Does Protector and/or the other voices remember the instances of the mirror as well? Like we forget after the mound makes us, but do the voices remember previous loops like that or just the restart from before that made them more… violent? Jaded? Sobbing wet cats?

it feels complicated so ive got a couple visual aides.

so, the only one who remembers the Last interaction with the princess before the Major Reset is the Protector. his influence is what changes so much about everything, since he's convinced the princess is definitely evil. The only thing he remembers from it, though, was how he died to the princess, and her final promise/threat. the rest of the stuff continues as usual, the same options giving the same voice-equivalents and chapters, and those voices come off of LQ instead of the Protector, so they don't have the memory of the Major Reset.

The mirror functions the same as the source material; narry cant see it and everybody hates it. the Protector only remembers what the princess wanted him to remember, and she was never made aware of the mirror, so he doesn't recognize it from before the reset.

as usual, you have no choice but to approach it.

beyond the mirror, you find the shifting mound. but she does not talk to you. instead of before where she could not see you, it is all she does. in her eyes is terror. she is afraid of you here. you have found her at her most vulnerable.

you are given the choice to either slay the vessel youve given her or not. If you do or don't, she says one thing: "It isn't enough." (Both "it isnt enough" to kill her, or the vessel "isnt enough" to be everything she feels the need to be) and she puts you back to how you were, at the beginning of the path, to get you away from her. whether you let her keep the vessel or you destroyed it and kept SM from using it, it is no longer available to you (like the source material)

as someone who loves hannibal and analyzing, I’d love to read your papers! what are some of the topics/ focuses?

I'm happy you asked!

I've written three "analysis and evaluation" papers for my research and argumentative writing class. Each paper is three parts: Introduction, Analysis of my source, and Evaluating of my source through argument. For reference, my introduction stays the same in my first two papers and changes only slightly in my third one. Honestly no one has to read the Analysis part of my papers because, like I said, that's just the part that analyzes my source. Also, just so you know, for each paper, I add a source (just one source in project one, then my first source + a new one in project two, etc.).

Onto the fun part: argument topics! My papers all focus on Will Graham's transformation/becoming through his relationship and interactions with Hannibal, but between the three papers I focus on different aspects of said transformation/becoming.

Paper 1: "How NBC Hannibal's Morality Breaks Queer Stereotypes"

This paper explores how, through Hannibal's love and manipulation, Will is ascended to godhood. (This is also the paper that got the award nomination at my college!)

Paper 2: "The Positive Portrayal of Animalism and Monstrosity in NBC Hannibal's Queer Romance"

This paper explores the more gorey aspects of Hannibal and Will's romance and takes a look at animal motifs in serial killers throughout the show (but specifically at the Ravenstag and the Stag Man and how they connect Hannibal and Will), and overall explains how Hannibal and Will's relationship turned Will into something less than human.

Paper 3: "Exploring Humanity in NBC’s Hannibal as Provided by Character Flaws and Queer Romance"

I'm finishing up this paper right now, but the argument is focused on how Will and Hannibal's relationship humanized both of them, however I will still be centering that focus on Will's experience.

This pretty much sums it all up, but feel free to ask more questions if you have them!

One Year Anniversary!

The view was incredible from on top of the lighthouse. At least that's what Skylar thought it was. Looked similar enough.

She gazed at the desert below, the moonlight turning the sand a brilliant shade of purple. Purple had always been one of her favorite colors, maybe that's why she liked this area so much.

Another person landed beside her. Strangely enough, they were already visible. They settled down next to her.

"So, been a few days since you began, huh?"

"What? How'd you know?"

The stranger chuckled, their cat eared hair swaying gently in the wind, "All new folks look like you."

"Then... how do I look like you?" Their cape closely resembled wings, split between orange and blue. Skylar stared at it enviously.

The stranger smiled, "That comes with time. Don't worry, your dedication will never betray you."

Silence once again fell over them. Skylar watched plumes of sand be picked up and dispersed by wind, trying to avoid eye contact.

The stranger shifted, and began humming a tune. An enchanting short melody, that promised wonder and adventure.

"Who... are you?" Skylar was curious. After all, she was sure she'd never friended this person.

"Who am I?" The stranger looked at her with a knowing grin, "I'm you."

"Huh? That's impossible!"

