I have a million and one svsss AU ideas that idk if I'll ever write cause I have 0 confidence in my untested writing skills. Any of these appeal to you?? Go ahead, use 'em. These will be Ghost King/Calamity!SJ cause he has been living rentfree in my brain ever since one braincell at one AM shouted about it so you have been warned.

- Dual Ghost Kings YQY and SJ, Post canon of PIDW. That's it that's the idea. Their extras hurt my cold dead heart way too much and as much as bbygirl SJ is a piece of shit, Yue Qingyuan deserves happiness, and for that he needs his Xiao-Jiu. Basically YQY does not stay dead when Bingge turns him into a pincushion à la White No Face to Xie Lian except with arrows. What happens from here? Idk didn't get that far but I imagine he steals back his (probably dead) Xiao-Jiu, maybe does some other batshit insane shit like we all know that deep down he's capable of, and the duo fucking COMMUNICATES for once in their life and they live happily ever after. Bonus points for hilarious deaths for Bingge.

- If you're a filthy multishipper like me, want a BingJiu version of the above QiJiu? Easy, SJ decides to haunt Bingge's ass for eternity and vice versa when Bingge kicks the bucket and so they spent the rest of eternity trying to make each other miserable in increasingly ridiculous and creative ways. Maybe along the centuries they find a common enemy or sort their shit out and proceed to make their awful existence everyone else's problem. A match made in hell, truly <3

Are you seeing a theme yet. I like a general comedic air to svsss AUs, it just belongs to the svsss experience ya know? Anyway carrying on-

Shen twins, and SQH twins cause why not. If you want Binghe twins too, actually probably funnier with Binghe twins, where one is our beloved maiden Bingmei and the other OG!PIDW Bingge but forced back in time with memories of the PIDW timeline. Transmigrator SQH aka Airplane gets the peak lord + Mobei-Jun plotline while OG!SQH is just chilling as an An Ding Peak Hallmaster or something. Meanwhile, the Shen twins have a funny game of imposter going on. As far as everyone is concerned, there is only one Shen Qingqiu, Shen Yuan. Shen Yuan transmigrated in earlier into the novel, but ended up going to CQM with Yue Qi while SJ got stuck in the Qiu household as in canon. From here the details can change but the main idea is that

A) Shen Yuan knows how to do his peak lord job actually

B) SJ is a calamity ghost, having died either in his disciple years or alternatively never made it out of the Qiu household alive

C) Both SY and SJ have been playing switcheroo when SY needs to head out and do stuff or just wants SJ to do his paperwork for him.

I still need a good reason for the switching and duping, but wouldn't it be funny if the disciples just had to deal with their peak lord behaving WILDLY different at times. Most of the time it's good ol' Shen Yuan smiling at disciples, way too enthusiastic for monsters and plants and keeps forgetting his fans everywhere. Then one random week in the month after he has a resting bitch face, scowls, snarls and bitches at anyone and has 0 patience for teenage attempts at music.

Most shrug it off as just terrible migraine weeks, but some disciples are suspicious, most of all Bingge who is CONVINCED something is WrongTM. Like, he KNOWS SQQ and this SQQ is just so different, something must be different. He doesn't know how right he is yet everyone just thinks he's actually insane.

I know this is probably increasingly insane and dumb, but fast forward to the Abyss opening. SJ was probably there to keep an eye on his clumsy twin, but SY ends up asking the ghost to look over the Luos, as the system still demands that they go to the abyss. So SJ after much grumbling agrees (after all he probably just was unmasked as ghost calamity, and the twins as demons, with a huge amount of cultivators moving their way. It's really the smaller hassle to jump into the Abyss and deal with the horrors there. Besides, the scholar in SJ would be curious about the abyss (and SY too let's be honest) ), kicks both in and goes "Alright we're taking an impromptu field trip" and jumps in after leaving SY to deal with the political mess that comes after.

Anyway, the last AU can be changed in various ways, like make it a PIDW time travel fix it with only the OGs around, or just Shen twins, etc. Feel free to shout at me how dumb this all is.

