Shoutout to the guy at the concert i just went to who told my brother and I he loved us and we've been great, then let us get in front of him(to basically the front row) just in time for my favorite song that I had been talking about for the bands whole set

Oh Darlin What Have I Done - The White Buffalo
Oh darlin, darlin what have I done?
Now I do my talking with a gun
And blood will spill into the gutters
And it will stain the morning sun
Ooh, oh tell me what the hell I've done.
Can I stop at one? Or have I just begun?
Ain't No Sunshine - Bill Withers (Geoff Castellucci cover is my fave)
Ain’t no sunshine when she’s gone
It’s not warm when she’s away.
Ain’t no sunshine when she’s gone
And she’s always gone too long
Anytime she goes away.
Bury Me With My Guns - Bobaflex
Bury me with my guns on
So when I reach the other side
I can show him what it feels like to die
Bury me with my guns on
So when I'm cast out of the sky
I can shoot the devil right between the eyes
The castles falling down
Beneath the deep blue sea
They've seen my face before
Will they remember me?
I scream the words out loud
Our souls are finally free
Its time to open up our eyes
Blood in the Water - Shaman's Harvest
Well damn your stubbornness and damn your pride
To hell with your truths and heavenly lies
Blood in the water
Blood in the sand
Hounds of hell been doggin' this man
Put my grave next to daddy's stone
If I lay dead 'fore I make it home
Lord it's been so long cuz I've been runnin'
With a smokin' heart and a broken gun
Bullet In My Hand - Redlight King
I got a cold stare, the wound's still there
But there ain't much left to bleed
A short fuse that I still use
I'm my own worst enemy
Stare at the faces I once knew lined up just to bury me
There's a long black car that's waitin' to leave
But right now
There's someone looking out for me
I came out of the darkness
With a bullet in my hand
I got one more shot at livin'
I'm lucky that I can
Cause I got a little roughed up
Yeah I really got fucked up
I came out of the darkness
With a bullet in my hand
I am making a little mixtape/CD/playlist for Jason Todd, pls enjoy, also because I am an extra bitch I wrote out my reasonings for including some of the songs and how I think they relate to his character under the cut!
Bobaflex - Bury Me With My Guns On
This song is about dying, then murdering both the Devil for generally being shit and God for not doing what was in His power to stop the evils he created. I can absolutely imagine Jason listening to this and interpreting Joker as the Devil and Batman as God cause like "You could have stopped the suffering, you could have stopped the screams" is basically 1 for 1 what Jason tells Bruce about how he should have handled the Joker.
System of a Down - Revenga
"My revenge, is yours for the taking" <- this bit in the chorus is like friggin perfect for the way that Jason set up his revenge in Under the Red Hood but like it needs to be someone else who does the deed and actually takes it.
Bloodywood -Dana Dan
It's an unbelievably baller "beat the shit out of anyone who abuses women" anthem. 'Nough said.
Korn - Throw Me Away
Vibes for how Jason has felt at many points abandoned.
Suicidal Tendencies - Institutionalized
I just have to assume that this guy:
Would find this song highly relatable.
Lemon Demon - When He Died
So, drastic turn for the goofy I know, but I really feel like this fits the tone of Jason joking about his own death. His death and resurrection were full of some high weirdness, which Jason in turns leans into and denies as being overblown.
I can 100% see him choosing to sing this at Kareoke and belting out "And when they cleared the charred wood from the ground
Inside they found a painting of a clown.
I'd painted it when I was just a child
But scrawled upon the back was exactly when... I... DIED!!!"
Pantera - Walk
Vibes for how the Red Hood carries himself, nothin more than that.
Jello Biafra with the Melvins - Lessons in What Not to Become
Jason has had so many horrible role models in terms of parenting! He dealt with abusers, his mother succumbing to addiction, and the last one about puritanical codes and drowning like Captain Ahab while the people around you jump ship could totally be about Bruce. Absolutely I think Jason would echo that sentiment of "I'm a fuck up just like you, but it's better than not trying at all!"
Sleep Token - Blood Sport (from the room below)
110% in my mind this is Jason singing this song to Bruce.
"I'm still your favorite regret,
You're still my weapon of choosing"
It's just... it's perfect. Ow, my FEELS.
Korn - Start the Healing
Jason is above all, trying. It's not easy going and does not mean trying to be what others want him to be, but he's trying to heal, even still.
