Kai

Kai is the man with a plan when it comes to physical touch. He will always match your energy to the best of his ability!

He’s always open for it. Wether it be your arm wrapped around his or blatantly laying on top of him. He’s okay with all of it and rarely gets overwhelmed with what you feel like is smothering.

He specifically really enjoys the hugs you give him, where you’re nuzzled into his shoulder and your arms are wrapped tightly around him. he admired the security it brings him and makes him feel so dorky. For him, he enjoys picking you up just to hold you dramatically. Or smothering your face in kisses.

It surprises him at first, not expecting you to feel the same way as him with things such as physical touch. But once he understands, he craves it and gets all dramatic over it.

He will never be satisfied until you are basically crawling into his skin (not really).

But without your touch, he gets all upset, looking like a kicked puppy and he WILL in fact whine to you about how you aren’t close enough to him. And if he doesn’t get his way, by golly, there’s gonna be a fire.

Everything you do will always send him back, no matter how long you’ve been together. He is crushing on you so hard and will let you know every minute of the day.

Lloyd

Touch was something that was always fairly new to Lloyd.

He never received much as a child, when it was received, it wasn’t very positive affection.

When you started expressing your love for physical touch, you noticed all the small things he seemed to do because if it.

At first, he’d flinch when you moved a little too quick or anything. Physically tense up when you’d wrap your arms around him so suddenly. And he couldn’t bring himself to tell you that he enjoyed your affection, but didn’t know how to receive it.

Slowly but surely through your reassurance, he loosened up and started to learn that this was positive attention, and it’s something that he would eventually look forward to!

He was no longer startled with your big hugs, sudden kisses amongst his face, and other acts of affection you were so happy to give. It became routine, and now he’d be fairly upset if you were to lack in your affection department.

In all, Lloyd is a broken child who just needs to be reconnected with himself sometimes. He soon learns from you that he can relax and enjoy this. He isn’t just the green ninja, he’s Lloyd. Little Lloyd Garmadon who loves his hugs and kisses from his lover. And he’s slowly starting to thank you for healing his inner child.

Morro

Much like Lloyd, Morro never really received affection growing up. Nor could he receive it when he was, well, dead.

But soon enough, with many changes, forgiveness, and a physical form. He was able to receive such things, things you were over the moon about!

He’s fairly awkward with affection, and it’s just something so foreign to him that it’s hard to become so used to it like you are.

He doesn’t despise it, by any means, in all honesty it makes him feel all warm to see you so joyous about wanting to show him affection. But at first, he was in severe denial about it all. He’d reject your advances, and even had gotten a bit aggressive with it. Which he now apologizes for, and he’ll do his best to express his admiration for it when he can, in time. It takes long to heal from what he once had been.

The boy grew quite fond of you early on, and admired how you tried to express your affections to him even when he was a ghost. When he finally received his human form again, you wrapped your arms around him so tightly, he could barely breathe. (Which was also new to him once more).

Though he enjoys the affection, it can get overwhelming sometimes. When his frustrations get the better of him, he will express that he just can’t be touched in that moment. That he’ll return later on to apologize and attempt to hug and kiss you as you do him.

And it’ll get you every time! No matter how fussy he was, or how upset he had made you. His apologies feel so thorough and thoughtful that you can forget what you were mad about so easily. Morro deserves the world and more, and that’s what you’re gonna give him.

Bentho

Benthomaar was someone who would always let his curiosity get the better of him. And from a young age, he was always curious. About things that matter, things that don’t matter. Things that don’t hold much importance to him, and things that he holds closely to him.

Currently, He was curious as to how you’re so enthusiastic and happy to express affection to someone such as him. Of course, he does his best to understand you and your sweet advances towards him.

He’d get caught up in thinking too harshly of himself, wondering if he deserved your attention. His skin surely wasn’t the softest to cuddle into or kiss, nor was he that understanding of how life was like above the surface like many like you. But all of that made you the curious one. Curious as to how this cinnamon roll was kept from you all your life.

