Notes: I need some more ideas for this batfam series, so does anyone have any?

It was an exciting day for the little Y/N. Just yesterday, she got a brand new colour pencil set from her father (with the help of Alferd) that she couldn't wait to show off to everyone. The coloured pencils were stored in a large black leather case that was almost as big as her body.

Inside it were hundreds of different shades of every colour her small mind could imagine. She wanted to share her gift with her siblings, so she waited patiently on the Brown sofa in the living room. The large case next to her.

When she saw Damian walking through the halls, she smiled and run (the best that a 4 year old could run) towards her brother. Just as she was about to get to him she tripped but thankfully he caught her just before she could fall.

"Thank you Dami!" She gave him a toothy grin. Damian picked her up into his arms looking at every part of her body to make sure she didn't get hurt from tripping over. After seeing that she wasn't injured, he then smiled softly at her.

"Good morning Y/N. Why were you in a rush this early in the morning?"

She started to wiggle in his arms, so he put her down. She then (thankfully) walked back to the living room and grabbed her pencil case, dragging it along the ground cause it was a little heavy for her own body strength.

"Daddy got new colours for me!" Damain looked down at it with an unamused look "How charming"

"Do you wanna draw?" She asked with her puppy dog eyes. "I'm busy" he turned to the direction of the gym. "Oh..." Y/N said in a smile voice. Damian looked back at her. She was looking down at the case, her eyes teary up.

Feeling guilty, he cleared his throat. ".... but after I'm finished, I suppose I can entertain you for a short while"

"She looked up at Damian with twinkles in her eyes. "Really? Thank you Dami!"

After what felt like hours, she saw cass pass by with a duffle bag over her shoulder. Y/N walked up behind her and hugged her leg "Hi cass"

Cass bent down and caressed Y/N's cheek in her hand, she squessed them gently, making the young girl giggle. "Hi Y/N"

"Do wanna colour with me?" Y/N asked.

"Awww... sorry Y/N, but I have stuff to do but when I'm finished, I'll draw with you ok?" Cass pulled out her pinky and gave a wame smile to Y/N. "Oh, okay" Y/N pouted but linked her pinky with cass's.

After that Y/N found herself in the kitchen looking for dick. When she saw him, he was eating a bowl of cornflakes. Y/N stood before him, reaching up and tugged at her oldest brothers shirt. Dick stopped his eating and looked down, smiling softly at his little sister. "What's up baby bird?"

"Do u wanna colour with me?" She asked hopefully. "Sorry little bird, I can't draw with you right now. I'm in a bit of a rush but you can ask Jason or Tim. They should be around somewhere" and before Y/N could say anything, Dick drowned the last chunk of his cornflakes down and rushed down hall. Y/N huffed and went back to the sofa.

After a while, Y/N heard the voices of Jason and Tim. She saw them holding duffel bags the same one that cass had. She smiled at them before walking off to ask them to colour with her.

"Morning J, morning Timmy"

"Morning kid!" Jason Pet the top of Y/N's head.

"Good morning Y/N" Tim smiled down at her. "What's that?" He pointed to the leather case newt ro the sofa. "It's my new colours daddy got for me" she smiled up at them.

"Wow. Cool"

"Can you colour with me?"

"Sorry kid. Me and Timmy here are gonna work out. Maybe late with can" Jason said rubbing the back of his head.

"Oh, it's fine" She pouted before walking away to the staircase.

"Do you think we broke a 4 year olds heart?" Tim whispered feeling guilty.

"We probably did Timmy"

~timeskip~

Bruce walked along the halls trying to find atleast one of his kids. But he then stopped in his tracks when he heard crying? He looked at the door near his left, it was his youngest room. Why would she be crying?

He opened the door to see his little girl curled up on her bed and tears running down her face. The site in front of him, broke his heart. "Sweetheart, what's wrong?" he asked softly.

The young girl looked up her father and wiped her face before speaking. "No one wants to colour with me"

Bruce's heart broke more at hearing those words. He had to make her feel better but how? "Hey, why don't we go and get some cookies? Alferd just pulled a new batch out of the oven" He gave a warm smile.

