I wanted to mix it up a bit. Instead of blue art- blue hands of the artist. . . Actually, did you know that indigo is making a comeback? We switched over to synthetic indigo (terrible for environment) awhile ago and natural indigo is finally making a comeback. Real talk: I’m writing this caption while parked in the parent drop-off lane. My backseat is full of banter, permission slips getting signed, and “can we get Starbucks before school begins... in three minutes?” . . Relax, I don’t give them coffee. Starbucks sells those organic apple juices. I’m a mom, not a masochist. . . So in a couple minutes, I’ll blow kisses and yell very loudly that I love them as they turn shades of red. I might throw in a “make good choices” if they’re lucky. And then I drive to The Studio. Where I’ll stay, creating and building and painting and exploring and making, until it’s time to get my derrière back to school for pick ups. . . I love the rain. Absolutely love it. The whole earth gets washed, soaked, and renewed. I used to love watching The Magic School Bus rain episodes, standing inside my teepee and watching it rain, and gardening in the rain (weeds are much easier to pull out).
