He's real funny, he's the protagonist's father and they have a weirdly awful relationship where they both kinda suck but shawn (the protagonist) always comes to him or help (it's a detective show). Also it's kind of a running gag that shawn and his friend randomly run into henry and completely random locations. Also there are always flashbacks at the beginning of each ep and usually it's some interaction between the two that would foreshadow they're weird relationship twenty years later lol. In those flashbacks they like. Put a wig on the actor to signify that he's younger ACDJVE. They even poke fun at it in one ep "I don't know dad. If one were to put a wig on you, you'd kinda look like you did when i was a child".
