One of the things that gets me about the 'Vilgax possessed Kevin to build the Antitrix' theory (and it is a theory at best, the closest thing we have to evidence is his claiming Kevin was a 'vessel' with which to build it, but that can just as easily be read as 'I tossed the blueprints at you so you'd build it and it'd be ready when I got back', and the latter would make a lot more sense given if he'd possessed Kevin to get it done then why fucking let him keep a hold of it? why not hide it somewhere and then kill the kid? not like he's got some moral stance against it, and it would mean less hassle getting it back) is that this isn't something we see Vilgax do. Ever. We've seen weird shit with Vilgax and dreams in OS (and given Duncan Rouleou has stated that shit was due to being bound by fragments of Vilgax's DNA in the Omnitrix if we can already assume either that shit was expanded on or that even pre-watch there was Something going on with Kevin), but at no point are we ever given any indication that he can fucking possess people (which you'd think would have been utilized at some point before).
Like, the 'Vilgax either purposefully provided Kevin with the blueprints through a dream either so that it could be premade when he returned or accidentally provided the blueprints while for some reason fucking around in fuckers' heads and was saved face when somebody actually managed to build it by claiming it was on purpose' theory requires us to believe that Vilgax utilized a power other versions of him have already been shown to have to, on purpose or not, provide the blueprints he had already for the Antitrix to Kevin- who we see in the sequel series is a skilled mechanic and engineer and are shown during the reboot was already doing engineering as a child and regularly continued working on, fixing, and improving the Antitrix over the course of the show- who then built it.
Meanwhile the 'Vilgax possessed Kevin and built the Antitrix himself' theory requires us to believe that Vilgax pulled out a new power, off-screen, and used it the one time to not only possess an actual child with all the material access limitations that comes with but also for some reason leaves the resulting watch with the child, opening himself up to things like the risk of him breaking it and giving himself an added hassle as far as getting his hands on the damn thing when he did get back, rather than just hiding the watch somewhere safe and offing the witness.
So yeah, I'm going with the former.
#personally i'm of the 'vilgax purposefully showed off the blueprints but didn't expect anybody to actual be able to work with them' camp#like- after his attempt to get the power core he needed to make the things went as south as possible he decided to poke around some heads#got his little dreamwalker mitts on the best engineering minds to see if he could rubber duck off them to work out some ideas#for things on earth he could use to build a suitable substitute power source#only to find out when he got to earth that one of the fuckers had actually managed to understand the blueprints enough#and either worked out a suitable enough powersource or understood what vilgax came up with#and made his own#cue going 'oh hey that makes shit so much easier' but also playing it up like his plan all along#because like hell he's admitting this *human child* surprised him#it doesn't require him to pull out new off-screen powers or to be enough of a fool that he just leaves shit with random kids for no good re#and doesn't let the sort've fuckers that brush off any sign kevin has more than two brain cells linger around coming up with excuses#once had a fucker honestly come onto one of my posts and claim that *ben* at 16 had *clearly* modded the omnitrix in UA#because there was no way the member of the team that is *regularly shown* working with machines and tech was smart enough to#because 'good at math' apparently overrides 'the tech guy' status if the alternative is kevin being intelligent#fuckers in this fandom describing kevin as 'a passable mechanic' and they expect me to take their asses seriously

Hello! I was just wanting to request a request your way for Mihawk (OPLA) with a fellow Warlord please?
Preferably female and chubby (if that's okay!) who uses Polearms/spears and has a kind + warm attitude.
Scenario: Both have to work together under the orders of Garp to track down some pirates who've ganged together to cause havoc and its them having to figure out how to actually work together as a team and not individuals with mutual pining >:)
Song: Tongues and Teeth - The crane wives
Have an awesome day!
Pining 😫. Yes, absolutely. Of all of fanfic writing, pining is my absolutely favourite flavour to divulge in.
The song! I'm ✨obsessed✨. It's really shown me the vibe you want for the piece written.
I can already see the battle sequences of push and pull. I'm imagining she be more scrappy in her style, her joy in battle gleefully falling from her lips as they dance amongst each other in the thralls of combat; Mihawk always remaining steady and calculated with his blade.
Mutual respect for their titles, Ginger Cat x Black Cat/Doberman energy.
Disclaimer: I don't regularly utilise body, skin, eye, hair descriptors other than using terms that are exclusively feminine or masculine to have the "reader" be imagined in a multitude of ways. I am more than happy to make an exception to my rule in this case, but I usually prefer not to for ambiguity.
I have a few other pieces to complete before this one, unless the dice roll otherwise.
In the interim, here is the Masterlist for you to consume should you desire some other Mihawk fics. I'm yet to truly write a one-shot for him (I tried, and now it's an ongoing series).