Bentho was such a joy to know and be around, and it made you so happy to hug and kiss him so sweetly. Even though you knew he wasn’t sure if he deserved all of it. Or any of it, in fact.

But in time, he learned that it was something he deserved. Comfort, that is. He seemed to break through his barricade of awkwardness and denial and thoroughly enjoyed what you expressed to him.

He never finds it overwhelming, and if he did, he wouldn’t ever tell you in fear that it would upset you. You’re a treasure to him, and how you express your love and admiration will always leave him in awe of how great you are. He adores you too much to be bothered by anything more.

Mind focused, guard up, jaw clenched.

Your fists guard your face as you point your stance towards Jay, your sparring partner for today. He copies your movements as the two of you circle each other, waiting to see who will make the first move.

Moments pass before you get fed up with the inaction, snapping your hand out towards Jay’s wrist. He yelps as you snatch his wrist, struggling in your grasp as you trip him with your knee and circle your arm around his neck, enacting a choke as he squirms. Seconds after, you feel him tapping your arm frantically.

“Nice,” Cole comments from the sidelines as you release the redheaded ninja. “That was smooth.”

“Thanks,” you say, standing up and offering a hand to Jay. He grabs it, allowing you to pull him up.

“Ugh, I’m still not used to your style,” Jay says as he stands.

You shrug with a chuckle. “It might be a little different from what you guys learned, but don’t worry. Once you get the hang of it for yourself, it’ll be easier to defend.”

“Yep, it’s quite the simple style,” Cole adds as the three of you start stretching.

The three of you continue to chat throughout your cooldown when the sound of the monastery doors opening catches your attention.

Kai walks out along with Benthomaar – the former pushing Bentho forward. You smile as they approach your group, noting that Bentho seems to be a little tenser than normal.

“Hey, guys,” you greet with a grin, eyeing them both. “What’s up?”

“Hey,” Kai replies, hand on Benthomaar’s back as he pushes him towards you. “Bentho’s got something to ask you. Come on, guys, Lloyd’s challenging us to beat his high score again!”

“That little – come on, Cole! We can’t let that happen!” Jay yells as he tugs Cole into the monastery. Kai pats Benthomaar’s shoulder a few times before following the other two inside.

“Hi, Bentho,” you greet, smiling at him softly. “What’s up? Is everything okay? You seem kind of tense.”

“I – um…” he trails off, dropping his eyes to the ground.

“Kai said you have a question?” you prompt, keeping your tone soft as to not discourage him.

“Yes,” he replies, finally lifting his gaze to meet yours. “I…was wondering…there’s a place near my home that I would like to show you…if that’s all right, of course. You don’t have to, if you would rather not. I just thought-“

“I would love to, Bentho,” you answer, grinning.

He pauses in the middle of his nervous rant, blue eyes gazing at you with hints of excitement as he perks up. “Really?”

“Yeah! That sounds like fun!”

“I am glad you think so! I was thinking we could leave about an hour before sunset, if that’s all right?”

“Sounds good to me!”

“Fantastic! Please meet me by the docks before sunset. Oh, and make sure you have your wetsuit and breathing gear.”

You nod in response. “Sounds like a plan. I’ll meet you there!”

…

You should really come out here more often.

A soft sigh escapes you as you sit down on the edge of the dock, setting your fins next to you. You take a moment to dip your feet into the water, grateful for the quiet moment.

You had arrived a little bit early, just so you could get all of your gear on and ready. All you have to do now is put your fins and helmet on, but those can wait for a little while. Besides, the cool water feels nice on your feet.

The sun remains above the horizon, beginning to sink a little bit. You wonder just how gorgeous the sunset must be around here.

Which reminds you – just what does Benthomaar want to show you? He’d never really asked you to accompany him like this before. Not that you mind - in fact, you're quite excited to spend the rest of the day with him. Things have been so busy lately that you were beginning to think that you'd never get the chance to hang out with him.

