how would the monster group handle a mountain lion hybrid, like, they’re notoriously difficult to handle and are known to lash out, so they were just kinda thrown to Price to handle

They were at an impasse, unable to find you when you didn’t want to be found, stalking the halls in complete silence and scaring people and hissing at people who got to close to you —even them at some point. You were a brat, a proper brat that eventually got to Price as you did with the others. He approached Alejandro and Horangi about your standoffish behaviour: protective, self-isolating and aggressive, but he was assured that it was normal, yours were only worsened by monster and hybrid treatments, the horrible and ignorant ways they treated you that made your instincts lash out.
Fortunately, Price learned that you could be taught to accept them, to be indoctrinated into their pack without rejecting your instincts. He had both felines drag you to the sparring ring after everyone left, hearing you hiss and lash out in pure anxiety and stress until they wrangled you into the ring and surrounded you, walking around you like two cats ready to pounce on their prey. Price had spoken to them to know if this kind of harsh lesson would work, it did on Horangi, made him open up after a rough fight and loosen up after a while. That was all he needed to hear to hold a session with you (he spoke to the others before, wanting to hear their opinions before he moved on with the plan).
”Don’t hold back,” Alejandro smiled, spotted fur growing on his forearms and tail swaying behind him.
“Or what?” You hissed, glaring at the men moving around your prone figure and fists clenched to your side.
“Or I eat you, kitty,” Horangi grinned, a goading gleam in his bright, amber eyes, his scars stretching to widen his smirk and teeth growing to seem more menacing.
Price watched you wait it out, letting your instincts drive you forward when Horangi lashed out first, jumping at you while Alejandro circled both of you, quietly huffing and rumbling when you pushed Horangi back. You fought with vigour and anger, snapping your teeth at the Haetae’s nose and claw swiping at him when you manage to struggle out of his tackle. Horangi and Alejandro switched places on occasion, to keep you from getting used to one person and to tire you out, to wear down your pent up anger and anxiety.
It went on for almost an hour until Horangi had you pinned to the ground, straddling your hips with his thick thighs and gripping your nape, scruffing you into submission and calmness. You were all panting, breathing loudly and shoulders heaving, foreheads dripping sweat and hearts throbbing in your ears, a loud pulse beating a mile per second. You hissed and cussed, always the fiery spirit you were with them without holding back, gentle and caring when healing, but dangerous and bloodthirsty when cornered. When Alejandro nodded at Price, letting him know that it was safe for him to move in, he strode across the room, swinging his legs over the cables and kneeling beside you three.
“Are you ready to listen, Hunter?” He growled, tone low and deep with power, smoke curling on the corners of his lips like a burning fire, the warm, kindling flames of a cigar that smelled earthy and strong. It stung your nose as it did the others, but in the gentlest way possible.
“Yes, sir,” you grumbled, blinking tiredly at him, shoulders slumped downward, head lowered and eyes cast down, “ ‘m tired.”
“Good, let’s get you cleaned and rested, yeah? We’ll continue this tomorrow.”

Yesss hippos are the worst they’re fucking terrifying. So here’s a short story!
My dad was like going on about how hippos are terrible and my mom was like nooo! They’re like fat and they look like they can’t run. And my dad look her dead in the eye and told in horrifying detail of how hippos would murder their own kin (which is common in the animal kingdom), can easily outrun and outswim you, this thing which is built like a fucking tank could possibly sink a small boat. The horror on my mother’s face was just exquisite. Also I saw a video of where a lion and hippo fought and well the lion got their jaw ripped off so yeah…
Hippos are the worst.

Moana passò, la notarono. “Bella come sei, potresti fare del cinema”. Ero contraria. “Prima finisci di studiare”. Cominciò a posare come modella per i pittori. Qualche particina, la tv. Noi sempre in trasferta, ci si vedeva poco o niente. Non so come o dove, un giorno purtroppo incontrò quello Schicchi. Ed entrò in quel mondo orribile. “Perché lo fai? Non ti rendi conto, finirai nel baratro”. Glielo spiegai in tutte le lingue. Però anche la migliore delle madri alla fine si stanca. “Non ti preoccupare, mamma, poi smetto”».
Invece continuò.
«Quando si ficcava in testa qualcosa andava fino in fondo. In paese, non le dico, c’era da vergognarsi a uscire. Nessuno ci mancava di rispetto però, specie per mio padre, era una pena. “Siamo una famiglia per bene, abbiamo sempre camminato a testa alta”. Moana restava zitta».
Felice?
«Non lo so. Con i primi soldi comprò un piccolo appartamento dietro San Pietro, con un terrazzo pieno di fiori. E un attico sulla Cassia, pareva la casa di una principessa. Andavamo a pregare sulla tomba di Papa Roncalli, il suo preferito. Era molto religiosa. Ho ritrovato la sua patente, nella foderina teneva una foto di Giovanni XXIII, una di Pallino, il suo cagnolino bianco, l’immaginetta di Santa Rita da Cascia. In camera da letto due quadri della Via Crucis, Il Cristo deriso e Ecce homo . “Come puoi fare quelle porcherie, allora?”, insistevo. “Sono diversa da come pensi tu. Ma resto sempre la tua Moana”».
L’ha mai guardato un suo film a luci rosse?
«No, per l’amor del cielo, non potrei sopportarlo, mi sentirei malissimo».