"Is it? How about I prove it to you?"

Skylar scoffed, "Sure, if you want."

"You have just discovered this place correct? Yet you recognized immediately that what we are sitting on is a lighthouse. Not everyone gets that right away."

"So it is a lighthouse!" Skylar paused, "Wait..."

"Do you believe me now?" The stranger giggled.

"Uh-" not really, but she figured it would be fun to humor them for a while, "Yyyyyyyyes!"

The stanger sighed and shook their head, "You still don't. Ah well, I suppose not much can be done about that."

Skylar stared at them, and noticed the glint of gold in their hair, "Where'd you get those earrings?"

A mysterious grin appeared on the stranger's face, "You'll find out in about a year."

"Wow, thanks." Skylar sighed.

The stranger glanced behind them, "Uh oh, looks like I have to go."

Skylar followed their gaze but didn't see anything.

The stranger stood and offered their hand, which Skylar hesitantly took. She was bored, and she could leave at any time, so no harm in a little adventure right?

They floated high into the sky,

"Don't be afraid to experiment with yourself, okay? There will be many changes this year, it's up to you to make them good ones."

"... okay-?"

They let go, and watched as their confused younger self fell down toward the clouds, vanishing right before she touched them.

Skylar chuckled, they knew there was no point in offering advice. It will all happen anyway. Perhaps they just wanted a chance to see how far they had come. Maybe they'll do the same next year, or maybe not. So much more could change in that time, after all.

I WILL GLADLY TALK ABOUT DOGS!!! :D :D :D

every dog was bred for a specific job or purpose! and although most dogs only serve as companions nowadays, those work-related behaviors are still prevalent!

golden and labrador retrievers were used in duck hunting! they would run over to where the bird landed and carry it back over to their owner! they have whats called a “soft jaw” basically meaning that they can grab fragile things (for example: a duck) and not grab it hard enough to damage it in any way! this makes them great service dogs, because they can go and grab things for their owner if the person isn’t capable of getting it themselves!

its pretty obvious that most white, fluffy, double coated winter dogs were used to pull sleds around. but samoyeds actually had a different purpose! and that purpose being to keep people warm when its cold! because of how fluffy and warm they are, it was pretty common to just hold onto one for a but of warmth! combine that with how affectionate samoyeds are, and you’ve got yourself a very easy to cuddle dog! i personally think they would be good emotional support dogs for this exact reason, i would certainly feel better after hugging one of those guys!

most small dogs were initially bred for companionship. but did you know that weiner dogs were actually used for hunting? the dachshund was originally used for hunting badgers! (its actually in the name! dachs is german for badger and hund means dog!) their long body was actually useful for getting through the dens!

a lot of dogs that were hunting dogs are probably very surprising. you probably wouldnt expect frou-frou show dogs like standard poodles or afghan hounds to be hunters, but they were! (pretty much any dog that has the word hound, spaniel, or terrier in its name was bred for hunting.)

and you know borzois? those silly dogs with the long noses that can stick in a pringles can and those dorky eyes? hunters again! but its even more ridiculous than the high matinence dogs because these guys weren’t going after ducks or deer or badgers, no. they were killing WOLVES. eventually the wolf hunting stopped and their prior name “the russian wolfhound” went into a bit of retirement, but still! WOLVES!!

also i feel like, with the people this dog is often associated with, peoples perception of this breeds purpose might be a bit warped. the great pyrenees is a guard dog through and through! but because they kinda look like a sheepdog (specifically the marema sheepdog) and are commonly on farms, some people think that they’re herding dogs. but if you’ve heard about that one pyrenees that killed an entire pack of coyotes, i think its pretty obvious.

on the flip side, the german shepherd is not a guard dog! people always think its a dog thats gonna protect them with their life but nope! they’re sheepdogs just as much as a border collie is! if you want a good family dog to protect you (that wont get profiled as a “dangerous” breed) go with the pyrenees!

the vast majority of tiny dogs were meant to be companions and nothing more. which is a bit sad that those are the ones that so often get written off as mean or aggressive. as long as you treat them right, those “yappy anklebiters” will be the sweetest little things! chihuahuas are actually very affectionate dogs! you can carry them around and dress them up in little outfits! just make sure they’re comfortable like you would with any dog!
