The funniest thing about liking All for One is realizing everything people think he is- It’s all built on some facade. Hawk even makes it clear how hard it is to get ANYTHING on the guy. AFO over here scrubbing clean anything that might reveal who he is to continue his Demon Lord persona.

It just ends up making you realize that this guy is only happy when can pretend to be something else. A big boogieman that everyone is afraid of but if doesn’t have that you see more at his true self. Desperate, angry, and spiteful as loses control.

As Hawk questioned why he doesn’t have enough hate so think something missing in his soul but he doesn’t KNOW that OFA is his brothers quirk. He clearly hate All Might and Ujiko implies he has a lot of hatred in his heart he wish was freed from. But ‘hatred’ is an emotion he is suppressing.

Well we seeing it now! Mister cosplayer losing his facade as gets younger and more volatile to become more hateful and spiteful. And I am eager to return to the battle of All Might and All for One.

Edit: AFO suppresses his hatred thus making a void in himself that he fills by cosplaying a demon lord and I can’t get over it.

Just a few edited photos of my Fairyland Chic Line Rou from 2016, wearing his Pyramid Head/Boogieman cosplay. I really wanted to finish my Triad Toys Eva Bubble Headed Nurse cosplay outfit last year, then this year I was hopeful as well, but I didn't! I suck! Oh well, it's not like I can't try anytime of the year. I just idiotically obsessed over taking photos of my Rou and a BHN on Halloween... because I get obsessed over stupid things. DX

My BFF sculpted the head for me back in 2010, I made the apron skirt, giant-sword-knife and gloves in 2016. Took me a while to finish those, so I guess it'll take me another six years to make the Nurse's outfit. >_>;;

Rant/ramble about Phoebe since she's been on my mind a lot:

( Disclaimer: this is not very well written because I'm in a bad headspace right now, but I wrote it anyway because I needed to get it off my chest. I'm also really nervous that people will get the wrong idea and assume I like a young character for creepy reasons. I want to assure you that's not the case. If anyone was doing weird stuff with the Afterlife kids, I would be the fist to vibe check them to Oblivion. )

Why did my brain decide to latch on to Phoebe and make her my favourite character? Well, it's probably because I like stories about kids going on supernatural adventures in general, so combine that trope with GB and it's a winning formula in my book. Plus, the reason GB resonates so much with kids is because it's about using science & teamwork to combat the supernatural! Instead of telling kids they shouldn't be afraid because the boogieman isn't real, it acknowledges that they have active imaginations and gives them the tools to fight the boogieman. So yes I know people have their reservations about giving a little girl a proton pack but I say go for it! She's taking that concept and actually putting it in a movie which is cool!

Not to mention the fact that she's so frickin cute. I was already attached to the character before we even knew her name or what she looked like but when we saw pictures of her for the first time my brain went BABY!!! I wanna wrap her in a blanket. She looks so much like Egon too ;_; I wonder how much of that will play into her character development? Will it be a situation like Young Frankenstein where she struggles with her grandfather's legacy? Will she find some balance between living up to expectations and... IDK, self acceptance? Self-fulfilment? I hope so. I really hope she's well written and likeable.

Yeah I know I'm the guy who made up an evil version of her but that's because I want to see her overcome her inner demons! I like Phobia but what I really want to see is Phoebe kicking her ass!

The problem is that Afterlife isn't even out yet. I can't watch her on the big screen, I can't watch clips of her outside of the trailer, I can't read comics with her in them, there's no fanfiction about her, she has no merch, I cant even read the trivia section on her Wiki page. She doesn't even HAVE a Wiki page.

Don't get me wrong, I love seeing all the fan content out there, fan art, cosplays, roleplays, etc. You guys are all amazing. I just wish we had more official stuff, because for the most part, if I want to see something specific with Phoebe I have to make it myself. I'm happy to do that, but it takes a lot of effort! That's hard to do when I'm tired and depressed and I just want to see the funny ghost girl. I know I have to be patient and wait until November, but it's hard.

The Nightmare Before Christmas but...on Broadway....? 

((OOC: I, like most people, think Nightmare would make a fantastic stage show if done right. Those who think it couldn’t run that long clearly haven’t heard of other Christmas themed Broadway shows like A Christmas Story or Scrooged! The trouble isn’t in the characters or writing new songs (the movie’s basically an operetta already) but how to adapt the look of the film into something appealing for theater. Having come from a family of thespians and having a love for German puppet theater techniques, I think it’s fairly obvious.

Design the cast of Halloween Town like a Cirque De Soliel show with a big emphasus on Eastern European shadow-puppet theater, grotesque German expressionist opera (the kind that would later inspire Cabinet of Dr. Caligari and Nosferatu), and have most of the cast decked out as mimes, clowns, or have practical carnival masks. Maybe take some nods from Australia’s Snuff Puppet theater as well. I’m just saying, if someone can take the realistic looking animals of Lion King and turn them into authentic anthro animal people for a stage show, a good designer should be able to keep to the roots of Burton and co’s influence while still keeping the look of the show in the realm of theater, rather than cosplay of the characters. Of course...I’m not a good designer...but I tried! I based a lot of my ideas after the conceptual art of these characters, like Dr. Fink having hair or Lock Sock and Barrel’s masks taking up most of their bodies.

Like other Disney Broadway show adaptations, you could also flesh out the story a little bit more. Here’s some of my ideas:

Give a tiny bit more backstory to Jack and Oogie’s conflict like what they did with Ursula in The Little Mermaid Broadway show.

Let Sally sing in more songs. She did in Carolyn Thompson’s script. Let a girl belt for once will ya?

Speaking of the original script, there was a scene where Jack comes to get supplies from Dr. Finkelstein where Sally answers the door and kind of blurts out her “I’m here for you” thoughts...leaving Jack very confused. Would be nice to have a little bit more interaction between these two.

Sally’s vision would obviously be different on stage. She has a dream where everyone in Halloween Town is having a good Christmas, but the tree they set up falls down and Jack gets crushed trying to stop it.

After Jack announces his Christmas plans, Dr. Finkelstein finds Sally a second time and tries to make her come back to the lab, but it’s Jack who intervenes and tells Fink that Sally is her own person and that he’s making her his seamstress. This would give Jack and Sally even more little bits in between songs to bond, and maybe also push the fact that Jack didn’t know about her until she brought him that basket in the middle of the night. Being Jack, he still doesn’t get the message.

Jack specifically tells Lock, Shock, and Barrel to take Sandy Claws to their treehouse to play with since he thinks Santa will be more comfortable in the presence of children. He knows they would sneak stuff to Oogie in the past, but being that they are such good trick ‘r treaters, Jack thinks they’ve changed for good and surely have nothing to do with the boogieman now.
