Just unfollowed someone I looked up to for a shit take on “democrats vs republicans”… if you still think its worth it to fight red vs blue know that neither party gives a shit about the unhoused and starving, queer people, bipoc and non-white people, climate change, differently abled and disabled people, mental health, the prison system, or free healthcare. What has Biden fucking done in four years besides make promises and walk them all back? One party is not “better than the other” its a system designed to make people fight each other rather than the people at the top… Ever heard of the Ratchet Effect?

Vote Claudia and Karina 2024 if you’re going to vote, they’re socialist organizers who are vocally against genocide and apartheid.

so yall, from what i remember from the debate, Claudia and Karina had like 70% of the vote for popularity
I think we should all somehow come to a consensus on which third-party candidate to vote for in the election to increase their chance of winning and to convince other leftists that they can actually beat Trump if they decide to vote who they want instead of 'vote blue no matter who'
how should we come to a consensus and spread tje word that we need to focus our vote on one person?

CALIFORNIA!! if you’re planning on voting for claudia de la cruz and karina garcia this 2024, they’re going to be running under the peace and freedom party. if you want to vote for them in the primaries, you’ll have to register under the peace and freedom party before february 5. they posted a video about it on their instagram here.
in my state, you can change your party very easily online, as long as you have your address and social security number on hand. not sure if it’s the same case for california, but i would try that first

Thinking about all the times my elders have told me stories about struggling to make their start in the last century. When they talked about being poor the most common thing you heard was ‘we ate nothing but beans.’ I used to be impressed with that grindset but it just occurred to me… weren’t they eating beans… in a house? Or at least an affordable apartment? And then of course after 2-5 years their bean diet paid off and they got to be comfortably lower middle class for the next 5 decades. They probably even got promoted, which is a thing that doesn’t happen anymore because companies have realized it’s cheaper to treat their workers like disposable machine parts. I’ve been working for a decade—taking on as much work as people will give me—and I’m making the same wage I made almost 10 years ago. After 2 years I had to spend a little more on my diet because cheap food was making me sick. After 5 years housing became totally unaffordable. It doesn’t matter how hard I work—nobody who’ll hire me can or will pay me a livable wage. If I hadn’t lucked in to work-camper jobs I’d’ve been on the street. If I didn’t do freelance work after hours I’d have zero savings. “But AHA! You have pets!” Most of the old guys doing this 40-50 years ago had one job, a non-working spouse, and kids, but go on, tell me that after 10 years of working—of being a goddamn exemplary college educated worker a thousand times over—I should be lucky to still live alone in a rented room and have nothing but beans.
A full time job should pay enough to afford a living. Rent extortion of the working class has to be curtailed. This country has the wealth and resources to support us all, it’s just being hoarded.

I swear our politicians just be saying anything at this point. 🙄
Americans, it's an election year, but not a normal election year. Whatever you do, do not vote for a Republican or a Democrat. Do not contribute to their campaigns and do not attend their rallies.

I have no idea why I’m not seeing anything about this anywhere, but I’m wanting this video to really blow up. At least show people there’s more than 2 options nobody really wants. The working class can work together and allow for a viable third option. I really think this is possible this election!! Everyone’s pissed!

i just found out about Claudia De la Cruz and Karina Garcia and i am SOLD
they are running for president and vp in the 2024 election for the Party for Socialism and Liberation
their platform is all about giving back to the people and uplifting the working class while dismantling the capitalist systems that are actively killing people both inside and outside of the us
both claudia and karina have boots on the ground for palestine right now and have been active in organizing and pushing for big change since they were teenagers
do your own research, of course, but finding out about the psl and about claudia and karina has given me so much hope for the future and for this election
they are the kind of people the world needs right now

i just got this email from some activism group im subscribed to
is this true? are we going to be 40% of the entire voting block?
bruh if we all vote for a third party candidate thats insane
we would only need to convince 11% of all the other demographics to vote with us, and i know for a fact there are long time third party voters among them

Nessie, what are your thoughts on Joe Biden VS Donald Trump, as well as the 2024 election as a whole?
I’ve said this a thousand times before, but choosing between Biden and Trump is like choosing whether to microwave a baby or bake it in the oven. I voted for Biden the first time but only because the alternative was Donald fucking Trump. I was told he was “the lesser of two evils” and I’m sure he probably still is, but I can’t excuse his involvement in the Palestinian genocide so I won’t be voting for him a second time. The two party system has failed us yet again, which is why I’m voting socialist in this election instead. I know Claudia and Karina won’t win but I simply refuse to vote for either major candidate, and this way we can hopefully help to normalize voting 3rd party so that one day a 3rd party candidate might have a legitimate chance of winning a major election.
We’ve been alternating between microwaving babies and baking them in the oven for hundreds of years. Everyone thinks that “oh, maybe the microwave won’t kill the baby this time,” and to be fair, sometimes it doesn’t, but they all still seem to think that we need to pick one or the other because that’s the way we’ve always done it. Nobody’s listening to the few people standing in the corner who are suggesting maybe we SHOULDN’T still be cooking the baby or even have been cooking it in the first place, as was intended by the baby’s creators. Literally all it takes is enough people realizing this, and eventually we can stop cooking babies altogether (yes, I know that in reality some of them are basically advocating for deep frying the baby but ignore them, I’m talking about the ones who don’t want to cook it at all).
Allow me to frame it another way: when you get shot, putting pressure on the wound is the best thing to do in that moment, but you can only put pressure on it for so long. You’ll live longer by packing the wound with gauze than if you did nothing, but it’s a very stressful and strained existence. However, if you don’t do anything about it you’ll still bleed out, just more slowly.
On the other hand, you can try to remove the bullet so that you can stitch up the wound. You’ll bleed a lot more in that moment and it’s way harder to stitch up a wound than it is keep changing the bandage, but ultimately you’ll heal. You’re going to have to do it eventually, so you might as well do it before you lose even more blood and before things get even worse. It’s not the quicker or easier option by any means, but it’s the one that leads to the best possible outcome.
Edit: I’ve heard it all before, I promise there’s nothing some stranger on the internet can say that will change my mind. I’m sorry if that upsets you but it’s my constitutional right to vote for who I want

A reminder that Claudia De La Cruz and Karina Garcia are running for President and Vice President. And before any of you loser leftists come on my blog, AGAIN, this is not a safe place for you. I do not care if Biden is the best option, cuz he’s not, I’m not voting for him. We warned y’all about him 4 years ago and now y’all are seeing him for who he is. Deal with it, put your vote towards someone and something that actually matters, and get over it. You wanna make america better??? Gain a spine and do what’s actually going to help us. Voting for the man who is actively funding a genocide and bombing Yemen with no warning is only gonna make things worse.