Shaking the thought off, you decide to just wait and see. After all, Sensei Wu had been nagging you all to enjoy the present more often.

Moments later, a flurry of blurred motion beneath the water catches your attention. Seconds before it breaches the surface, you find yourself relaxing slightly upon realizing that it’s just Benthomaar.

“Hey, Bentho,” you greet as his head pops above the water. His eyes widen slightly when he sees you, but he grins nonetheless.

“Hello!” he replies. “I’m glad that you’re here. Are you ready?”

“Yeah, just let me get the rest of my stuff on,” you answer, lifting up your legs so that you can pull your fins on. Once that’s done, you pull your helmet on and ensure that all of the necessary breathing mechanisms are secure before you slip into the water alongside Bentho.

You shudder as the water instantly scares away the warmth in your body, eliciting a wave of goosebumps across your skin.

“Okay, follow me!” Benthomaar instructs, immediately diving down. You do the same, eager to see what he has in store for you.

You fall a few feet behind him, taking a moment to appreciate the view around you. The water is a vibrant shade of blue, surrounding you wholly. Benthomaar instantly swims ahead, guiding you throughout the environment that he knows so well.

As you continue, you begin to realize why Nya loves coming to swim over here. Now, the water begins to clear, with the bottom growing near. Fish dart between the reefs and vegetation on the floor. You notice that the ocean floor begins to slope gently downwards at one point, falling into an eerily darker part.

Benthomaar continues forward, not going any deeper thankfully. The two of you swim for what seems to be roughly five minutes or so. Still, that doesn’t really bother you considering how peaceful it is down here.

Soon enough, the ground begins sloping upward gently until it hits a steep slope, forming a seamount.

Bentho dives for the side of the mountain, with you close behind him. As you get closer, you find that there’s a cave leading deeper into the mountain. Benthomaar makes his way inside, guiding you through the dark terrain. Eventually, the two of you approach a wall.

Benthomaar pushes off the ground to boost himself up, so you do. A few seconds later, you breach the surface, now treading water alongside your friend.

“Whoa,” you mumble, glancing around the cavern. Benthomaar hoists himself over the edge, so you do the same.

“It’s not much further,” he states. “Are you doing okay? Would you like to rest for a moment?”

“I’m okay to continue. Let me just get my fins off,” you say, taking a second to pull your fins off. You unclip a bungee cord from your harness before hooking both of your fins on and slinging the middle of the cord over your shoulder. “Okay, lead on.”

Benthomaar obliges with a small nod, leading you into a rocky tunnel.

“I used to come here quite often,” he notes, voice soft as the two of you proceed. “I don’t think the other Merlopians know about this place. But I’ve heard that it’s sacred to the First Spinjitzu Master.”

“I wonder why,” you mumble, glancing at the walls. Patchy areas of the hallway glow a neon blue – most likely the result of bioluminescent flora.

Soon enough, the cavern opens into a wider room – one that takes your breath away.

It’s an underground waterfall, the water and plant life all the same neon blue color. The waterfall itself spills into a small pool, which appears to be relatively shallow. Scattered about the area are hundreds of plants – all of which are of varying species, yet are all glowing that same blue color.

“Bentho...” you mumble, trailing off as you soak in the surrounding cave. “This is beautiful!”

“I’m glad you think so!” he replies, following you over to the pool underneath the waterfall. The two of you sit near the edge, both dipping your feet into the water. There’s some mild backsplash from the waterfall, but it’s not horrible.

You sigh in relief upon letting your sore feet dangle in the cool water, rolling the sleeves of your wetsuit up slightly. You dip your hands in and splash a bit of water on your face, causing you to shiver slightly.

Once your hands fall to your lap, you notice Benthomaar staring at your hands. Intrigued, you prompt: “What’s on your mind?”

“Your skin,” Benthomaar notes, pointing to the exposed area of your wrist. “I though humans did not have any bumps. Why do you have them?”

