THE BIG FIND 2023: Day 6

The Big Find is a 10-day long Drarry fic-finding marathon to celebrate the blog’s anniversary. Below is the Day 6 compilation of lost fics, both old and new, that we’ve been unable to find. Our aim is to get as much attention to these lost fics as possible, to help people finally find their missing fics! Anyone can participate by reblogging, reading through each list, providing additional fic details, and informing us the title, author, or link of a fic, and their respective number in the comment section. Happy finding!

6.1 8th year, Harry is a bit of an ass, all the 8th years share a common room, Ron is actually the first one to befriend Draco and plays chess with him. Harry treats Draco poorly after they hook up or something so Ron punches Harry in the face. Probably AO3 but idk

6.2 post-Deathly Hallows fic. After the war, Narcissa and Lucius are dead or imprisoned. Malfoy Manor was auctioned off, Draco lives with his godfather Severus. Somehow Drarry get involved in a relationship, there is a scene where Harry gifts Draco a few things he found in thrift store like a teddy whose stomach lights up when pressed given by Severus to kid Draco who is scared of dark and parents ignore him.

6.3 ao3, E and probably one-shot. Harry and Draco are flatmates, Harry likes Draco and is convinced Draco is straight because he goes on many dates Narcissa plans bc he must marry a nice pureblood girl and blah blah. Harry is gay and has a group of friends he goes out with that are OCs, i think. The thing is Draco is a virgin and no one has ever given him a bj and Harry, as a very good friend not at all interested, gives him one. I think eventually Draco gets angry when Harry takes his one night stands home, but maybe not, not sure about the ending.

6.4 Basically Draco and Harry both speak French in this one, but Draco doesn’t know Harry speaks French as well and says a bunch of things to him that I’m pretty sure he never wanted Harry to find out (these things were romantic/sexual in nature). I’m pretty sure it was rated E Fic is not Say Anything by megyal

6.5 i remember a fic, it was a short one shot. i believe i read it on Tumblr. eighth year. i remember the line “your boy is a bit angsty” and harry finding draco sitting on a bench near the lake. i also remember pansy being in the fic.

6.6 I am looking for a fic that is probably on AO3 where Draco and Harry are friends i believe and Narcissa dies of cancer, she spends her last days in a muggle hospital. At the end i think Draco loses his memories from his time dating Harry bc he stayed in Azkaban (if I remember correctly it’s bc he was found in number 12 and taken into custody by Kingsley)

6.7 I’m looking for a fic where Draco returns to Hogwarts for 8th year, post war and either his magic is limited, or he knows not to use his magic if he doesn’t want to be kicked out of school/sent to Azkaban (don’t remember what it was, just that there was a consequence). This meant he was in a vulnerable position and Theo Nott kept bullying him. It escalates to a scene where Theo catches Draco in the shower and threatens to rape him with his wand and Harry arrives just in time before he does

6.8 I only remember that harry and draco cross through some kind of portal through a holly and hawthorn tree. Fate or magic or some kind of deity tells them they were always meant to be together one way or another eventually, but she brought them together now to avoid Harry and Ginny getting together and having a child who eill be a dark lord or some villain. She tells them that now they are boud together they can only be with one another and dont have to worry about the “evil” child every coming into existend because of their bond

6.9 fic on ao3 that was with a drunk Draco and he has a drinking problem and at slughorns party he tries to kiss harry but harry pushes him away that’s all I remember

6.10 fic I’ve read on ao3 but can’t seem to find it anymore. if I’m not mistaken, it takes place after war, and they were both working together (not sure if both of them are auror) but the case was about a girl possibly being sexually abused by his father, and draco help going through the case. i think harry once asked draco how he’s kinda prepared or at least know how to handle this type of case.

