It is a rare day when the Batfamily has a declared day and night off (usually instituted by Alfred when everyone is injured). They decided to spend the day watching a movie together. Only, Bruce is fed up with the Batkids spending too much time arguing over what movie they should watch and turns it to a random channel that happened to be playing Phineas and Ferb. He states that 'if you act like children, you watch childish things'. Little did Bruce know how much of a pain it would cause him.

First off, Damian has never seen the show, but now that he has, the OWCA agents, especially Agent P, are his favorites. He is already compiling a list of measurements as to give Alfred to make custom fedoras for Titus, Alfred the Cat, Batcow, and any other pet the Wayne's own. Alfred already has the sewing machine out. Damian even commissioned one for Hailey that Dick can't wait to put on her. And on a completely unrelated note, an animal smuggling ring that Damian busted last week happened to have an abused platypus that Damian has now decided would be better fit in the Wayne Manner than taken care of in some wildlife preserve.

Dick remembers trying to recreate do everything Phineas and Ferb's summer as a kid, and is now determined to do it again. While everyone is distracted by the show, he calling is order and favors, determined to make things and contacting anyone who could help. He already has the Teen Titans on his side. He even ordered roller coaster parts that should come tomorrow and who knows what else. While he might not be able to personally build everything, he knows people who could. But for some reason, the parts never arrive at the manor.

Jason is hardcore identifying with Candace. While he is not the oldest, he knows what it is like to have the perfect sibling that never gets caught for their wrongdoing (*cough*cough* Dick). He already had to go through Dick's crazy summer plans before when he was Robin, trying to stop Dick from getting himself killed, and he doesn't want to do it again. Throughout the show, he is trying to bust Dick whenever he leaves to make a suspicious phone call, but Dick always says he is ordering takeout. Jason is pulling his hair out wondering how come no one has questioned the amount of times Dick has left to order food and how none of it has arrived yet. When he gets a chance, he sings E.V.I.L. B.O.Y.Z. directed toward Dick, who sits up front looking completely innocent.

The minute Phineas and Ferb is mentioned, Stephanie quicky fled the room only to roll back in full Duckie Momo apparel. She has on a Duckie Momo onesie, Duckie Momo slippers, and Duckie Momo glasses. In fact, the whole floor has become a Duckie Momo nest, complet with blankets and pillows. She even had a matching onesie for Cass. She also came in knowing all of the songs word for word and had so much fun recreating the "Squirrels in my pants" dance.

When Cass isn't in the Duckie Momo nest with Steph, cuddling a Duckie Momo plushie, she is copying fight scenes from the show. It started off as Steph asking if she could do a move Agent P did, only for her to recreate the whole scene. Now everyone is wanting Cass to copy any of the animals fighting moves, but she declined until she also got a fedora. Damian quickly got her one and declared her an honorary OWCA Agent. Dick tried to join in, but failed. Jason about died laughing about how a platypus could beat Dick in a fight, only for Damian to yell, "Agent P is a worthy opponent, Todd!" with Cass nodding in agreement. Either way, Dick has mainly been pouting ever since.

Tim has been up for about a week before he got dragged into family time. Now, he is just staring numbly at the TV, saying 'mood' whenever Doofenshmirtz talks about his awful childhood backstories (like the one where his parents didn't show up for his birth), giving Bruce an aneurysm each time. Tim is already on the edge, and Bruce just hopes he doesn't gain any motivation to copy Doof's 'take over the Tri-state area' schemes. Bruce especially worries whenever Tim spots a machine and says 'I could build that'.

Unbeknownst to Bruce, Barbara already has the schematics for all of Doof's machines as well as Phineas and Ferb's. What started as a bored interest during summer as a child grew over time, especially with all resources she gained by being Batgirl and Oracle. The information on both are kept in separate secret heavily protected files to keep Tim away from Doof's and Dick away from Phineas and Ferb's. She even has a warning system in place if either of them get close to making one of the machines, either on accident or on purpose, and diverts them away from completing it. The system also includes orders to return any shipments made solely for the purpose of recreating a machine and deleting any records of the order in the first place (hence why Dick's shipment never came). But Babs is content with letting Bruce worry and continues to watch the show with a Duckie Momo blanket spread over her lap (courtesy of Steph).

Since Duke was still working day shift (he wasn't as injured as the others and wanted to flee before there was bloodshed over choosing the movie), he comes back home and happens to conveniently be listening to a playlist of Phineas and Ferb's greatest hits. Upon seeing everyone, Duke takes an earbud out and asks, "Whatcha doin'?" The only answer he got was Steph throwing another Duckie Momo onesie in his face.