Upon closer inspection, you realize what he’s talking about. “Oh, these are called goosebumps. They appear on humans when we get cold or spooked.”

“Really? How interesting,” he mumbles, studying them for a moment longer before leaning away, seemingly satisfied with your answer. “Humans are fascinating!”

You giggle, nodding in response. “I guess so.”

There’s a moment of silence between the two of you. Instead of thinking of something to say, you simply gaze at the falling water.

However, Benthomaar seems a bit antsy. You notice that his hands are fidgeting quite a bit, and his stare is averted to the left.

“Is everything okay, Bentho?” you wonder, hoping he’ll ease up.

“Yes, of course. It’s just...” he trails off, sighing. You wait patiently, deciding to give him a moment. “I, well...I brought you here for another reason, too.”

“Really? Why?”

He sighs, but then a determined expression appears. Bentho turns to face you, his light blue eyes studying you with a hint of nervousness. “Well, to be honest...I haven’t been able to make sense of what I’ve been feeling – well, that is until I spoke to Kai earlier this morning.”

“What do you mean? How have you been feeling?” you wonder, turning to face him.

“Um...well, whenever I’ve been around you lately...I’ve felt nervous. But also very happy, yet at the same time...mildly intimidated. Though, one thing I knew for certain: I wanted to get to know you better. And it wasn’t until Kai taught me about crushes that I started to understand.”

No way. Benthomaar has a crush on you?

“He recommended that I simply tell you, so that’s what I came here to do. But, I can’t help but feel...apprehensive, I suppose. This is all very new to me, and I also don’t want to make you uncomfortable.”

You giggle slightly, slipping your hand across Benthomaar’s. His eyes widen as he gazes down at you.

“Bentho, I like you too,” you mumble, smiling softly. “Thank you.”

With that, you lean up a bit in order to press a quick kiss to Bentho’s cheek. It’s quick, and mildly tastes of saltwater, but it does the trick. He notably tenses beside you, and remains stiff as you pull away with a small smile.

“Was that okay?” you question.

He stares at you in mild shock for a moment before a contagious smile breaks out on his face. “Y-Yes, that was nice.”

You chuckle slightly, leaning your head against his shoulder and taking his hand into yours. “Thank you for bringing me here, Bentho. We should do this more often.”

“You mean it?”

“Of course I do,” you answer, taking a moment to squeeze his hand. “And next time, I’ll show you my secret spot. How does that sound?”

“Exciting!” he admits, sky blue eyes lighting up.

“Good,” you mumble, the two of you standing up. “Now, how about you show me around?”

╰╮Dandelions , Benthomaar x GN Reader.

You sat on a grassy hill, and there were dandelions all around you. You took a deep breath of air. The wind whipped your hair around, as it had for years now. Your eyes looked out over the fields, where the sun glistened brightly and the birds sang in harmony. It was one of your favorite places to be, then you heard footsteps. You turned around to see who it was.

It was Bentho.

You've seen him come by to the monastery a couple of times and those times he would just come and chat with you. He's always so friendly and nice. So, he surprised you when he walked up to you, smiling. He didn't even say anything but he just smiled that bright smile of his and said “Hi!” He sat down next to you, his tail swishing behind him happily. His smile made you smile too. His blue skin/scales contrasted greatly with his black hair that fell perfectly on his forehead, framing his face. His big blue eyes were looking into yours with kindness.

"What brings you here?" He asked. There was a mischievous grin across his face like usual. But something about it didn't seem right. You furrowed your brows. You shrugged. "Dunno I just… needed some fresh air." Then you giggled slightly. "Though this is pretty amazing scenery isn't it!" You leaned back on your hands, looking at the sky. Bentho nodded slowly, staring at your face with what seemed to be a hint of longing. His cheeks turned red. He looked at the ground beneath him, there was a dandelion poking through. He gently pulled on the plant to pull it up. He held it up. An idea then popped up into his head as he began to pull dandelions out of the ground.