He makes appearances in:
Dance Series: swing, sway, shag & shimmy (Mihawk x reader x Buggy fic) {Synopsis: a night off was granted by captain Buggy and his pirates. Acrobatic reader impresses both of the men with her dance style. Both men decide they have the ability to potentially play nice as they share the acrobat. (Smut in chapter 4)}
Bar Shift: as a patron of Baratie (Sanji fic) {Synopsis: Sanji and Reader are work husband and work wife. They develop feelings of infatuation as they flirtatiously navigate their way through developing rapport as coworkers and now a relationship.}
The Apprentice: the one-shot that got out of hand because I love talking about wine (Mihawk fic). {Synopsis: bitchy boss and their bratty underling, enemies to lovers. Sword fighting, wine tasting and navigating complex feelings. (nudity mentioned in chapter 2 and 3, chapter 5 smut)}
You Should Be Sad: 3-part series of angst, fluff & smut. {Synopsis: Mihawk ruins his relationship with his former fiancé by not giving her the attention and care she truly longed for. She is a talented musician, performing at Baratie when she sees her ex-lover. Sings her wrath to have him feel something. (Angst in part 1, fluff in part 2, smut in part 3)}
I've also got two fics that are active works in progress upcoming:
El tango du Mihawk: Dance Series. {Synopsis: a talented thief manages to obtain an invite to the marine ball and decides to utilise it as a great opportunity to steal from the wealthiest members of the world government. Mihawk immediately recognises them and decides to toy with their scheming, tango dancing ensues.}
The Marine's Mistake. {Synopsis: something horrible occured to rid the warlord of his signature facial hair. Cadets had gathered and began whispering in hushed tones as Garp held a seated meeting with the warlord at a table in a run of the mill tavern. A new transfer does not recognise the sleek cheeks of the handsome gentlemen and immediately decides to approach to flirtatiously engage him over a drink or two. Mihawk is amused.}
I will add this to the ever growing Mihawk list and aim to complete it shortly! Thank you for your request! ❤️

A note to fellow Harmony readers/writers
Hello everyone,
I feel the need to say something about recent events. A post on the Harmony subreddit has given a platform for people to air their grievances about a particular story. This isn’t the first time I’ve seen this happen and have been on the receiving end. And it really sucked. I’ve let myself believe that is part of being in this fandom, having your work ripped apart publicly and regularly.
I would like to ask the moderators of these spaces to please consider changing their stance on this. Adding in a rule that prevents posts like the one mentioned, among others. Again, this really isn’t meant to cast blame on any particular person. There was a comment about how writers need to stop acting like their god's gift to writing or the fandom, and to simply get over negative criticism. I want to clarify I don’t think that I’m special, or that my voice matters because I happen to write fanfic.
I’m no god, but I am a human. One who is dealing with their own pain as best they can. There are real problems that are much larger than fandom. Which makes it all the more difficult when I do choose to escape the horrors, only to find more negativity. I don’t expect the internet to always be a ‘safe space', but I do think fandom spaces can be more focused on positivity.
All of this has made me reevaluate my own role within fandom. I’m giving myself time and grace to make a final decision on how I want to move forward. In the meantime I would encourage anyone who cares about the fandom community to please reach out to the team at HMS Harmony (with kindness, they are also humans with feelings and lives.) If you feel inclined you could ask them to consider adding some caveats on how fics are discussed on public spaces such as Reddit and discord.
On another note, I myself haven’t always been as kind as I would have liked. If I’ve ever said something that’s upset anyone, I’m sorry. I regret some of the ways I’ve shown up in fandom over the years. I’m personally working on my own anger that I wrestle with, in real life and on the internet. Overall I would love to see if we could all think more carefully in how we discuss things, especially people’s creative work.
If you are a reader, there are so many positive ways you can contribute. The number one way is to reach out to those authors whose work you adore, especially those who don’t receive many comments. Tell them what you love about how they write Harry and Hermione, let them know their work matters to you. I promise it will make their day and encourage them to keep going. When you participate in fandom, focus on discussing the stories that make you go hell yes! Make fandom friends, who you can privately talk more in depth about works or what doesn’t work for you in a fanfic. Discord can feel private! But when you have over 5k members it isn’t and discussions that veer into complaining about an author’s choices it can start to come across as a pile up. I know hearing about how my own stories are discussed has left me discouraged.
To quote Albus Dumbledore-"Words are, in my not-so-humble opinion, our most inexhaustible source of magic. Capable of both inflicting injury, and remedying it.” There is collective power in how we engage. I’ve personally adored this pairing since I was a young child. To this day I still remember some of the storylines that I would play over and over in my head. I took solace in the magical world when I was bullied and I spent my lunch hours hiding in the library with my copy of PoA. As an adult I’ve turned to writing fanfic while trying to manage grief and the overwhelm of figuring out this next stage of my life. What has stayed consistent is my love of these characters.
It took me 22 years to start writing down my ideas, and I’ve found a lot of joy in doing so. I know many other writers have to. There really is nothing like getting a story out of your head and onto the page, even better? Getting to share it with others who love those characters too. We should think of ourselves as lucky that there are so many different stories out there to choose from. And that so many people choose to share their creativity with the world. I truly think we have more in common than we may realize, readers/writers/moderators etc.
I’ll leave you with this poem, because I find poetry always expresses things better than I can.
All the best,
Suzy.

Kai’s first plot line in V-Force absolutely fascinates me and I feel like no one ever talks about it.