The girls face lit up at that idea."Ok, daddy" she held out her arms signalling that she wanted to be carried, Bruce gladly took his little girl into his arms and the father and daughter made their way down to the kitchen.

~in the cave~

"Sup Damian?" Dick waved at him as he placed his towel to the side. He grabbed the gymnastic rings and turned to Jason. "Light day Jason?" He lifed his legs up and held himself up. "I was just getting warmed up actually" Jason started doing push ups with one arm. "98...99...100!"

"Pssh, that's nothing" Dick and Jason turned to look at Tim who started doing push ups with his tumbs and pointer fingers.

"You're all pathetic" Damian lifted his body up and did a handstand. "This is what you should be doing"

Jason moved next ro Damian and did the same thing. "Sorry kid your not special"

"How... about this!" Dick did a handstand with one hand using his tumb and pointer finger.

Jason, Tim, Dick and Damian were all doing the same thing together. "First one... to hundred... wins"

Cass looked over at them as she drank water. "Bad idea"

~Later that night~

The four boys were sitting around the table groaning in pain every time they moved. Cass sat perfectly fine, enjoying the meal that Alferd had made.

"Ow. So much ow" Dick threw his head back against his chair. Damian was crouching in his chair. Tim was trying to eat his dinner, with his foot. "Come on, I-I... I can do this" Jason tried tilting the plate with his head. "Can't... reach"

Cass turned to the four boys eating her food with utensils. "Told you guys it was a bad idea" Jason smashed his face into his food. Suddenly, Y/N popped up from the doorway. "Are you guys ready to colour now?"

"S-sorry Y/N... I don't think I can move my arms" Dick slowly turned his head towards her and gave a weary smile.

"But you guys said you would?" she pouted.

"Sorry Y/N" Tim muttered, dropping his spoon in the process. "Dang it" Jason muttered his Sorry through his food. "I can still draw with you Y/N" Cass held Y/N's hand and lead her out of the dinning room. Y/N turned her head towards her brothers and frowned, "You're all imbec- imbeci-...mean!" She huffed her checks out in anger.

The four boys groaned in pain and Damian shrank down in his chair in shame.

“Babe, I don’t think it’s a good idea.”

If someone walked in and saw the look on Lando’s face they would assume that you just kicked the poor man’s dog. But the truth to Lando’s sad expression- your insistence that a mini-golf date was not at all a great idea that Lando chalked it up to be.

Lando stares up at you from where his head rest on your lap, his lips pouted out, “Why not?”

“Are you seriously asking me that? Do you remember the last time we went? Or the time we played Mario Kart, Uno, Monopoly. Do you remember anytime we played something that had us competing against each other.” Lando continues to stare at you, as if he has no idea what you are talking about.

“Lando! Seriously?! We each get pissy at each other. We are both too competitive for our own good.”

Lando shoots up from were he was laying, startling you. He reaches across you to where his phone lays on the side table, “But babe, you haven’t even seen how cool this place is!” He shoves his now unlocked phone in your face, “See!”

You move back and take Lando’s phone from his hand. You see that he already has their Instagram paged pulled up. You scroll through a couple of their post. 18 holes, Atlantis themed, has an aquarium, good photo opportunities.

“It is nice,” you agree.

“Babe. Please.”

Your resolve crumbles in a matter of seconds, “Fine, but I have 2 conditions,” you watch Lando’s face fall, “1- You will not, and I mean, NOT, do that spiderman-whatever-it-is pose on the course and 2- If an argument or anythings breaks out and we get pissy at each other I get to say I told you so.”

“Deal!”

The first ‘disagreement’ of the day occurred not even 2 holes into the course. Lando claimed that you had purposely aimed for his ugly neon green ball.

“You did that on purpose!”

You stand there with a bewildered look on your face, “Are you kidding me? Your ball is right in the middle of the damn way. Of course I’m going to hit it!”

This is exactly why you couldn’t stand playing against Lando. When the two of you played together against other people, you guys were a powerhouse, unstoppable. Putting the two of you against one another, well the results were what you were dealing with now.

“Lando I swear to God I will leave you here and you can walk home. Remember our ‘deal’? Because I do.” You wave your golf club at him in a warning manner.

“You’re right. I’m sorry baby.”

