A short essay about how Caspian is mathematically not a mole (ep. 115 spoilers) (and for the whole series for that matter)
Okay, alright guys, I saw your concerns. I saw it all, and you are right to be worried that your favourite blue wet man's blue and equally wet best friend may turn out to be a traitor. And so am I, trust me. Which is why I went through every single bit of Caspian's past I could dig out to create an unltimate timeline of his entire goddamn life to see it it'd be plausible for him to become a mole at any point in time and ultimately prove his innocence! If that's something you're interested in reading, then buckle up!
"Jay, you come from a division of soliders that were purposely put to infiltrate pirate crews, especially the new and upcoming ones. This is totally seperate from the Black-Ops situation that you learned about in the Stronghold. And you, in this book, can tell that there is a plant on Lizzie's crew."
This, of course is something I need to point out first. Whoever Lizzie's mole might be, they are not a doppelganger. They are not a clone, or Black-Ops, just a solider of the Navy, a person that must have gotten into the Navy via regular recruitment, be trained by them and then put into a spy division. Jay ofc had this entire process sped up, due to her grandma's influence, but no one other than her, especially an Undersea citizen, who would probably have to put in extra effort to be trusted given their shaky political situation few years back, would get the same treatment. What I'm trying to say, Caspian would need time, at least few years of training to become a mole they'd trust to infiltrate a crew, and not just any crew might I add. More on that later. Let's go back to his most early years for now. This is a fragment of episode 84 in which Caspian talks to Gillion abt his early life:
C: We all have family. I consider my life up here, this crew to be my found family. But my previous…tribe with the water genasi in the Undersea, where I was growing up…sort of in a [illegible]... remember me telling you about the outskirts? We um…was very nomadic, quite a, quite a peaceful, tranquil life, but it was always, you know…mixed with this life of poverty and my family wasn’t very…wouldn’t really have much but the water around us, and each other, I suppose, so uh…You know...I mean my mother didn’t make it past old age, and uh…
G: I’m sorry…
C: When my sister left the tribe, my father sort of fell into a depression of sorts and he stopped moving around. And when we stayed in one place, I was 18 or so, maybe 16, it was a while ago, and then…that’s when I left as well. Ventured to the Oversea, and um…and it’s history, so that’s my family. Not sure what they’re up to these days, I mean…I know my sister went to the capital, where you were.
G: Pirating is a pretty lucrative business, maybe if…we managed to find them or run into them, we can give something back, put them in a better situation.
C: …Well um…I mean this was 10-15, 10 to 12 to 15 years ago, quite some, quite some time, so I don’t even know if my father is alive still, I mean I don’t really have the desire to go back to the undersea, Gill.
G: Wha-why not?
C: Because I like my life up here. This is where I’m happy.
So, before we go to what all of that entails, one more quick crazy thing to mention: so, Caspian's sister is an Elder of the Undersea. Like for sure. This is confirmed by this part from ep. 79:
The Triton who you remember as the Elder Odolaf, who looks like he is about to speak, but is cut off by the water genasi, who has been doing a lot of talking thus far, who is Elder Celeste. They stand up and there is a familiarity that you notice now in their face. It’s like you have met them before, but not in the way that you know them because they are the Elder, but in a way that it’s like, they look like somebody you know. And she has sort of these uh, white tied-up like dreads that are tied up in like a bun and they come across the face and then one side is shaved. And there are beads and piercings in her hair, her ears are a little bit more sea elf-like in the way that they are pointed and they kind of like gradient into pink. They all kind of wear the same sort of ornate robes, though hers is more, I guess faded and like cut a bit, look a bit more warriorous, or like tribal, but still very well-made and professional.
Tribal clothing, a water genasi, that looks like someone Gillion saw before in the face. The only water genasi Gillion met after leaving the Undersea is Caspian. Elder Celeste is Caspian's sister. Wild. Anyway, not what we're here for, but I needed to mention that.
The crazier thing is that Caspian left to Oversea when he was 16-18, and it has been 10-15 years since then. That means Caspian is currently 26 at possible youngest, and 33 at his oldest, which was surprising to me, I did not imagine Caspian as a man in his 30s! But that's straight up facts, so holy shit, you know?
Okay, so I'm going to list a lot of small facts that determine a lot of ages in quick succession. I hope it's not gonna be too scary to look at, I'll simplify it all at the end. [Deep inhale]
Right now Gillion is 22. So when Caspian left the Undersea, Gillion was 12-7. Jay is 21 and Ava was 2 years older, same age as Lizzie. So Lizzie is 23 now. When Caspian left the Undersea, she was 13-8. Chip is 19, so Lizzie is 4 years older. Hole in the Sea happened when Chip was 9, so Lizzie was 13. So Caspian left the Undersea around the same time Lizzie crashed on the uninhabited island with Chey after the Hole.
It's a lot, I know, I know. So let me clear this up a little.
Hole in the sea was 10 years ago. Chip was 9, Lizzie was 13. 10 years ago Caspian was in the age between 16 and 23, and he left the Undersea when he was 16 or 18. So roughly at the same time the Black Sea happened, Caspian came to the surface for the first time.
(also pls note that we are talking in estimates, casue in ep. 36 Lizzie says she was 11 when the hole happened, but in ep. 101 she says she was the same age as Ava which by the power of math would put her at 13. Either way, somewhere around that age)
After that, Lizzie spend some time on an uninhabited island with Chey, the Black Rose cook, who sacrificed herself for Liz, so she could survive and died shortly after. We do not know how much time passed, but I assume no longer than few months, and after that she was saved by Captain Shadowbeard where she met Caspian. They were a part of Shadowbeard's crew, Caspian saved her from the massacre where Shadowbeard was killed, and then Lizzie went on to create her own crew, Grandberry Pirates with Caspian never leaving her for a second since he met her. That means that the only time Caspian could have joined the Navy would be RIGHT after he came to the Oversea for the first time, roughly at the same time Lizzie was stranded on an island, and in that short period of time (between Lizzie's crash on the island and her being found by Shadowbeard) he would have to find the time to be trusted and accepted by Navy, get trained specifically for infiltration AND infiltrate not anyones BUT FUCKING SHADOWBEARD'S SHIP. Not a NEW crew. A crew of one of the most legendary pirates on the sea. Cause before Lizzie, Caspian was Sadowbeard's crew member, and since then he never stopped being a pirate, so if he was a solider, he would have had to be one before Shadowbeard. And remeber what Grizzly said in 115: "Jay, you come from a division of soliders that were purposely put to infiltrate pirate crews, especially the new and upcoming ones."
Shadowbeard was not new. Not upcoming. He was dangerous and Navy must have had the balls of steal to send a rookie solider, which Caspian would have been at that point in time, to infiltrate him. The numbers say it's impossible. Guys, the numbers! They don't add up!
Anyway, so basically Caspian could not be a mole. He is not a new pirate, he was not a member of a fresh crew, becaue his pirate journey did not start with Lizzy, it started with Shadowbeard. Grandberry Pirates is a new crew, but Caspian is not a newbie in it. You know who is? Rudith. I mean what kind of doctor lets a bunch of rowdy pirates have a secret base under a place where sick and vulnerable rest??? Like ANY other place would have been better and more respectful! Also you know what's interesting? Gillion could heal these people with lay on hands easily, and yet the only thing Rudith did for them was give them potions that didn't seem to help and look after them on purely non-medical level. Bro didn't do shit. Like, why would you even become a doctor without having access to healing magic? The answer, you are not. You are a Navy solider in disguise.
Okay, okay, I'm done, that's all. If you got this far, you are a hero, thank you for reading this insanely long ramble, but that's kind of the conclusions that I came to, of course, any counter-theories and discussion in general is very much welcome! I'd love to hear your opinions! Love you guys, bye~