«Sedicente marito. Matrimonio a Las Vegas, con una pergamena a fiorellini. Un nullafacente, le faceva da autista. Si strafogava di ostriche con i soldi di mia figlia. Ha aspettato che morisse per registrarlo, lei lo avrebbe ucciso. Sul certificato di morte c’era scritto “nubile”».
La malattia.
«Era quasi Pasqua. Moana tornò a casa. Mi chiedeva sempre di prepararle i ravioli di carne e la cima alla genovese in brodo. “Mettici tanta maggiorana”. Quella volta però non toccò cibo. “Sono due mesi che ho sempre la nausea, se mangio vomito, mi sale la febbre. Sono stata in Africa, forse ho preso un virus”. Aveva gli occhi un po’ gialli. I dottori dicevano che era un’epatite mal curata. La convinsi a fare qualche accertamento a Lione con un medico nostro amico. Le hanno trovato il tumore al fegato. Però era fiduciosa. “Vedrai, mi curo e guarisco”. Voleva vivere. In sette mesi se n’è andata».
Gli ultimi giorni con lei.
«Quanto ha sofferto, ma era una leonessa. Aveva ripreso peso. Nel letto d’ospedale, mi mostrò le gambe. “Sono tornate com’erano”. Due giorni prima di morire mi chiese di toglierle lo smalto alle mani, per metterne uno trasparente. “Ai piedi lasciami quello fucsia”. Con l’aiuto di un’infermiera si lavò i capelli, con tubi e flebo attaccati. Parlavamo, ridevamo, ero convinta che si riprendesse. “Appena esco ci trasferiamo in campagna e apro una libreria”. Quando è morta era serena, ancora bella, le ciglia lunghissime. “Non metto nemmeno il mascara”. Sembrava che dormisse».
Voleva essere cremata.
«Al cimitero non c’è, ho ritirato io le ceneri, ma dove sono non lo dirò a nessuno».
Chi era davvero Moana?
«Una ragazza fuori dal comune, un enigma. Faceva del bene pure ai sassi. Leggeva tanto, amava i classici, poi non so cosa è successo. Ancora oggi mi chiedo dove ho sbagliato, me ne faccio una colpa. Il parroco dice che non devo, che è così che era scritto in cielo. L’ho sognata soltanto una volta. Vestita di bianco, con una borsetta d’argento, scalza. “Sei senza scarpe”. “Dove sto andando non servono, è un bel posto, si sta bene”. E mi ha sorriso».

How would the reactions differ from alpha to alpha after being invited to a nest?
Max would be so tense because he isn't sure if he is being tricked, but then Dan is gently bracing him and pushing the lion plushie in Max's arms and then Max just breaks and whines softly while pushing his face in Dan's neck and nuzzling him🥺
Nico would never go into a nest on his own so Krvin just grumbles grumpily and builds his nest around Nico, who is too busy cuddling with the dogs to notice dieje. When he does notice Kevin is already practically asleep cuddled into his side so Nico decides he can relax for once 😭
Lance would very much panic and not dre too, but Mick gently chufs and noses and guides him in until Lance is happily cuddled in the softness...
Mick is hecking tiny so he probably sneaks into Este's nest on his own one time after a nightmare and just sleeps in the end but wakes up nicely tucked in with an Omega curled around him.
George would be so anxious and not able to relax until he is tucked into a nest for the first time and he just instantly falls asleep, whining happily for cuddles and just purring like craxy jejcje
Toto would probably be so focused on getting George comfortable that he doesn't think about being in the nest himself too until Lewis nudged him and tucks him in next to George while stroking their cheeks so gently 😭