An hour later, Jason and Steph are singing BUSTED on top of a table, Jason as a warning to Dick and Steph just for the heck of it. Meanwhile, Cass and Duke acts as Duckie Momo backup dancers with full choreography. Dick wanted to join in as well, but Jason forced him to sit down and watch, hoping the message will sink through, but Dick thinks it is because they don't like his dancing so now he is pouting again. Tim is waving his cellphone light as if this is the most meaningful part of the night, while Damian is about to wrestle the fedora onto Alfred the Cat, as the cat keeps batting it away. All the while, Babs is recording everything.

Bruce is reminded that this is why you should never watch daytime television and turns the channel, despite the cries of anguish. Only to be horrified when Alfred reminds him and the children that show is can be viewed on Disney + and can be streamed at anytime. He runs back to his room as the beginning notes to the intro fill the air and all his children sing along.

You had desperately tried to convince him to give you some of his clothing yet you were only met with a dismissive “next time”, or “they’re dirty”. Ascending the stairs of Leblanc’s attic, you scanned the familiar space for Akira’s presence to give him the pastries he so eagerly asked for on your way to the cafe.

Setting the goods on his organised crafting table, a flash of blue caught your attention amongst the bleakness of his room; at the edge of his bed sat an unfolded collared shirt practically calling your name.

You peeked your head down the stairs, double-checking the boy was nowhere to be seen and that Sojiro was still busy dealing with the strangely high volume of customers that seemed to be making a whole lot of noise over something.

“I mean, he’ll never know right?” you affirmed, holding onto the collar of the shirt. You layer it on over your already light vest top, covering up the printed design as you button up the seemingly inexpensive attire. Was he going somewhere tonight? It was quite unbecoming of him to leave his things about; perhaps he was in a rush. Your ruminations came to an end when you crossed the room to the mirror and admired your impromptu costume change.

You twisted your torso in the mirror, ogling the back side of the pressed shirt. “Well I’ll be damned. Boy’s got style I’ll give it to him.”

“Thank… you?”

Your head snapped towards the staircase, face slack jawed and dancing between horror and disbelief. Lo and behold, there Akira stood, barely moving himself as he takes in the scene before him.

“Welcome back?” Perhaps if you don’t mention it he won’t either. His previous dismissive nature on the subject admittedly made the situation more anxiety-inducing. But even in your shocked state you still notice the blush settling on his cheeks as he gives you a once-over.

Clearing his throat he walks deeper into his room. “I see someone’s gotten comfy already.”

His unrelenting gaze is not helping. At all. He’s just standing there with a stupid expression on his face that makes your heart rate do things it should be. You’re finding it hard to string a response together but manage to muster enough composure to bring explaining.

“I was just dropping off the stuff you asked for, and then I saw this on the bed and I kinda felt compelled to try it on.. sorry? I’ll take it off right now-“

“That won’t be necessary,” he begins, closing the distance between you two. “It looks great. You look great.” You raise your head to meet his eyes as he places a hand to the side of your face, the heat radiating from it making you feel slightly less embarrassed as his temperature was definitely higher than it usually is.

“Thanks…” you say. His surprise is replaced by warmth that circulates throughout his body, cradling your face like his life depended on it. As you lean into his touch, you feel a gentle kiss placed on your forehead, revelling in the wave of affection.

“So, does this mean we share a wardrobe now?” Pulling back from his touch, you try your luck for a more permanent access to his apparel.

He scoffs, adjusting his glasses. “Oh you can wear them whenever you want. So long as you drop one of those by every time.” He gestures to the desk.

You consider his offer.

“Deal.”

Whoo Boy.

1) Ankh got her name from the ancient Egyptian hieroglyphic symbol “☥” used to represent the word for "life", as in, a symbol of life itself.

2) She’s not your average Earth genie - she did in fact, come from a different planet where other cosmic djinn and stranger creatures roamed.

3) Space genies can live for many, MANY years, and their age rate slows down the longer years go by. Ankh herself is still fairly young at about 2,300 years old (equivalent to 23 human years).

4) She does have a family. Parents and multiple siblings. All living in separate planets across the universe. It’s just hard to keep contact with, that’s all....

5) Absolutely big on animals, especially Earth cats and other felines. Will go ‘pssppssppssp’ if she sees one, stray or otherwise.