The grumble in your stomach spoke volumes for you at both the mention and smell of the food in front of you. Perhaps you could be swayed, just this once.  Dinner was delicious and much needed. Megumi expressed his concerns when you didn't eat everything, but he understood you were probably still having issues processing everything that would cause nausea. He was happy you at least ate something, and reasoned that you now had leftovers for breakfast or lunch tomorrow. And he was even happier he decided to order dessert as well, because everyone knows there's a second stomach for dessert. The sun had set over the horizon, leaving you to bask in the faint yellow glow of your living room side table lamp as you watched whatever cheesy overbudget blockbuster played on the TV. It captured your attention enough to know what was going on, but not enough to have you disregard the gentle strokes of Megumi's hand on your upper bicep. Your legs were bunched up, body leaning into his side, his cheek resting on his palm propped up by his elbow on the arm of your couch. This was the closest you've had to something pure and domestic since... as long as you can remember. The change of pace was nice, it was welcome, comforting, and although it didn't take your mind off of what could potentially be a huge problem, it offered some ease on your conscience. That was more than enough, you thought. Although your brief moment of passion and admiration had fizzled away as fast as it had come on, the static of his fingertips soothingly brushing against your skin made you crave something a little more from him. You didn't think he'd be so willing to reciprocate considering the situation, so you didn't bother saying anything. The shift of your legs, the subtle squeeze of your thighs, the blanket you had removed from your shoulders didn't go unnoticed by Megumi, his watchful eyes catching your gaze once or twice out of the corner of his eye. You mistook it for irritation, muttering a small apology whenever you moved around too much. What you didn't see was how he looked you up and down every time you move. Eventually he settled on moving his hand up, then down a bit lower, up again, then lower, eventually resting his grip on your clothed waist. He's being protective, he's keeping me close just in case, you thought, don't make this uncomfortable. Don't fuck this up. An over the top explosion on the TV gave you enough time to swallow the lump in your throat, hoping it was loud enough to cover what could only be considered an embarrassing attempt at tamping your feelings down. It must have not done the job, if his hand sliding down to your hip was a tell at all. "Are you uncomfortable?" Megumi spoke up, side eyeing you once again. You inhaled, choking on the yes, I want you so bad lodged in your throat. "N–No, I'm okay." You didn't further elaborate, cheeks burning hotter than the sun. All you could think about when he looked at you like that was how pretty he was hovering over you, sweat slick hair sticking to his forehead, his long eyelashes brushing against your cheeks as he consumed you in entirety. It sounded like he muttered something about you looking too warm, but the slide of his hand up your shirt to make direct contact with the soft skin at your waist completely fried your brain. You shook your head, just in case that's what he did say so you could cover your tracks. "Good," He affirmed, thumb stroking your bare skin. Your breathing quickened, eyes unfocused and glazed over, completely lost on whatever new developments were happening on the screen in front of you. The thought of maybe he's teasing me flew across your mind, and as if reading your thoughts his tender hand stroked higher, up your ribcage, across your chest, fingers caressing the underside of your breast– And moved back down to your hip. You were lightheaded, letting out the breath you were holding in an involuntary whine. Your hand came up to cup over your mouth, mortified, and unable to look up at whatever disappointed expression was awaiting you. Why did you have to be so fucking horny all the time, he was going to get up, he was going to leave. Except it never came. Sheepishly, you glanced up, seeing his eyes glued to the television, head still propped up in his hand. He didn't look particularly interested– but when did he ever look particularly interested in anything– his thumb stroking over your clothed hip in a lazy circular motion. How did he not notice that? You failed to realize that as sweet as Megumi Fushiguro was to you, he enjoyed turning around your game of cat and mouse that he had been tirelessly playing for the last however many years of his life. Just when you had managed to will your heart to calm down and not jump out of your throat, the tips of his fingers dipped below your lounge shorts, skimming along the hem. Your thighs squeezed again, rubbing together as brief as possible hoping to offer some form of relief. All it did was garner more attention. Wordlessly, Megumi slid his fingers out of your shorts, hand moving down, following the curve of your thigh. He was mere inches away from your desperate heat, fingers sliding between your thighs. The way you shifted them open for him definitely did not go unnoticed, resulting in him pulling his hand up to your lower tummy, tracing circles underneath your navel. "Please," You finally croaked, eyes screwed shut and ears burning. "Hm?" He replied half-heartedly, "What do you need?" That little shit knew exactly what he was doing. "Please touch me," You breathed, quick to correct yourself because you knew he'd give some smart-ass response, "Please touch m–my– oh." The smart-ass response never came, the trail of his fingers diving between your clothed legs, index and middle finger stroking a couple languid stripes up and down the crevice of your pussy, before circling your clit with agonizingly gentle pressure. Enough to get you worked up, but not enough to offer any relief. "Gumi," You whispered, throwing your head back against the couch in frustrated anguish, "Please, more." His hand dipped below the hem of your shorts, following the same pattern he traced down, up, down, sinking his fingers between your folds briefly before coming back up to your clit. "You're already so wet," Megumi breathed, shifting his weight so he was leaning into you, "Is this what you wanted?" The sound you made could only be described as air being punched out of your diaphragm, eyes sliding open to look up at him. His pretty half lidded eyes, his long pretty eyelashes, the pretty slope of his nose, and the pretty curve of his lips. He was drinking you in, enjoying how little he had to do to wrap you around his finger like you had so easily done to him. So engulfed in his fingers spinning rough circles around your clit, you didn't notice the hand cupping your jaw, leading you to his lips as the final nail in your coffin. He was slow, languid, taking his time in savoring your everything. Your eyes closed, room spinning as he licked into your mouth, your tongue matching his fervor. When his fingers left your clit, you whined into his mouth, but quickly found yourself being tugged into his waiting lap. Lithe, strong hands gripped your hips, sliding you back and forth a few times for good measure. The defined tent in his pants caught on your heat in the most mind meltingly delicious way, but the friction wasn't enough, you needed more. As if reading your mind, a firm slap to your ass had you jerking forwards onto your knees, his hands working quick to strip your shorts down as far as he could. "Up. Take them off," Megumi didn't often take an authoritative tone, but when he did he meant business. "Now." You trembled, knees shaking as you peeled your shorts down one leg, then removing them from the other. With no underwear in the way, you took your seat back on your throne, his increasingly desperate hands grasping your ass and guiding you back and forth on his clothed erection once more. He was laser focused, eyes trained on the growing wet patch on the front of his pants, eyes only flicking up when your hands slid up to his shoulders. You were mesmerized with him, the heave of his chest, the roll of his hips, and the way he lifted the hem of your shirt only to place it between your lips. "Hold it," Megumi demanded, giving you an approving nod when you took it between your teeth. It was only a moment, a second or two that he took to admire your body, before ducking his head, taking a pebbled bud between his lips and sucking, licking, nipping to his hearts content. Your head flung back, a cry falling from your lips at the upturn of his hips followed by the sudden onslaught of abuse to your chest. A quiet, muttered fuck tumbled from his lips, one hand moving from your hip to your eager soaking cunt. He parted you, middle finger delving into your dripping sex, earning another cry from your plush lips. He didn't wait, ring finger following suit, stroking up and down inside your tight throbbing walls. His free hand shot up, thumb and forefinger toying with your freshly wet nipple as his mouth worked the other. You were falling fast, completely overwhelmed with how urgent every single one of his actions were, with how fast everything had progressed. The sweet shy boy that loved and adored you turned his head, revealing a second more sinister face. It would be a lie to say you didn't enjoy both. A particular buck of your hips left you careening, teetering over the edge, the heel of his hand pressing up into your clit. "Gumi, please please– gonna cum, gonna–" Everything stopped. The wet smack of his lips pulling back from you, his hand promptly abandoning your aching mound. You whined pathetically, desperately, opening your eyes to look down at him with as much, if not more desperation. You didn't get a chance to make him feel bad before he was tossing you down onto the couch, hand reaching behind him to toss the gun on your coffee table, pushing his lounge pants down to his knees. "Don't act like a brat," Megumi huffed, hands pulling your ankles up to his shoulder, squeezing your legs together, "When have I ever not given you exactly what you wanted?" You gasped when his cock slid between your thighs, catching on the precipice of your throbbing core and bumping against your clit. "I–I– don't kn–know." "Never," He thrust down, fucking into your thighs as if to prove a point, "I've always given you everything you wanted. You'll get what you want, so shut up." "Mhn," You moaned intelligently. Hi gentle hands yet rough treatment had you reeling, your head below water and filled to the brim with fog. The catch of his cock head on your clit with every single thrust was easily bringing you back up to your impending orgasm he'd already denied you of. It was embarrassingly wet, the slide of his length against your pussy between your thighs, coating the inside of your thighs with a mix of your slick and his precum. It only added to your arousal, the audible slide back and forth between your thighs. You huffed, eyes rolling back as your orgasm built up once again. You pondered not telling him, but he was more perceptive than that. "Please Gumi, gonna cum... need it," You cried, eyes parting to look up at the intense look on his face, watching you like a hawk. "Cum for me baby." And you did. Just as the rope snapped, your edged orgasm ripping through you with tenfold intensity, Megumi parted your legs, shoving himself to the hilt in tandem. The motion ripped a scream from your throat, eyes rolling back so far you swore you could've snapped your optic nerve. Megumi grunted in response, rotating his hips once, twice, for good measure. "Fuck, you're tight," Megumi heaved a shuddered breath, obviously basking in your post orgasm convulsions, "So good for me." His praise shot straight down to your core, whimpering for him to please move, and getting exactly what you wanted. He pulled out to the tip, slamming back in with force, setting a slow but bruising pace. You didn't even register the incessant babbling and whimpering as your own voice, completely lost in the push and pull of his thick cock, the press of your thighs into your abdomen. Megumi adjusted his grip on your legs, hands pressing your thighs further into yourself, leaning over your body and hooking your calves over his shoulders. "Fuck, you feel so– fucking– good–" He slammed his hips harder, deeper, emphasizing his words by bullying his cock into you like a man on a mission. "S'good, feelsgood, Gumi," You babbled, opening your eyes when you felt his breath fanning your face. He was picturesque, skin dewy with exertion, brows furrowed in absolute focus, aquamarine eyes boring into you with utmost care and affection. "Kiss–" You didn't get to finish, his mouth finding yours with desperate fervor in a kiss that was more tongue and teeth than lips. Pulling, tugging, pushing, a thick line of spit dribbling past your kiss plumped lower lip and down your chin. Megumi locked your legs over his shoulders, pressing his weight down into you, one hand coming to press over your lower tummy where his cock was bruising you with force, his thumb coming down to rub your clit. You saw stars, legs seizing, hands scrambling to grab whatever surface was underneath you, blankets, couch cushion, pillows, it didn't matter. Your head flung back, a steady stream of pitchy whines, moans, and gonna cum again, 'm gonna cum again tumbling from your lips. "Gonna cum again for me?" Megumi gripped your cheeks I his hand, forcing you to look at him. "Is my baby gonna cum for me?" You nodded dumbly, not trusting any coherent words to leave your lips. He squeezed your cheeks, slowing his thrusts, slowing his abuse on your clit. Another shameless whine, earning a small shake of his hand grabbing your face. "I'll let you cum on one condition," His tone was low, intimidating, "You're mine." You nodded. "Say it." "'M yours," You cried out as desperately as you could, trying to arch your hips up to meet him halfway, "'m yours, promise, 'm all yours, please please please let me cum, cum inside me, make me yours–" That was all it took for him to fuck you into oblivion, all sense of self preservation thrown out the window. His thumb working over your clit worked twice as hard, hips snapping into you so hard you were sure your entire apartment complex knew you were getting absolutely fucked up. It was blinding, fireworks behind your eyes as you came, your entire body quaking at the intensity. You put a hand on his chest, 's too much, but all you could do was lay there and take his continued onslaught of abuse on your wrecked cunt. "Fuck– gonna fill you up, make you mine. Here you go baby," Megumi groaned, hips stuttering as he filled you to the brim with ropes upon ropes of white hot seed, before slowing to a complete stop. Heady lips found you once again, first your forehead, then your nose, then a long, slow press against your own lips, soaking in your beautiful post-sex afterglow. His arms were shaking, pulling back so he could unfold you from your position, wrapping your legs around his thin waist tenderly. Every movement, every adjust of your position, made you groan in protest. Lean arms scooped you up by your thighs, bodies still connected as he stood from the couch. "Let's get you cleaned up," He whispered into your hair, kicking his pants the rest of the way off before carrying you to the bathroom. You were cleaned up, much to your protest when Megumi crouched between your legs, peppering kisses up your inner thigh. Your cheeks heated up seeing his tongue poke out, licking a small stripe up the innermost part of your thigh, leaving the implication that he was far from done with you tonight. Part of you was hoping you would get a decent sleep, but he insisted that you need to forgive a parched man for drinking in all he can of a beautiful oasis. So you allowed it, allowed him to drink you in, give and take and push and pull until you could see the starting of the sun poking up above the horizon, until all you could do is lay in each other's embrace and wordlessly admire. If he looked tired, you must look absolutely wrecked, but the tired droop of his eyes always complimented his disheveled features. "Gumi?" You whispered, fighting to keep your eyes open. He reached up, cupping the side of your face, stroking up and down. "I love you," Megumi whispered, as if it were a secret for you and only you, something to hold close to your heart, "So much." You smiled, eyes sliding shut at his gentle caress, gentle words, a tired amused exhale forced from your lungs. "I love you too, Gumi. I'm yours, always." It didn't take long for you to doze off in his arms, pulled impossibly close after your confession. You missed the upturn of his lips, the caress of his knuckles against your cheek, the brush of his thumb against your lips, his eyes and hands mapping you out in your entirety, committing every single blemish and freckle and scar to memory. Megumi Fushiguro knew that if he were to die tomorrow, he could die a happy man knowing that the love of his life was finally and indefinitely in his arms.

How BAD BUDDY SERIES | EP.11 [4/4] Tricked the Fandom
Those who were there watching Bad Buddy live will remember the chaos that ensued after episode 11 (my beloved) and with it the episode 12 preview (derogatory) dropped. Watching a happy and hopeful episode, ending in a lovely montage with an even lovelier song, being told things such as "we became two people who can’t be just friends" or "I want you to know that this world can’t change someone like me either", only to be punched in the gut by "Pat and I broke up" in the very next moment. Those of you who were there will remember how – after the fandom had finally picked up its shattered pieces – there was a scramble to figure out what the hell was happening exactly, how the hell we even got to this point.
And you will also remember the fandom deciding on a specific scene being The Breakup Scene. But how can that be? How can a breakup scene even exist when we know (in retrospective) that they never actually broke up? Did the fandom just collectively hallucinate a scene that wasn't there?
Well, no. Of course not. I think the reason why it worked, the reason why this scene managed to trick the fandom into believing that this was actually the breakup talk was because for one terrifying moment Pran himself thinks it's a breakup talk. However, the fandom was so blinded by the ep 12 preview that it completely missed one key factor from that scene which Pran did realize: it's not in fact a breakup, but the exact opposite of it.
So let's get into it, let's take a closer look at Bad Buddy Ep. 11 [4/4] (01:58 - 05:15) and Pran's emotional rollercoaster during this specific scene:
The scene starts out with Pat sitting on the bench, lost in thought. His exact thought process here is for the viewer to decide, but whatever he is reflecting on has to do with him finally accepting the inevitability of having to back home. And considering his upcoming monologue, he's probably also thinking about his love for Pran and Pran's love for him.
His thinking gets interrupted when Pran walks into the scene, dangling the shirts into Pat's face. They have an interaction about the shirts, Pat puts one on while Pran can't keep his hands off of him, they exchange some words and Pran doesn't really notice Pat's pensive mood, when suddenly –
Tumblr media
Pat grabs Pran's hand. Pran was not expecting that, and he looks up at Pat in surprise, asking a silent What is it, what's going on? And I think it's only here that Pran really notices the weird mood Pat is in.
Pat says "thank you" and although Pran looks concerned about Pat's sudden mood change, Pat's words also make Pran smile, though he's still very confused, having absolutely no context for Pat's emotional state and thus having no idea where this is suddenly coming from. "Thank you for what?" Pran asks, still with that searching look in his eyes that asks What's gotten into you all of a sudden? Is everything alright?
Tumblr media
Pat replies "For trying to make a silly guy like me happy". And Pran's smile falls just a little bit as he realizes that this? really isn't just Pat being his usual sappy self, this right here is a Serious™ conversation indeed:
Tumblr media
Finally, Pran too has arrived in serious mode completely. He now shifts his attention fully to Pat, listening intently to Pat's words, staying focused on Pat the entire time.
Pat says "I know that sooner or later we will need to go back." This gets a very subtle smile out of Pran (you can see how the corner of his mouth on the right side of the screen goes up just a tiniest bit):
Tumblr media
Pran reacts to those words, because this has been their conflict throughout the entire episode so far: Pran being realistic, having accepted from the start that they would have to return at some point while Pat was so desperately trying to stay in that pretense that they could just make a new life somewhere else and not turn back, refusing to acknowledge that in the long run this just wouldn't work out. But now Pat is finally acknowledging this, letting Pran know that he understands and that they're on the same page about this. "I know too well",* Pat says and Pran looks like he's about to cry from adoration for Pat pls he's so in love takes that acknowledgement in, still with a hint of a smile on his face.
*(Side note: I seem to hear ทำไมกูจะไม่รู้ว่ะ (tammai-goo-jà-mâi-róo-wâ) and I think the more literal translation of this sentence would actually be something like "Why wouldn't I know?". Though I'd have to ask a Thai native to confirm as I don't trust my own Thai skills yet. Anyway, I just thought the rhetorical question was interesting in regard to Pran reacting to Pat's statement, bc the rhetorical question addresses Pran more directly compared to the declarative sentence from the subtitles. His reaction is kind of like a reply to that rhetorical question.)
Tumblr media
But that hint of a smile is wiped right off Pran's face when Pat continues with "But I just want to stay as long as we can."
Tumblr media
And this the moment where the thought hits Pran for the first time that Pat's speech might actually lead to a breakup. He is confused (why would they need to break up over this?) and there is now fear and worry in his eyes. He looks a little scared, his mouth twitches a little, accompanied by the tiniest headshake and there are many questions written all over his face: What are you talking about?? Where is this going?? No, it can't be... Are you implying what I think you're implying?? I don't follow...
And Pat just keeps going: "Be with you for at least one more day."
One more day. That very much does sound like a breakup, doesn't it? Especially if you're already half expecting one. This line confirms Pran's fear of Pat actually being in the process of ending their relationship, leaving Pran on the verge of tears.
Tumblr media
But Pran is a fighter and he's not giving in that easily. He sniffs away his rising tears and says "What are you talking about? Get dressed. The bar is opening soon."
Tumblr media
What are you saying? We're not breaking up. We're staying here, we'll work at the bar and we'll be together. It'll be fine, don't worry.
Now it's Pran's turn to deflect. To indulge in that fantasy of being able to just run away together into the sunset where everything is all sunshine and rainbows. Because Pran would much rather face the hardships that they might run into if they actually stayed at the beach together than go back home to live a life without Pat. I can be anywhere as long as I have you.
If this is Pat letting him go, Pran really doesn't want to hear it:
Tumblr media
Unfortunately, the scene cuts to Pat really quickly, but I just need you all to appreciate Pran's pouty puppy eyes at the end there, because they're the saddest thing I've ever seen:
Tumblr media
I won't let you do this, his eyes say. Please don't do this to me, his eyes say. Please tell me you're not really doing this, his eyes say, tell me you're coming to work at Uncle Yod's bar with me. We're staying here, together, you hear me?
Except then Pat surprises Pran yet again. And here comes the part that the fandom completely overlooked in the light of the ep 12 preview:
Because then Pat says "Nobody works on their honeymoon."
And it's absolutely hilarious how Pran's brain immediately gets stuck in "error 404 not found" mode. You can literally see the loading circle going round and round in his brain as he tries to comprehend what Pat has just said:
Tumblr media
Honeymoon?? Why are you suddenly talking about something that's related to weddings? Weren't we breaking up a second ago? What in the world is going on?
"You never leave me. You fight alongside me. That makes me feel very happy." Pat says and that's when Pran realizes. This conversation was never about a breakup. This is a conversation about commitment. It's an acknowledgment of Pran's love for Pat and the commitment he's shown over the course of their relationship. And it's a promise that Pat appreciates it, has appreciated it in the past and will appreciate it in the future. Pat has more or less just said his wedding vows to Pran.
And that's when Pran can no longer hold back his tears. Partly due to the relief that he won't lose Pat and partly because he's so moved by Pat's speech, by Pat's love.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
And then Pat tells Pran that he's finally ready to go home: "I will let Uncle Yod know that we quit. Wait for me here."
And with that Pat brings closure to the conflict of this episode. They are finally going back home, they are finally going to face their parents. But in this scene right here Pat and Pran made it clear to each other that they'll be doing so with full commitment to one other – they will be doing so together, and that's a promise. They really did just essentially get married on their little beach getaway. They got more or less engaged on the staircase in ep 10 and now in ep 11 they are following up on that engagement. This trip really was their little honeymoon. And this calls for a celebration:
"It’s our last night on this honeymoon. I will not just stay in and be lonely. If we aren’t going to work, then let’s get drunk."
Tumblr media
You see, for an entire week the fandom was so blinded by the ep 12 preview (derogatory) and the prospect of a looming breakup that unlike Pran it completely missed the part where Pat points out that they're on a honeymoon. And who goes on a honeymoon? People who just got married.
BONUS:
Can we just appreciate Pran's face when Pat says he'll tell Uncle Yod about quitting:
Tumblr media
You fucker really had me thinking we were breaking up for a hot moment there when the whole time this was actually a wedding. I was worried and scared for notHING, can you believe this man