You sigh out, you could never stay made at Lando when he gave you that puppy dog eyes look, “It’s fine, let’s just try and have a good time.”

The two of you move through the course, you’re keeping score with a baby pencil on the little piece of paper one of the workers gave you when you picked out your balls, not trusting Lando to put down the correct score.

“Awww. Babe, look your favorite food,” You point to the fish in aquarium that lines the next hole.

You hear Lando make a noise and a pinch in your side. “That one looks like you,” Lando tells you as he points to the ugliest fish in the tank.

You ram you elbow back, hitting him right in the stomach, “You ass. Keep it up and you’ll be sleeping with them.”

“Come on, we got like, 7 holes left.” Lando grabs you hand and drags you away to the next hole.

Lando drops his ball on the green, lines up his shot and swings. You watch as the ball bounces off the barrier and rolls right into the hole. “Hole in one babyyyyyy!” He exclaims, club raised over his head. “I’d like to see you do that.”

“Bet.” Is all you say as Lando walks over to hole to retrieve his ball. He moves off to the side and watches as you line up your shot, a smirk resting on his face.

You swing, and your ball does the same thing that Lando’s did, resulting in you own hole in one.

“Hole in one babyyyyyy!” You mimic his early reaction. You do his same winning motion and you watch his smirk fall with a smirk of your own.

The two of you aren’t the only people in here, there is a family a four ahead of you and another couple behind you. As Lando and you are walking to the next hole you can’t help but glance back at the couple, who, unlike you and Lando, are being all lovey dovey. The boyfriend is helping the girl with her swing, standing behind her, holding her hands as they swing the club together.

You nudge Lando, “See we could be like them,” you point to the couple, “instead we’re two competitive a-holes.”

Lando shrugs. “I like your competitiveness, gives me my money worth.”

“Well be sure to keep that mentality after I beat your ass.”

“We still have 3 more holes,” Lando points out.

“Yeah, but with how bad you’re doing, I think I got this in the bag.”

“Don’t count all your eggs before they hatch.”

“Chickens, babe. Chickens. It’s- don’t count all your chickens before they hatch.”

“Wait, then what’s the egg one?”

“Don’t put all your eggs in one basket?” You say unclear to which one he is referring to.

“That’s it!”

You roll your eyes, “You’re lucky your handsome.”

“What?”

“Don’t worry about it,” you pat him on the shoulder and start walking to the next hole.

“No, what did you mean by that?” Lando calls out from behind you and all you can do is giggle.

It’s the last hole and maybe Lando was right, you shouldn’t have counted all your chickens before they hatched. Because the past two holes Lando has managed to get two holes in one, you on the other hand were plundering.

“So, we’re tied right now. This is the last hole, therefore, the tie-breaker.”

“Do you want to go first?”

“I guess.” Honestly no, you didn’t want to go first. You rather watch how Lando does first, then try to replicate whatever he did, your strategy you’ve been using the entire game.

You line up your shot and swing. A very underwhelming delivery on your end. Lando goes and has the same result. Second swing same thing, ultimately closer to the hole before. Lando swings and his ball is just a little behind yours. Third swing, and PLUNK, right into the hole. You hold in your celebration, Lando could still tie. Lando goes for his turn, and he puts to much force in his swing, his ball goes in and right back out of the hole. It’s on his fourth try that his ball makes it in.

“YES! I WON!” Your shout draws the attention of the couple behind you, you give them an apologetic look. You turn your attention to Lando, who is looking at you with nothing but adoration.

“Well done,” Lando gives you a little golf clap and you take a bow.

“I guess I don’t get to tell you I told you so.” You say as the two of you walk in the parking lot hand-in-hand.

“Wow, we actually had a nice outing and that’s all you can say,”

You stop and jerk Lando’s hand towards you, “I had a fun time, even if we did get a little competitive.”

Lando’s hands move to you waist and pull you into a hug, “I had a fun time too, even though I lost.”

“Don’t be a sore loser.”

He wouldn’t say anything today, but maybe sometime in the future he would tell you that he purposely swung a little too hard on his third turn so that his ball would bounce out of the hole. But for now he could live with the little white lie, as long as it made you happy.

when you all aren't requesting pow camp angst, you all want more of cass and the egan family. my gift to my few fluff lovers.