6.11 it has eventual Drarry and might be part of a series? I remember it starts from the beginning of the series and Draco either has visions or time travels, but I believe it was visions. He single-handedly defeats the troll in the bathroom and often meets w/ McGonagall for private lessons and check-ins. I remember Draco was receiving training from McGonagall, and this was a very predominant part of the storyline. I believe it was because he had visions. I think there was also something about an extreme blast of magic when he defeated the troll. Fic is not History Repeats Itself by tragicomic_relief, or The Mirror of Ecidyrue series by starbrigid

6.12 Dom Harry and sub draco. They were at some like sex/bdsm club . Draco was completely naked and was sitting on Harry’s dick while he was sitting at a bar talking to others Doms. I think it was because of the things the Doms are talking about or watching what other Dom’s were doing to their subs but draco was getting even more aroused and was squirming and whimpering. That was kinda turning Harry on and was annoying him I think so he whispered something along the lines of “stop or you'll get punished” and I think he didn’t stop and ended up getting some sort of spanking In front of everyone.

6.13 I read it YEARSS ago and have been trying to find it since! So its Draco centric- Draco is raised by Regulus (i think) he’s best friends with Cho Chang, and he has a massive crush on Cedric. (Cedric also has siblings in the fic, if that helps!!) The fic takes place around the Triwizard tournament so 4th year! From what I remember the fic had multiple chapters. I remember this scene where Draco was sitting in a bathtub having a panic attack and Cedric made him feel better. I also remember a scene where Draco ran to Cedric as he was putting his name in the goblet to stop him and Harry making fun of him?? Theres this OC i remember I think her name was Nana Mars? And of course Cedric’s siblings- i don’t remember their names. I think the fic was tagged with eventual drarry

FOUND! 6.14 I didn’t look when it was made or ratings and all. But I remember that it started when Harry was walking towards some tower? And he saw Draco naked (actually only without his shirt). Draco had made a potion that was suppose to make him disappear, but he accidentally made a love potion, which was from a very old potionbook. So because of that he fell in love with Harry because he was the first one he saw. And as the story goes on, Harry and Draco try to solve how to break the lovepotion curse and even Hermione tries to help them. I wasn’t ready reading it and i haven’t found it anymore.. i thought it was on wattpad, but i’m not sure anymore

Relooking at 6A after the start of the second half of the season is kinda funny. First episode with the blimp. They need to use the extended ladder but need to wait till the electricity is shut off so they don’t get electrocuted. . In the happiness convention the guy makes buck think he learned the secret to happiness right as he died. (Looking at you 6.10) In the episode where we see how Karen and hen got together, after Chim makes Karen think hen died Karen says so you wanted to what “pay it forward” Cursed gives us once again Eddie’s “prove to me something is real and I’ll believe in it” and the whole are curses real universe screaming at you of it all. Red flag gives us a few mentions of Shannon from Eddie. Interesting we haven’t really had a mention of Eddie’s wife/partner for awhile until the episode before buck loses a fight with Zeus 👀. We also get Denny questioning about his bio parents bringing up the issue of real parent vs “real” parent. And who does Hen talk to about it? Eddie. Who also has a son and might one day have the issue of navigating assigned parental roles eventually and a small insight of where his mindset on such issues would be. I’m sure there’s more and maybe none of this means anything idk I just found some of it to be ironic given what we saw happening in 6.10 and what we know going forward from bts stuff with 6B.

Nonnie I am fully applauding you for this magnificent meta!!! Because what I’ve been trying to explain in my weekly metas is that there’s a rhyme and reason to each and every episode we’ve gotten thus far. Everyone who’s been complaining about the lack of Buck and Eddie scenes aren’t looking at the full picture and that is everything else that’s going around them. Every single episode has had something significant occur that can in one way or another be connected to Buddie if they were choosing to make them romantic. I’ve mentioned so many different occurrences in my meta’s that are deliberate foreshadowing for a lot of things that I think are still yet to come and this is a wonderful summary of everything thus far. I also keep holding onto that very first episode where we had the Buckley-Diaz family dinner. Typically the first episode heavily foreshadows what’s to come by the finale. Well the finale is currently being filmed and who still doesn’t have a couch? Oh yeah that’s Buck. These writers and directors who’ve been chosen for this season are all pro Buddie canon people and their work is being laid out for all to see. What I’m trying to say is that everything you said is important for people to read and sit on bc they’ve been trying to tell us since the beginning! Thank you for sharing!