btw it is so odd to me how much of a rarepair Rougamy is. like there is nothing, pretty much just Nothing, and it almost makes no sense from a logistical standpoint, you would expect the two most prominent female characters in the series to get shipped together but. guess not? it's not like they have no chemistry, idw has plenty of scenes with them interacting and they're all very good, they've got contrasting personalities and generally just gel well together, so with all that you'd expect there to be something
but . nope. Blazamy is the more prominent wlw Amy ship by a LONG shot, even though their amount of canon interactions is about the same (counting IDW, of course), with Surgamy coming in at a close second. don't be mistaken, i love all of these ships! i think they all have their fun traits that i like and honestly i would definitely rather them all coexist, Amy should get all the pretty girls in the world, but like. it's odd right?? the only thing i can think of that would prevent it is the old Sonic Channel age listings, which for the longest time made it seem like Amy was 12 and Rouge was 18, which just. doesn't check out. specially considering Sonamy is still being ever so slightly pushed in canon content (or rather Amy's crush is clearly still present), so having her be THAT much younger compared to Sonic would make no sense. And Sonic being 15 in of itself doesn't exactly check out either, chronologically speaking. Remember, these ages were removed for a reason (Amy specially, since it came from the american manual for Sonic Heroes which is full of shit and lists Rouge as 17 for some reason). So, it's infinitely more likely that Rouge and Amy ARE compatible; maybe at one point they weren't, and that could be a concern, but really they didn't interact that much pre-IDW and pre-Forces in general so it. kinda hardly matters?
ik most people wouldn't know this, they'd just look at the ages listed on the Fandom wiki, which are STILL the now-removed Sonic Channel wikis and go "oh, ew, don't do that"
BUT THEN WHY WOULD PEOPLE SHIP BLAZOUGE . i get it's also pretty rare but it's even RARER than Rougamy, so it's just. ????
so like yeah while i know not much can be done about it it's still just. a bit baffling to me how Rougamy has basically no content whatsoever. there's some reasons, but none of them hold up and it kinda just makes me wonder

Vent
TW: mentions of bl0od, some cusswords, dysphoria
I was questioning my identity as a non-human, and I mightve figured that I most closely identified to being a vampirekin (potentially a fictokin? Idk if I spelled that right) or an alienkin. Also keep in mind that Im fifteen, so my vent could have a few grammatical mistakes.
I could be a therian as well but I realized that I could be 'choosing' to identify as one to find some community to relate to (since Im autistic and cant really socialize with people, especially with my peers in HS). I dont necessarily feel a connection with most animals, let alone nature, and I felt emotionally numb when I did quadrobics.
So there's probably a low chance of me actually having a connection to animals, therefore it wouldnt be best for me to identify as a therian. But at the same time, Ive shown the most important criteria of being a therian, such as dreaming, shifting, etc,. Specifically, Ive shifted into a bat (flying fox) in dreams and phantom shifts. This could have some correlation to being a vampirekin in a sort pf eay though, because in the dream I remember I was a vampire.
On the otherhand, Ive always had some connection with supernatural beings and aliens. I think I was around seven when I watched a vampire movie (hotel trannsylvania) and I quickly felt this weird connection with the vampires. I legit wanted to be a vampire, hell I even dreamt of becoming one multiple times (I still do, Ive tried lucid dreaming because of that). The problem was that I didnt have the urge to drink blood, I mean I've tried when I was 12-14 (Im 15 now) and in my edgy phase (so its either I did that because its cool or because it has something to do with my kintype). Idk, my guess is that I could have some non-human dysphoria (since I always wanted sharper canines), maybe a bit of a psychological connection to vampire kintype, and definitely an emotionally connection to vampire kins.
But theres another problem, because I noticed that the vampires that I had an emotional connection to most were only from the castlevania show. I am aware that multiple shows/movies/etc,. can potray vampires in various perspectives but if I only related to vampires from one specifc kind of show, then shouldnt that logically indicate that Im a fictokin? I've kinned multiple characters because I was able to relate to their personalities, backstories, development, etc,. (even though those specifc characters werent created to be relatable)
So my concerns are that;
I dont know if its possible to have multiple other-kin types. I mean it sorta makes sense, since there can be gray areas in a black and white concepts but still lmao-
Also, if my idenity as a therian and otherkin are both valid, Im afraid if I might be considered cringe or delusional. Like I've seen people react to cringe comps with people saying that they're (example): "lesbian, transgender, cat/wolf therian, fictokin" (Im just putting random identities as an example, no bigotry intended) and they did not take that lightly, because apparently those peopke are putting 'too many labels on themselves'. Because of that, Im afraid if I might be one of those people, since I also personally identify as a lot of stuff (trans male, pansexual, potentially otherkin/therian).
I'm not sure if I'm choosing to be a therian/otherkin, since I could be trying to fit myself into a specific community due to social isolation (which Ive struggled with my entire life). Im also scared if my identity could be a phase too tbh.
Honestly any advice is appreciated, I would also definitely like to know how yall figured out that you were non-humans <3

20 Questions For Fic Writers
So I was tagged by @agerefandom for this fun little game. Thanks for thinking of me! Seeing as how a lot of these questions are AO3 focused and a bunch of my agere writing is here on Tumblr, I may blend my answers a bit. Hope that's okay! Anyhow, going to pop this under a readmore so as to not clog anybody's dash. 🌙
1.) How many stories do you have on A03?
On my primary AO3 account I currently have four public works and six private works, though I've published quite a few more on the site under a different pseud. And then I have many headcanon posts/ficlets here, of course.
2.) What's your total A03 word count?
My total AO3 word count is 51,743 words (again, that is just for my primary). Comparatively, the word count for my little old blog here sits at 145,222 words! (Not including my minis, that's just my big posts.)
3.) What fandoms do you write for?
Whatever speaks to me, really! If it's something I'm a fan of, there's a good chance I've got WIPs and scraps squirreled away in my files for it. Whether those ever see the light of day is another story entirely however haha.
4.) Top 5 fics by kudos?
Going to do another split answer here—my top (public) fic over on AO3 is Being Okay. My top blog posts are regressor!Zuko, regressor!Peter Parker, regressor!Bruce Wayne with cg!Clark Kent, and regressor!Shigaraki Tomura with cg!Sako Atsuhiro.
5.) Do you respond to comments?
Always! Unless some terrible, ill-fate has befallen me (migraine or some such), I make sure to respond to people's comments.
6.) What is the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?
I believe the angstiest ending I've written is for one of my private works tbh. Whether I'm writing fanfic or original work I tend to gravitate towards themes like the loss of self and what it means to be changed. Change can be good, yes, but there's always grief there as well.
7.) What's the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?
This is a harder one to answer, given that the happiest/fluffiest stuff I write is for the blog and even then I skew towards hurt/comfort. Maybe Taako on Board? That one I tagged as fluff at least, but it's a few years old now so it isn't the greatest.
8.) Do you get hate on fics?
Mm, not particularly? I did receive a rather rude comment the other day, but I just blocked and moved along. I have received a few "kys" messages over my agere works before, though it's been awhile since the last one.
9.) Do you write smut?
Indeed I do! Though perhaps not in the most traditional sense? Flashing my ace card here. When I write smut the focus is more on the sensuality and emotions rather than the physicality of the scene since that aspect doesn't exactly appeal to me. But none of that is posted here, of course.
10.) Craziest crossover?
While I'm not against crossovers, I personally haven't written any. I've certainly come across some neat ones though!
11.) Have you ever had a fic stolen?
Not in its entirety, no. Though I have had scenes and ideas clearly lifted beat for beat, with the person admitting they "saw the idea around but couldn't remember where" despite it being a small community back then. But hey, it's fanfic. They can play in the space all they like as far as I'm concerned.
12.) Have you ever had a fic translated?
Funnily enough, I have been approached quite a few times over the years about having one fic or another translated or made into a podfic. Each time I've given the go ahead, but nothing ever came of it.
13.) Have you co-written a fic before?
No, not unless you consider rp as co-writing a fic. Which personally I feel like it counts? It is co-writing.
14.) All-time favorite ship?
Oh, a real toughie! There are so many... I enjoy Erasermic, obviously. Really any combination of the rooftops (all four of them), as I have always been one to polyship. I've been reading a lot of Kazumaji lately though. And then there are the classics that will always have me, like Vegebul.
15.) What's a wip you want to finish, but doubt you ever will?
All of them haha. But really, out of my fanfic WIPs I think I'd like to finish the one that's closest to being AO3 ready. Which is (perhaps unsurprisingly) a regressor!Aizawa fic. Featuring things such as quirk shenanigans, a well-meaning yet meddlesome Class 1A, and cg!Yagi. The draft is at 21,131 words, but I just can't settle on an ending.
16.) What are your writing strengths?
Probably my ability to establish the mood of a scene? I've been told I'm very good with creating things like suspense or an unsettling atmosphere in my original works (which are quite a bit darker than what I post here, naturally).
17.) What are your writing weaknesses?
While I am forever honing my craft, I feel I always struggle with endings and perhaps always will. Also, I worry over my dialogue not sounding natural enough, or not having nailed the correct character voice. Pacing is another thing that I tend to fuss over quite a bit and tweak constantly. And I tend to operate in a cyclical manner rather than a linear one, which Western culture does not particularly favor.
18.) Thoughts on dialogue in another language?
This is pretty situational imo. If the POV character doesn't understand the other language, I tend to focus on how the words are being spoken (gently, harshly, etc.) to convey the meaning/emotion. However if it is something they speak, then I tend to indicate in another way the language they are using has changed (so typically through italics and dialogue tags). But some words and phrases don't necessarily have a one-to-one counterpart in English, and so those should be kept as is.
19.) First fandom you wrote in?
The first fandom I wrote for was Batman, I do believe. Published my first drabble of a fic over on ff.net when I was somewhere in the ballpark of 13ish. It was pretty agere adjacent, too. Iirc it was a little fluff piece with Bruce and Dick centered around the concept of bedtime.
20.) Favorite fic you've written?
Wish I could tell you, but it's a secret! As for my posts though, I think one of my favorites is my regressor!Cody Walsh, or maybeee my regressor!Okuta Kagero. I'm also very fond of my cg!Gildarts Clive post, though all of my creative works hold a special place in my heart.

