There are a lot of candy/chocolate themed pets such as the Lollipop Snail that aren’t considered CandyKinz… Why is that? The Mint Chocolate Sheep isn’t themed as CandyKinz, but the Mint Chocolate Cow is a CandyKinz. What about the Chocolate Lamb? The Cotton Candy Lamb, Cotton Candy Pup, and Cotton Candy Bunny have the word Candy in it, but aren’t CandyKinz… The Candy Googles and Candy Leopard as well… What about the Bubblegum Mammoth and the Bubblegumasaurus? The Cookies and Cream Koala is a CandyKinz but not the Cookies and Cream Giraffe or the Cookies N’ Cream Guinea Pig… What about the Candy Corn Mouse and the Sweet Corn Tiger? I understand why the Delightz Candy Pup isn’t a CandyKinz since it’s a PuppyKinz, but all these other pets, even having counterparts, aren’t CandyKinz, why is that? Why is the Gelato Parrot the “last” CandyKinz? Why doesn’t Webkinz make more additions to pets that are themed as CandyKinz or change all of those candy/chocolate themed pets into being CandyKinz?

I think the CandyKinz Pets were released in 2011 and some of the Webkinz you named have been for Easter and Halloween. It could be that Webkinz only wanted Ganz eStore exclusive Webkinz to be part of the CandyKinz theme to make them easier to market. I seem to recall that the Gemstone Pets and Zodiac Pets also released around the same time as the CandyKinz pets and they also had matching themes/items. I feel like it could be trickier to market Ganz eStore Webkinz and physical Webkinz together.
2/2 This is kinda all over the place…
Yes! They were! I did some digging myself after I posted that…
“In May 2009, Birthstone Pets were released. One new Birthstone Pet was released every month. In April 2010, Ganz replaced the Birthstone Pets with the Zodiac Pets. Again, one Zodiac Pet was released every month. In 2011, CandyKinz were released.”
So basically, CandyKinz themed pets were only a thing for 2011. There’s ton of CandyKinz items though that were released after 2011 though.
It makes sense for the Cotton Candy Bunny to be Easter themed and the Sweet Corn Tiger and the Candy Corn Mouse to be Halloween themed, but imo, Cotton Candy isn’t necessarily an Easter themed candy, whereas Candy Corn is definitely Halloween themed.
You’re probably correct about the plush and virtual marketing difficulties!
I mainly think that the Lollipop Snail is very on point with the CandyKinz themed pets so even though it was released in 2013, I feel like with it’s release, they could’ve revamped the CandyKinz pets collection to include the Lollipop Snail and other Candy themed pets such as the Cookies and Cream Giraffe and the Cookies N’ Cream Guinea Pig to accompany the Cookies and Cream Koala, the Chocolate Mint Sheep to accompany the Chocolate Mint Cow, and also the Candy Google’s PSI is also very on point with CandyKinz.
CandyKinz was released in 2011, but the Candy Leopard was released in January of 2010, so it’s the most weird to me that the Candy Leopard isn’t apart of CandyKinz.
But see, one of these is a CandyKinz, and the other isn’t… If I didn’t know, I’d think that the Lollipop Snail is a CandyKinz and not the Ice Cream Scoop Snail.