Penelope's wails had quieted to tired little whimpers as John paced around the backyard of his childhood home. Her and her brother had been perfectly well behaved on the flight from Virginia to Wisconsin but while Gale had fallen asleep during his bedtime bottle, Penny had decided to test the capacity of her lungs in the midwestern air.

"It's okay, my sweet girl. I know you've had a long day. You must be so tired," John cooed to his baby daughter as he bounced her gently. Her teary eyes were looking up at the stars as he pressed gentle kisses to the side of her head. He hoped Cass had fallen asleep. They both had been running on empty since they became parents three months ago.

"Coming out here always use to work when you were as little as her." John turned to see his mother standing in the doorway to the back of the house, watching her son and granddaughter with a smile on her face.

"Did she wake you? I'm sorry, ma, I tried to get her out here as quick as I could." His mother shook her head and reached for her granddaughter, John passing her off and collapsing into a lawn chair as she took over the calming, rocking movements he had been trying for what felt like hours.

Penelope looked at her grandmother with curiosity and slowly went silent as she grew comfortable in her arms. "How come you and my wife can just look at them and they stop crying but they make me work for it all night?"

"Maternal instinct, Johnny. Cassandra seems to be adjusting to motherhood quite well." John nodded as he took the sleeping baby back from his mother and held her against his chest.

"She's a natural. Barely blinked when the doctors said there was another one right behind Penny." John had been in the hallway raging at the medical staff that was trying to keep him from seeing his wife. His mother didn't need to know that part.

"And you? I remember that one summer you helped with a baseball team, you were so good with them."

"I think I'm getting the hang of it. The half of them they get from me is causing us the most problems but that is to be expected." His mother laughed and he let it wrap around him like a hug. "I never thought about a future that looked like this until I fell in love with her." John kissed the top of his daughter's head and pressed his finger into her little palm that was resting against his chest, her fingers curling around his and his heart skipping a beat.

"I'm glad. I was worried after the last time you were here." His mother hadn't mentioned their time in Wisconsin when she had come with his sisters to South Carolina for the wedding but that doesn't mean she hadn't thought about it.

"That was...we were in a dark place. I didn't mean for it to boil over here but I saw that photo and got that letter and..." He hugged his daughter tighter. He had stormed out of his parents house that night without his wedding band. With the intent of helping Cass book a one way trip to South Carolina to be rid of him and their marriage and the mess he was causing in her life. Had said a million things he regretted and had drank himself to oblivion at the local bar over the idea that he had finally fucked up enough to lose her.

"But now you've got these little blessings. And that absolutely wonderful little dog, John, he really is so handsome." Butter was probably on his half of the bed upstairs as they spoke, sleeping like a rock in Cass' arms. John hadn't even tried to fight bringing him on the trip and hadn't looked at the final cost of bringing a dog on the airplane. His wife assured him it was pennies for the joy it would bring her and the kids to have him tag along.

"Butter? He's trying to replace me."

"Well, I'm sure Cassandra appreciates that he doesn't talk back." John looked up at the sky and prayed for strength. Why did all the women in his life have to be against him?

"Oh, Cass, he's such a handsome little devil just look at him!" Gale giggled as one of his aunt's kissed his cheeks and tickled at his sides. "How on earth did he come from someone like my brother?"

"Your brother is plenty handsome," Cass offered with a smile as she adjusted Penny in her lap, the little girl chewing on the foot of one of the stuffed animals she had just been gifted.

"Don't tell me he makes you do all the work during the making part."

"Yeah, John, your wife deserves to be lavished more often than you do!" his other sister chimed in. He poked his head out from where he was preparing bottles in the kitchen.

"You have no clue how often I lavish my wife!"

"She could always use more." Butter barked in agreement.

"Are you actually blushing?" John asked with a smirk as he offered Cass one bottle and his sister the other.

"No! Shut up." It wasn't that Cass was some kind of prude when it came to talking about her sex life with John. She just didn't want his mother overhearing any conversations of baby making and lavishing.

"Did I fluster you, baby?" John nuzzled his nose into her neck to make her laugh as she lovingly looked on at Penelope eating her second breakfast.