On video games and writing and Fire Emblem Engage
Mainly just me musing about how I don't think the story is bad. Sorry for being annoying tbh. This is meant for my personal circle of mutuals, but maybe other people can get something out of it. Please be nice to me; I am not a professional reviewer and don't claim to be writing anything objective or anything lol. I'm also not really editing heavily for grammar or anything (if anything I try to keep a bit of order structurally but I love a comma splice idk lol).
This piece has gone through many versions in my head as I try to nail down exactly what puzzles me about the perception of the writing as being "bad".
Initially I think I was going to do a full plot breakdown and point out how logically every moment fits together and how foreshadowing + late reveals enhances certain previous moments. As I write this down, I don't think that I'll be doing that here. I almost considered a deep dive into the themes of motherhood and found family presented in the game. Not sure I'm going to do that either. At one point I also considered fully getting into common complaints (particularly some brought up from one of my folks who I deeply respect, Mr. Forte himself), but also I don't think I'll really do that.
So, what am I writing here? Maybe it's a mix of all of the above. Maybe it is none of the above. I don't really know. But I do want to talk about how this game just really vibes for me; and while I don't intend on necessarily changing anyone's mind, I want to at least provide some perspective on why I personally enjoy it so that others can understand my perspective at the very least.
Perhaps I will succeed in that. Perhaps I will fail. Let's find out together. (Again I'm doing like very minimal editing. Please excuse grammatical errors/typos. If anything is unclear, ask and I'll try to clarify. But I'm bad at tumblr so either tweet at me or send it through an ask please.)
Prologue: Who? What? Why?
To start, I'm in my early 30s. The video game that made me love video games was Super Mario RPG, and my earliest gaming memories include me watching my dad beat up the robot evil Santa at the end (also him playing some NBA game on SNES). FE games I have played start to finish: 8 (Ephraim), 11, 12, 13, 14 (all 3), 15, 16 (all routes), and 17. FE games I have played a bit of but didn't finish for various reasons (mainly I got distracted and forgor 💀): 1, 4, 5, 7, and 9. None of this actually matters that much, but maybe there's a generational and/or fandom divide of some sort and this provides useful context.
I am not a writer by trade nor hobby. Writing is actually one of my least favorite things to do (this is potentially related to OCD brain "just right" stuff), to the point where I chose my college major specifically based on which had the least amount of classes that I could actually complete without having to write essays. I am a math person. I do like consuming and dissecting written fiction though.
This piece is meant to be mostly explanatory. I want to give my perspective as best I can. I decided other writing styles would be too combative for what amounts to something we're consume for enjoyment. I just want to pass on some understanding of how I feel.
I think the best way to do this is generally avoid spoilers, but I will include a specifically marked section where I discuss all spoilery things that come to mind (anything that I intend to come back to in this spoiler section will be marked with a *). Any non-FE games mentioned will not be spoiled beyond kind of a general "a reveal happened in a way that bugged me" type of stuff, if even that is a concern here's a list of the games vaguely mentioned so you can crtl+f: Tales of Zestiria, AI The Somnium Files: Nirvana Initiative, Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney - Dual Destinies. It all happens within two paragraphs, so you can just skip them if needed.
(Also I may accidentally use he/him pronouns for Alear because M Alear was the one I played with first, but I do generally think of FE avatars as the same being regardless of gender and try to use they/them when speaking to things both versions experience, which is like everything besides the hair colors being flipped and class options?)
Chapter I: What Is "Bad Writing" To Me?
Ok if you're reading this I assume you are at least in high school, and for that reason I'm not going to walk anyone through that level of analysis. In no way is this meant to be a lecture and I'm not trying to give any particularly deep literary analysis. That feels kind of like a pretentious thing to do in this situation.
So, bad writing? To me the biggest thing I consider bad writing is when an idea is not communicated well. This could be contradictory messaging, poor delivery, puzzling execution, etc. Obviously this can happen to various degrees of "bad", but I will not consider a story to have bad writing unless the writing breaks the experience in some way.
A broken experience is not the same to me as a negative one. To me a negative experience is just a matter of taste in the end and not a matter of "bad writing". Boring writing is not the same as bad writing even if it makes the experience painful. A broken experience has to be bad to the point where you just do not understand what they were attempting at all.
One game that comes to mind on this is Tales of Zestiria. I loved the characters in that game, and the main story itself is largely logical. But it was written so messily that there's a point where it becomes truly incoherent. To this day I have no idea what was going on with Dezel and Rose's personal histories despite a major climax of that game being built around the moment things get revealed for them. Again, it was overall a fun game, but it was definitely one I would claim had some bad writing.
Another situation that comes to mind that can be a spark for bad writing is when a reveal sours previous experiences. Misleading an audience can work really well in some ways. Ace Attorney 5 (Dual Destinies) has a reveal that has made me not want to replay it at all, but I don't believe the reveal is poorly done. Conversely, Somnium Files 2 (Nirvana Initiative) had one reveal that invalidates a significant part of the playing experience in a way that's hard to describe without going any further, but I think playing with audience expectations can only go so far until you make the audience feel like you've stolen part of the joy of the playing experience by severing an emotional connection.
I've been trying to describe this all in objective terms, but obviously it is very subjective. It's totally a "I know it when I see it" thing in the end. This section might be pointless. I don't know.
Tumblr media
(There were too many blocks of text so look at Alfred; he's so nice and funny and good. I will give him the pact ring every time I play as M Alear lol.)
Chapter II: What about Fire Emblem Engage?
I guess this is kind of my point. I don't understand how any of this is applicable to it. The plot is fairly simple especially to start. You go from point A to point B with plenty of easy to follow narrative. Characters behave in logical and understandable ways. There's nothing functionally "wrong" with the story.
I think there are some pacing issues with the last stretch of chapters in that things happen too quickly for the player to properly respond even though the concepts are cool*. There's a lot of infodumps in these last chapters too that feel a little misplaced*. I agree that the tea supports (and shared gimmicks in general among certain groups of characters) are a bit overwhelming to unlock in succession. The DLC sucks* and only small parts of it truly add to the main story's narrative. There's the usual Fire Emblem incest and pedophilia grossness trying to peek its head through*. It's not a perfect game by any means.
I think I need to break up overall story discussion and character usage discussion, so I'm going to do that right now. If you've read to this point you generally get my point maybe on why the writing works fine for me and can stop here if you don't want a full peek into the deepest and most illogical recesses of my mind?
If you're not stopping here, together we ride or something idk did the title for this song come from Smash? Whatever.
Chapter III: The Story
***SPOILER WARNING, SKIP TO THE NEXT PART IF YOU WANT TO AVOID SPOILERS***
Alright so I lied when I said I wouldn't go into this fully dissecting the plot or other people's criticisms. I'll do that a little bit here.
The biggest moment of "controversy" I think that happens early on is the loss of Lumera. What I've seen is that many people feel it didn't land well with them due to the game having not built up the relationship all that well. And I intellectually get that perspective. If a story beat doesn't land well to you then I can't tell anyone they're wrong for feeling a particular way about things. But while I understand people may feel this way, I truly do not understand that viewpoint. That we don't know Lumera is kind of the point. Alear also doesn't know her well at that moment. You're supposed to feel like it came too suddenly and is weird for it. The full gravity of the moment is not clear until later on in the game, and I think it was executed very well because the entire game revolves around this specific concept of chosen motherhood and family.
But maybe I'm moving too quickly. Backing up a bit, another criticism of this early game situation is I've seen people say they don't "have reason to care" how Alear is feeling this early on. And like, I truly don't know how to help you with that. When I start a game I generally don't start at 0 waiting for the game to make me care about the main character. I am already on their side and hoping for the best for them? I went in mainly thinking Alear looked goofy but like a nice kid who deserved nice things and the game did build well on it for me.
I think there are some questions on the nature of the emblems and the rings that go somewhat unanswered. There's a lack of clarity on how the rings function, and how stealing the rings after winning a battle works. Given that we see them levitate at numerous times, I suspect that is mostly the answer. But I do understand if that's a point of contention for some since it's not directly clarified.
The emblems are similarly somewhat explained as kind of heroic essence put to form, which genuinely is enough of an answer to me. But I do understand some may find that lacking. There are also many issues with the writing of the emblems which I sympathize with especially as a comic book fan who hates it when my faves are misrepresented in other titles. That's a genuine flaw that could have been corrected by having people working on the script who cared more about accuracy.
The pacing absolutely becomes an issue in the later chapters of the game. The Zephia and Griss death scene is extremely touching and well-written, but to have a scene that long and that complex in that moment of the game is very awkward. It would have been better suited as a Memory Prism type of bonus scene like FE15 had (for several characters there were scenes that added context but did not exactly fit in the main story such as a flashback discussion with Emperor Rudolf). It is necessary to understand the characters, but there's not a truly comfortable place to put it that doesn't seem insane especially given the length. This deeply ties into how I feel about the DLC as well, which is that Good!Zephia/Zelestia gives crucial insight to the effects of positive nurturing and actively choosing to build bonds, which is perhaps the strongest and most important theme of the game. Every instance of chosen family in this game is framed and shown to be a truly critical event for the individuals, as are the instances of chosen neglect. The usage and execution of this theme to me was extremely powerful in execution and just worked without feeling too cringe or forced. It's good stuff. I love love love what they did here, and I say this as a person who has never wanted to be a mother of any sort.
To go on a bit more about this: Griss (and by extension Gregory, but focusing on Griss here for simplicity) and Alear are such strong reflections of one another. There's some obvious aspects like how Griss is visually edgy and Alear is visually bright, Griss is rude and confident while Alear is kind and doubtful, etc. But the strongest comparisons and contrasts between them involve their mothers, and I think it's just incredibly well done. Comparisons include both of them get their sense of fashion from their moms, get their unit classing from their moms, somewhat blindly follow the words of their moms, had terrible upbringings and cling to their moms as their first emotional support, etc. But the contrasts? Oh baby. Zephia adopts Griss because he's a standout while Lumera adopts Alear because they're a failure (by Sombron's measure, not literally). Griss spends years by Zephia's side learning from her while Alear has to mostly guess at what Lumera had planned for them. And perhaps most starkingly: Griss gets to die alongside Zephia while Alear and Lumera are always mourning one another. Griss is such an incredibly well done rival character. It's no wonder he's the one who gets the special cutscene where he reveals the truth to Alear. Forever my GOAT!
Sadly though it's time to switch gears and talk about the DLC: it truly sucks. I said it on twitter after beating it, but I really think that they messed up on anticipating what would be a compelling scenario for the players to play through while also coaxing themselves into a snafu regarding spoilers. There's some good stuff there, but it's almost directly undercut by necessitating that it can be played early in a playthrough before the player has gotten to the revelations about Alear's biological parentage.
The DLC does attempt to carry over the themes of the main game, but without being able to openly acknowledge that these are some of the last of Alear's siblings (even if not by blood exactly) it becomes hollow. The only real payoff on the theming is the Nel and Veyle support chain where even if they aren't sisters in the traditional sense, Veyle is desperate for that kinship as she is so young and has spent so much time alone. It's very touching and something that could have been touched on with Alear as well if only the writers weren't forced to write a detached arc to avoid spoilers.
Yes this is probably where I should get into the alt Alear being the "twin" of the main one. They needed to either go all in with that and have Alear confirmed as sort of a multiversal set of twins or back up off it and confirm that they're only narrative parallels because doing literally all of this and then having Nel have feelings for the other Alear is gross. They did so well avoiding weirdness with Veyle in the main game, and then completely blew it in regards to Nel. It makes no sense you can romantically S support her and invalidates all the themes about family presented to that point if characters who literally share a father and share similar traumas don't find healthy kinship with one another.
But beyond all that, we don't really get to see enough of Nel and "Nil" to be convinced by their dedication to one another especially in comparison to other familial relationships like between the recruitable royals, Four Hounds, and Four Winds. It feels like things are just happening to happen without feeling the gravity of terror that we are told Sombron caused them. Again, the obvious parallel to Alear being forced to fight Veyle purely due to their father's machinations isn't allowed to be explored due to the spoilers thing. Subtlety can be a structurally clever thing, but this doesn't even feel like the DLC writers were aware of that basic fact. This is the only aspect of the whole game that I feel truly misses the mark for me. It feels like a bland copycat of the main game written by someone who only skimmed a wiki article of the main story. I truly really believe they would have been better served making it a proper postgame arc because then maybe the emotional connections could have been fully explored.
I also almost feel as though they'd have been better served writing a story set in the past around red Alear. I understand that would have made it difficult to have playable units from the DLC in the main campaign, but I would have gladly missed out on them if that meant adding to the main universe instead of mostly meaning nothing in the end besides an edgy boy (and I genuinely like Rafal, he's funny) realizing he isn't as edgy as he thought he was.
Back to the main game though. Alear becoming Corrupted and begging their sister to not give up was extremely cool and dangerous and insane in a GOOD way (though again, the cutscenes were somewhat long but long for the sake of the main characters is different than long for side villains). Then you play the actual chapter and nothing truly significant is happening that makes the experience feel noteworthy. I think the design and gameplay are more of a problem with this than the specifics of the writing itself, but both of those generally work to the benefit of storytelling in this game so to have an obviously contradictory moment like that undercuts the drama of the scenario. It's a great idea done in kind of a "just ok" way. Would have been better off omitting that chapter entirely and just jumping to the emblem-izing of Alear immediately. Maybe the writers were just too ambitious with the idea of using the Corrupted for a good reason, and couldn't bear to cut it out? I don't dislike indulgent writing, but I dislike when I can tell the writers are just doing something because they thought it was cool and no one felt like being the one to say "ok this doesn't quite fit".
Another gameplay and storytelling problem is the final boss fight. Bringing back the other final bosses as evil emblems was brilliant, but to not bring them back as recognizable models, not give them their portraits, and not give them their voice lines (and correct me if I'm wrong, but they all have voice actors from their own games or Heroes) made it difficult to identify who was who without looking up their classes online. That really undercut most of the drama in them being used in that battle. I understand this may have all added costs to the game that they maybe didn't want to pay, but that lack of detail made a very cool inclusion feel kind of middling.
And the boss himself? Sombron is actually an interesting dude to me. But again, all his backstory and evil plans probably should have been dumped in a monologue separate from the final battle. I think this is yet another case, similar to the Zephia and Griss scene, that would have worked better as a memory prism than as just a character telling the audience directly in what sort of feels like an inappropriately detailed explanation. I appreciate that they did not force this into being another story centered around multiversal crossovers in a media landscape that is currently overwhelmed by such stories, especially if the "Zero Emblem" hook has no intention of being followed up on. Though arguably that's yet another thing the DLC needlessly complicated. Is there just an infinite number of Sombrons looking for an infinite number of Zero Emblems? Even more proof that the DLC should not have happened as it did.
Last thing worth addressing in detail is the pedophilia that has been sadly very prevalent in the series and arguably emboldened by the introduction of the S support system. Even if one wants to disregard the internal age data, characters like Anna, Jean, and Hortensia should not have been romanceable in any language. I thank the English localization team for scrubbing out most of this and making them as platonic as possible.
Ok I think that's basically everything about the plot I can think of right now to address directly. Solm royals could have gotten more, but whatever. I thought they were fine as the hyper-competent Batman-like country that's like 5 steps ahead of everyone. I don't have any other things to speak about on the main story events.
*** THE SPOILERS ARE DONE, CONTINUE READING HERE ***
Tumblr media
(Your reward for reading all those paragraphs is a nice picture of my daughter Veyle, who is precious and good. I was so worried they would be weird about her and barefeet aside they thankfully were not.)
Chapter IV: The Other Characters
There's a couple of obvious social groups of characters who have largely overlapping gimmicks. Tea time enthusiasts (Celine, Louis, Jean), aesthetic obsessives (Goldmary, Rosado, Hortensia), gym rats (Alfred, Etie, Boucheron sort of). Firene has perhaps the biggest problem of having so many gimmicks done so close together. There is still a lot of depth in those supports still (notably in the A levels after many might have given up, such as Alfred-Etie, Alfred-Celine, Celine-Alear, etc). I don't really have a defense for this, but I do understand why especially early on it would cause people to write off the cast of the game. It didn't bother me much maybe because I benched everyone but Alfred and Louis right away (I needed to keep Clanne and Framme around, they're really funny lol).
But overall I didn't mind any of the characters for their gimmicks besides Seadall (his disordered eating being treated as a joke was just extremely offputting and it was really 50/50 on whether a support might focus on it) and Goldmary (she is just an asshole and to me it wasn't funny, not every joke will land for everyone I suppose).
The cast felt extremely likeable and well-rounded. I will sound like a broken record here, but again they really reminded me of what I enjoyed about the FE8 cast. Just pretty much all likeable and good characters.
Chapter V: Everything Else
Here's like everything else that comes to mind but I don't have enough in my brain to properly write sentences on them and I kind of want to be done with this lmao:
Yes, I think it's a little silly how some characters manage to get away without the game directly stating how. Alear and co are nice and not brutal so you can assume they allowed the escape, but it's still weird at times. Poorly choreographed.
I will never unironically use the term "ludonarrative" (no shade if you do, but it's not me). However the introduction of the Lucina ring bringing back hope to the crew while being a supportive ring for gameplay purposes and all is just really special stuff. It's good. Similarly, the ring you get at the end of chapter 17 is an amazing moment.
I'm not particularly bothered by the rings being former characters. I don't feel they were used poorly or anything. They're wise old heroes helping the new gen, and they serve that purpose well. Only Marth has a bit more to him than that due to his history with Alear, and I think it plays out well without being reliant on prior knowledge. Again very sorry to Eirika fans, I've seen the essays there on the inaccuracies and you're all valid.
The time travel is very clean and properly defined imo. Much more limited than in Three Houses in-universe which is good, however the best explanation for the rewinds will continue to be Mila's Turnwheel (in that there is no time travel, just some premonitions that allow the characters to evade danger).
I love Pandreo and Zelkov so much. Oh my god. They're so funny and just good men. Excellent dudes. Amber, Rosado, YUNAKA. The cast is just lovely. I love them.
Sommie is so cute for real. Just brilliant idea to include a nice pet for your home base. If anything, they should have given it more wigs for the main royals or some of the emblems. Also Sommie is totally the Zero Emblem.
Chapter VI: Conclusion
Let me get TMI here. I do understand that personally I experience and perceive emotions in an unusual way compared to most people. I've not been diagnosed with anything specific to that level of wiring (just OCD and anxiety), and as far as I feel it doesn't seem necessary. But it is what it is, and I am who I am. Maybe all of this is pointless to write and it truly is just a matter of taste and personal emotional expectations. I don't know. I just know I liked the game, and what worked on me really worked. Hope this was fun to read even if it doesn't give any particular insight.
I did not intend to compare any other FEs in this piece mainly because it's not about them. Legit sorry if I inadvertently cause some sort of discourse.