BTS in Order June Pt 1

6.1 ggdd Yiling market scene with a-yuan

- Dd does the sword in and out thing right in front of the child

- Then they're in post-timeskip costumes and gg does a few of his dance moves

- They're doing a scene where they are about to walk up to a building where jc is. Gg turns to DD and whispers something in his ear, facing away from where they're going. Then he touches DD's sleeve.

- They do a take. Dd as lwj walks to a nearby column and leans on it. After they call cut, gg immediately goes to kabedon DD, who smiles. Then they start walking off together

- As a blue screen is getting set up, DD helps gg with his dance. Then they do the SpongeBob thing

- Includes bit under covered walkway where gg does dancy walking away. They continue to talk and whatever the convo is about, gg finds it delightful/hilarious.

6.2 dramatic rain scene with DD being obscene with the umbrella

6.2 gg only with jc. Madam Jiang is there. They're planning out the whipping scene.

- GG calls JC "sausage" bc apparently the name Jiang Cheng sounds similar to the word "sausage"

- JC comments to the fight coordinator that he worries the audience will criticize the whipping scene bc Madam Yu is so harsh with WWX. GG teases him by pointing out a scene where JC tried to whip WWX. JC looks at the camera and says "I'm not that person."

- GG teases WZC for apparently lying about his height.

6.3 gg on produce 101 - Ggdd pretend not to know each other even tho they share an earpiece

6.4 gg only. With jc in lotus pier- More scenes in mo manor

6.6 ggdd. Wwx disrupting things at jinlintai . Gg does those weird tongue exercises

- Dark interior. Gg and XL are giggling with each other with the director beside them.

- In this scene, WWX promises to never leave Yunmeng or his family. Then gg laments that he keeps playing chars that renege on their promises. XL jokes that he's just that kind of boy.

- Gg and dd don't actually seem to interact. Gg is laughing and chatting with xl for most of these clips. And with jc

- Gg only. Outdoors with wq in rain

6.7 ggdd

- dd with lhk in a boat while gg, jc, and xl walk along the canal

- Gg intro scene to the flashback

- Ggdd with DD in blue robes outside. Between takes, they start singing something. I think this is when they're singing that aerobics song

- Under a tent, dark, DD sitting next to yubin, in a striped shirt, who's getting makeup done. gg and dd are watching scenes and gg laments about how bloated he looks. this is also where dd asks if his tear was okay during the Golden Core reveal.

- Gg puts flute to DD's throat. This is the clip I've seen translated as DD asking for a kiss and gg pointing out the camera

6.8 ggdd. With jc. Jinlintai again. This time with jgy's wife. Dancing women in bg. Gg bites fan

- Under tent finger guns. Dd returns obscene gesture off camera. 👉👌

6.9 gg only with xl and jzx

- Jc appears. At one point jzx is kinda stroking jc's chest. Then everybody laughs.

6.10 DD only on battlefield with jc.

6.11 gg only. Fight with jzx in cloud recesses

- ggdd same but nope there's a lot more extras and DD is there. Big group holding gg and jzx back from each other

6.13 ggdd cold spring

- Includes gg clinging to dd

6.14 more cold spring adventures

- They're sitting in the water going over the script and they keep flopping around. At one point gg stretches out in like a yoga pose with one hand down and the other stretched up and he screams in cold

- This feels really porny.

- Oh, and then DD discovers that flapping his sleeves in the water makes a lewd noise. Then it gets extra porny.

- Magnum wang moment

6.15 ggdd during wen indoctrination. In forest with lwj limping.

- Ggdd under umbrellas running thru the scene

- The "fuck you to love you" conversation. Gg's tank top is inside out.

Thor is a protagonist in my main OC story, Worlds Collide. He's Russian/Norwegian and comes from a long line of leaders.

He's 44 years old and 6.10 feet tall

His parents died in battle when he was 27, leaving him to become the new leader. However, he's been possessed since he was 7, so that got in the way of his duties and caused him to get sent to a variant of the backrooms by his father figure. If he died on a level, he'd just respawn and have to do it all over again.

When he FINALLY got out, there was an assassin after him. However, he fell in love with the assassin, and the assassin spared his life because he was just too pathetic to die.