"Just got me thinking about lavishing now is all."

"Yeah? You in need of some?" John said, his voice dropping an octave. She bit her bottom lip and nodded, leaning in to nip at his lips. "Fuck. Yeah, I think you need some real bad, baby."

He was never happier to have his sisters around to baby sit than he was on his knees in the backseat of his old car, his wife's legs over his shoulders and his face buried under her skirt.

“You have to help me hide her Urban I don’t want Jack seeing her just yet.” Urban looked at you in complete shock I mean sure he’s helped you hide packages you’ve gotten from Amazon from Jack or things you never really needed but wanted from Jack but never in his life did he think he’d have to help you hide a pig.

“Y/N you do realize we’re in Australia and have to eventually go back home to America how are we suppose to get a pig on the plane without anybody noticing.” You shrugged your shoulders and handed Urban the pig carrier before brining your new little tea cup pig you named Indigo to your chest and coo’d at her while she oinked and cuddled into you.

“My man is Jack Harlow they can’t say anything.” Urban couldn’t believe this shit you actually bought a pet pig he knew Jack was going to chew him out when the two of you got back to the hotel.

Once the two of you got back at the hotel you quickly opened the door to your shared hotel room with Jack you mentally cursed hearing Jack’s voice and Neelam’s voice coming from the kitchen area.

“Baby? Is that you what took you two so long.” Jack’s voice came from the kitchen and that’s when Indigo decided to start squirming in your arms she started squealing and you started panicking you placed her down behind the couch and she calmed down now occupied by the pillow that was on the floor.

“Babe? What was that I thought I heard a pig unless I’m just tired.” Jack came into view and smiled seeing you.

“I think you’re just tired Jack I mean you have been doing a lot of shows back to back you gotta get some rest.” You reached up on your tippy toes and connected your lips with Jack he smiled and kissed you back his hands now resting on waist he pulled back and smiled at you, God you loved this man so much.

“I don’t have a show tomorrow so I’m definitely getting some rest tonight.. but what did you get ma give me a little haul.” You snorted at him using the word haul but gave him a little show at all the things you bought, you completely forgot about indigo till your little haul was interrupted by Neelam’s scream. Jack and you quickly dashed into the kitchen once you saw the reason to her scream you knew you were fucked.

“How did a pig get in here?! When did a pig get in here.” Neelam screamed as you rushed to pick up the now scared pig who was a squealing mess but relaxed once in your arms.

“I’m guessing it was because of you baby.. you got some explaining to do.” You smiled innocently at Jack but he wasn’t buying it.

“Okay when I went out with Urban we went to this market and this guy there was selling tea cup pigs and she was the last one left and I wanted her and I didn’t want her to be alone so I obviously took her.”

“Right so how are we going to get this pig back to America ma?” Urban appeared from behind Jack and you deadpanned knowing exactly what he was going to say.

“Well I asked Y/N that question earlier and her response was that Jack Harlow was my man.” Neelam couldn’t help but to laugh as you pouted and brought Indigo closer to Jack.

“Please can we keep her Jack I promise I’ll make sure she’s safe and has food everyday please Jack I love her so much already I even named her indigo.” You pouted and have Jack your best puppy dog eyes you even managed to get your lip to quiver.

Jack groaned and rubbed his forehead he couldn’t believe you got a pet pig and even named it.

“Fine alright ma you can keep the damn pig but it’s your responsibility to make sure it’s taken care of ma not mine.” You squealed and hugged him tightly and pecked his lips.

“Thank you Jack I promise little indigo over here will be a good addition to our little family isn’t that right indigo?” Indigo snorted in approval making Neelam and You awww while Jack simply shook his head at you, the things this man did for love.

And, after another torturous seven days have passed, we are graced with another stellar episode of my new favourite show! Huzzah! And that means it's time for more notes that no one asked for from yours truly:

- *Bill and Ted voice*: 69, dudes!