F1 needs to adapt rules before 2026 to close gap between teams Hamilton | 2023 Miami Grand Prix
Lewis Hamilton says he understands why some fans are disappointed by the state of competition in Formula 1 this year and said the series may have to rethink its rules earlier than planned. F1 is in its second season since revised technical regulations were introduced with the goal of improving the quality of racing and bringing the field closer together. However Red Bull are routing the competition at the moment, winning every race so far this year and 14 of the last 15 grands prix. Asked whether he was concerned Red Bull’s dominance would prove a turn-off for the American market Formula 1 is eager to court with its first of three US rounds this weekend, Hamilton said: “It’s not my job to convince people to watch a sport. “I mean, I’m not watching it. It’s not boring for me. I’m challenged every single day trying to get back to the front. So it’s definitely not boring from my perspective. “But, as a racing fan watching, I can understand because it’s not as much competition as they’re perhaps used to with the NFL and the NBA at the moment. That’s not my doing.” F1 “needs to do better, I think, as a sport” said Hamilton. “They have already tried to bring the teams closer but it never seems to work. So all I can say is that we’re working as hard as we can to close up and get back to give them some more excitement.” Hamilton believes F1 did the right thing by overhauling its car design last year, but believes further changes are needed before its next planned overhaul of the rule book in 2026. “I think it’s good that we’re trying new things. I think it’s important that we continue to move forward and evolve. The technology has evolved. “It is just unfortunate we still see the same sort of gaps between teams. I don’t know what the solution is for the future, but I think we’re going to have to continue to adapt these regulations moving forwards otherwise it could be the same as it is now for years, until 2026. If we don’t do a better job, which we’re working on doing.” However Hamilton said he is enjoying the current generation of cars now that Mercedes has addressed the ‘porpoising’ problem they suffered with throughout last season. “I like the cars without the bouncing. They’re a little bit heavy, I wouldn’t say making the cars heavy is a good idea. That’s about it.” Bringing the F1 news from the source RaceFans strives to bring its readers news directly from the key players in Formula 1. KinnPorsche Week 2022-Day 6: Favorite Location
So, my choice for favorite location is the Kittisawat home (pic from @colourme-feral ; link):
Tumblr media
And now in a shocking twist here is my rambling discourse about why this is my favorite location.
So, as mentioned before, I was not raised in a well-to-do household, the reality is that my family was never even considered middle class during my childhood (This is specific to America, so there's probably going to be some differences for non-American readers). But the general idea is that we lived in a nice house, but it was never renovated or updated, it still has the original 1964 teal bathroom even (because it still worked so why would we change it?). But anyway, because of my own life experience, I kind of can't relate to many of the other locations in the show. The safe house and minor family residence get closer, because they're far more personal, and I've been to a bar that has a similar vibe to Yok's, but outside of that there's not much for me to personally connect to. The major family compound is a mix of a residence and a business, decorated/furnished practically, but not with a great deal of personality (outside of Tankhun's room).
Returning to my original point, the Kittisawat home has far more personality than many of the other locations. It's warm, and vaguely shabby, and reflects the life of Porsche and Porchay , at least to me, but y'all know how I like to over analyze. I wasn't sure how I was going to structure this, but I think I'll focus on the main sections of the house we see, and we'll start with the exterior.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
So the house itself is lovely, and clearly would be out of reach as a residence for Porsche and Porchay if it wasn't their family home. The set decoration of the home exterior is simple, with furniture that's practical as well as worn down. Pieces bought many years ago, and just due to their quality are still in good usable condition. I like that they've set multiple seating areas on the exterior, having a dining table outside of the patio door, the concrete table in the yard, and then the swing as well. For night shots, the inclusion of the string lights gives lovely atmosphere while also being something that would be fairly cheap, since the expectation is for us to believe that Porsche and Chay hung them up. From what you see the yard is vaguely unkempt, certainly not left to grow wild, but it gives the impression that it's something Porsche might forget to do until it starts to get a little crazy, because really why would that be at the top of his list.
Moving inside we have the Living Room
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Again we've got nice, fairly basic, and sturdy furniture. The space isn't overly styled, and through the season you see different furniture pieces moved around inside the space, which I find very nice. There is always a concern of continuity from take to take, but I always find it a bit strange if nothing ever moves in a show. As for decor/clutter, there are pieces from their parents, and match what we see during the finale flashback scenes, and some other decor from those scenes is gone in the present. But that gives an amount of believeable continuity to the story of the series. Over the past 10-15 years some stuff would have been packed away, moved to other spaces, broken, possibly sold since we know there's financial stress. Homes that are lived in don't stay the same, so it would be far more odd to see the house still exactly matching the past. One sweet touch you see in the space is a framed photo of Porsche and Porchay, that you actually see Apo and Barcode take in one of the behind the scenes videos (episode 12).
Tumblr media
Next location is the Kitchen:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
A lot of the same themes from the rest of the house repeat here. Simple, good quality, but a slightly outdated feel, and the kitchen is no different. The newest things we see in the house are probably the fridge (and the flat screen tv in the living room), but other than that the whole kitchen looks like it could be 30 years old. It's serviceable, fairly clean, and gives a lived in feel. The set design with the condiments and spices just grouped on the counter next to the stove, the dishes still in the drying rack, they give more of that lived-in homey feel that we don't see a lot in the other residences.
Now on to our last location, Chay's room:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Chay's room is one of the most interesting, but sadly we don't get a whole lot of time there. I love the behind the scenes stuff for the show, but I would love entire eps with the set designer and the costume designer. Like I just love that shit. Back to my point. This is the only personal space we see in their home, everywhere else is communal space. Yes there are personal items, but not to the extent we see in Chay's room. Again, the designer's done a great job fitting the space to the occupant, there's posters hanging, but they're hung with tape, we have the string lights. There's the oddly placed bookshelf in the doorway, which appears weird, there's no where else to put it. It would block the light switch and crowd the bed if you had it on the wall to the right, and it's exactly the type of shit a 17/18 year old would do. I imagine Porsche picked it up wanting to have somewhere for Chay to put his awards and stuff, but wasn't considering whether it would fit in the space, and they just made it work. There's also a nice passage of time-continuity to the space, with some toys, the stack of cds, the sort of layering the bookshelves, that indicate that as things become less used, other things get placed in front of them. This again brings more realism to the space, and makes it feel familiar to the viewer. Like, we don't have the stories behind each item, but the characters are presented in a way where we could guess. Additionally with the layering, on the WiK wall we see pictures layered over each other, which for me really sells it. Technically we know that the set designer and dresser would have been handed a bunch of these pictures to put up, and our instinct would be to put them up in a more ordered manner, but they're meant to have been added over a couple of years. Chay would have gotten them from magazines, or printed them out and stuck them up kind of wherever they fit. I also love that there's not just WiK, but other music-based pictures and art.
My closing statements---the lighting and cinematography!
I've talked in previous posts about how beautiful the cinematography of the series is, and it's truly gorgeous. In relation to the Kittisawat home, it's always presented in a warm golden light. Every other location we visit more than once is colorgraded differently based on the emotion of the scene. But even in the flashback scenes of the death of Porsche and Chay's father, when told from each perspective, that warm golden tone is still there. By choosing to light the space the way they have they're adding onto that feeling of homey-ness and comfort. They've built this space where essentially everyone who steps into feels that warm comfort, and they've made it look incredibly simple, but I am CERTAIN that it was a lot of work. Especially for a space where they spend relatively little time over the course of the season.
Anyway, I hope you enjoyed my thoughts about this topic. 1,300 words and about 3 hours worth of screen-capping and writing. Definitely worth it. Hmm....what should your reward gif be today??? How about...