I love love love the super direct symbolism of the wand in this fic :D It's just like Harry :D Kind of Slytherin and sneaky, kind of Gryffindor and risktaking :D Also lots of dumb luck and it works out :D

I mean literally nobody is paying Snape a ton of Galleons for his services :D Bad joke but I really love the symbolism of that for the fic which has a ton of characterization and dynamics around the concept of worth <3

The most Snarry fic of 2020s for me <3 I am pretty much totally burned on Snarry because I feel satisfied and a big reason for that is Contempt. It was so brilliant, perfect and I don't really feel like reading new Snarry at the moment :D Also a perfect image for the fic. Innocence, guilt, beauty, ugliness, imperfection, flaws, penetration lots and lots of symbolism in that <3

9. Mostly Harmless by EmilyWaters1976

The imagery of the manacle is super on point for this fic which is dark, dubcon bittersweet with a happy ending :D

10. Death and the Open Mind by Loup Garou.

The final fic is super long at like 43000 words. I mean!!! That's like 150 pages!! 150 pages!! Danni is insane and brilliant. I really love the skull rose imagery which is perfect for the fic which is dark, dirtybadhotwrong and really really beautiful.

Going to bed with Severus — to actually sleep — is Harry's favorite part. It's a bit awkward because they haven't discussed it, but Severus doesn't dissuade Harry from following him. The bed is lumpy and creaky and small. Severus is too bony to be a comfortable bedmate. Harry latches onto him all the same.

It was everything Harry wanted. It was the sort of sex he'd thought he could never have, and it made him so giddy he almost laughed out loud.

You’ve said before you didn’t particularly like the beta kids so I was wondering how you feel about the trolls? All of them in general or specific ones!

I like the trolls as much as I like the beta kids, but I think the alphas (and I mean all of them, Hal, Caliborn and Calliope included) are my utmost faves and I can’t get enough of them! I love John’s interactions with Vriska, especiallly when he dies. I also like Terezi and Dave interactions and maybe I’ll make a post about them in future and how much their dynamics mean.. I’m very fond of all the trolls really I just don’t have anything big to say on them. :o) Here’s a few pieces of dialog that live in my brain rentfree!

And also also! I like to imagine that John, Dave, Karkat, Dirk and Jake have movie nights or just general hanging out nights where they watch movies and chillax and it always ends with a HUGE argument between Jake John and Karkat over whether the movie was GOOD. Dave only serves to side with whatever side he thinks is funny while Dirk has some really niche tastes and will think a movie is really deep while the rest of them think it’s BORING. Or karkat calling John at like 2 am to bitch to them about movies and John picks it up and he’s like “Karkat it’s 2 AM” and he’s like “YEAH AND? PERFECTLY NORMAL TIME?” and John just hangs up on him.

The problem lands I guess in drawing them. For the life of me I cannot. :( maybe in future though..

Sean /Not Me: The Series (2021)

Not Me, as a whole, breaks me in the best ways possible. And Sean - he’s just everything to me. In my opinion, one of the most beautiful character arcs you can give me is having a character find a few more reasons to live. Make them start cherishing their life as a thing that should be protected and you have me on the floor sobbing. And Sean is this to me - comfort and pain wrapped in one person.

Jim Jimenez /Our Flag Means Death (2022)

Do you know how hard it is to choose only one character from this damn show? I love them all so much, with my entire heart. But Jim is my special kid okay. It truly hits diffently, seeing them having their own arc in this silly little show, being just as silly with their crewmates, but also being badass and cool off the side and also having such a precious friends to lovers romance alongside everything. My beloved.

Ayukawa Ryuuji “Yuka”/ Blue Period (2021)

This anime wrecked me, everything about Yuka wrecked me. Their story made me cry for two hours straight and unlocked something in my brain. I don’t know how to explain.

Shen Yi /Under The Skin (2022)

With everything happening this year, I almost forgot I watched this show, but everytime I remember it, I’m so incredibly fond. It’s rare to watch a crime show that feels comforting, but this one does it! And I attribute a lot of it to this lovely protagonist, because he is so warm, sensitive and charismatic. I loved watching Shen Yi and going through all these cases from his point of view. He just feels like such a comforting presence and honestly, more protagonists should have this characteristic. Let them be gentle!!