Here me out: Kai’s plot primarily involves his relationship with Wyatt and the grief he feels after losing him, but why? Sure, he believes himself at fault for his death, but have you ever noticed how strange Kai behaves during this period? The season goes out of its way to acknowledge that Kai has a tendency to just leave while his team is talking, never giving us a clear answer as to why. It’s literally never even brought up, even though the time is taken to show the audience that it’s happening. Kai is also the only one to genuinely appear affected by what happened during Wyatt’s battle with Dunga, enough where he not only begins to hallucinate, but also seems to have a rather genuine PTSD episode. If Tyson hadn’t yelled at him, he literally would have walked right off of the ledge of the beydish. If Wyatt died in Kai’s arms that day, why is he the only one having such a strong emotional reaction? Realistically, all of them would have some sort of trauma regarding seeing someone die and yet the rest of them never seem to even slow down afterward, let alone take time to mourn. It isn’t until Kai opens up during the tie match that Tyson seems to understand what sort of pain he’s in and yet, even as a typically emotional character, Tyson’s response is to smirk at him and accuse him of going soft, taking a minute to tease him instead of immediately acknowledging his pain. Tyson is one of the most emotional characters in the show, regularly allowing himself to cry in front of his friends and shown in seasons 2 and 3 to have anger issues. He should completely see where Kai is coming from, not tease him for it so why does he?
Because Wyatt was not originally supposed to die in Kai’s arms, he was supposed to be an implied love interest.
Let’s begin by discussing some tropes that were rather common during the early 2000s that Kai and Wyatt as a whole, or in some cases just Wyatt or just Kai, seem to fit into. The main one I want to discuss is known as the secondary love confession. This trope tends to involve a secondary character, usually of the same sex, essentially doing all but confess their love to a main character. In order to avoid the controversy of the relationship being canonically depicted as gay, this trope tends to be played in a way that instead depicts a budding friendship that before the confession, did not exist. Characters can either be depicted as enemies who suddenly need to confess they don’t hate each other, or a more cold character suddenly allowing their guard down in order for the person they’ve been originally pushing away to come into their life. Kai spends most of the scenes he has with Wyatt avoiding him. He does not want to talk to him, does not want to be his friend, and does not want him following him around. Yet when Wyatt comes back to him, Kai seems to have an oddly content relationship with him. He doesn’t say anything when Wyatt introduces himself as his friend, he does not appear annoyed at seeing him again and in fact, the way that it’s portrayed (primarily in the Japanese dub) it seems as though Kai does not want Wyatt to actually stop trying to become someone he views as worth his time in battle. He wants Wyatt to continue training, he wants him to come find him again someday, but it’s done in a very ‘Kai’ way. Furthermore, every other character on their team is also given a version of this trope! The only difference is that the remainder of the team is given this trope with a member of the opposite sex. Ray has a similar confrontation with Salima when he learns she does not want to continue working with Team PsyKick, Tyson has one while coming to terms with Hillary being a part of the team and being useful despite her lack of understanding regarding the sport as a whole and Max is given one while trapped with Miriam, proving to both her and himself that she is not their enemy. So is it a coincidence that Kai’s person who he needs to open up to in order to develop his character also happens to be a member of the same sex? Gay characters, especially before the 2010’s, have typically had to remain hidden, their sexuality merely implied instead of outright stated.
This brings me to my next trope, the one we all know as ‘bury your gays’. This is where is gets more complicated as I stated that I don’t believe Wyatt was intended to die in Kai’s arms, but I also don’t necessarily believe he was meant to live. This is a very well known trope in regards to gay characters and I won’t go into as much detail with it, but I do want to explain why I think it was thrown in at the last minute. As I explained before, Kai is regularly shown leaving during scenes where we see the team as a whole, not only that but the way the animation pans makes this very clear and obvious to the audience. Kai leaves, we’re directly shown this, yet it’s never acknowledged. So why does the show go out of the way to make this known to the viewer? Because Wyatt is not dead. At least not yet. During Kai’s final battle with Goki we are shown what’s believed to be Wyatt’s spirit guiding him, causing Kai to have hallucinations and flashbacks. Originally this hallucination is depicted as Wyatt in the Team Psykick uniform in a state of psychosis before changing to the Wyatt we know as an audience who insists to Kai that what happened to him is not his fault. This is our first instance of believing that Wyatt might no longer be alive. The one thing that strikes me as odd, though… if Wyatt died in Kai’s arms, why is he depicted in what seem to be either pajamas or hospital clothes? Not only that, but why do we suddenly get a flashback of Wyatt falling from something and holding out for Kai’s hand in an outfit we have never seen him in before? I know this may get me mocked, but I firmly believe that there was a plot line for an episode that was not made, and I believe that episode involves Kai visiting Wyatt in the hospital and something happening which causes Wyatt’s death. What this something is I can’t be sure, but one thing I do believe is that Kai is the only one who was there when Wyatt died and that his teammates do not know this. (Personally I’m still hoping for a more legit love confession but I understand that Beyblade avoids romantic relationships with the characters and instead only implies relationships or crushes, similar to how no one seems to know for sure if Ray and Mariah are dating or not). Had Tyson not known of Wyatt’s fate, his reaction to Kai makes more sense. He isn’t viewing Kai’s reaction as him mourning, he’s acknowledging that his emotionally constipated friend has developed his first crush.
This brings me to my last point, Kai leaving. This is the main reason that I believe Kai was visiting Wyatt in the hospital. Even if we didn’t necessarily have an entire episode showing a blossoming relationship between them, what if it was supposed to play out in smaller scenes where we followed Kai as he went to see him? Thus making it necessary to show the audience that he is walking away from his friends and going to do something on his own. There’s only one time we are ever given an explanation to where Kai goes when he wanders off and that’s during the scene where he’s laying on his back in the middle of the woods like the little weirdo we all know and love. This paragraph is going to be shorter than my other two because I’ve already explained this belief in a less drawn out way in a different paragraph and because I’m not being graded on this essay. Also I’ve been writing this for over an hour and I’m tired but can’t sleep until I get it out of my head and on paper (digital paper, that is).