The Winchesters: Season 1 Episode 1
I don't know if any one else prepared themselves for the pilot like I did (probably so) by watching all the important John and Mary lore centric episodes. I'm glad I did though, because it gave me a nice refresher on important elements of each of their pasts. Not to say I didn't already know their story (I've watched every episode, minus 15×20, at least 4 times so...) but it was like having a good cram session before a test. That being said I have a few thoughts on the pilot that I wanted to write down. Mostly for me to go back on in the future to see how my opinions may have changed. Anyway, SPOILERS AHEAD
CHARACTERS
ADA
Starting off with Ada because the least is known about her, but I like her so far. Strong, mysterious, smart, has worked with MOL before, owns a rare bookshop (which, let's be real here, for a black woman in the early 70s is impressive as hell). Vey much looking forward to seeing more of her.
MILLIE ( Momma Winchester)
Definitely giving Ellen Harvelle vibes. Strong, Independent but bitter. I sympathize with her, of course. She thought her husband ran off on her then her son goes off and lies about his age to join the military, not knowing for 2 years if he would come back alive. I'd be bitter too. But between her and Henry, it's easy to see secret keeping and lying to "protect loved ones" is definitely a Winchester genetic curse. Honestly I'm nervous to see what is going to happen to her, considering she's almmost never (if ever) mentioned in SPN.
LATIKA
I like her. She's vey sweet, if not a bit naive. We know that Samuel saved her life somehow which is how she got involved in everything and that she's known Mary for over a year but inexperienced in actual hunting. She's a pacifist and easily frightened, which doesn't bode well for her hunting career, but very eager to get out onto the field. Of all the characters so far though, she's to one I'm most concerned about. Her devotion to Samuel, coupled with her naivety and pacifism is a combo that could easily get her killed. I hope I'm wrong, but this is the SPNverse so...
CARLOS
Love him. He definitely felt like the most in-place character for the time setting. And being openly bisexual in the 1970s? Legendary. He's very aloof, obviously a player, hippie "free love" vibes. He got into hunting after his family was slaughtered by a gouhl. Something happened between him and Mary ( macking on her ex and bailing on a hunt of some kind) but he apparently carries a torch for her. I like that he has a takes charge vibe and obviously believes in a "hands-on learning" approach when it comes to hunting. He seems to have a lot of faith in people's abilities to suprise themselves. My only concern is that his additude is going to get someone killed. I also feel like there is going to be some tension bettween him and John regarding Mary in the future.
* note: This is about the character. When regarding Carlo's actor, they are nonbinary and use They/Them pronouns*
MARY
She's vey much Mary Winchester. Some people might not agree, but I think most people are looking at Mary the mother, Mary the wife, not Mary the young daughter of a hunter. Mary the young girl who wanted nothing to do with hunting but had no choice. Mary the young girl who is still in mourning over the death of her cousin, a death she blames heself for. Pre John, Pre Sam and Dean, Pre Azazel Mary. We're seeing a Mary who isn't responsible for anybody but the people she saves. A Free Mary if you will. But still her. She's a badass fighter, which she always has been. She has a caring quality to her but is still standoffish in a way. She would rather walk away from human confrontation than talk it out (Same ole Mary) and she definitely acts before she thinks. Now, I've had a multitude of mixed feelings on Mary ever since season 12 of SPN, mostly veering towards frustration. She's not a simple character, she never has been. She has layers and not every layer is all that likeable. But one thing about Mary that I do respect is consistency. Did she try to be a good mom, a good wife? Yes. Did she always succeed? Hell no. She has always had a layer of defiance and selfishness hidden under whatever mask she was wearing at the time, even when it came at the expense of others. But she also has always had a need to protect. I'm not going into how I felt about her abandoning S&D in SPN because that's an essay in and of itself, but overall I can say I definitely feel like they got Mary's characterization right in TW. Hopefully they'll grow with that.
John Winchester
*deep aggravated sigh* John motherf*king Winchester. The hardest thing we are all going to have to accept about this series is that this is pre Azazel John and therefore, not the ruthless SOB that we love to hate. Truth is, when we first met the Wichester parents in season 4 of SPN Mary described John as sweet, kind, and someone, who despite everything, still believed in a happily everafter, everything a hunter isn't. That is the John we are going to be seeing. Now, I am , in no way, trying to be a John apologist. I personally think he should have stayed in hell after what he did to his children. I will make no excuses for the man he became. However, this is him before he became that man. That being said, I'm still not sure I like him. He's obviously suffering from severe PTSD after watching his friend get blown up and needs to talk about it. Not just say this is what happened, but actually sit down with someone and talk about it. I realize it's the 70s and therapy wasn't as readily available as it is today (which casued a multitude of problems irl after 'nam with messed up soldiers but I digress) but jesus christ Winchester, get some therapy. Because of this he has an obvious death wish. Right off the bat he puts himself in danger without any knowledge of how to handle what he is facing. He also has a "White Knight" complex that I cannot stand (and again have seen in real life soldiers fresh out of combat so bravo for accuracy there). He is very cocky, and sure of himself, which is going to put someone in danger. He's flirtatious (we all saw the Latika scene) and while not neccesarily a bad trait, it will most likely cause a distraction that isn't needed in a time where focus is necessary. I definitely see traces of the John we know. Looks like he always had trouble of letting go of the past at the expense of others, very on brand. I can definitely see where Dean was coming from when he said Sam was just like their father. It's interesting for sure and I'm reluctant to say this but, I'm ready to learn more about him.
STORY
It's alot. Like a lot. It feels like they did their damndest to pack as much exposition in as possible which made for and extremely fast pace3 pilot. There wasn't a whole bunch of down time in the episode to reflect on things which can be a good thing, midseason, but was a little wonky for the pilot. We got introduced to a few new characters as well as reintroduced to some old ones with some glimpses of backstory and it honestly could have been split into two parts to ease the pacing but overall I'm intrigued.
Some key points:
John's PTSD is definitely going to bite them in the ass, though it was interesting to see he always had a willingness to bleed for mary when he cut his friend's cross out of his arm.
Samuel leaving Mary and Deanna alone to go off on a hunt seemed off. I realize it was used as a plot device to tie in with SPN but it felt...hmmm....I'm just not sure I like what certain fans will do with the " finding Mary's dad narrative. Iykyk.
The man who handed John his dad's letter and dissapeared was 100% an Angel. You can't change my mind
Driving to 3 different states in the first episode was a lot but apparently this group is used to it, John however seemed so willing to leave home and travel with them, which made me feel sorry for Millie.
They have a monster box and a lot of info on how to use it due to the library and the MOL club house, which was cool and I want to know more about this stuff but everything was so sped up I couldn't get a grasp on everything they were doing and saying. I'm sure it will be explored more.
While it isn't the first time we've seen that the MOL have used monsters/creatures as guard dogs for their things, I almost wish it would have been a previously known monster. I actually have a lot of complaints about the loup-garou but that's neither here nor there.
I hope to see more of Carlos and Mary's beef regarding that hunt and they don't leave it slightly vague like they did with Bobby and Rufus. I also want to know more about how Samuel saved Latika.
The Akrida. Are we talking Aliens, dimentional creatures, or underworld here? I have a feeling they are going to be a key plot point in why John seems oblivous to everything once we meet him. I'm definitely intrigued, if not a bit apprehensive, but we'll see.
I, personally, enjoyed the little details about John and Mary's first meeting they put in there. Slaugher house 5. Cup of coffe. All that good Jazz, it was nice. I'm still bothered by Zachariah saying they hated each other at first and forever bothered by the random patron of the diner from In The Beginning telling John to say hi to his old man for him, when Henry dissapeared when John was a child, but it's still the pilot so, there's time.
DEAN😭😭😭😭😭
I'm not going to sit here and predt3end I didn't tear up hearing his voice. I'm sure as hell not gonna pretend I didn't cry actually seeing him on my screen again. I was born into this fandom a Dean girl and since nothing in the SPNverse never truly dies, it looks like a Dean girl I shall remain (with occasional Castrash moments obviously).
PRODUCTION
Glorious. The shots in Louisiana were beautiful, I enjoy the music accompaniment and that it isn't so loud that it overtakes the dialogue *coughcough* but gives the scenes a nice ambiance. Hearing Dean's song over John's dialogue made me feel a type of way but I'll let it slide. The lightning is very bright and Campy but that's just how most everything is shot now. And it wasn't terrible. Literally my only complaint from a production stand point is some things about Mary's costume (she looked more like Claire Novak's twin sister that Mary Winchester. We need the Farrah Faucet hair) and the damn loup-garou. It looked like and ROUS from the Princess Bride. There is no known lore on it other than how to kill it. I get that it's a pilot and budget sacrifices have to be made somewhere but it was just...ugh. literally my only real complaint. I could deal with every minor detail that didn't fit my expectations because this is the pilot and really, who am I to be picky, this show wasn't made SPECIFICALLY for me and me alone, but that damn loup-garou was not it. Overall production, not just "for a pilot", but as a whole, was stunning when you consider that Jensen and Danneel have NEVER done this before. Bravo.
ACTING
I've already seen people commenting about the acting in the tags and some of it hasn't been terribly kind. I saw someone liken it to disney acting. Which, IDK couldn't have anything to do with the fact that Meg was a Disney channel actor, could it? Give them a break guys. They did a good job. Acting isn't easy and I, spending the majority of my childhood and teen years being a stage actor, saw no glaring issues. I was very impressed with the acting for a pilot. Let's face facts here guys its not like the SPN actors were ALWAYS on the ball either. Jensen was a soap opera star ffs! This is their first episode together. You gotta give them a chance to get to know each other. Damn, it's not like they stared into the camera or broke character or gave middle school play vibes. I'd be more concerned about their acting skills if they had been doing this for umpteen seasons and were internationally known super stars, but they did better than A LOT of CW actors on tv today. They did good. I'd like to see some of you go out there and do better. It's a pilot not a finale.
Final thoughts
Overall, I really enjoyed it, and not just for it being part of the SPNverse. I honestly think i I would probably watch it as a stand alone for it's subject matter and genre. I think Jensen and Danneel did a wonderful job. I'm looking forward to putting my bias against John aside and actually learning more about the Winchesters' past. Definite 7.8/ 10 for a stand alone pilot (-0.2 for the pacing and - 2 for the damn loup-garou) and a solid 8/10 for something from the SPNverse.
Will we learn more about the The Akrida and their plan to destroy existence as we know it?
Will we get more backstory on our new characters?
Will anyone ever explain why the random patron told John to say hi to his old man for him when Henry had been missing for years?!?!?!?
Tune in next week for: Kage rants about The Winchesters To Almost Nobody But Themselves, to find out.

I’m an ENFJ 2w1 so/sx and I have a lot of difficulty understanding and properly appreciating my brother, an ISTJ 6w5 sp/so...
Well. First I am going to say that one of the strengths of high Ni is finding a different vantage point from which to survey a situation and re-interpret it in a different, unusual way. Meaning that you need to go inside yourself and consider your brother from a different, larger viewpoint than just "he offends people." Think about him in a broader context, think about the psychology behind this (I assume you have read a lot about 6s? if not, please do so, it will be helpful in understanding how fear is motivating him, and that will give you an even deeper understanding of his psyche), and then think about how you could reach him by catering your Fe to what he would respond best to. How can you use what you know about being a 6 to reach him? (Let's say that a 6 wants to be liked, because it's true -- they are attachment types. What would be the benefit to him of being liked, by him actively working toward softening some of his own edges? Would he be more successful in his career, for example? A strong Te user responds to facts and logical thinking -- cause and effect. You do this, that results. For a 6, you do this, you alienate people who might not like you anymore and could hurt you -- so the goal becomes, how do I find allies? How can you help your brother be someone who attracts allies and friends?)
Another thing... how old is he? If he's 12 or 15, this is not a huge deal; if he's 30 and still alienating people, it's a problem. Age matters. Being a teenager who is trying to figure out who he is and what he thinks and where his place is in the world... matters. If he's under 20 years old, cut him some slack. He's immature. What you described to me are "young" 6 behaviors and as he gets out into the world, gains more experience, deals with more people, they will fade a bit. The less experienced in real life a 6 is, the more rigid their views -- because they can cling to them in the comfort of their own home.
Okay, on to the rest of your ask...
He attaches to people and ideologies to keep himself safe and make sense of the world and I get that. But, by constantly choosing this over this etc, he alienates other people and offends them which as an Fe-dom is just no. He often seems to have no idea about the emotions and opinions of others and is self-centred, constantly talking about what he likes and he’s doing.
Really, this is butting up against your need, as an EFJ, to have everyone on the same page and maintain harmony between them, which is understandable. But TJs do not think that way, as you know from living with him (ha, ha). Something to remember, then, is that... his actions don't reflect on you and won't change how people feel about you, if that is partly your concern. People will evaluate him independently from you and not lump you together. Second, you can't expect him to understand the emotions of others -- this is beyond his understanding. ITJs are incapable of that. Does it offend higher Fe types? Yes. Can it change? No, it can't. You need to find a way to accept this, and not expect it from him, which means being more able to just shake your head when something happens, remind yourself that "this is just who he is," and deal with the fallout.
When something goes slightly wrong, it’s like his whole world explodes and everything is ending right this second and he either starts yelling or sulking or blaming other people for something that is his fault.
You may want to read the book I am reading, which is the 7 Habits of Highly Effective People. In it, the author talks a lot about putting power back in people's hands through your choice of language (I think the author is an EFJ 2w1 as well; he might even be ENFJ due to his focus on language/words/communication techniques). He says that most people excuse personal responsibility by insisting it was not their fault, but that you can put power back into their hands by reaffirming that the choices they made led them here. Are they CHOOSING to get upset right now? Angry? To blame others?
Something about blame is that the 6 being an ego type, wants to be a good person in a similar way that the 1 gets credit for being (the difference is the 1 doesn't want to be good, so much as RIGHT). 6s also want to be RIGHT. Blame means I did something wrong, which attacks their ego structure--their line to 3 rebels at being seen in a negative light, and they want to avoid the consequences of having something be "my fault," so that' why they point fingers elsewhere. It takes a lot of self-work for a 6 to be able to admit when they were wrong without fearing the consequences (punishment). But as I said, the more immature the 6, the more this happens; the more mature the 6, the less this happens. It can be grown out of, but the 6 has to be aware that this is a problem with them and something that needs fixed (which a lot of 6s will want to do, because they are super-ego types who don't want to do the wrong thing). So... maybe introduce him to the Enneagram. Find a good book about it and give it to him, something like Russ Hudson or Richard Rohor. See what happens.
He constantly measures himself against the normal and “shoulds” endlessly, ending up despairing and frustrating himself and everyone else. It’s just so stressful.
I realize this is going to be incredibly hard for you to hear, as an EFJ 2, but... you can't fix him, you can't change him, and his struggles are none of your business if he won't listen to you. You cannot control how other people think, feel, or behave, all you can control is how you respond to them. If you see a technique that might help him, point it out to him, but don't lecture or mother him. Younger siblings hate being parented by older ones. Come at it from a "friend" perspective, and not a "sub-parent" perspective.
I think he’s amazing overall and some of these negatives are also very positive. I just don’t know how to keep everyone happy without “shoulding” at him. He deserves to be and express himself but so does everyone else and when he’s being him, that can’t happen without an explosion. I don’t know if this is personality related really. I was just wondering if you could give me some tips on how to deal with 6’s need for security at all costs (as opposed to my 2 need to be needed) and Fi vs Fe. Thank you so so so much for all you do! I love reading through your blog and your thoughtful, kind responses :)
Turn your Ni to thinking about -- how can I make him feel 'safe and supported' in this environment and pursue that for a while. Instead of seeing him as a problem or something to fix, look beyond that to his true needs, his 6 wounds of feeling unsure and unsupported, and see what happens.