- Ooh, Doctor, your jealousy is showing! (And Yak totally clocked it too. You can see he's thinking about milking it—when he mentioned Yei—but he doesn't let it hang over them for long)

- Okay, if anyone sniffed me, I'd find it odd because it's not my culture but I think the Thai sniff kisses are sooooo cute :3

- Seriously, though, Yak is concerned (maybe rightly so?) about being romantically involved publicly with a guy, but he takes Dee's hand when he sees something's off at the crossing???? He's so caring I can't take it D:

- Ugh, Yak feeding Dee!! I can't take thiiiiiis

- HANDS AGAIN! Argh. I'm such a sucker for a hand holding/touching moment. This episode really fed me, thank you <3

- Okay, but I could write an essay on Yak's facial expressions in that bridge scene!! Like... Holy hell

- ...or not lol well, it's still domestic, even if the end result isn't edible right?

The "cheeky" little spider starts to pout as she wiggles in an attempt to get more comfortable in Sun's arms. Being this close, she realizes it feels very nice in this predator's warm embrace. She should be afraid, especially after Moon's growls. But she is confident she could get away if she needs to.

She looks up and uses all eight of her eyes to create the biggest puppy-dog eyes and asks, "If I can't tickle Moon right now, can we have a story instead? Maybe a story from your earliest memories? Pretty please? With dewdrops and nector on top?"

"Hmmm...."

Sun thought for a moment.

"Awww! I know! I'll tell you the story of me and Moon's first catch!"

He collected himself and began to tell the story.

"We had just recently hatched. Maybe barely five minutes before. No one else was around. We were all alone in a burrow underground. But regardless, the both of us were ravenous. We left the comfort of the only thing we could have called home and searched about for anything that looked edible. We stayed close and held hands the whole time. We didn't want to lose each other. Moon had brought the only real feeling of safety for me. Everything else was scary and new. We had wandered pretty far from our hatch place, finding nothing. That's until Moon saw a baby cricket. Not a humanoid one, but a regular cricket. We sprang into action immediately. We chased the little creature farther into the swamp. We had been so distracted that we weren't paying any attention to where we were going."

Sun took a pause to recall more of what had happened.

"We had cornered the cricket near the edge of the water. Me and Moon were ready to eat after such a long chase. But it was unwilling to let us get it so easily. It hopped onto a stick floating in the water. I wasn't giving up, either. I flapped my wings harder and harder. At first my attempt resulted in me crashing on my rear end. But, even though we couldn't talk, Moon encouraged me to try again. He nuzzled my head with his, flapped his wings, and gave it a whirl. He also wond up falling on his butt, too. It gave me enough courage to try again. This time I succeeded! My flying was seriously wobbly."

Sun sighed happily, reminiscing on the memory.

"I was finally up! I fluttered closer to the cricket, which was foolishly facing it's back to me. I snagged it from the branch before it could react. I turned to fly back to shore. With the extra weight, I was flying dangerously low. So low, that my feet kept dipping into the water. I was almost there, when suddenly, a fish leapt up from underneath me. Luckily it didn't catch me in it's mouth, but it smacked me through the air. And right on to the beach. Moon ran to my side to check if I was okay. I was relatively okay. Soaking wet and a little banged up. I had managed to hold on to the cricket, too! Well, not really hold, more like 'landed on top of and squished'. It was food none the less. We both ate as much as the cricket had to offer. Which was enough, due to our small stature."

"But our problems weren't over. Unfortunately, being babies, we didn't know want hyperthermia was. I found out very soon, however. I didn't know how to dry myself. I soon grew very cold, even in the humid swamp. Moon had to huddle up against me to warm me up. It wasn't working. I was getting worse. Moon could sense it. Then I got very hot. I had become sick with a horrible fever. Just as I started to lose hope, someone approached us. Moon snarled at the stranger as he positioned himself above me. But they spoke so softly and kindly to us. We had never heard such a sweet voice. It was... her. She took pity on us. She carried me to her home. Moon followed. She cared for me until I was all better. It was all such a blur. My sickness made it hard to tell one day from another. All I can really remember was her singing me to sleep, gently giving me hot tea, and stroking my forhead soothingly."

"When I was ready she let me go out side to join my brother. We did not stay, but that wasn't the last time we saw her..."

part 1…part 10

Jesse was staring out the tour bus window like a dog as they approached his stop.

“I swear if he had a tail, it’d be wagging like crazy right now.” T joked as Z and Taeyoung snickered.