In conclusion, it is my belief that Kai was intended to be portrayed as an early 2000s version of an openly queer character. Not only does he fit more than one trope from that time period but he also has several scenes that we are not offered explanation to, has what seems to be a PTSD episode that his teammates never acknowledge, but it also seems that his relationship with Wyatt was meant to play a larger roll in his overall character arch of that season. Ya boi is gay as hell and in love with a posh little brunette and ya essay author is tired and doesn’t actually wanna make this sound like an essay I would have written in school anymore. I will ship these two until the day I die and really hate that they’re of such little interest in the shipping fandom.

Peace out

Catwoman stories that DC should write, part two:
*The armless master, Ted Grant and Alfred all fighting over who gets to walk Selina down the isle only breaking off when Selina tells the exciting news of her grandparents coming all the way from Cuba to see her away.
*An issue about a gossip reporter trying to catch the new it girl socialist Selina Kyle in a compromising position except it's always something stupid. He caught her on time sneaking off from a party with Harvey Dent and Bruce Wayne but it's so they argue somewhere quiet about ancient roman history. Another time she ran with famous singer Dinah Lance but it was to order pizza because either of them remembered to eat. The one time he gives up and doesn't bother chasing her, she went to a forgotten bathroom mid gala to dress up as Catwoman.
*Crossover story with Batman where they both find out Killer Croc escaped prison again and together they try to find him before anyone gets hurt. It's revealed in a flashback reveal Selina and Waylon met as young street rats trying to survive who had no one and vowed to watch the other's back since then. Even without using their sob story. Bruce is merciful with Waylon and is maybe the second person who has ever shown him compassion, even giving him a job offer as a chance for a new life. This could have been Selina's big "oh, Oh" moment if it weren't for her massive emotional constipation.
*Forming her own thievery group with the girls who were at her bachelorette party with a Maven cameo as Selina's assistant/the force of nature expert keeping Selina's civilian life together through detailed schedules and iron will.
*Selina visiting Ireland with Maggie to put their father's ashes to rest only to get bungled up in fae shenanigans against their will.
*Selina getting to be a mom without drama. That's it. That's the story. No one dies, lost in time, kidnapped by an evil origination or given up for adoption since DC are fucking allergic to allowing women of color to be decent mothers.
*A whole chapter dedicated to Selina's slow battling of her phobia of water to give courage to other readers who are fighting their own anxieties cause I doubt a young teen can walk off being nearly drowned to death without longtime consequences.
*Selina finding out a family member nearly got killed cause of gang violence and Catwoman tearing Gotham apart limb from limb until the message was sent across. People tend to forget her claws can cut through steel and many remember that lesson the hard way.
*Showcasing every job Selina had off screen while the rest of the cast tried to kill each other over what's good and evil such as: ancient linguistic expert, professional dancer of multiple genres, Hollywood actress, art gallery owner, veterinarian, book author of ancient myths retelling with actual research (she was sick and tired of all the tiktok takes), and a part singer for charity events.
*Having an on again off again team ups with the Riddler. On one hand, he is a somewhat decent friend who's great with gadgets and a ruthless gossip, but the other hand he just does not stop dropping clues of their crimes and is always too lax with their getaway plans and god damn it Eddie, it's like you're trying to get us caught!
*Tragic friendship that could have been romance turned enemies between Pammy and Selina before either of them dawned their costumes. Selina donating a large sum of money she "gathered" over the weeks to the firm Pammy worked at because they were one of the few that didn't test their products on animals. Sweet shy Pammy saw Selina with walk in with confidence and beauty of a goddess and nearly tripped over herself when Selina asked for her opinion on a matter she couldn't even hear them talk about. They became friends afterwards, and Selina would regularly come back for talks and advice about poisons that seem shady but Pammy was too in love fascinated by the subject to question her motives.
*A pre street kid story where it shows Selina having a happy home life with her parents and little sister before it was all taken away from her. If Batman can have a hundred versions of his parents murder, Selina can have variation where her family didn't suck.
*Selina going through a crisis when she hit twenty and decided to take a bisexual gap year to travel the world where she gained Bast's favour in Egypt, accidentally seduced a moon deity in hiding, had a summer romance with Talia in Singapore, gained Shiva's attention by mastering sword dancing in China, put an angry one thousand year old spirit to rest by returning her precious hairpin and gaining more divine favors and returning to Gotham to get hammered on her 21th birthday.

The Right Man for the Job?
Who assigned the different Batch members their roles within the team?
Because I’ve been thinking this over and it seems like they’re not necessarily placed in the positions most suited to their individual strengths.
Wrecker is super strong. If you need someone to lift an entire troop transport off of someone or to shoulder barge a bunch of droids out of your way then he’s your man, but he lacks stamina compared to the others and tires quickly when running a long distance in ‘Cornered’ and when operating the underground carts in ‘Infested’, so certain types of physical work really aren’t what he’s best suited to but he seems to have been stuck with the role of ‘dumb muscle’ regardless.
But he’s shown himself to be perfectly capable of problem solving in order to achieve his goals, such as working out how to cross the pool of molten metal in the droid dismantling factory, he also created a soft and warmly lit space (complete with curtains) for Omega using only whatever he could find onboard the ship (since they were stuck on a desolate moon at the time and he couldn’t exactly pop to the shops) without any assistance, and along with his bomb disposal experience it suggests that he’s far better with precise, detailed work and working with his hands than he often seems to be portrayed as being.
