I went to a thrift store today and for 20 bucks I got a box of Topps 1992 stadium club hockey cards. They may have been sealed packs but I just had to know what cards I had (I’m sure collectors are mad at me already but I wasn’t going to sell them anyway because I don’t have any cards that are that old in my collection as most of my cards are newer series ones).
Among the ones I got some notable ones were a Mark Messier Rangers card, Patrick Roy Canadeiens card, Sergei Fedorov Red Wings card, Claude Lemieux Devils card, Mario Lemieux Penguins card, two cards of Gretzky when he was on the Kings, Keith Tkachuk when he was on the Jets, and some Nordique cards, North Stars, and Whalers. I got cards of every single team (there were 24 at the time).
with how the splat 3 fanbase is acting about splatfests, you'd think there's something real and tangible on the line and not like, superficial bragging rights and a few extra snails. idk why people are sitting here and getting angry at shiver as if she's a real person who has any actual will to do anything and not just pixels on a screen, especially when there are legitimate issues with how splatfests are designed and run in splat3, and that's the devs and nintendo's fault, not shiver. she's not real and she can't do anything to you. and i've seen way more complaining about the concept of "toxic shiver stans who always pick shiver and ruin it for everyone" than i have any actual evidence that these kind of people exist on a mass scale. it really feels like that kind of person is a guy that the fanbase made up to be mad at every time they lose. i agree that there are huge problems with splat 3 but the moment someone lays the blame on shiver they throw all credibility out the window. it's not shiver, there's no evil cult of shiver stans manipulating the splatfests, and don't get me started on how people are talking about the asian playerbase with these splatfests.
Beginning to make my way through Sidney Crosby's NHL career so far. Going to be watching all Penguins games starting from his debut. Whatever game footage I can find anyway (if anyone knows where I can watch the first game Penguins v Devils Oct 5/2005 in full...please do let me know! Can't find it on YouTube so far).
I'd like to begin by saying...I, for no particular reason, just love that Christina Aguilera sang the anthem during Sid's debut game. It just gives me joy 😄
My fancy new music player just arrived and I am oh so very happy with it! A *very* classic look to it obviously but my god if that doesn't add all sorts of charm to it 🥰
But it's a 6-in-1 machine that plays cd, vinyl, Bluetooth, cassette (compartment for that one is on the side alas), auxiliary, fm radio, and supports headphones! So obviously the sound quality isn't gonna be like shaking my walls with bass anytime soon, but as long as the music is legible and I can hear it clearly that's more than good enough for me. im not exactly in the market for something that I'm going to be partying with anytime soon... Or ever if we're being honest dhejdkdjdhd
(bonus video of me testing out the phono function and playing my very first vinyl ever, cause I havent listened to one since I was like 5 or something when my dad used to listen to them all the time dhdjsksjshs)
