Feeling conflicted about the cyberpunk thingy impulse is going for because like yeah it’s a great theme and I like the aesthetics a lot but what I really like most about cyberpunk is the themes of corporate alienation and/or transhumanism etc etc which I know will not be addressed at all and in fact it’s kind of stupid of me to expect that at all from a minecraft series. Does anyone else get that or just me

#this is an issue I’ve been having with mcyt content in general you know. not ragging on impulse specifically #it’s just… I find it difficult to reconcile the quality of narrative focused mcyt content with its complete lack of commentary #should it have commentary? I believe it could if it wanted to. I don’t think it has to #but then you see these genres being… skinned and worn as cloaks #taking the aesthetics and story without any of the meaning behind it #and when it was just Minecraft builds that was expected. I guess it is still expected and I’m being a huge snob #but like. mcyt narrative is so fucked from a quality standpoint. you can’t even have villains who are other mcyters because people #will get mad at them #is that an unrelated issue? maybe. but I don’t think so #idk. mcyters aren’t expected to be storytellers and they don’t need to be #but I see these things happen over and over again and it’s just uncanny to see something that walks like a story talks like a story #but at the same time has absolutely nothing of value to say #it’s very early on so maybe there will be something done with this concept but I doubbbt it. I would be very pleasantly surprised #astro speaks #hermitcraft #not putting this in the impulse tag cause he would be more likely to see it #and I don’t want him to feel like he has to address this at all #it’s more just me noticing a trend

Tamao, the boy of many clothing items!

This guy has by far the most accessories out of all the ponies I've made so far but I didn't wanna get rid of any bc I feel like they're very iconic to his design. also he's a very similar shade of yellow to Ochan and I wanted to make sure they didn't look too much alike.

His cutie mark is the flag of the ship (the Captain Go I think? I've seen it called like 3 or 4 different things lol) he earns it in episode 4 "Lightning" when he takes everyone flying. He's also the only one of Atom's friends (besides Uran) who gets his mark on screen!

His talent is creating fun flying machines and extravagant and pretty other kinds of transport.

If Tobio lived they would've ended up being co-workers :)

#brot posts #astro posting #photography #no comments really. standard moon photo from me #can only take so many pics of the moon until it becomes redundant. #i will say though i did try something new today and that was by using a 3 second delay between when i hit the screen to take the photo and #when it actually took the photo #and i think that helped #bc any sort of movement from me touching myphone will cause the image to blur #and i normally counteract that by taking a video instead #but then theres the degradation of quality by nature of taking screenshots of a video yknow #so just taking a normal photo and finding a way to not have my finger tapping cause bluriness i think was a slight game changer #chromatic aberration was also still really bad as normal but it was better so that i could just decrease the saturation on this pic #and therefore basically get rid of it #but the blurriness of the aberration is still there of course. U__U #but the fact i can edit it mostly away does mean the aberration isnt as bad as normal and again i think that was bc of the delay

i'm not sure about everyone else, but it really doesn't feel like a typical new year! i think with the heaviness of the mars & mercury rx (especially considering the signs are inconjunct, which makes things extra tough), it kind of just feels like another day!! if you have a day chart, you might feel extra impacted by the mars retrograde as compared to night chart babies. definitely take it easy if you're feeling off/stressed/etc, and perhaps use january as a time of reflection, and focus more on putting plans into action in march! (or, in january - if it feels right for you!! but if you feel overwhelmed or lack motivation for any sort of resolutions or planning, just know you aren't alone, the sky right now is a bit "heavy")

personally i tend to celebrate the new year as per the astrological new year (aka first day of aries szn as the new year) which feels extra right because that'll be around the time mars is no longer rx nor in the shadow period!!!

anyway!! how are you all feeling?! any thoughts about 2022/2023, plans/etc?! personally the only thing on my mind rn is genshin impact girl groups, and relaxing as much as possible in january until mars and mercury chill out!!! 2022 was rough!!

I am still in shock at how these two are the exact same character. Aichi’s character growth throughout Vanguard is amazing, allowing him to gain strength and confidence but not lose sight of who he is (And if he does he is brought back because what good hero doesn’t fall once in a while?) and learn from his mistakes. 

I’m happy I’ve been able to explore this growth in my interactions throughout various verses in and out of the canon world, and hope to be able to do more of that cause we love to see character growth and development in storytelling.

what r your thoughts on mbti?

if it floats ur boat go for it! lol my controversial take is I put astrology, tarot, mbti, and religion under the same kind of theological umbrella. they all mainly serve the purpose of validating ourselves and our experience to ourselves, so by all means if that helps in understanding yourself and helps guide you through introspection and self reflection then go for it. that's never not a good thing.

but for me at least, i don't think mbti offers nearly the same degree of detail and nuance that astro gives. it kinda presents itself as the more "credible" psuedo-science and tbh, I don't think it is actually comparable. really i just think mbti is more suited for those who want to know more about themselves and how they fit in the world, but don't think astrology is legit enough lol i realize those are probs some fighting words but it kinda gives me that vibe. i think humans are silly, just like what you like if it's not harming anyone.