You had your eyes closed, enjoying the breeze. Not paying much attention to what the Merlopian was doing. When suddenly there was a weight on your head. You opened your eyes and saw a dandelion crown resting on top of your head. You lifted up a hand to touch it lightly. It felt soft and fluffier than you imagined. You laughed softly at it. You blushed at the male besides you. "Thought it might be cool," he said. His voice sounded embarrassed. "Close your eyes." You told him. He looked at you confused, "Why?" "Just close 'em`!" You giggled. He stared at you and then he softened, closing his own eyes. "Okay." You smiled, before starting to pull out the dandelions that were besides you.

After a moment of silence he spoke, "Can I open them now?" He asked, his tail wagging behind him once more. You laughed, "Not yet!" You told him, pulling out two dandelions from the ground beside you. Bentho flinched a bit when he felt a weight on his head. "Ok! Open them!" You said cheerfully. He did so, opening his eyes. There sat a flower crown, similar to the one on your head, except it had a smaller one in the middle. He smiled brightly, his tail wagging faster. A warm smile formed on his face. You giggled again at it. “There’s one for you too.” You told him. You let out a squeak as Bentho tackled you to the ground, causing a large pile of flowers to bloom.

Both of you burst out laughing and you both stared at each other in delight for a while. Eventually, Bentho stopped laughing, his tails still flicking behind him rapidly. His face got a bit red, you could see it in his cheeks, and he looked away bashfully. With a chuckle, you leaned closer to him, so that your foreheads were touching. Your lips were only centimeters apart. He stared into your eyes, his gaze unblinking and unwavering. The sun cast an orange glow across his scales. His eyes were mesmerizing, they reminded you of the ocean. You couldn’t help but stare back at him, entranced. As you did, he leaned in closer, slowly raising his hand and cupping your face.

He brushed his thumb along your cheek and then rested his hand on your chin. He was still staring deeply into your eyes, his pupils dilated in awe. He brought his face closer towards yours, as though he was going to kiss you. You felt your heart skip and jump wildly in your chest. All the thoughts you’d ever thought of him flooded back to you. All of his kindness. His gentle nature. Everything.

You knew you wouldn’t mind if he kissed you.

How would they ask you out for the first time? {Ninjago Addition}

~ Lloyd Garmadon ~

He was teaching you new tricks he had learned, smiling proudly, but yet he had been more bashful with his ears red, which was unusual for him. This moment is interrupted to him being a hero, yet again, "We can continue later on, yeah." He says out loud to you but stopping at the door for a short second longer. "Let's call it a date, how about that?" Rushing down the hall after with a boyish grin on his expression.

~ Kai Smith ~

Of course, he had been the most confident about it. Wrapping an arm around your shoulders to pull you closer, reaching a hand out with your favourite flower handed to you. The infamous grin on his lips and a raised brow. "If you're free anytime soon, I could take you out. Hmm? What you say."

~ Cole Brookstone ~

Taking both your hands on his wishing on your whole attention as his face warmed up, "I've been thinking for a while.." Pausing as he himself needed to take a breath before continuing eye contact. "We should go out? Sometime in the upcoming free time, if you want." Laughing nervously, squeezing your hands carefully knowing his own strength.

He had decided to go somewhat 'simple' with asking you out. There had been silence for a while with only you two standing on the deck of the ship. "I believe we should go on a date." Sounding more like statement than a question, deep down he was too nervous to even make eye contact at that very moment

~ Jay Walker ~

Simple. Simple as he walked up to you with a whole handful of flowers, chocolates, and a teddy. Wearing a black suit and a tie smiling sweetly standing there looking handsome as ever, "I hope you consider a date with me, on Friday at 6pm? I'll pick you up." Cocking his head to the side feeling as if a weight has been lifted off his shoulders.

~ Nya Smith ~

Not only did she have a speciality with water and machine crafting, using what she knows of her water powers to write out her date proposals for when you joined her along the walk down the beach for a moment to relax. Doing her movements as a dark blush appeared on her face before looking back at you. "So?" She muttered nervously.

