Another vintage camera find, this time of the Japanese variety. The #Pentax #Spotmatic (sold in the U.S. as the #Honeywell Spotmatic) 35mm SLR was produced from 1964 to 1976 by the #Asahi Optical Company. Originally retailing for approximately $300 USD (roughly $2,000 today with inflation), the Spotmatic was known for using high quality lenses and for being one of the first SLR’s to offer a through-the-lens (TTL) exposure metering system. _ 東京オリンピックの頃のカメラが今年の桜が散った頃に壊れた。シャッターが切れなくなり、息が出来ない危篤状態のようだった。

この時代のカメラは電子式ではなく機械仕掛けなので、

どうにかすれば、なんとかなったりする。

できる限り自分であれこ��してみるが、

餅は餅屋に任せて、先日７月９日に帰ってきた。分解して中を観たところ「当時から一度も手が入っていないような様子でしたよ」。

とのことだった。

５０年以上も壊れもせずに、この春までカチカチとゆっくり

瞬間、瞬間を写してきたわけだ。

手許に戻ってきたカメラは各機関快調、

以前のファインダーはクモリ気味でぼんやりと目前を捉えていた。

人で言えば、老眼や緑内障を患ったような感じだと思う。今は子供の頃の澄んだ瞳のようにクリアに世界が観える。これからまた半世紀ゆっくりとゼンマイはカチカチと動きだす。