So... did he make Lula himself?
On a side note: When Ruby escapes from her cage and is running scared she makes a beeline right for him, even if she does accidentally freak him out by climbing onto his face, and after he’s fought and shown his dominance to Muchi she seems very relaxed around him despite being sat on as well as being surrounded by other people and the bustle of a busy city, which suggests that his calm demeanor and gentle nature could mean he’d work well with animals.
.
Echo has excellent planning and strategy skills, they make a point of making it clear that not only were the Techno Union using him for this exact purpose, but that he and Rex used to work out their battle plans together before the events at the Citadel.
But instead he seems to be relegated to doing the dog work.
Carry Ruby’s cage Echo, Fix the ship alone Echo, climb the sheer wall using one hand and, what, one elbow? Echo, etc, etc
.
Crosshair similarly appears to have excellent planning and strategy skills and we’ve seen him use them to lead his team and outmanoeuvre his quarry with no hesitation or error. But when he was with the Batch nothing we saw ever suggested that he was given the opportunity to assist with planning or strategy for their missions.
Crosshair was assigned to be the sniper so was kept in the rear and watching their backs and while he excelled at doing that job, was it really the best position for him within the team?
Because it seems like Tech could have done that job just as well as he did.
Not only is he a great shot and has his visor for all sorts of visual augmentation, but since all those aerials on his pack as well as him regularly checking his datapad and comms mark him down as the team’s radio operator wouldn’t they want to keep him well protected, especially since he lacks a complete set of armour?
Him operating from the back and watching over the others would put him further from the main action and far less at risk of major damage owing to inadequate protection for his abdomen and thighs, but he’d still be on hand to assist with anything technical that Echo couldn’t handle before he got back to them.
.
Is Hunter the one on the team who makes the best leader? That’s hard to say since no one else appears to get any kind of a say in how the team operates or what jobs they take. Until he isn’t there anymore. At which point they default to the ARC trooper, and the one present who likely has the most command experience, leading them.
And I get that during a mission they need to work as a single unit, to jump when told to and without hesitation, but nothing appears to get discussed between missions either. They just don’t talk to each other, which is weird after seeing leaders like Rex interacting with varying members of the 501st and talking things over with them even though he’s the Captain and could just hand out orders too.
.
The moment these guys appeared we were told who they were, what they did and which specific boxes they fitted into. But I’m not at all convinced that any of that is really correct, only how we’re supposed to see them until the wider plot rolls out at which point we’ll be expected to be magically surprised to find that they’re not actually who we were told they were in the first place.

(headcanons; kita’s family) (don’t reblog!)
- shinsuke is the middle child of three children. his older sister, mei, is significantly older than her brothers, being fifteen years older than shinsuke. in comparison, shinsuke’s younger brother, yori, is four years younger than him.
- shinsuke’s family when he was growing up was a little bit... broken up in places - or rather, circumstancially distant. mei moved out of the house at the age of eighteen, when she graduated highschool. after one failed semester at a university in tokyo, she moved abroad, following her rather wild and adventurous nature wherever the wind would take her. shinsuke was only three at the time, and yori wouldn’t be born for another year.
- when yori was born, shinsuke took his older brother role rather seriously - perhaps a little too seriously? already an old soul trapped in a body younger than his years, shinsuke cared deeply about his little brother, but struggled to follow him into his games and play. he did, however, always encourage yori’s precocious creative side. years later, yori would credit his older brother for his successful career in the arts.
- when shinsuke started middle school, he moved into his grandmother’s house, which was much closer to the school than his parents’. he and yumie had always gotten along splendidly, and shinsuke had virtually no objection to the matter.
- when shinsuke turned thirteen, his father received a promotion at work, and a proposal that was difficult to refuse. however, this new job would require him, and his family, to move to korea. concerns arose because of shinsuke who, since he was a little boy, had always shown some resistance and anxiety to drastic changes. after length discussions among the family members, it was decided that yumie (who didn’t want to leave japan) would take care of shinsuke until he graduates from highschool. he permanently moved in with his grandmother, and his parents and yori moved to korea. incidentally, mei joined them a few months later. the kita family was thus split between korea and japan, with yumie and shinsuke being the only ones left in hyôgo.
- as a result, shinsuke only... distantly knows his siblings, really. he did not grow up with them, and they did not grow up with him. they did videocall regularly when shinsuke was in middle and highschool, and messaged each other regularly - mei even travelled to japan regularly in a bid to visit her brother and grandmother, and they all get along well, but when shinsuke looks at the miya twins? he can see the difference.
- shinsuke and his grandmother are very close. she essentially raised him, and he refuses to consider a future where he does not take care of her in her old age. in some ways, they are best friends - they have been a team for too long for it to change now.
- yumie lives on the farm with shinsuke. she lives in a small guest house near the main house so that she can retain her independence and shinsuke can enjoy his as a young adult. yumie is very independent and knows pretty much everyone in the village (arguably she is even more popular than shinsuke is).
- when yori graduated from highschool, he came to hyôgo to spend a few months on the farm while figuring out what he wanted to do with his life. this gave him and his brother the opportunity to reconnect, and they have remained quite close since. after leaving the farm, yori moved to tokyo and eventually became a successful music composer in the film and tv industry.
