SERIES FINALE– Liz (Jeanine Mason) doubting her abilities, calls for reinforcements, meanwhile Isobel (Lily Cowles) shows Max (Nathan Dean) a memory, one that will put him on a new trajectory and Michael (Michael Vlamis) makes a promise to Alex (Tyler Blackburn).

man it's sooooooooo crazy to me that the writers were stuck in this headspace of "max is running from his powers" for s3/s4. like, sure, when we meet him in s1, he's got a decade of self-loathing and suicidal ideation and he's reluctant to use his powers because he thinks of himself as a danger to others (hence his self isolating) but we can see those feelings start to ease once liz tells him that she still believes in him. but then the narrative for s3/s4 acts like max is a huge coward and scared to face anything alien which is like...........

Some points

•Chris evans is not “using” you, he is an actor, you like movies. Thats just capitalism.

•Consuming chris evans products does not entitle you to an having an opinion on or say in his personal life or relationships

S4 interviews | Chris Hollier on Malex

TVLINE | I’m also enjoying watching Michael and Alex awkwardly attempt to blend their lives. Is that going to be an ongoing struggle for them?  We’re actually going to explore that couple in a very unusual way. I would argue that this episode really doesn’t even touch what their story is, but it does set the table for where they are and how they’ve emotionally evolved. They’re two people who now know that they’re in love. They know they want to be together. But just because you want something, that doesn’t mean it’s an easy road. We’ve got big plans for them, but we’re not giving anything away in Episode 1.

TVLINE | Alex was very chill about that gazebo. I don’t know if I would have reacted as calmly. [Laughs] No, I would have lost it. But that’s how much he loves Michael, come on.

TWFanatic | Switching over to another couple, Michael and Alex. They move in together. That's a major step forward in their relationship, and we see Michael struggle with the reality of that situation. What can you tell us about that relationship, where it stands now, and where it could go in the future? Sure. Well, we wanted to advance them as well. We felt like last season, we got them to a place where it's like, enough nonsense. We love each other. We want to move forward together. But moving forward together, again, it's not always the easiest path. Just because you found that person to stand next to, it doesn't mean that life stops throwing you challenges. So, we really wanted to say they're a functional couple. They love each other, right? The littlest things aren't going to unmoor them. But how do we challenge them in a new way for them to find their next step?

TVFanatic | Oh, that's great. What character arc are you most excited to see play out this season? I don't want to give anything away, but I love the challenge that we did create for Michael and Alex. We found a new, different, romantic way to tell the story, I think, that people are going to dig as it unfolds.

TVInsider | Clearly Michael’s the more hesitant one when it comes to taking steps forward in his and Alex’s relationship. They’ve made it past one obstacle already in living together, with Michael’s nerves. What’s next? We know now that these guys love each other and are committed to one another, and so we’re gonna give them an obstacle that doesn’t question whether they love each other, but just because you love somebody doesn’t mean that life stops throwing you obstacles. So we’re looking for new ways for them to face things together.