Chaos ensues

I watched/rewatched 6.10&6.11 and I felt like I was watching some kind of freaky nightmare alternate reality version of this show even before the coma buck schtick.

And it ties in with the one scene in 6A that still gets under my skin and still feels unearned and unforgivable: the phone call between Eddie and Ramón.

So far s6 seems to be the season of OOC abusive parents, abused children being coerced one way or another to invite said parents back into their lives, and in 2/3 cases fairly specifically because of the grandchildren involved.

My mom said of 6.10&6.11 “it feels like an abused child’s warped fantasy of reconciliation, like if I finally just apologize or say or do the right thing, my parents will suddenly change and love me the way they’re supposed to/I’ve always wanted” and she was right. And it’s fucked up.

Listen, I’m in my thirties, I come from a multigenerational line of abused children, many of whom are also abusers, and I understand decently well that 1) change and growth are possible, 2) reconciliation and moving on are possible and even desirable in some cases and 3) every family is different and the dynamics involved are complex and have a big impact on why people make the choices they do regarding contact with abusive/harmful relatives (esp parents).

AND I also know that for me, a hard and unshakeable foundation of this is that the person who caused the harm needs to AT THE VERY LEAST acknowledge the harm, and preferably also express remorse and make some sort of apology. I know many times those apologies aren’t actually very good, or satisfying, but being validated that you were hurt is a huge and necessary step that has to happen BEFORE you can move into reconciliation, into building bridges and new relationship foundations. Sometimes they don’t give a very good apology, but the fact that they know they hurt you and are going to put forth some sort of effort not to do it again is enough to have contact. What you’re willing to adjust your boundaries about is a personal and situational thing.

This IS related to 911 because this show is fucking atrocious at this and I personal find it incredibly upsetting and given the way they dealt with s6 it’s tipped over into being triggering for me. So yeah I know I’m having a bit of an overreaction, but I haven’t seen anyone discussing this and so here I am.

Bc listen, in s4 when the Buckley parents show up at the fire house, they never actually apologize for the way they hurt Buck. They make excuses for their behavior but that’s not even in the realm of the same thing.

And look! That’s what they did with Abby as well!! She shows up in s3 and wants to see Buck and yet??? does she EVER actually apologize for ghosting him? No! She just makes excuses. It’s fucking gross. But that’s okay! Neither Abby nor the Buckley parents needed to be in Buck’s life! The show was fairly clear about that, and so the fact that those people did him wrong was just a Thing that Happened, but Buck had his chosen family and his career he was building and he made meaning there.

But enter s6, when suddenly the Buckley parents have been replaced by pod people WITH NO EXPLANATION????? And it visibly disturbs all of them, Maddie and Chim and Buck. All three of them *expect* more shitty behavior and when it doesn’t happen, they get confused. And later on Buck even says something along the lines of “oh they definitely didn’t approve [of the sperm donor thing], but they wanted to save face/have the upper hand against Mr. Han.” So he’s aware of it??

And yet. Man. What am I missing? Because the takeaway from his coma was that he what??? Says “I know you did the best you could and I love you anyways”????? and sure that’s what he says to his parents in his head but that by itself is fucking weird. But then after that he just…lets them come into his apartment and play act at being interested in his life, redecorate, Watch The Game, etc.

God it was so strange and out of character and just. It was just freaky.

It’s how I feel about the phone call between Eddie and Ramón in 6A. NOT because I’m against Eddie having some reconciliation with his father, or against him trying to rebuild something. But the fact is that the big talk he had with Ramón at the end of s5? They just addressed Eddie’s childhood, they didn’t go anywhere near any of the hurtful things that he and Helena said and did to Eddie as an adult!! When the issue was not longer about Ramón being absent, but was about them disapproving of his choices (wrt Shannon and then Chris) and actively trying to change the way he parents or take away his parental rights altogether.

And so what gets me so fuckin riled up about the phone call is that Eddie doesn’t just call to check in, or have a heart to heart or whatever to establish that he’s been working on things with his dad. No. He fucking calls his father to ask for PARENTING ADVICE.