~ Morro ~

Often, was he grumpy, he seemed oddly less unpleased this evening. "Let's go out, I'll pick you up at 6." Crossed arms and a head turned to the side, not wanting to look weak in front of you, a scowl to be miss-matching how he actually felt. Especially since he thought so highly of you again, enough to even take you out.

~ Skylor ~

A few days before, she previously asked you to show up at the restaurant, saying she wanted you to try out a new recipe. When making sure she was the one who served your table, giving you a playful wink before leaving you alone. There laid a paper next to the bowl which was placed in front of you, which read, 'Taking you out on Friday at 6 xoxo Skylor.'

Knowing very well that you like, so she took time to get your favourite chocolate, which had been placing it in your hands with a simple tiny smile on her metal face. "I like you. Does thursday work for you?" Feeling as if her harddisk is about to overload.

There, he stood with flowers he had collected from the water searfice before meeting you. Toothy sharp grin with a blue soft blush as he voided eye contact, scratching the back of his neck and swallowing down the nervousness creeping up his features. "Hey, uhm... Would you want to maybe.. uh, go out? With me.. maybe." he chuckled quietly.

BENTHOMAAR + HUMAN S/O

i'm gonna say this takes place a couple of months after seabound? during the time benthomaar decided to stay at monastery.

he's always been a kind and generous person; it's very likely he will go the extra mile for his significant other and be glad to do so.

as a merlopian tradition, it's common for the said species to continuously gift their partner as a way of courting (he likely does this before and during the relationship).

so bentho often spoils you with things he finds in the sea: such as pretty seashells, colorful pieces of coral, a piece of feldspars stone, and even a pearl once.

he always presents these things with an almost bashful look on his face, since the tradition is very intimate and he takes it very seriously (always proceed to grin the happiest grin when you accept the things he gives).

and in general, he's a huge giver, so it's sorta comes with him like a package deal

he literally doesn't mind that you're a human! some seamen might shown an indifference to the said kind, but benthomaar has alwats been curious of the land-dwellers. plus he adores you all the same and aims to learn more about you.

he'll ask about human culture with genuine interest, holding a look of child-like wonder and intrigue at everything you tell him.

it's more than likely that during dates, he'll ask things ("what do humans like to do?" "do you have royalty?" "what are your customs like?")

speaking of dates ー he loves going to the beach.

he'll never get tired of it; please take him there, bentho would literally fall deeper in love with you.

aquariums would be a close second, but that's only after you explain to him why his friends are being held captive :(

you both probably get banned from at least one after benthomaar decided to swim inside one of the tanks though (he apologizes several times afterwards).

affection is also an extremely important thing for him, so he never initiates it without asking you first.

he literally gives you inuit kisses so frequently its adorable (for goodbyes, greetings, to comfort you, etc.)

he's scared to truly kiss you sometimes because he doesn't want his sharp teeth to harm you in the process (benthomaar wouldn't forgive himself if he were to ever hurt you, even if not intentionally).

it's why the ones he gives you are very soft and tender!!

bentho always flushes some degree of blue afterwards too .. oml he is so precious

sometimes he might say "i wish father could've met you" or "my father would've loved you" and that's when you need to give him a long hug tbh

he'll occasionally mention merlopia to you, going into description about all the sights he think you would love.

"in a certain part of the year, there's this collection of coral that glows really bright ー i hope i can show you someday."

definitely talks about you to any sea life that'll listen (from crabs to seahorses or even turtles)

they can't even bother to hate it because benthomaar always speaks so fondly of you, they just know you must be a good person.

if you don't know how to swim? he'll teach you (will stop whenever you want and never takes you anywhere deeper than calf length).

honestly... who'd literally pass up the chance to have themselves in his arms

even after he takes over kingly duties, benthomaar tries his best to see you when he can (or kindly asks a guard to deliver letters to you).

just wait until he learns about underwater cameras because he would never stop taking photos to give to you.

he's literally such a sweetheart i love him

All of this happens before the resurrecting Wojira thing and Benthomaar becoming king. King Trimaar is still alive and so is Kalmaar (unfortunately).