- the first and only time shinsuke left japan was to visit mei in thailand, where she moved after getting restless in korea. he spent a few weeks there, and felt like he was finally getting to know his older sister, and vice versa. to this day, they call each other every week, and mei visits once a year. as of 2022, she is a professional diving instructor and happily married. the last time sh called shinsuke was to tell him he would, before the end of the year, become an uncle.

How to Manage a Remote Team Working Across Different Time Zones
Managing a small group is a great idea, but there are certain things you need to be careful of while doing so. Organizations in several countries are designed for the remote coordination of their teams. If you manage a remote team that spans different time zones, you can do a few things to ensure everyone is on the same page.
“Working Across Diverse Time Zones is Nothing Novel!”
Different time zones have always been a challenge for team management. However, with the right tools and strategies in place, it is possible to effectively manage a team across different time zones.
One of the key challenges of managing a team across different time zones is ensuring everyone is on the same page. This can be achieved by setting clear expectations and communicating regularly. Another challenge is dealing with different work schedules. To overcome this, it is essential to be flexible and accommodating.
With the right approach, managing a team across different time zones can be done effectively. It is essential to set clear expectations, communicate regularly, and be flexible to make it work.
What are Distributed Teams’ Concerns
Lack of Control
When it comes to distributed teams, the biggest concern is often a lack of control time-keeping can be challenging, and team members can feel disconnected from one another when it’s a challenge. Self-discipline, equipment, and teamwork are the keys to telecommuting just as effectively as office work.
Doubtful Working Results
With the rise of globalization and the internet, more and more businesses are going global. This means that teams are often spread across different time zones and geographical locations. It can open a new market and generate new talent, but it also comes with a certain set of challenges.
The distributed team is concerned about Doubtful Working Results. With remote teams, keeping track of time and work completed can take time and effort. This is because there is no central location for team members to work from. Remote work can also be challenging when it comes to communication. Team members may need help to meet in person to discuss work, making it challenging to stay on the same page.
Communication Gap
When a team is distributed across different locations, time zones, and cultures, there is potential for miscommunication. This so-called “communication gap” can be a significant concern for remote teams. One way to tackle this is by changing how you think about it. Next, use time-tracking tools in order to determine when each person is committed to deadlines. Second, have regular check-ins and video conferences so that team members can stay in sync.
Benefits of Distributed Teams
There are many benefits to distributed teams. One of the most apparent benefits is that it allows organizations to tap into a larger talent pool. With a distributed team, you can hire people who live in your city or are willing to relocate. Locating the perfect individual to perform the task is not so difficult, no matter where they are.
Another benefit of distributed teams is that they can be more productive. Studies have shown that people who work from home are more effective than those who work in an office. This is because there are fewer distractions at home, and people can create their ideal working environment.
Finally, distributed teams can help you save money. With a traditional office, you have to pay for things like rent, utilities, and furniture. With a distributed team, you don’t have these overhead costs.
Four Tips for Overcoming Common Difficulties:
Whether you’re a seasoned remote worker or just starting, there are bound to be challenged. Here are four tips for overcoming some of the most common difficulties:
1. Allow both- asynchronous and synchronous communication
With the current pandemic, more and more people are working remotely. This means that team communication is essential for the success of remote work. There are two types of team communication: synchronous and asynchronous. Synchronous communication is when team members communicate in real-time, such as through video conferencing. Asynchronous communication involves team members communicating via email or chat without needing a real-time response.
2. Use tools to assist with time zone management
Time zone management becomes integral to keeping team communication flowing as the workplace increasingly moves toward remote teams. Tools can be used to help manage the performance review team all around the globe.

The First SAG Strike - March 7-April 18, 1960
This is the third strike SAG has called, and only the second one where the WGA was out on strike as well. Then, as well as now, a major issue was residuals in the growing television market.
In 1960, actors didn't get residuals for films shown on television -- and the studios were busily mining their back catalogs for things they could toss into the maw, with only a few "jewels" which were regularly re-released into theaters (such as GWTW) held back. TCM sometimes runs some of these programs, films either chopped into parts and run over two or three episodes or chopped into a highlight reel with someone like Walter Pidgeon for MGM Parade serving as host.
The actors, seeing the growth of this new medium, kept asking for a piece of the pie. The studios kept saying no. When negotiations began in January 1960, the studios wouldn't even discuss the issue.
SAG President Ronald Reagan--yes, that Ronald Reagan--joked he was "trying to negotiate for the right to negotiate." The studios wouldn't budge, so in February, he called for a strike vote, with a work stoppage date set for March 7, 1960. The studios were convinced he was bluffing.
The actors struck on schedule, and Hollywood ground to a halt. Universal blinked first, agreeing to the principle of residuals. The other majors followed, and the first talks on residuals began. In April, an agreement was reached which offered:
Actor residuals for all studio films made starting in 1960.
No residuals for any studio films produced before 1948.
In lieu of residuals for films made between 1948 and 1959, the producers agreed to a one-time payout of $2.25 million, a contribution SAG would use as seed money for a new union health insurance plan and a pension plan.
SAG members voted overwhelmingly to accept the contract, though a number of actors whose primary work had been prior to 1948 insisted Reagan and the negotiating team had given away the store and screwed them over.
