okay but the way that stacia’s dress like… almost directly mirrors (or parallels) titania’s dress.

first of all, the obvious one, the shape of them is similar - look at the flowing skirts, the way they sit!! they have very similar silhouettes!!

and then look at the cutouts in each dress (i circled stacia’s just bc they’re smaller lol), notice how the skirt of titania’s dress covers her sides but leaves her stomach open, vs stacia’s dress covering her stomach with these cute cutouts at her sides? also, the dramatic difference in the amount of skin showing

HER ARMOUR!! titania’s top is in two sections, the part covering her chest, then longer pieces of fabric that sit slightly lower than that, with an exposed gap in the middle. and stacia’s breastplate directly mimics that!! there’s the main breastplate across her chest and then two smaller parts that sit just below it with the same gap!! also worth noting that titania’s is designed to be able to be taken off quickly by untying the ribbon, vs stacia’s which is an actual piece of armour. the implications. the poetic cinema.

and then there’s this bit, similar to the cutouts. her stockings/socks are like the midriff area of titania’s outfit - note the little diamond cutout on the base of titania’s shirt and how stacia’s socks have the diamonds at the top

and the neck details/collars are… again, there’s this very clear contrast between the two but they have the same elements to them. titania has this halter neck/choker thing, where stacia has these thin straps that connect to this intricate little bit on her shoulders and neck. but they still have the layered choker!!

i can’t compare titania and stacia without talking about the hairpieces. they both resemble a bridal veil, obviously, but look at the way they each sit!! the way titania’s sits so flat, because asuna isn’t in any way shape of form excited about this marriage, world or future. but then stacia’s sits out a lot more, it sits lighter. because this is a relationship and a world and a future that she’s hopeful for, she’s enthusiastic about it.

i hit image limit but. i also noticed the way they stand in their character design sheets!! titania’s holding her hand behind her back, she has her feet close together, her body language shows that she’s shy and upset. compared to stacia, who’s holding her hand out like she’s about to cast some kind of magic, her stance is a lot more assured, she has way more confidence.

i’m not putting pictures of her feet anyway but also look at the difference in their shoes, or lack there of. titania has ribbons on her feet, stacia has actual shoes with - again!! - a cutout that mimics how titania’s ribbons were tied!!

and she has her super long hair back!! these are the only two avatars she has with hair that long!!

every little detail of their outfits directly parallel eachother, and i’m so certain it was fully intentional. she went from being forced to play along with the role of being oberon’s fairy queen, to proudly fighting alongside kirito and becoming queen of the underworld.

titania and stacia are both queens - one is a captive queen, one is queen of the stars - and asuna’s growth between the two of them is quite literally visible between the two avatars.