6) Ankh’s magic is... different, to say the least. She can’t summon something up on a whim unless she already knows how it’s supposed to be like. Ex. A type of outfit that requires specific fabric and accessories. Ankh would think of the fabric and the accessories, but instead of the final outfit she only gets the materials to make the outfit herself. It’s only once she gets used to recreating the design enough times that she can eventually just summon the outfit instead.

7) Ironically, it’s what inspired her to pursue fashion and end up opening the first Earth branch of the Cosmic Apparel Shop, a popular fashion franchise from her former galaxy.

8) When it comes to tea v.s. coffee, Ankh used to be a full ‘tea’ person, with her favorite being green matcha. However, she recently has since been warming up to coffee drinks here and there. No points for guessing who was the reason she changed her mind there.

9) Ankh’s preferred height is 3'6". She does have the ability to shape shift and alter her physical appearance, but she didn’t want to look too intimidating for customers. Some people apparently still distrust genies.

10) At least her cosmic abilities allow her to sense magic and auras of those who are magic/cosmic centric. She personally calls them ‘vibes’ though, for a lack of better word.

11) She was on Earth long enough to witness the rise of internet culture. Hence on why she has so much unusual knowledge on memes. Also fond of Muppet humor.

12) Ankh prefers animated movies over live-action ones, especially Pixar.

13) Her favorite Vocaloid is Hatsune Miku herself, and she wishes to sound like her.

14) Ankh is not the best at singing due to her lisp, but at least her dance skills paid the bills back when she hardly had any customers whatsoever and all she could try was perform on the streets. Now that business has finally been getting a little better, she hasn’t had the urgency to dance in public for money since.

15) The turban stays on no matter what outfit she wears. What she has under it is still a mystery.

16) Her favorite news station is Space Channel 5.

17) She can summon ingredients to then cook something, however a side effect of this is that she can’t taste her own magic food. That’s why she heavily favors meals made by others as she can taste the flavors there.

18) Was absolutely lonely for the first couple of years on Earth save for befriending the crew from the animal-only Circus. Not that she was any popular back at her former planet, either.

19) Despite her (mostly) friendly demeanor Ankh does have her limits and dislikes those who only pretend to be nice/good, and those who cause a scene and risk costing her business. A new reason for disliking others is if she catches you doing harm to a certain sentient flying saucer. 

20) Her vacation of choice is anywhere with a tropical beach setting. Palm trees, sand, ocean waves, summer breeze, a drink in her hand.

Progress Post Week 11

At Dance Creations, what continues to work is the prices of each dance class, the prices of the items of the dance apparel shop are finally starting to work after dropping prices twice and adding some discounts and sales such as Buy one get one 50% off, etc. Also, word of mouth is working by getting more customers to join my company.

What doesn't really seem to work is the management skills still need some work. Because of this, it is still tough to meet some of the expectations of some of the parents.

Regarding business, I've come to realize that when you own a business even if it's alone or with team members it's always challenging especially when you have to keep dancers and their parents when in a safe environment.

About myself, It's always a learning curve but after time goes on I'm becoming better at my job than I was when I started a couple of months ago.

I don’t often leave reviews, but I absolutely HAD to for this romper. Ladies, do yourself a favor and BUY. THIS. ROMPER! I found this item through an influencer on Instagram. It looked SO cute on her and I couldn’t resist trying it for myself.

Upon opening the package, I was immediately impressed with the quality of the fabric. The item feels silky to the touch. It slips on like a regular romper and zips in the back. Additionally there’s a ribbon detail that you can either tie in the back or on the side. I chose the teal color and it was exactly as depicted in the pictures.

I ABSOLUTELY LOVED how this looked on me, and that’s saying a lot because I rarely fall in love with clothing anymore. I couldn’t get over how flattering the romper looked on me. The ribbon helps cinch in my waist even further and it has a sort of romantic feel to it.

My ONLY criticism is that I wish the romper came in more colors for the largest size. I am 5’9 and wear a size 18-20 and bought the XX-Large. It fit perfectly but I felt like the color selection was lacking for that particular size. If I was even one size smaller, the amount of colors available doubled. I would have loved to gotten this in red or maroon, but again, NOT AVAILABLE IN MY SIZE. But that is my only criticism for this item.

All in all, this is a lovely piece and would make a great addition to any wardrobe. I’m going to grab another color very soon!

Under Armour’s Campaign: I Will What I Want- A Sheer Masterstroke

Women are women. A separate gender, a separate identity. They are beautiful and independent. They can keep a family together. Above all, if they don’t exist, how will anyone come into this world? Due to the male-dominated environment, women assume they are lower in capabilities as compared to men. Exactly that was pointed out by Under Armour. It was presumed by the public in general that it was a masculine sportswear brand targeting only men. The sales figures spoke it out loud. In 2013, the brand had a sale of $2.3 billion, out of which only $500 million came from women’s apparel. 