It was that strike which laid the foundation for residuals, despite the efforts of the studios to avoid the situation. In 1980, the union fought for, and won, residuals for cable and video. Now, while AI dominates many of the headlines, the issue of residuals is still an important one, especially since the studios have discovered new and exciting ways to screw folks out of residuals because of the rise of streaming services. Sixty-three years on, and some of this looks very familiar.

If you want to be successful, it is very important to understand how to guide your team correctly. This blog will discuss ways that will help you become an effective leader in your organization.
Leadership Development Goals
Whether you are naturally a leader or maintain to develop your leadership skills over some time, there is still space for progress. A way to evolve into the most suitable leader is by developing leadership development initiatives. Here are examples:
Stay Open-minded
Give your team a clear vision to work for. Be as responsive to everyone as you possibly can, and don’t directly shoot down other people’s ideas. You want to maintain a positive environment and keep your team motivated toward a vision of success!
Stand Firm in Your Convictions
If you have a unique idea, run with it. Even if you think some people might not understand it, be confident that your ideas are viable. If you aren’t, who will be? A true entrepreneur doesn’t have an easy path.
Trust Your Instincts
Enjoy solving the problem at hand with cutting-edge ideas. Encourage others to work together, and take everyone’s ideas and suggestions into consideration. Oftentimes, there won’t be a clear path and things will seem uncertain. This is the time to be innovative and trust yourself, your intuition, and your team.
Create a team culture of continuous learning and development.
Encourage employees to volunteer for leadership positions or even take on some tasks outside their job description.
Conduct workshops at least once per quarter. Partner with other companies that offer them, such as Skillsoft, TEDx: Ideas Worth Spreading, and more.
Have your staff members update blogs highlighting what they’ve been working on lately regarding various projects so co-workers can see how it impacts everyone else who works there, too (think about posting these updates regularly). This will also help alleviate any confusion from clients/customers.
Offer constructive feedback that fosters improvement in work efficiency.
Through feedback, companies implement clear communication and hone employee growth.
Focus on improvement and not on faults. You could drive your team to excellence by providing constructive feedback.
Giving feedback is beyond merely assessing an individual’s behavior. It could ignite growth and development when executed properly.
Create an environment wherein your employees feel reassured of your feedback’s intentions.
Make every employee feel like they’re an integral part of the company.
Employees want to know that their employer values their work matters and that Job tasks are not always easy, but make sure everyone feels they have a voice in decisions about the company’s future.
Feedback is crucial when it comes to leadership skills – regardless of whether it’s positive or negative, there won’t be any improvement in one’s performance without effective feedback.
Lead your business through communication and transparency. By doing so, your employees will go beyond what you expect from them because you have shown that you care for them as well.
Also, ensure to provide comprehensive group insurance policies to your employees to make your life easier.

Remember these icons, because they will appear again on the song selection screen. Pure is represented by a green sparkle icon, Smile by a pink sun icon, and Cool by a blue half-moon icon. Each idol has her own personality, looks, level, experience, and even her own special skills. It's also important to create at least three teams devoted to each of the three skills, which are Pure, Cool, and Smile. LoveLive School Idol Festival is a rhythm game where you manage a group of idols, choosing from dozens of different characters to customize. If my girls run out of that green stamina bar at the top of the screen during a Live Show, they'll fail out and the show will be over. Eli Ayase's member card (shown above) displays her statistics, including her Stamina, which is the 3 next to the green heart. If you can't take breaks because the game has dragged you into its horrific maw, I also recommend trying not to hunch over too much.įor example, I need at least a few of my team members to have high stamina because that way, I'll have more chances to do a terrible job on a hard song. This is probably about the time to warn you that playing this game might hurt your neck. I still occasionally hold my phone and use my thumbs, but I don't tend to score as well when I do so. In my experience, it's best played while sitting at a table or desk with your iPhone propped up on a book or stand this frees up your index fingers to play. There's much debate as to whether using index fingers or thumbs make the game easier, but I tend to score better when I use my index fingers. And even if you use headphones, you need to hold your phone securely in order to hit complicated rhythms, and the pressure of the headphone jack into your palm might be irritating. Given that this is a rhythm game, and you need to hear the song in order to play it properly, this can cause problems. Since you only ever need to hit two circles at one time, you could play the game with your thumbs: If you hold your iPhone sideways to do so, however, your palm may mute the speaker.

Improving Time Management in Agile Teams
Tumblr media
“The key is in not spending time, but in investing it.”- Stephen R. Covey
Time is most important thing in today’s business world. Managing and investing well in time will make you achieve anything you aim for. For businesses, time is a systematic and urgency-based allocation structuring and distribution among competing demands. The agile core consists of principles of working under challenges, working with constant speed, overcoming issues, and continuously improving. Agile was well popular because of its short time for task completion and market reach along with providing quality products. Agile consists of heavy business value and focuses on managing cost, time, and scope in a project.
In agile we have seen some concepts and processes which are used to manage time like time box, daily stand-ups for 15 minutes only, adding buffer, reducing cycle time, decentralized decision making to avoid a gap between decision making and working, prioritization, and avoiding overtime. This has shown us that organizations that follow agile are way better at time management than any other traditional ones. When compared we can observe differences in traditional and agile time management and come to understand why agile is in a boom right now. Some of the differences are;
During projects in the traditional working, the scope is fixed at the very starting of the project resulting in driving the schedule and project without understanding the quality and in-between fixes. In agile, teams fix a time for the near future or tasks, assess and reassess the upcoming task and work completed ensuring how much they can complete further in a provided time. Traditional projects never start working from the very start of the projects, whereas agile work from the very first week of sprints and projects. The main is meetings and project updates are carried out without any time frame in traditional projects whereas in agile every event is time framed.