Guillermo de la Cruz/ What We Do in the Shadows (2019-?)

As someone on this hellsite put it - he’s the most character ever. Last week I finally caught up with the new season and I’m all here for Guillermo’s emancipation arc! Fuck it up son!!!! I’m cheering you on, keep doing your hot girl shit!

Vegas Theerapanyakul & Pete / Kinnporsche: La Forte (2022)

Yes I’m cheating again but what are you gonna do about it. I couldn’t choose between these two because I find them both equally as engaging and interesting. If you’ve been following me - you know. You know the insanity I feel for these two. Who would’ve thought comfort is stored in the toxic BDSM couple. Emotional support fucked up men. Truly on the top of the list for this year.

Striga /Castlevania (2017-2021)

Listen it doesn’t need much - give me a queer muscly lady with a huge sword and the coolest action sequence of the series and you have me sold. My actual favourite is Alucard, but I feel like we, as a society, should appreciate love and go crazy over Striga a bit more. Like, she’s right there!!

Lucifer Morningstar /The Sandman (2022)

I just think they’re neat. Once again a show full of wonderful, beautiful characters, but Lucifer simply lives in my mind rentfree. @ netflix I beg, please renew this show so we can get the sequel with Lucifer going apeshit. I’m on my knees.

Wen Ning / The Untamed (2019)

Sooooooooo I’ve been rewatching this curse of a show for the past week while lying sick in bed with covid and. AND. After three years the pain truly does not get better. Once again, I did not know who to choose for this - every single character in this god forsaken show deserves their own spot. But I somehow ended up on my darling, my boy, my favourite Ghost General. His story arc fucks me up so badly every time and yet it is one of the most beautifully tragic things. He’s a red thread, pulled through the entire story, and it makes my heart bleed. (and yes @the-cloud-whisperer, I’m gonna come back to you soon and finally scream with you properly)

👑 Louis de Pointe du Lac / Interview With the Vampire (2022-?)

2022 has not ended yet but I know this guy takes the crown. I’ve been a fan of the Vampire Chronicles since I was 15 and finally. FINALLY. I get what I fucking deserve. And FINALLY here is a Louis that I adore - one that is charismatic, one that feels raw and real, and one I can finally love and be invested in. This show truly made me fall in love with his character when before that, he always paled in my affection to Lestat. He always kinda bored me in the books and the movie adaptation. As my friend put it: we all want to be Lestat but actually we are all Louis. But here is he at last, my highest quality blorbo: Louis de Pointe du Lac, resident disaster man full of existential despair, wrath and love. This show is all I’ve been thinking about and I will not apologise.

It’s Terry Pratchett’s birthday today. He would have been 73.

I owe to sir Terry so much. I remember so vividly the first of his books I have ever read. I didn’t enjoy books that much at that time, I was 12 or 13 and though I loved fantasy I didn’t have the patience for reading. Then I got my hands on Eric. I was sick with a flu but 160 pages later and I was hooked. I started reading all the Discworld books I could get my hands on in our local library. Shabby books with missing or torn pages, no order in what I read whatsoever but I didn’t care. I had to read them all.

And then I got my first City Watch book. It was Men at Arms and I immidiatelly fell in love. I knew at that time already that Sam Vimes is a character who is gonna stay with me.

And stay with me he did.

I think he is the goddamn love of my life, living inside of my head rentfree, grunting whenever there is a pile of paperwork on my desk, when it’s raining or whenever I walk over the pavement in my street where the blocks are so weirdly shaped. I admire his sense of justice. His growth. His humanity. His relationship with Sybil and little Sammy is love at its finest, deeply rooted, calm and caring. I love all the little words of wisdom he imprinted on me over the years and every now and then I go back and read all of the books of the City Watch again. I cry while reading Night’s Watch, I smile during Feet of Clay, I enjoy the ride in Jingo, I’m still scared for Vimes in Thud!.