50 Things About: Bibiana Dobrovolny
Right, so literally nobody asked for this, but after seeing this post, I decided to write down my own answers for these questions using my OCs, starting with Bibiana.
Special thanks to my IRL best friend, who first came up with the idea of Arnold’s lovely neighbor.
NOTE: Anything marked with a “*” is a piece of information originally devised by my best friend. Bibiana is a collaborative character. She would not exist if not for her.
1. What is their name, and how does this fit their character?
Bibiana.* It’s a Spanish first name that means “lively”, and Bibiana certainly is that. When she was a kid, she would often shift/rock in her seat when forced to sit down, pace/run around the room if given the chance to leave from her chair, and never seemed to stop talking. There were a fair share of concerns from family members, teachers, and neighbors regarding her “overly energetic” behavior, but her parents never paid them any mind. Sure, this made her a bit of a handful, but to her parents (Oskar and Aurora), this was just how she was, and they would not have their sweet, smiley baby girl any other way. She has since eased back a little, but many of her habits (getting up and pacing every few to several minutes to word out any new ideas she gets, talking on and on about the things she loves for several minutes at a time, etc.) still remain to this day.
2. Last name?
Dobrovolny.*
3. Do they have a middle name?
Joyce.
4. Name a song that describes them.
“You Were Meant For Me” by Jewel. It’s a song about a woman who recently moved into a new place and is desperately trying to get over her ex, which doesn’t exactly fit Bibiana’s situation all the way, as she never had a serious romantic partner once in her life. But with a change of perspective, it could also be about a woman who’s new in town, a little afraid about what the future holds, and a little too deeply in love with the man next door. She likes her new house, but feels out of place, misses her old home, and is secretly hoping with time that Arnold will see she’s the one for him - even if it is just wishful thinking. And that’s how I like it.
5. What are their pronouns?
She/her.
6. Gender and sexuality?
Cisgender woman, asexual.*
7. Do they like someone romantically?
Yes - her next-door neighbor, Arnold.
8. List five words to describe them.
Encouraging, knowledgeable, musical, considerate, and attentive.
9. What about five dialogue tags to use consistently on this character?
Hummed, chirped, trailed off, complimented, reassured.
10. What is their motivation?
To become successful working remotely as a freelance sound designer* and indie songwriter.
11. Do they consider themselves a good person?
She would certainly like to think so.
12. Color that describes their personality.
Yellow. Joyful, optimistic, and intellectual in the eyes of some, but also impatient, impulsive, and irrational in the eyes of others.
13. MBTI type.
ENFP/The Campaigner.
14. Enneagram type.
Type 2/The Helper.
15. Character they’re based on.
No character in particular inspired Bibiana, as far as I know, since my IRL best friend came up with her basic foundation. For the most part, she’s just kind of her own thing. There is a part of my IRL best friend in her, though.
16. Person they would bring down whilst dying.
Arnold’s boss, Mr. Hirschfeld.
17. Person they would kill if they had the chance.
Again, Mr. Hirschfeld. She’s not one for murder at ALL, but if she were, she’d totally go after him. The guy puts too much stress on Arnold, and she just cannot stand seeing the man she cares about most in the whole town get constantly criticized and pushed around.
18. Character they would get along with if they were in the same universe.
Bill from “Treasure Pier Adventures”. She and Bill could probably spend HOURS gushing over their unaware crushes, and talking about how amazing all the things they learned about the world is. Bibiana certainly believes that for a talking pelican, Bill has a lot of human-like qualities to admire, especially his love of learning. It’s no wonder he was her favorite character on the show.
19. Character they would hate if they were in the same universe.
Grace Lacey from “Hometown”. As a woman who grew up in a warm, supporting family, there is no doubt in my mind that she would absolutely LOATHE Grace. She wouldn’t blame Elizabeth in the slightest for all the times she yelled at her aunt - she’d honestly do the same if her mental illness and sexuality were constantly being invalidated.
20. Artist they would listen to.
Piero Piccioni. Perfect for shaking off songwriter's block - or for daydreaming about a certain someone.
21. Artist they would hate.
Pretty much any artist who happens to be a terrible person (Bing Crosby, Chris Brown, R. Kelly, etc.). In Bibiana’s mind, art and artist go hand-in-hand. There is no separation for her. Listening to someone’s music isn’t worth her time if the musician behind it doesn’t have a good heart.
22. Give them a theme song.
“You Learn” by Alanis Morissette. Bibiana may be running around giving all she can to those she wants to help, whether it be by writing a song for them, editing their audio tracks, or even running an errand or two. At the end of the day, though, she’s a new homeowner in a new town, starting a new dream job, dealing with new clients every other day, and getting to know a new neighbor who also happens to be her new friend. She’s here to learn. And learning doesn’t come without at least a few slip-ups. It’s a wild new world out there, and she’s got a lot of learning to do. She lives? She learns. She cries? She learns. She bleeds? She learns. You get the point.
23. Make them a playlist!
Maybe later. I don’t have the energy or patience for that right now, LOL.
24. Make them a mood board.
Done.
25. Assign them an aesthetic.
Tousled hair tied back, calloused palms, glasses that fog over with excitement, acoustic guitar covered in stickers, song ideas buzzing in her mind at 3 A.M., sheet music spread all over the floor, living in the moment, yellow plaid, well-worn sneakers, humming the same line of notes over and over looking for the right pitch, falling in love too easily, mind and mouth going 100 mph.
26. What are their strengths?
Musically inclined, excellent hand-eye coordination, curious about the world around her, perceptive of others’ emotions, enthusiastic about the things she loves (namely video games and music*), and good-natured almost to a fault.
27. What about fatal weaknesses?
Frequently disorganized, gets unfocused far too easily, often leans into people-pleasing territory when someone shows signs of disliking her, overly naive, and deeply perfectionistic.
28. The one person who can convince them to do something they’re stubbornly against.
Arnold.
29. Who would they kill for?
Nobody. Not even for Arnold. To her, nobody is really worth killing for, even if it could lead to the best change in her life.
30. What tropes do they fall into?
I’m not quite sure what this question means by “tropes”, but if we’re talking common character tropes, I guess a combination of the “girl next door”, the “smart girl” and the “geek/nerd”.
31. Fatal weakness (food edition).
Anything that goes good with sour cream, especially tacos and gyros. She just loves sour cream.*
32. Book they would definitely read.
“77 Prague Legends” by Alena Ježková. Czech legends are one of her favorite topics to read about*, most likely as a result of all the scary stories her father told her growing up.
33. Language besides their mother tongue they would (have) learned.
She’s the daughter of a Czech immigrant father and a Spanish immigrant mother,* so likely Czech and/or European Spanish.
34. Murder accomplice.
Nobody. Like I said before, she is not one for murder. She’d like to keep herself as far away from being behind bars as possible.
35. Thing that makes them go weak at the knees.
Arnold. Seeing a pattern here?
36. Most obscure thing they HATE.
People who constantly go on and on about how the first four seasons of “Tresure Pier Adventures” are the only good seasons that exist while nitpicking literally everything about the show after that point. “The show totally still has interesting things to teach!” she would say. “Just because the show has a new animation style now doesn’t mean it’s any less worth watching! God, why are people like this?”
37. While we’re there, biggest phobia.
Atychiphobia - the fear of failure.
38. Are they (would they be) a book or movie person?
She has a great love for both, but if she had to pick one, she’d go with movies. Movie nights with friends was one of her absolute FAVORITE pastimes, and horror, fantasy, and animation are her favorite genres.* She’s hoping to share at least a couple of those with Arnold one day. God knows the man could use a night off or two.
39. Are they a romantic?
If any of the previous answers regarding Arnold were any indicator, then it should be clear that yes, she is indeed a romantic.
40. Childhood experience that defines an aspect of their life.
Laying atop her grandfather’s grand piano and listening to him play and sing for her. She always thought he had an amazing voice, and if his best-selling records and CDs had anything to say, she was far from being the only one to think that. It was from those times with him that her love of music and her aspirations of being talented in music sprouted from. She started playing piano at 6, guitar at 12, and singing at 13. She’s not Gunhild Carling, but she’s certainly trying her best.
41. What is their age?
27 at the start of the story.*
42. Birth sign? / Zodiac?
Pisces.
43. What constellation would they be?
Columba/The Dove. Like how Columba represents the dove who informed Noah that the great biblical flood was receding, Bibiana in a way represents a great positive change for the reclusive Arnold. Neither of them really know this, though.
44. Name a famous myth where they would have been the main character.
Jason and Medea, only without the cheating husband and vengeful murderous rampage, LOL. She certainly would feel like she fell as fast for Arnold as Medea did for Jason. She wouldn’t go as far as to demand Arnold to marry her in exchange for helping him with some great task, though. That’s just way too far.
45. Old or new soul?
New soul for sure. Always thinks there’s more to life, seemingly always changing interests (though she has at least a few that are stable no matter what), talkative, eager/ambitious about her future success/happiness, creative/inventive at times, impulsive, enthusiastic - you get the point.
46. Assign them a smell.
Freshly laundered cotton and black cherry lotion.
47. Assign them a smell they like.
Honeysuckle, along with most other floral scents.*
48. Can they swim?
Yes. She used to swim for hours and hours in her grandmother's swimming pool during the blazing summers of her childhood. She's secretly hoping to get a chance to swim with Arnold in his backyard pool someday.
49. Street smarts or brain smarts?
Brain smarts. She and Arnold may be smart in different subjects, but she’s still a nerd through and through~
50. What is this character’s purpose to the plot?
To find a place for herself as a newcomer to Brightonburg, and to provide Arnold - a reserved no-nonsense solitudinarian - some much-needed friendly companionship.