There are some basic habits agile team members have to follow other than the processes and concepts to achieve this time management and make their team more effective and efficient. These habits will help them individually to manage their time more properly than anyone else.
Tumblr media
Habits to Improve Time Management
Go through tasks you need to complete in a decided time being
Leaders must establish a habit among team members of visualizing the tasks they need to complete within the decided time like within a week. Team members must decide how long they will have to work. By visualizing the tasks they want to complete they will get an overview of the tasks and time it will take roughly and what problems may arise. Put priorities to them and start working.
Build focus on task one at a time
Instead of jumbling on all the tasks at the same time and creating confusion agile teams must go with doing one task at a time and focus on completing it. We always must discipline ourselves and prioritize our tasks and not switch unless and until something urgent or important comes along.
Enjoy your work to the fullest
You perform well when you feel well. We many time lost time while we enjoy what we do. When teams work routinely on anything until it becomes a habit team members will start liking it after some time. When it becomes a habit they will follow the routine even without thinking of it. While working and enjoying they even lose track of time and overcome minor challenges without noticing. It helps in motivating for working.
Complete the task before moving to other
We many times keep things undone we may not know the reason why this happens but we do this a lot like we start emails that we never send, we develop products or features that we never take to market etcetera. This should always be avoided, plan by understanding and knowing the need of task we will be working on and complete it till finish and not almost done. Once completed then only move towards the next task.
Follow up and recheck schedule regularly
It is mostly not possible to always complete tasks as per the list prepared at starting so put a habit among team members to recheck the list and make the required changes to improve it after some interval. If changes are not required then still repeat the process at decided intervals as this habit will always help you in improving and managing your time wisely.
Agile has already taken time management in projects and organizations to a higher level reducing product-to-market time and improving efficiency but when team members follow the above habit it not only improves their performance but also boosts the organization's processes and environment of discipline.

When La Squadra Gets Sick
Inspired by the cold I currently have, here’s some headcanons.
Formaggio: he’s responsible enough to do his best isolating himself from the rest of the squad, but that’s also a tall ask when you’re all crammed together in the same space regularly. But when he does interact with the rest of the team while sick, he milks it. Can’t run errands, because he’s contagious. Doing chores? He’s too fatigued from having his body fight the cold. The team will find sweet revenge when he feels better.
Illuso: a bit of a drama queen when he has a cold, but he’s able to take care of himself for the most part. He doesn’t like being seen in such a vulnerable state, but he does enjoy being pampered, so if a teammate does a few things for him while he’s sick, he’s happy. If someone makes him soup and grabs him a box of tissues, he’s smug, but not as obnoxious as he would usually be; he knows not to look a gift horse in the mouth.
Prosciutto: he’s sick and not happy about it. At all. It’s not that he doesn’t expect to get sick, he knows it happens and it can’t completely be helped, but that doesn’t mean he enjoys being out of commission. He’s snappier than usual, and when the team does their usual things that get on his nerves, he can’t do much about it, which makes him more irritated. The best way to deal with a sick Prosciutto is to stay out of his way and maybe occasionally provide something nutritious and easy on the stomach for him; he’ll be grateful for that.
Pesci: this is one of the more responsible team members when sick. He does all the things you’re supposed to do when he feels ill: stays isolated as best he can, rests, takes supplements and vitamins, eats food that’s gentle on the stomach. The one issue is that he becomes quite a bit more absentminded when he comes down with a cold, which has led to him leaving soup in the microwave, or almost falling asleep in the tub. Gently herd him to where he needs to go and keep an eye on what he’s doing, and all will be well.
Melone: he takes health and wellness very seriously, so it’s honestly unusual for him to be sick. He’s up to date on his shots, and tends to be mindful of his diet and exercise, but some bad habits do leave his immune system susceptible at times. When he’s down for the count, he’s a bit dramatic, moaning about how nauseous he feels and complaining about his congestion. He’d insist upon cuddles, but he knows that it’s a bad idea, so he settles for hugging a pillow instead.
Ghiaccio: similar to Prosciutto, Ghiaccio hates being sick. He hates the helplessness, he hates having to sit around all day, he hates it. He swears he feels his muscles atrophy when he’s like this, wanting to work out and be on missions, but knowing that he can’t and there’s nothing he can do but wait it out makes him more annoyed than ever. However, give him some medicine and he’ll be agreeable to your suggestions of rest. White Album is also useful for any fevers he may develop.
Risotto: this is the guy who’s in denial about being sick. And if he didn’t look paler than usual and wasn’t drinking so much water, you’d believe him. He has to be dragged away from his office and practically threatened into rest, but once he’s in bed, he’s done. He’s just a lump on his bed, occasionally leaving it for necessities. He’s mildly out of it, but he appreciates the care shown by having food delivered to him and tissues left at his side. If you provide a cool, damp cloth, he may even smile.
Sorbet & Gelato: they’re getting sick together and we all know it. It honestly works out well for them, and they have something of a system in place: while one rests, the other will retrieve food, fetch more tissues, or coo over the other while wiping their forehead. They’ll shoo away anyone who tries to help, explaining that they don’t want anyone else sick because of them. They’re honestly a pretty cute sight together when sick.