"Love, I can't let you go out like this!"

You groaned in response as Benthomaar, your beloved and caring boyfriend pushed you back in bed like some toddler that searched for some snack at 3:00 am. It wasn't that bad! Just a few coughs and a bit of temperature but nothing deadly...

"You are burning! We can't go pick corals if you're sick. You're gonna stay here until you are well again, end of discussion." He scolded you and tucked you into bed. You pouted your lips at him and crossed your arms.

"But-" "No buts. Stay here, I'm gonna get you chicken soup." You sighed as dramatically as possible and he just smiled at you. Before he could leave though, you grabbed his hand.

"I don't want you to go. Can you stay? Please?" You asked with the best puppy eyes you could pull out. You internally cringed at how cliché your current situation was.

“I'm not gonna leave, okay? I'll get you some medications and soup. I'll be back real soon," he reassured you and pat your head. He can see that you were a bit disappointed that he was leaving you alone. "Y/n, let me take care of you. I want to help you." He smiled the brightest and most adorable smile you've ever seen in your entire life and he kissed your forehead ever so gently. You melted at his affectionate gestures. Gosh, what did you do to have such a perfect lover?

He left you and went out the ridiculously huge doors of his room to get you the chicken soup and meds.

About 20 minutes later, he came back with said items on a tray, plus a glass of water. He sat next to next to you and took out the medicine and gavd it to you. You sat up and ate it with the water.

You were about to take the soup, but a certain prince took it before you could.

You raised an eyebrow at him and he smiled at you. "Say aah~ !" He took a spoonful of the soup and held it up to your mouth, waiting for you to eat it (drink it?).

Your face reddened and you tried to hide your blush with your hand. "Bentho, I can eat it by myself! You don't need to do all of this for me..."

"Of course I do. I want to feed you, wether you're fully capable of doing it yourself or not." Could he get any more adorable?

You complied, rather bashfully, and he fed you the soup.

Once you were done, he put the bowl on the tray and placed it on the bedside table.

"You know you could've just rang the kitchen and they would have come to give you the things." He chuckled and answered you, "I know, but I wanted to do everything by myself for you."

"Wait, you made the soup?" You asked, surprised.

"Of course. Why are you surprised?"

"Since when do you know how to cook?"

"There's a whole lot of stuff I can do that you don't know about."

He giggled at the impressed look displayed all over your face. He took your hand and intertwined your fingers, before resting his face in the crook of your neck.

"I love you, Y/n." You could feel him smile against your neck.

"I love you more, Prince Benthomaar of the underwater kingdom Merlopia." You giggled, taking your other hand and playing with his hair.

You stopped when you realized something.

"Hey! You're gonna get sick too if you stay too close to me!" You tried to move yourself away from him, but he hugged your waist and layed on the bed, taking you with him.

"Hmm, so what? You're also going to take care of me, won't you?" He laughed and you just blushed furiously.

"I mean, yeah but-" You tried to reason, but he cut you off and buried his face in your neck, once more.

"Then I have no reason to worry about me getting sick." He turned you around, and kissed you sweetly on the lips. "I just want you by my side."

"I'm always by your side, Bentho." You tittered and he smiled that cute smile of his.

"I meant physically."

"I know, I just wanted to mess with you."

He chuckled, and you kissed his cheek.

"I love you."

"You already said that"

"And I'll say it again." He pinched your cheeks and beamed at you. "I love you so, so much Y/n. More than I could put into words."

You snickered and hugged him before replying, "As do I, my love."

The next day came, and you woke up to Benthomaar sitting up, wildly coughing and sneezing.

You sighed. "I told you you shouldn't have been staying too close to me."

He looked at your awake figure and smiled sheepishly.

He was so sweet and you loved him, but man did he need to start listening to you more.