VOCALOID LEGENDS - 2012 Part 3
#106 - Tale of Six Trillion Years and One Night (kemu) [IA]
Achievement Date: 12-07-01, Upload Date: 12-04-11
One of the Mythical Songs, and a bit faster IA song. Probably the happiest IA song, about an immortal girl and boy who saves… hey, that’s like the last IA song! I think IA is getting a little boxed in here? Well, let’s wait a few years. The chorus is actually replaceable with Invisible, which is amazing considering how different the song feels acoustically, but in terms of melody and fit, absolutely the same. Wild.
#107 - Headphone Actor (Jin) [IA]
Achievement Date: 12-07-02, Upload Date: 11-12-15
About someone who hears a message to save the world, kinda, and does not, kind of. The song comes at a very odd time in the series, and sometimes thrown away entirely. Well, Kagerou Project is not the most well-thought of projects, but whatever. Jin’s IA, at least in the beginning, is too soft. It worked for Imagination Delusion Fantasy Forest, but here I really wish IA was a bit stronger. And yes IA can go hard… wait a couple years.
#108 - Konoha’s State of the World (Jin) [Hatsune Miku, IA]
Achievement Date: 12-07-27, Upload Date: 12-03-30
Apparently the centerpiece of Kagerou Project, as it concerns an android girl that is overwatching the various odd projects that we just listened to earlier. The combination of the previous two songs is quite impressive, and it feels like the project is actually taking place, and one might start to find investment in the whole thing.
#109 - This is the Happiness and Peace of Mind Committee. (Utata-P) [Hatsune Miku]
Achievement Date: 12-07-31, Upload Date: 12-06-15
Now for something truly creepy. First of Utata-P’s songs. We have this nice guitar background, but the synth bass instantly betrays those notions, you know something is going to drop, and when it finally drops, it is as satisfying as it would be. The chorus is addictive and effective, and when we return to the bridge, the emotion hits harder and you know the following drop will be even harder. A good intro to his work.
#110 - A Momentary Trip (Last Note.) [GUMI]
Achievement Date: 12-08-12, Upload Date: 12-05-03
Another slow open to an incredibly fast chorus, but this time interpreted in the complete opposite direction. The punny lyrics add the step to a song about escapism. Both above and this song are kind of staples in rhythm and you can see why. Again, another instant classic and one of the most famous GUMI songs, and you can hear why, I hope. Oh, don’t forget the amazing guitar solo from one of the best players in Japan.
#111 - Aitai (Dios) [GUMI]
Achievement Date: 12-08-18, Upload Date: 10-08-11
Very different from the overly dramatic Cendrillon, although it’s also about a love that doesn’t quite work. Feels closer to 40mP than KuroUsa-P, although there is a bit of that dramatism in the chorus. It doesn’t distract from the overall feel at all.
#112 - Children Record (Jin) [IA]
Achievement Date: 12-08-18, Upload Date: 12-07-21
Opening theme to the Kagerou Project, a lot of sly mention to other songs on the series. Apparently the place the song takes is during the infiltration of the Big Bad. And so the song has this swingy breezy nature, even though the bass keeps the song grounded. Honestly the only weak spot is that Jin’s IA is too quiet, although IA showcases her high notes that would be used more famously by different producers later on.
#113 - Kisaragi Attention (Jin) [IA]
Achievement Date: 12-08-22, Upload Date: 12-05-27
Look, an idol with a recluse brother who brings her into some spy organization is overly specific yet pretty much a typical character in anime, and we should feel too impressed with Jin’s imagination. The lyrics are cute though. And IA playing a shy idol is not of her strength, Jin. A powerful, no-nonsense idol, absolutely… not Momo though.
#114 - Love Soldier (Last Note.) [GUMI]
Achievement Date: 12-09-11, Upload Date: 12-01-20
We have a very straight rock song, we haven’t had that in a somewhat while. It’s like we have distilled the rock part of Setsuna Trip and given it to another GUMI who chases after these momentary fantasies, this time getting rejected over and over again. Something that I can painfully relate to.
#115 - Remote Control (Wonderful Opportunity) [Kagamine Rin, Len]
Achievement Date: 12-09-21 Upload Date: 11-02-16
And we return to Rin & Len after a long GUMI/IA detour. And we get another sibling duo Wonderful Opportunity entering this list. As always we have a fun idea about two androids showcasing themselves, although there’s a novelization of the song!

Home Remedies for Hair Dye Allergy: Natural Solutions for Healthy Hair
An allergy to hair dye can be very painful, causing redness, itching, and irritation of the skin and scalp. But do not worry because you do not have to give up coloring your hair entirely. With a few simple, all-natural home remedies for hair dye allergy, you can enjoy gorgeous, colorful hair without concern about allergies and relieve the irritation.
Let's look at a few simple home remedies for allergic reaction to hair dye,
Tumblr media
Home Remedies for Hair Dye Allergy
1. Cold Compress
If you experience redness and itching after hair dye for those with allergies start with a cold compress. It helps in reducing inflammation and soothes irritated skin. Just lay some cloth-wrapped ice cubes over the affected area and let them remain there for a short while.
2. Aloe Vera Gel
Aloe vera is a great natural remedy for hair dye allergy and skin irritation. Apply aloe vera gel directly to the affected area of your scalp. It will minimize the flushing and irritation that the hair dye causes.
3. Coconut Oil
One well-known dye allergy home remedy, the benefit of coconut oil is that it is moisturizing. To relieve dryness and itching on your scalp, gently massage warm coconut oil into it. After using a light shampoo to rinse it off, let it sit for a minimum of half an hour.
4. Baking Soda Paste
Apply a paste made from a small amount of baking soda and water to the infected area. Baking soda has antibacterial and anti-itching properties. Use water to rinse it off after about 15 minutes.
5. Oatmeal Bath
If your allergic reaction is more widespread, you might want to think about having an oatmeal bath. Dip a cup of freshly ground oatmeal into your bath, and then let it soak for 20 to 30 minutes. This can calm your skin and lessen itching.
6. Apple Cider Vinegar Rinse
Because of its anti-inflammatory qualities, apple cider vinegar may be beneficial for irritated scalps. After shampooing your hair, use a final rinse made of one part apple cider vinegar to two parts water. Make sure you give it a good rinse for this home remedies for hair dye allergy.
7. Calendula Cream
Being a natural anti-inflammatory, calendula cream can help ease the pain linked to allergies to hair dye. As needed, apply a tiny amount to the suffering area.
Tumblr media
8. Avoid Future Allergies
Use hypoallergenic hair dyes or conduct a patch test before adding any new color to your hair to avoid future color allergies. This may help you in preparing for possible allergic reactions.
9. Stay Hydrated
Water consumption is necessary for keeping the skin and scalp healthy. Maintaining hydration may speed up the healing process of any allergic reactions on your skin.

10. Avoid Scratching
While using a hair color allergy home remedy, try not to scratch the affected area, even though it may be highly tempting to do so because doing so could make the irritation worse and even cause an infection. Use an over-the-counter anti-itch cream containing hydrocortisone if the itching is really bad.
11. Consult a Dermatologist
You must get professional medical help if your symptoms of hair dye allergy worsen or persist. A dermatologist can offer an improved diagnosis as well as suggest suitable therapies or medicinal products.
12. Choose Safer Hair Dye Options
Consider switching to hypoallergenic or natural hair dye brands, which are less likely to cause allergies, if you frequently suffer from allergic reactions to hair color. For recommendations, speak with a dermatologist or hair care specialist.
13. Patch Test for Allergies
Conducting a patch test must be done before utilizing any novel hair coloring product. Apply a tiny bit of the dye to a separate spot on your body, such as the back of your ear or the inside of your elbow.
After leaving it on for 24 to 48 hours, keep an eye out for any swelling, redness, or itching that could indicate an allergic reaction. Do not use that specific hair color during this period if you encounter any negative reactions.
Tumblr media
14. Choose for Semi-Permanent Dyes
Semi-permanent hair dyes are a better option for people who are allergic to permanent hair dyes because they usually contain less harsh chemicals.
You can change the color of your hair without having to worry about serious allergies due to these dyes, which fade gradually over time and are less likely to cause negative reactions.
15. Natural Alternatives
Think about applying henna or herbal hair color as natural substitutes for chemical hair dyes. Because they are free of many of the chemicals found in store-bought dyes, these alternatives are less likely to trigger allergic reactions.
A patch test must still be done before use; yet, a few people may also be allergic to natural ingredients of home remedy for henna allergy.
16. Ask Professional Advice
See a dermatologist or professional hair colorist if you are not sure which hair dye products are safe for you or if you have had severe allergies in the past. To guarantee your safety, they may carry out a patch test in a controlled setting and suggest the best dye options or allergy-free hair dye for your particular requirements.

Antihistamine for hair dye allergy
Antihistamines can help reduce symptoms like itching, redness, and swelling if you have an allergic reaction to hair dye. Histamines are substances released during an allergic reaction, and antihistamines function by preventing them from doing so.
Antihistamines can help with mild reactions, but it is necessary to speak with a doctor to manage hair dye allergies properly and to make sure the antihistamine of choice is safe and effective.
How long does allergic reaction to hair dye last?
Depending on the seriousness of the reaction, an allergic reaction to hair dye can last a range of time in different people. Mild allergic reactions, like redness or itching, usually remain for a few days to a week following the application of hair dye.
These minor symptoms might occasionally go away on their own without the need for any special care as well along with home remedies for hair dye allergy.
More serious allergic reactions, on the other hand, can last longer and be considered for medical attention.
These reactions can include hives, swelling, blisters, or difficulty breathing. In these situations, the symptoms may last for a few days or weeks, making it important to get medical attention right away.
As directed by a medical professional, you can use topical creams or over-the-counter antihistamines to reduce the extent and lengthen the duration of an allergic reaction to hair dye.
If you suffer from a severe allergic reaction, you should get medical attention as soon as possible. Prescription medicine such as corticosteroids or epinephrine may be necessary for treatment.
Never forget that, to reduce the possibility of allergic reactions, a small area test must be done before using any hair coloring product.
To lessen the possibility of further allergic reactions, if you have a history of hair dye allergies, think about using hypoallergenic or natural dye substitutes along with hair dye allergy treatment at home.

Frequently Asked Questions
1. Allergic to hair dye what can I use to cover grey?
Ans: If you have a hair dye allergy, you might want to look into other methods for covering up grey hair. Natural plant-based dye henna is a popular option because of its hypoallergenic and gentle qualities.
Also, temporary hair color powders or sprays offer an easy solution without triggering allergic reactions. See a dermatologist for recommendations that meet your allergies and henna allergy treatment home remedy.
2. How serious is a hair dye allergy?
Ans: The intensity of a hair color allergy can range from slight irritation to serious reactions. Critical reactions can cause swelling, blistering, and in severe situations, anaphylaxis.
Particular signs can include itching or redness. Before applying any hair color, this is mandatory to do a patch test.
3. Why am I suddenly allergic to hair dye?
Ans: A hair dye allergy can arise from many causes, including changes in your body's immune system over time. Some hair dye chemicals, like paraphenylenediamine (PPD), can sensitize your immune system and cause an allergic reaction if you are exposed to them again.
A hair dye allergy can also develop suddenly due to genetic predispositions, environmental factors, or pre-existing skin conditions.
4. Which is the best non allergic hair dye?
Ans: One of the greatest non-allergic hair dye options is known as henna. Henna is a natural plant-based alternative to chemical dyes that tend to be gentler on the skin and cause fewer allergic reactions. It is made from the leaves of the henna plant.
There are also PPD- and ammonia-free hair dyes on the market that are made especially for people with sensitivity issues.
5. Can hair dye allergy cause hair loss?
Ans: It is rare, but a severe allergy to hair dye can result in hair loss. Most allergies show swelling or itching rather than hair loss.
Consider non-allergic options, stop using the dye, follow hair dye allergy natural treatment, and speak with your doctor if you experience an allergic reaction.

7. Don't want most of my muses to date women, purely bc I don't like women myself and don't think I'd be a good partner irp or at the very least a realistic partner irp to a female muse because of this. Still open to female ships tho, just not nsfw ones!
8. Trauma 100%. Aspen has major performance anxiety and stage fright, from me. Mercury has religious trauma which started a horrible cycle of self hatred and selling his body bc he felt worthless, similar to my religious trauma (although I never ended up selling my body due to insecurities). Grafaiteck is extremely worried about other's opinions of them and has a fear of failure due to their parents having such high expectations of them as a kid, similar to me. Etc etc I could go on for hours analyzing each detail in all of my muses that comes from my own personal experiences.
9. Extremeties. I'm very much a mixture of all my ocs all together, taking bits and pieces of personality from each of them, such as my hatred for authority for Flint, but each muse takes those traits I give them and makes it the core part of their personalities, rather than a small piece of it.
10. That's a tough one, I likely wouldn't be friends with most of my muses but the ones I would be friends with would be: Kel, Grafaiteck, Key, Anetto, possibly Eros, Viola, and middle school me would've been friends with Janine
11. Almost all of my muses are ocs so duplicates would be concerning considering theft, but if by chance I did rp duplicates I'd probably just have it be Jacq and he's just fully fascinated by it bc time travel ✨
12. Not necessarily, most of my old muses were dropped bc I left the fandom, lost interest, or just had other muses I liked way better. I do think it'd be fun to go back and do another Danganronpa killing game rp, those were fun for the angst
13. Grafaiteck does 'Girl Month' just like Finnster does
14. Shit shit shit what's her name.... Taylor Jenkins Reid!! I've only read The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo from her so far, but I love how it's told in incriments from the perspective of both Evelyn reliving her memories and the interviewer's life outside of Evelyn's book. It melds really well and I'd love to write in her style, some of my more descriptive scenes in rp are inspired by that book.
15. People who respond to me honestly. Genuinely. I've had countless potential rp partners ghost me after agreeing to plot a rp with me, I just want someone who will actually respond to my messages. But the honesty comes in with I don't wanna force people into rps and would love if my to partners tell me exactly what they want to do for a rp bc I'm really open to a lot, I'm better at listening to plans and executing them than making plans.
16. My favorite trope has got to be domestic life of a hardened criminal, just them falling in and out of love, dealing with life and the repurcussions of their past actions, and dealing with all of their own toxic behaviors and traumas from being a criminal. That's also why I like watching The Way of the Househusband, real good anime.
17. Least favorite trope is absolutely genuinely bullying someone you like for their attention, it's childish and I'd like it a lot more if it didn't have such a toxic impact on school crush culture, that really affected a lot of people's ways of viewing love and affection as kids and fucked them up.
18. Not really, I like my main AU fairly well :>