“Oh, leave him alone guys.” Robaire rolled his eyes. “He’s just excited to—is he panting?”

Courtney shook her head and chuckled at the boys as the bus rolled to a stop. “Hey, Jes, this is your—”

“Thanks, Courtney. Love you, guys. Bye!” Jesse said quickly before sprinting off the bus.

Everyone stared.

“Do you think he’s gonna come back for his stuff?” T asked.

“Give it a second.” Robaire nodded. “I’m sure he’ll figure it out.”

They waited a few seconds. Nothing happened.

“Okay, gimme his things.” Robaire got up. “I’m gonna race him.”

Up in the building, Jesse flung his apartment door open. “HONEY, I’M HOME!” He paused. “Oh, hi, Daunte.”

Daunte scoffed and rolled his eyes.

“Daddy!” Marcel came running.

“Squishy!” Jesse picked him up. “Ugh, I missed you so much. It’s been too long since I’ve pinched those chubby cheeks.” He said as he got a handful of cheek. “Your uncles wouldn’t let me buy you every toy I saw, but I did get you a couple of things.” He looked around. “That I’m assuming Robaire is bringing up here because I forgot all my stuff.”

Marcel giggled. “Daddy’s silly.”

“Yeah, he’s very silly. He just wanted to get back to you and Mommy as soon as possible.” Jesse smiled at his son. “By the way, do you know where Mommy is?”

Marcel pointed in the direction of the bathroom.

“Hey, Daunte, how’s she doing?” Jesse asked.

“You got her pregnant and then left her alone with a two year old.” Daunte glared at him. “How do you think she’s doing?”

“I mean, I was kinda hoping for a real answer, but go off I guess…” Jesse muttered. He knocked on the bathroom door. “Baby? Can I—”

The door opened and Selina stared up at him with wide eyes. “Are you actually here or am I dreaming again?”

Jesse chuckled and caressed her face with his free hand. “I’m really here. Finally.” He leaned and kissed her deeply. “I missed you like crazy.”

“Ugh, that was the longest two months of my life.” Selina hugged him tight. “I was holding it together on the phone for you, but really I just wanted you to come home and hold me.”

“I know, babe. Me too.” Jesse hugged her back. “I’m not letting either of you go for at least a week.”

“Okay well as cute as this little “family reunion” is, I’ve got to get home so I can sleep before work.” Daunte got up from the couch. “Selina, Marcel, love you both, see you later. Jesse, be good to my sister or you’re dead.” He headed towards the door. “Also there’s some weird kid standing outside your door.”

“Is that who I think it is?” Selina perked up.

“Hey, hey, Lina.” Robaire awkwardly waddled in with Jesse’s bags.

“Baby bear!” Selina rushed to hug him.

“And there she goes.” Jesse watched her run away. “At least you won’t leave me, right, Marcel?”

Marcel shook his head and hugged Jesse again. “Don’t leave, okay?”

Jesse was quiet for a moment. “Selina, I think I’m gonna need those tissues in my bag.”

“Okay, honey, time for bed.” Selina called to Marcel. “Actually it’s past your bedtime.”

“No, I wanna stay with Daddy.” Marcel clung to Jesse.

“Marcel—”

“Awww, but he’s so comfortable.” Jesse whined a bit. “Can’t he stay with me a little longer? I don’t think he’s ready to let go yet.”

“Jesse, you literally haven’t let go of him since you got home.” Selina chuckled a bit. “If he doesn’t do it now, then when?”

Jesse looked back at Marcel. “Your mom kinda has a point there, Squish.”

Marcel whined and hugged Jesse tighter. “I don’t wanna.”

“How am I supposed to say no to this?” Jesse looked at Selina. “No. I’m not ready to let him go yet. We need a bigger crib.”

Selina sighed. “I guess I have an idea.” She rolled her eyes.

A few minutes later, Jesse and Selina were laying in their bed with Marcel in between them.

“I didn’t wanna spoil him.” Selina said quietly. “This is a pretty hard habit to break once it starts, but I can’t pull you guys apart.”

“I don’t care if this becomes a habit.” Jesse stared at Marcel, gently rubbing his arm to help him fall asleep. “This is perfect.”