And everytime I find something new. Something fresh. Some snippet or a line of dialogue or a thought or an aspect or angle I missed the last time I read it.

I love Sam Vimes because he is such a well-rounded character and I love how Terry Pratchett kindly and patiently showed me the world I’d love to live in in his books. The world where people fight for the right causes and right things, no matter how small. His books formed my world view greatly and his humanity and kindness got ingrained in my brain via his words and stories.

I haven’t read sir Terry’s last book though. Not yet.

It’s been almost six years since his passing and I still didn’t get myself to accept it. I still cannot get myself to read The Shepherd's Crown because that would mean that I would have read the last book. It would be the end. No more stories to look forward to. And I cannot get myself there, not yet.

So on this day, let me just say, thank you, sir Terry. I hope you enjoy your birthday in a better place. One day I will get myself to read the last piece of your work and accept it - and I really look forward to it. Until than, I will reread your books and I will reread again the City Watch. I’m sure there are some more gems hidden just waiting for me to grow to them...

Heya friends, as pride month begins today i felt like sharing a little personal anecdote -

so for context - Marriage For All (Ehe für alle) was legalized in june 2017 in germany - and later that year (or maybe it was the year after, plz dont quote me on that its been a while) and dear friend (u know who you are <3) and I went to a local fantasy/ steam punk event.

You can imagine this event to be something like a small con - losts of booths selling art work, clothes and accessoires, handmade things, food, u name it. A stage with live music.

sometime while browsing the sellers booths, my friend and i were stopped by a lady who complimented our outfits - so we hung around a bit talking about lolita fashion and other cons we visited.

and now i don’t remember entirely how the convo went, but at some point we figured out the we must’ve ran into each other at a different small event a few years prior. friend and I asked something along the lines of “oh were you the one who sells handmade hair accessoires?”

and she answered: “No, but my wife does.”

I’m not sure if it showed on my face, but i kinda got embarassingly excited about that lady reffering to her wife. (omg her wife!!!!!) This moment still lives in my brain rentfree - i think it’s because that’s when it hit me - that people in same sex relationsships could actually get married now. like. for real.

it must’ve been that marriage was not an immediate concern of anyone in my circle of friends at that time, that it was this particular interaction that made such a difference. I remember feeling so much happiness for that stranger and her wife whom I have met exactly two times in my life.

I have a really beautiful hairpin, that i bought from this ladies’ wife at that other event I mentioned above. I didn’t know at the time, but now it will always remind me of this little story.

It’s been four year since june 2k17. (Only 4 yrs????? it feels so much longer somehow). I am just so happy for all those who finally got their chance.

i wish everyone (and these two strangers in particular ^^) nothing but the best <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

TLDR: hearing a woman say ‘my wife’ is eternal happiness, especially when gay marriage was legalized only a few months prior.

Im battling with lots of personal/academic issues, a lot is on the line irl for me, so it is natural that my brain and thinking get tired and slowed down, with no creativity at all.

I am not promising ever a proper update - I always say soon, because I truly intend to write and finish soon, but currently my academics are kicking my butt.

Updates will come whenever I will manage to relax enough to immerse myself into another world so that I can create something beautiful for all of you! :) I want to finish ALL stories I have ongoing on this blog! Favorite character / Second Favourite character this is literally so so fucking difficult for me because like . i lvoe them all but then hate them all but love them all. all these bitches are so annoying and i love them all <333333 and hate them all <333 Equally. im not kidding. i wrote a fave character in here and then one in second fave and then went hang on actually and i have. cycled through every single fucking character for both of these and i genuinely cannot pick a favourite it always just depends on whichever bitch is talking.

Least favorite character i feel like theres a minor character who would probably go in here but i cannot remember and also. man. idk i dont always think abt minor characters when it comes to least favourites anyways?

Rating out of 10 characters for second citadel have always been a solid 9 or 10 i think sometimes the stories and writing can be a little EHHH so maybe an 8 or 7 for tht. penumbra, in general, writing-wise can be a little too rough but its like. in terms of pure enjoyment its usually too good to give a shite imo
