So my old beta died a few eeeks ago. Today I set up the take again for those Cambodian beta. I wanted a Buddha statue in the tank and to have a somewhat simplistic setup. I’m thinking of calling him Zen I was just looking at him eating for lights out and the pearlescent coloring in the tail is mesmerizing.

I sent an ask a while ago about green water that I can't get rid of. Right now, I can't afford a water sterilizer, but I do have a pretty new tank that's not in use. Would I be able to just switch my betta into a new clean tank with fresh gravel/decorations?

I wouldn't until the tank is cycled. If you just throw your betta and stuff into the new tank, you run the risk of crashing your cycle, and potentially harming your betta. You can totally move him into a new tank, but cycle it first!

Get new gravel (**EDIT** Just re-read your ask, yes, continue with the new gravel, and you can get new decorations if you want) and soak your decorations in boiling water (or as hot as the decor can stand without melting it) and let it for air dry for a hot minute. If you just move all the gravel and decorations into the new tank, you'll just transfer the single cell algae into the new tank and make the same issue.

Once again, cycle the new tank first, other wise you run the risk of a crashed cycle and harming your fish.