For months, Boeing has said it had no idea that a new automated system in the 737 Max jet, which played a role in two fatal crashes, was unsafe.But on Friday, the company gave lawmakers a transcript revealing that a top pilot working on the plane had raised concerns about the system in messages to a colleague in 2016, more than two years before the Max was grounded because of the accidents, which left 346 people dead.In the messages, the pilot, Mark Forkner, who played a central role in the development of the plane, complained that the system, known as MCAS, was acting unpredictably in a flight simulator: "It's running rampant."The messages are from November 2016, months before the Max was certified by the Federal Aviation Administration. "Granted, I suck at flying, but even this was egregious," he said sardonically to a colleague, according to a transcript of the exchange reviewed Friday by The New York Times.The Max crisis has consumed Boeing, and the revelation of the messages from Forkner come at a particularly sensitive time. The company's chief executive, Dennis Muilenburg, is scheduled to testify before two congressional committees, on Oct. 29 and Oct. 30, the first time a Boeing executive has appeared at a hearing related to the crashes. Boeing's stock lost 7% of its value Friday, adding to the financial fallout.The existence of the messages strike at Boeing's defense that it had done nothing wrong regarding the Max because regulators had cleared the plane to fly, and potentially increases the company's legal exposure as it faces civil and criminal investigations and multiple lawsuits related to both crashes. Facing competition from Airbus, Boeing worked to produce the Max as quickly as possible, striving to minimize costly training for pilots. Last week, a task force of 10 international regulators released a report that found that Boeing had not fully explained MCAS to the FAA."This is more evidence that Boeing misled pilots, government regulators and other aviation experts about the safety of the 737 Max," Jon Weaks, president of the Southwest Airlines Pilots Association, said in a statement Friday.Boeing has maintained that the Max was certified in accordance with all appropriate regulations, suggesting that there was no sign that MCAS was unsafe.That contention was central to the company's rationale in not grounding the Max after the crash of Lion Air Flight 610 last October, and in waiting days to recommend grounding the plane after the second crash, of Ethiopian Airlines Flight 302 in March.It was only after data suggested that MCAS played a role in the second crash that Boeing and the FAA decided to ground the Max.Forkner was the chief technical pilot for the Max and was in charge of communicating with the FAA group that determined how pilots would be trained before flying it. He helped Boeing convince international regulators that the Max was safe to fly.In the messages, he said that during tests in 2016, the simulator showed the plane making unexpected movements through a process called trimming."The plane is trimming itself like craxy," he wrote to Patrik Gustavsson, a fellow 737 technical pilot at Boeing. "I'm like WHAT?"Forkner went on to say that he had lied to the FAA."I basically lied to the regulators (unknowingly)," Forkner says in the messages, although it was not clear what he was specifically referring to.Lawmakers, regulators and pilots responded with swift condemnation Friday."This is the smoking gun," Rep. Peter DeFazio, D-Ore., said in an interview. "This is no longer just a regulatory failure and a culture failure. It's starting to look like criminal misconduct."Sen. Richard Blumenthal, D-Conn., said he expected answers from Boeing's chief executive and board of directors."They must be held accountable if Boeing was deceptive or misleading in failing to report safety concerns," Blumenthal said in an interview. "What these reports indicate is that Boeing's own employees lied and concealed the truth."The FAA administrator, Stephen Dickson, sent Muilenburg a letter Friday morning demanding that the company account for why it had not provided the messages to the agency earlier."I expect your explanation immediately regarding the content of this document and Boeing's delay in disclosing the document to its safety regulator," Dickson wrote.A Boeing spokesman, Gordon Johndroe, said the company was "voluntarily cooperating" with the congressional investigation and provided the messages to lawmakers as part of that process. He noted that the company gave the messages to the Department of Justice, which is conducting a criminal investigation into Boeing, earlier this year.A Boeing spokesman said the company did not give the messages to the FAA earlier because of the ongoing criminal investigation.The Max has been grounded for more than seven months, and airlines do not expect to fly it again this year. The FAA and Boeing have repeatedly pushed back the expected date of the plane's return to service as regulators and the company uncover new problems with the plane.The crisis has already cost Boeing more than $8 billion. It has disrupted expansion plans for airlines around the world, which have had to cancel thousands of flights and lost hundreds of millions of dollars in sales.The Times, which was the first to disclose Forkner's involvement in the plane, previously reported that he had failed to tell the FAA that the original version of MCAS was being overhauled, leaving regulators with the impression that the system was relatively benign and would be used only in rare cases.Eight months before the messages were exchanged, Forkner had asked the FAA if it would be OK to remove mention of MCAS from the pilot's manual. The FAA, which at the time believed the system would activate only in rare cases and wasn't dangerous, approved Forkner's request.Another exchange, in a batch of emails among Forkner, Boeing colleagues and FAA officials, was also reviewed by The Times on Friday. In one email from November 2016, Forkner wrote that he was "jedi-mind tricking regulators into accepting the training that I got accepted by FAA."A lawyer for Forkner downplayed the importance of the messages, suggesting Forkner was talking about issues with the simulator."If you read the whole chat, it is obvious that there was no 'lie' and the simulator program was not operating properly," the lawyer, David Gerger, said in a statement. "Based on what he was told, Mark thought the plane was safe, and the simulator would be fixed."Flight simulators replicate real cockpits and are used to test planes during development. They can sometimes behave unpredictably, depending on their configuration.Forkner, who is now a pilot for Southwest Airlines, and Gustavsson did not respond to requests for comment.Boeing provided the transcript to lawmakers on Capitol Hill on Friday morning, in advance of the hearings this month at which Muilenburg will testify about the crashes for the first time. Reuters was first to report on the existence of the transcript.DeFazio, who as chairman of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee is overseeing the investigation into the crashes, said he had reviewed other internal Boeing documents and emails that suggested employees were under pressure to produce planes as fast as possible and avoid additional pilot training."Boeing cannot say this is about one person," DeFazio said.
