to enter many of these prizes, so getting it right matters. It's not just about having a great piece of artwork. You have to document it accurately and fully fulfil the entry requirements. Check out ASP's top five tips for a successful entry. But remember, judging panels are not perfect; they don’t always pick the best work, just the work they all agree on.