Like no no no sorry no, it’s like a fucking fundamental character trait of Eddie’s, that he is a very protective and caring, loving father. He doesn’t always know what to do or how to achieve what he wants for Chris, but one of my favorite things about him were the hard fucking boundaries he set with his parents regarding Chris! They said “don’t drag him down with you” and in response, he fucking moved out of state because he recognized the threat! And I’m now actually fully vindicated with that because at least from Buck’s coma perspective, Eddie could have ended up in a nasty custody battle and lost! He was fucking RIGHT to put up those boundaries!

So having the very first convo we get to see between Eddie and Ramón be a request for help with Chris? It felt out of character and regressive and toxic.

I just feel like this season, the show can’t decide if it’s more important to “let” children have relationships with their blood relatives because what??? they’re “supposed” to???????

Or if they’re gonna keep going with the foundation they’ve built for all their characters over the last five fucking seasons, emphasizing the importance of chosen family, of putting in the work, of being in the mess with those you love and putting things back together as a team, of showing your care and respect for your loved ones by seeing them for who they are and loving and appreciating them where they’re at!

Like….you can’t actually have both those things, not unless those blood relatives accept the yoke of the chosen family rules and learn some humility and respect of their own. And this show is 0 for 3 when it comes to parents acknowledging the ways they’ve hurt their children RECENTLY. Like I’m NOT EVEN TALKING ABOUT ANY TRAUMA OR ABUSE THEY ENDURED AS CHILDREN. All three of Eddie, Chim and Buck have had terrible things said and/or done to them by their parents as adults ON THE SHOW. Where the FUCK are their apologies for that???

My only concession here is that esp w Chim’s dad (and to a smaller extent w Eddie’s dad) there are cross cultural complexities that I don’t fully grasp and can’t speak to. I still don’t think a small acknowledgement of the hurt caused is too much to expect, but I also admit to not knowing enough to say for sure. At least with Chim, he had on the one hand Hen encouraging him to talk to his dad FOR HIMSELF, to help himself get some closure, NOT as an attempt at reconciliation necessarily, bc she recognized that Chim can’t control how his dad responds, but as a step forward towards any kind of future with any number of different possibilities (she did NOT push him to do so for Jee’s sake, which I think is an important detail to remember); and on the other hand Chim also had Albert to deal with, which imho wasn’t dealt with very well, but IS a realistic complexity within families, particularly when siblings are either very far apart in age and/or have only one parent in common. Albert’s experience of their father was fundamentally different than Chim’s, and that was addressed in an earlier episode even! And so I think it was shitty but at least believable and in character for Albert to be a little manipulative like that and show up w his parents and pressure Chim into reconciliation. I’ve literally seen that happen within my own family. So like, as much as Chim shouldn’t have had to deal w that, his storyline was the most realistic/believable.

But like. Listen. With Chim and Maddie, and with Eddie; the thing I do NOT understand is that all three of them were hurt by their parents…what about that experience makes them feel like either their parents are owed a relationship with their child, or that their child should have or needs to have their blood relation grandparents in their lives???? Make it make sense!!! Jee already HAS grandparents with the Lees! (And lbr Chris very nearly has g-pa Bobby)

I just. These competing messages are fucking with me and they completely soured the lightning strike/coma buck storylines for me. Maybe I’ll feel differently later, maybe not. I spent the entire hiatus trying to get over the Eddie and Ramón phone call and didn’t manage it. It’s a very personal and very serious issue for me, and like. Listen…if my mom hadn’t protected me from her parents, if I had had to have forced interactions with them like that…I almost certainly would have been abused as a small child by one if not both of my grandparents. And they might have fought for custody of me, and they might have won, given that my mom was a single parent. This shit is very real! And like, I am also fully aware of how my mom has worked to have some semblance of a relationship with her mother, though it took a couple decades, but she has also never once attempted to communicate with her father. Like there’s forgiveness, and then there’s recklessness. And I’m not saying that the elder generation on 911 has done any of the same types of abuses that happened in my family, but I am saying that any type of abuse SHOULD warrant caution, and boundaries, and these characters have come far enough to demonstrate a tiny amount of fucking self-respect enough to demand some show of remorse and acknowledgment of wrongdoing! And they didn’t get any of that! It’s fucked!!!!!