Kevin Plank, founder of Under Armour, was not satisfied with it and was ready to expand. The brand collaborated with six women athletes: ballerina Misty Copeland, model Gisele Bundchen, skiers Sloane Stephens, and Lindsey Vonn, surfer Brianna Cope, soccer player Kelley O’Hara, runner Natasha Hastings, and trainer Natalie Uhling. Under Armour worked on each story to run an effective influencer campaign. The women featured in the videos are an inspiration to fellow aspiring women athletes to not suppress themselves due to any societal norms or similar degradation. 

How Did the Campaign Happen?

Under Armour was considered a male-only brand due to its aggressive and manly nature. Before 2014, the majority of the customer base of the brand was men. The above-mentioned sales figures speak that out loud! The manly appearance made the female target market hesitant to buy the product. So much so that, to achieve the set target the brand had to know what women thought of the brand. Here enters Droga5, the advertising agency hired by Under Armour. They invited women to give their opinions on the brand. The responses were too manly, not for me, aggressive, and too testosterone-filled image. In this way, both, Under Armour and Droga5, got a perspective that women couldn’t relate to the brand. No relatability, therefore lesser sales figures from female group. 

Collaborators in the Campaign:

The campaign’s creative team, Felix Richter and Alexander Nowak, came up with an outstanding idea. They got to “I Will What I Want” by emphasizing willpower in a non-athletic style. On behalf of women, they followed a philosophy: My willpower helps me live my way. There was no obligation for me to adhere to any ideology, modern or old. This was the Under Armour Woman’s image they created before themselves and started working on it. 

They collaborated with six women who broke the stereotypical image of women. Out of those six women, we bring you three women’s stories here:

The Misty Film:

Misty Copeland, a ballet dancer by heart, had defied the stereotypes. She’s only 5’2” tall with a huge bust and a toned midsection. Learning the dance form wasn’t that difficult for her and she started winning big dance competitions due to her talent. Due to a deformity in her feet, she faced multiple dejections, but her grit and love for the art kept her going. A 30-second YouTube ad was shot with the things she was told not to do, while she is shown doing her part effortlessly while the voiceover goes on in the background. The ad became a huge hit with millions of views in much less time. 

The Gisele Film:

Gisele Bundchen, a social media star, and lingerie model, has faced more trolls than one can imagine or take. Again a YouTube video ad, we see a drenched Gisele releasing her anger on a punching bag with the trolls flashing on the walls. Her raw frustrated voice while hitting on the punching bag creates all the impact of the ad. The Droga5 crew were skeptical about the implementation of this ad, but they also knew she was special. Even if a celebrity, you’re never immune to online or offline criticism, is the message portrayed here. 

Lindsey Vonn’s Film:

Lindsey Vonn, a skier by profession, had suffered from a serious injury during one of her skiing sessions. As she was too good at the sport, she was popular. But her fans started trolling her by saying will she be able to make a comeback or not, her career is finished, and things similar to it. But her grit and passion made her able enough to come back stronger. The same story is depicted again wonderfully by the Droga5 crew. 

The Impact These Campaigns Created:

Under Armour’s dedication to its female consumers through specific products and innovations has continued through 2020. The company is releasing its women’s HOVR Breakthru basketball shoe on September 17—available exclusively through Under Armour and Dick’s Sporting Goods online and in stores nationwide—and its Meridian + Moisture Infuse (M+MI) line on September 23.

The M+MI line is an evolution of their popular Meridian legging, featuring fabric that helps replenish lost moisture and keeps the skin hydrated longer. According to studies, individuals lose an average of one liter of water every hour of exercise; wearers of the M+MI line of products benefit from 26% better moisturization after wearing for three consecutive eight-hour days. 

The line also features a no-slip waistband and side pockets; two features directly communicated to Under Armour developers by consumers and athletes through first-hand feedback.

Progress Start-Up Venture

After going through what works and what doesn't, I can now define things that are working more for my company. After going through my company's progress last week. I can say that the prices are still good for the different dance disciplines. There's more money coming in now than the last progress realization.

The thing that still needs some work is the pricing of the dance apparel shop. The prices still need to come down a little bit more so that more people buy stuff from the dance apparel shop.

The project is still coming along great. The customer service of my company is still good.

There are still things that I need to get better at but that will happen just with time. Also, by continuing with my business.
